We calculate the elastic and inelastic ωN→ωN, →πN, →ρN, →ρπN, →ππN, →σN reactions within a boson exchange approximation where the ωρπ coupling constant and form factor are fixed by the reaction πN→ωN in comparison to the experimental data. We find rather large ωN cross sections at low relative momenta of the ω-meson which leads to a substantial broadening of the ω-meson width in nuclear matter. The implications of the ωN final state interactions are studied for ω production in 12C +12C, 40Ca +40Ca and 58Ni +58Ni reactions at about 2 · A GeV within the HSD transport approach; the drastic changes of the transverse mass spectra relative to a general m T-scaling (for π0 and η mesons) might be controlled experimentally by the TAPS Collaboration. Cross sections of scalar mesons f 0(980), a 0(980), and σ(600) production by colliding electron-positron beams are calculated. Two-photon decay widths of scalar mesons obtained in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model are used with quark and meson loops taken into account.  相似文献

We present a calculation of the coupling constant of f0→ργ and a0→ργ decays from the point of view of the light cone QCD sum rules. We estimate the coupling constants gf0ργ, which are an essential ingredient in the analysis of physical processes involving the isoscalar f0(980) and the isovector a0(980) mesons. We study the propagation of the light mesons σ,ω,ρ, and a0(980) in dense hadronic matter in an extended derivative scalar coupling model. Within the scheme proposed it is possible to unambiguously define effective density-dependent couplings at the Lagrangian level. We first apply the model to study asymmetric nuclear matter with fixed isospin asymmetry, and then we pay particular attention to hypermatter in β-equilibrium. The equation of state and the potential contribution to the symmetry coefficient arising from the mean-field approximation are investigated. A systematic calculation of nuclear matter is performed which includes the long-range correlations between nucleons arising from one- and two-pion exchange. Three-body effects from 2π exchange with excitations of virtual Δ(1232)-isobars are also taken into account in our diagrammatic calculation of the energy per particle ˉ(k f). In order to eliminate possible high-momentum components from the interactions we introduce at each pion-baryon vertex a form factor of monopole type. The empirical nuclear matter saturation point, ρ0 ≃ 0.16fm^-3, ˉ0 ≃ - 16MeV, is well reproduced with a monopole mass of Λ ≃ 4πf π ≃ 1.16GeV. As in the recent approach based on the universal low-momentum NN potential V low-k, the inclusion of three-body effects is crucial in order to achieve saturation of nuclear matter. We demonstrate that the dependence of the pion exchange contributions to ˉ(k f) on the “resolution” scale Λ can be compensated over a wide range of Λ by counterterms with two “running” contact couplings. As a further application we study the in-medium chiral condensate 〈ˉq〉(ρ) beyond the linear density approximation. For ρ ⩽ 1.5ρ0 we find small corrections from the derivative dˉ(k f)/dm π, which are stable against variations of the monopole regulator mass Λ.  相似文献

Masses of the ground-state light tetraquarks are dynamically calculated in the framework of the relativistic diquark–antidiquark picture. The internal structure of the diquark is taken into account by calculating the form factor of the diquark–gluon interaction in terms of the overlap integral of the diquark wave functions. It is found that scalar mesons with masses below 1 GeV, f 0(600) (σ), K 0*(800) (κ), f 0(980) and a 0(980), agree well with the light-tetraquark interpretation.  相似文献

The contribution of the σ meson exchange to the pionic double charge exchange (DCX) reaction is investigated. A concrete calculation on the forward excitation function of the low energy DCX reaction 14C(π+, π)14O has been performed. It shows that the contribution of the σ meson exchange can reproduce well the resonance like excitation function of low energy DCX reaction. Received: 5 August 1998  相似文献

