Motivated by a phenomenon in an experiment conducted in the Northwestern Pacific indicating that the energy of the received signal around the sound channel axis is much greater than that at shallower depths,we study sound propagation from the transitional area(shelfbreak)to deep water.Numerical simulations with different source depths are first performed,from which we reach the following conclusions.When the source is located near the sea surface,sound will be strongly attenuated by bottom losses in a range-independent oceanic environment,whereas it can propagate to a very long range because of the continental slope.When the source is mounted on the bottom in shallow water,acoustic energy will be trapped near the sound channel axis,and it converges more evidently than the case where the source is located near the sea surface.Then,numerical simulations with different source ranges are performed.By comparing the relative energy level in the vertical direction between the numerical simulations and the experimental data,the range of the air-gun source can be approximated.  相似文献

Ambient noise measurements were carried out in shallow brackish water within a frequency range extending up to 70 kHz. The high-frequency spectral slopes become steeper above 10 kHz at intermediate and high wind speeds. This is because the start of the wind speed dependence shifts rapidly to higher wind speeds at frequencies above 13 kHz. A physical explanation for this observation may be the low proportion of bubbles in brackish water that are small enough to radiate sound above 10 kHz. Such bubbles apparently do not begin to develop in brackish water until high wind speeds are attained.  相似文献

Underwater acoustic communication is a core enabling technology with applications in ocean monitoring using remote sensors and autonomous underwater vehicles. One of the more challenging underwater acoustic communication channels is the medium-range very shallow warm-water channel, common in tropical coastal regions. This channel exhibits two key features-extensive time-varying multipath and high levels of non-Gaussian ambient noise due to snapping shrimp-both of which limit the performance of traditional communication techniques. A good understanding of the communications channel is key to the design of communication systems. It aids in the development of signal processing techniques as well as in the testing of the techniques via simulation. In this article, a physics-based channel model for the very shallow warm-water acoustic channel at high frequencies is developed, which are of interest to medium-range communication system developers. The model is based on ray acoustics and includes time-varying statistical effects as well as non-Gaussian ambient noise statistics observed during channel studies. The model is calibrated and its accuracy validated using measurements made at sea.  相似文献

海底地形变化对声传播具有很大影响,在南海深海区域海底斜坡环境下进行了一次声传播实验,实验显示倾斜海底环境下声传播损失出现了一些不同于平坦海底环境下的现象,分析并解释了海底地形变化对产生声传播差异的原因.结果表明,海底斜坡对声波的反射增强作用可使斜坡上方的声传播损失减少约5 d B.当声波第一次入射到达的海底位置有较小幅度的山丘(凸起高度小于1/10海深)时,海底小山丘即可对声波有反射遮挡作用,导致在其反射区特定传播距离和深度上出现倒三角声影区,比平坦海底环境下相同影区位置处的传播损失增大约8 d B,影响深度可达海面以下1500 m.而海底斜坡对声波的反射阻挡作用使得从海面反射及水体向下折射的会聚区结构消失,只剩下从水体向上折射的会聚结构.因此,海底地形对深海声传播影响较大,在水下目标探测和性能评估等应用中应予以重视.  相似文献

It is better to use a simple configuration to enhance the applicability of ocean environment inversion in shallow water.A matched-field inversion method based on a horizontal line array(HLA)is used to retrieve the variation of sound speed profile.The performance of the inversion method is verified in the South China Sea in June,2010.An HLA laid at bottom was used to receive signals from a bottom-mounted transducer.Inverted mean sound speed profiles from 9-hour long acoustic signals are in good agreement with measurements from two temperature chains at the sites of the source and receiver.The results show that an HLA can be used to monitor the variability of shallow-water sound speed profile.  相似文献

针对浅海信道下弹性结构声辐射预报尚无高效可靠的研究方法,提出了一种浅海信道下弹性结构声辐射快速预报的联合波叠加法.该方法结合了浅海信道传输函数、多物理场耦合数值计算法和波叠加法理论,运用该方法可对浅海信道下弹性结构辐射声场进行快速预报.经数值法和解析解法验证后,从信道下辐射源、环境影响和辐射声场测量的角度研究分析了浅海信道下弹性圆柱壳的声辐射特性,阐释了进行浅海信道下结构声辐射研究的必要性.研究结果表明,仅在低频浅海信道下弹性结构可近似等效为点源,信道上下边界对声场产生显著的耦合影响,高频段的空间声场指向性分布尤为明显,垂直线列阵进行信道下结构辐射声功率测量时,测量结果受到信道环境边界和潜深的影响较大.  相似文献