A study is reported of the dependence of magnetoresistance Δρ/ρ on the square of magnetization σ 2 of the semiconducting spinelide Cu0.625Ga0.375Cr2Se4, which exhibits a low-temperature transition from long-range magnetic order (LRMO) to the spin glass (SG) state in strong magnetic fields. It is shown that at the freezing temperature T f the Δρ/ρ(σ 2) relations change their slope, and that below T f this slope is about one half that for T>T f. This finding, together with the earlier observation that the freezing temperature does not depend on the frequency of the ac magnetic field in which it was measured, suggests that the spin-glass phase consists of spins of individual Cr3+ ions, and that the SG-LRMO crossover is a phase transition. It is shown that the amplitude for the direct knockout of ρ 0 mesons plays an important role at energies W above the resonance region, W ≳ 2 GeV, and rather high values of Q 2 ≳ 1.5−2 GeV2/c 2 and that it corresponds to the t pole in the channel of the virtual decay pp + π 0 accompanied by quark-spin flip upon momentum transfer to the meson, π 0 + γ* T ρ 0. The contributions of several scalar mesons (pp + f 0 channel), the contribution of the tensor meson f 2, and effects of the interference between different contributions were taken into account in addition to the contribution of the π 0 meson. The vectorand tensor-meson-dominance models were used to estimate the respective vertex constants. Within the proposed mechanism, the differential cross sections L /dt and T /dt were calculated for several W and Q 2 values at which the respective total cross sections were measured by the CLAS Collaboration. Agreement with data on the transverse part of the total cross section, σ T , was attained, whereby the assumption of a dominant role of magnetic spin transitions in the meson skin of the nucleon under conditions of quasielastic-knockout kinematics is confirmed. At the same time, the contribution of spin-flip transitions is suppressed in the longitudinal part of the cross section, σ L , and this is confirmed by the results of our calculations. The behavior of the differential cross section T /dt is predicted with an eye to future experiments.  相似文献

A role of the axial-vector mesons, such as K1 and a1, on the emitted-photon spectrum in hot hadronic matter is studied through the channels πρ→a 1→πγ and Kρ→K 1Kγ. Both channels could be dominant over the region lower than E γ∼ 0.5 GeV, while the role of the K1 meson is diminished in the higher E γ region. This study is carried out with an SU L(3) ⊗SU R(3) effective chiral Lagrangian which includes vector and axial-vector mesons systematically and explains well their hadronic and radiative decays simultaneously. We present a new model for the hyperon-nucleon (ΛN , ΣN interaction, derived within the meson exchange framework. The model incorporates the standard one-boson exchanges of the lowest pseudoscalar and vector meson multiplets with coupling constants fixed by SU(6) flavor symmetry relations. As a new feature, the contribution in the scalar-isoscalar (σ sector is derived from a microscopic model of correlated ππ and Kˉ exchange. The same model is also used to constrain the interaction resulting from the vector-isovector (ρ exchange channel. Additional short-ranged ingredients of the model in the scalar-isovector (a0) and scalar-isospin-1/2 (κ channels are likewise viewed as arising from meson-meson correlations but are treated phenomenologically. With this model a satisfactory reproduction of the available hyperon-nucleon data is achieved.  相似文献

We calculate the radiative decay widths of the a 0(980) and f 0(980) scalar mesons into ργ and ωγ considering the dynamically generated nature of these scalar resonances within the realm of the chiral unitary approach. The main ingredient in the evaluation of the radiative width of the scalar mesons are the loops coming from the decay into their constituent pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar components and the subsequent radiation of the photon. The dominant diagrams with only pseudoscalar mesons in the loops are found to be convergent while the divergence of those with a vector meson in the loop are written in terms of the two-meson loop function easily regularizable. We provide results for all the possible charge channels and obtain results, with uncertainties, which differ significantly from quark loops models and some version of vector meson dominance.  相似文献

Claims have been made that f0(1370) does not exist. The five primary sets of data requiring its existence are refitted with suitable Breit–Wigner amplitudes. Major dispersive effects due to the opening of the 4π threshold are included for the first time; the σ→4π amplitude plays a strong role. Crystal Barrel data on p̄p→3π0 at rest require f0(1370) signals of at least 32 and 33 standard deviations (σ) in 1S0 and 3P1 annihilation respectively. Furthermore, they agree within 5 MeV for mass and width. Data on p̄p→ηηπ0 agree and require at least a 19σ contribution. This alone is sufficient to demonstrate the existence of f0(1370). BES II data for J/Ψ→φπ+π- contain a visible f0(1370) signal >8σ. In all cases, a resonant phase variation is required. Cern–Munich data for ππ elastic scattering are fitted well with the inclusion of some mixing between σ, f0(1370) and f0(1500). Values of Γ for f2(1565), ρ3(1690), ρ3(1990) and f4(2040) are determined. PACS 13.25.Gv; 14.40.Gx; 13.40.Hq  相似文献

We study the production of meson resonance atpT≥2 GeV/c inπ Be interactions at two beam energies (150 and 300 GeV/c). The motivation is to look for the higher twist (HT) production mechanism, expected to exist besides standard hadron production through the fragmentation process of scattered quarks and gluons, the so-called leading twist (LT) mechanism. We show that the φ, K*0 (892) andK*0 (892) are found free from HT effects with a good accuracy, as expected from HT estimates and QCD sum rules. The magnitudes of thef 2(1270) andρ 0 mesons signals are found larger than expected from the standard Lund (LT) Monte Carlo and from information provided bye + e annihilation experiments. The possible connection of these excesses with HT physics is discussed. We also report the first evidence for the production off 0(975) mesons in hadronic experiments at largep T.  相似文献

We present the results of the current analysis of the partial wave IJ PC = 00+ + based on the available data for meson spectra ( ππ, KˉK,ηη,η,ππππ). In the framework of the K-matrix approach, the analytical amplitude has been reconstructed in the mass region 280 MeV < < 1900 MeV. The following scalar-isoscalar states are seen: comparatively narrow resonances f 0(980), f 0(1300), f 0(1500), f 0(1750) and the broad state f0(1200-1600). The positions of the amplitude poles (masses and total widths of the resonances) are determined as well as pole residues (partial widths to meson channels ππ, KˉK,ηη,η,ππππ). The fitted amplitude gives us the positions of the K-matrix poles (bare states) and the values of bare-state couplings to meson channels thus allowing the quark-antiquark nonet classification of bare states. On the basis of the obtained partial widths to the channels ππ, KˉK,ηη,η, we estimate the quark/gluonium content of f 0(980), f 0(1300), f 0(1500), f 0(1750), f0(1200-1600). For f 0(980), f 0(1300), f 0(1500) and f 0(1750), their partial widths testify the qˉq origin of these mesons though being unable to provide precise evaluation of the possible admixture of the gluonium component in these resonances. The ratios of the decay coupling constants for the f0(1200-1600) support the idea about the gluonium nature of this broad state. The inclusive production cross sections of the strange vector mesons K*0, K̄*0, and φ have been measured in interactions of 920 GeV protons with C, Ti, and W targets with the HERA-B detector at the HERA storage ring. Differential cross sections as a function of rapidity and transverse momentum have been measured in the central rapidity region and for transverse momenta up to pT = 3.5 GeV/c. The atomic number dependence is parametrised as σpApN*Aα, where σpN is the proton–nucleon cross section. Within the phase space accessible, α(K*0)=0.86±0.03, α(K̄*0)=0.87±0.03, and α(φ)=0.96±0.02. The total proton–nucleon cross sections, determined by extrapolating the differential measurements to full phase space, are σpN→K*0=(5.06±0.54) mb, σpN→K̄*0=(4.02±0.45) mb, and σpN→φ=(1.17±0.11) mb. For all resonances the Cronin effect is observed; compared to the measurements of Cronin et al. for K± mesons, the measured values of α for φ mesons coincide with those of K+ mesons for all transverse momenta, while the enhancement for K*0/K̄*0 mesons is smaller.  相似文献

The t-channel contribution to the difference of electromagnetic polarizabilities of the nucleon, (α - β)t, can be quantitatively understood in terms of a σ-meson pole in the complex t-plane of the invariant scattering amplitude A 1(s, t) with properties of the σ-meson as given by the quark-level Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model (NJL). Equivalently, this quantity may be understood in terms of a cut in the complex t-plane where the properties of the σ-meson are taken from the ππ → σ → ππ, γγ → σ → ππ and Nˉ → σ → ππ reactions. This equivalence may be understood as a sum rule where the properties of the σ-meson as predicted by the NJL model are related to the f 0(600) particle observed in the three reactions. In the following, we describe details of the derivation of (α - β)t making use of predictions of the quark-level NJL model for the σ-meson mass. An erratum to this article is available at .  相似文献