Sound velocity variations in shallow water bodies with gas-saturated water-bottom (ice) interfaces are investigated. The effect of air inclusions in water and water-like bottoms (ice) on the velocity of longitudinal sound waves is qualitatively and quantitatively estimated. It is shown that changes in the sound velocity are mainly governed by the radial resonance, which at low frequencies depends on the quality factor of the zeroth mode of bubble oscillation. For real concentrations of bubbles, the velocity of longitudinal waves may become very low. This may lead to considerable distortions of boundary conditions at rough surfaces and, hence, to enhancement of scattering and absorption of sound waves and additional leakage of acoustic energy into the bottom (ice), as well as considerable changes in the sound velocity profile in surface layers with a change of sign of the velocity gradient from negative to positive, which results in the formation of a subsurface channel or an increase in its power. It is found that water-like bottoms (sediments) and ice (“liquid” ice), which are characterized by shear wave velocities of an order of 15 m/s or less, behave in the kilohertz range almost as a vacuum (C l → 0) when the air content in them reaches several percent. As a result, the propagation of first normal modes in shallow water or in subsurface layers of arctic and oceanic waveguides noticeably changes.  相似文献

本文介绍利用声场复简正波近似确定浅海波导特性的方法。该方法的优点在于:(1)对环境参数的依赖程度大大降低。(2)在对海底介质结构(诸如层的数量、层的厚度、纵波和横波的速度和衰减等)知之不多或根本不了解的情况下,可同时获得波导特性参数(kmm)。(3)确定波导海底界面平面波的反射系数V(k)。数值结果显示:对海底是单层或两层软固态的波导,用90M长、18阵元组成的垂直接收阵,接收频率分别为250Hz、150Hz的声信号,(1)获得的简正波水平波数km的精度均在10-5以上;简正波衰减系数βm的相对误差绝大部分在20%以内,其中前几号都在10%范围内,且简正波号数越低,误差越小。(2)基本反映海底在小掠角的反射相移和反射损失。本文在数值仿真的基础上,重点分析声场复简正波近似对93年冬季海上实验数据的处理结果。  相似文献

The method of vertical modes and horizontal rays and the method of parabolic equation in the horizontal plane are used to study space-time fluctuations of the phase front of the sound field in the presence of a train of internal waves passing through the acoustic path. The possibility of measuring the distortions of the phase front with a simultaneous filtering of modes by a horizontal array is analyzed. A numerical simulation is carried out for the conditions corresponding to the Eastern coast of United States and the Barents Sea.  相似文献

采用一级小斜率近似方法处理空气声经粗糙海面透射至浅海中的声场问题。假定空气、海水和海底为三层均匀介质,将海水层中声场分解为下行波和上行波,导出了粗糙海面条件下下行波和总声场的小斜率近似表达式。导出的声场表达式可由快速傅里叶变换计算,但会出现混叠问题。为了减轻混叠影响,提出了引入额外介质吸收的计算方法。针对高度一维变化且频谱满足PM谱的起伏海面,采用蒙特卡洛仿真计算了相应的水下声场。结果表明,随着海面起伏均方根高度的增加,水下相干场强度减小而均方声压则略有增大。  相似文献

The growth and dynamics of solid surfaces displays a multitude of power law relationships, which are often associated with geometric self-similarity. In many cases the mechanisms behind these power laws are comparatively trivial, and require little more than dimensional analysis for their derivation. The information of interest to surface physicists then resides in the prefactors. This point will be illustrated by recent experimental and theoretical work on the growth-induced roughening of thin films and step fluctuations on vicinal surfaces. The conventional distinction between trivial and nontrivial power laws will be critically examined in general, and specifically in the context of persistence of step fluctuations.  相似文献

本文给出1988、1989和1992年夏季南黄海海域三站位(水深34米、44米和39米)处的温跃层声脉冲反向散射实验结果。实验用窄带脉冲声源的中心频率分别为120kHz、160kHz和200kHz。实验过程中同时用CTD仪昼夜分段记录温、盐、深参数和分层拖网采集浮游生物样本。作者根据R.Kind关于平面波在任意分布不均匀层系上反射系数谱的计算方法,求出以实测温、盐垂直分布构成的不均匀层系上反射系数谱,得到跃层散射在时域上的数值模拟散射信号,与海上实测记录在时域和幅度进行对比。三年同期重复实验结果表明:实测跃层散射波到达接收点的时间与按温度剖面所做数值模拟计算结果相符。浮游生物样品分析数据与声信号记录看不出确定的对应关系,说明声散射主要是海水介质的物理不均匀性引起。  相似文献

Scattering from fish is a primary cause of volume reverberation and, since fish populations change from deep to shallow water, the character of volume reverberation should also change. However, there are few data available to document expected changes. Therefore, an experiment was conducted in the eastern Gulf of Mexico to investigate possible changes in volume reverberation from deep to slope to shelf waters. Results showed that volume reverberation in outer shelf waters varied more rapidly with respect to both time and space than that in deeper waters. Day-time scattering was similar for deep, slope and shelf waters, total scattering strengths generally increased with frequency. Night-time scattering for the deep ocean and slope also increased with increasing frequency. Scattering modeling suggests that swimbladder-bearing fishes smaller than 10 cm were responsible for the observed volume reverberation. Night-time scattering at the outer shelf location was very different, with strong scattering peaks at low frequencies. Scattering modeling implicates 12-15 cm rough scad and round herring as potential causes of the low frequency peaks. Hence, experiment results confirmed that, as expected, volume reverberation over shelf waters is different and more variable than in deeper waters of the eastern Gulf of Mexico.  相似文献

In this work the spectrum of the water molecule has been the subject of extensive experimental and theoretical investigations. More than 1500 transitions have been assigned in a far infrared emission spectrum recorded in the 50-500 cm−1 region and experimental rotational energies have been obtained for the second triad of interacting states, (0 3 0), (1 1 0), and (0 1 1), up to J=10 using flame spectroscopy. These new data along with a large data set of already published experimental rotational energies, high-resolution infrared transitions, and microwave lines, involving the eight first vibrational states, have been analyzed using the theoretical formalism developed for water in a previous paper (J. Mol. Spectrosc. 206 (2001) 83), which accounts for the anomalous centrifugal distortion as well as for the Fermi- and Coriolis-type couplings.  相似文献

为了获得空气中远距离声源激发水下声场的精细结构,2013年3月,声场声信息国家重点实验室在南海海域进行了一次空气中声源激发水下声场的实验。采用汽笛作为空气声源,海底放置水听器作为接收,在实验过程中,发射船由距离水听器2.4 km处行驶至9.8 km。本文对该次实验数据进行分析,获得了收发距离远达9.8 km、频率分别为128 Hz和256 Hz的声传播损失曲线,该曲线随传播距离变化存在清晰的震荡结构.利用波数积分方法计算实验环境下的水下声场理论值,并对获得的声场传播特性进行了较好的物理解释。  相似文献

The research of propagation characteristics of air-to-water sound transmission is of great importance to the detection of aerial targets from underwater.In order to study the propagation characteristics of air-to-water sound transmission in shallow water,State Key Laboratory of Acoustics,Institute of Acoustics,conducted an experiment in the South China Sea in March,2013.During the experiment,multi-frequency signals transmitted by a hooter hung on a research ship were received by an underwater hydrophone,and the distance between the hooter and the hydrophone was from 2.4 km to 9.8 km approximately.Through analyzing experimental data in this work,the experimental air-to-water transmission loss at frequencies128 Hz and 256 Hz is estimated up to 9.8 km in range,and its oscillation structure is evident.The wave-number integration approach is used to simulate theoretical air-to-water transmission losses,which are in good agreement with experimental values and to explain the experimental air-to-water sound transmission characteristics.  相似文献

提出了一种利用目标方位和径向速度联合的浅海目标运动分析方法。该方法克服了传统纯方位目标运动分析方法要求观测站机动的局限性。将浅海传播条件下径向速度的宽带和窄带估计结果与目标方位相结合,利用卡尔曼滤波原理得到了一种目标跟踪定位方法。仿真结果表明,在观测站非机动和低信噪比情况下,该方法利用单个观测站即能够对宽带或窄带的运动目标进行准确地跟踪定位。利用1996年5月的实验数据对算法性能进行了验证,估计结果与真实目标距离符合较好,距离跟踪误差在10%以内。  相似文献
