The excitation spectrum of NO2 was investigated in the blue region by using a Nd:YAG laser-pumped dye laser. The 463- and 474-nm bands of the 2B2-2A1 system were identified and analyzed using the simplification that occurs if the excitation spectrum is monitored at particular wavelengths. Band origins and rotational constants were obtained. Vibrational assignments have been given to these bands by comparing the Franck-Condon Factors calculated for the 2B2-2A1 system with the fluorescence intensities of bands going to different vibrational levels of the ground state. The vibrational assignments and molecular constants obtained in this work are (v1, v2, v3) = (3, 11, 0)ν0(K′ = 0) = 21584.1, B = 0.405, and ?′∥ = 0.05 cm?1 for the 463-nm band; and (v1, v2, v3) = (2, 12, 0), ν0(K′ = 1) = 21104.9, B = 0.408, and ?′∥ = 0.03 cm?1 for the 474-nm band.  相似文献

The mean-square amplitudes of Cd and S atoms in CdS were determined for vibrations parallel as well as perpendicular to the c-axis. The results were obtained by measuring the temperature dependence of X-ray integrated intensities for reflections from both basal and prismatic planes in nearly perfect crystals. The analysis of the experimental data is given in detail. The following results were found for T = 295°K: 〈u2Cd = 2.85±0.04×10?18cm2, 〈u2s = 1.94 ± 0.08 × 10?18cm2, 〈u2Cd= 2.39 ± 0.04 × 10?18cm2 and 〈u2s = 1.63 ± 0.08 × 10?18cm2. The fact that Cd atoms have a larger vibrational amplitude than the S atoms is briefly discussed.  相似文献

The average transverse momentum squared, 〈p2〉, of hadrons is studied as a function of W2 and of Q2 for ν and ν interactions on an isoscalar target. An increase of 〈p2〉 with W2 is observed for the hadrons emitted forward in the hadronic c.m.s. The p dependence of the fragmentation function is found to factorise from the structure function at fixed W, but does not factorise at fixed Q2. Unlike the case of forward-going particles, the 〈p2〉 of hadrons going backward in the c.m.s. shows no strong dependence on W2.  相似文献

The energy of the Dirac sea of interacting urfermions in a lattice space withZ 3 points is calculated using Heisenberg's Hamiltonian and a two-particle approximation which is a variational calculation with the test function ¦?〉=e iη¦D 0〉; ¦D 0〉 is the Dirac sea without interaction,η=(ψ ° ψ) a bilinear expression of the urfermion creation and annihilation operators. The same result is obtained by a BCS-calculation. Beyond that, we derive simple lower and upper bounds for the energy. Excited states are considered consisting of a particle-antiparticle pair with the energyE=2√ω 2+M 2. The massM and the interaction constantW are connected by the equation (4W)?1=Z ?3∑(ω 2+M 2)?1/2. For usual masses 4W~√Z/1 (1 a nuclear length). Methods are discussed to improve the results.  相似文献

The parity-violating mixing of the 17/2? and 17/2+ levels in93Tc nuclei, polarized by the tilted multifoil interaction, was measured by the observation of the forwardbackwardγ-ray asymmetry. The asymmetry was determined to beA γ=1.18(48)×10?3. The nuclear polarization was determined in a measurement of the quadrupole interaction in a92Mo isomer and the parity violation matrix element 〈H PV〉 is found to be ¦〈H PV〉¦ =0.8(4) meV.  相似文献

Interaction of an unpaired electron of the tetrahedral V4+ ion in Ca3In2Ge3O12 garnet with the four nearest In nuclei gives rise to clearly resolved structure of EPR spectra. We report the observation and analysis of these spectra at three frequencies and at temperature 77 K. The temperature dependence between liquid helium and the room temperatures was also studied. Parameters of the spin Hamiltonian are g=1·8735; g=1·9825; ∣ ¦A|=150·4×10?4cm?1; ¦ A¦ = 36·7 × 10?4 cm?1. The supertransferred hyperfine interaction was found to be isotropic, absolute value of the corresponding parameter a is 22·1 × 10?4 cm?1.  相似文献

Published data of Steinsvoll et al. on high-angle elastic scattering of polarized neutrons by Tb metal are interpreted. States of the 4f-5d system at any one atomic site are assumed to be expressible as sums of products of 4f states ¦6M〉 with 5d states ¦dM〉, where ¦6M〉 (M = 6, 5 or 4) denote 4f states with components M of their angular momenta along the b axis, and ¦dM〉 denote 5d states which satisfy 〈d6¦d5〉 = β, 〈d6¦d4〉 = β2. A small angle ? is introduced which represents an amount of tipping of the 4f moment away from the b axis which would occur if β = 1. The radii of 4f wave functions are allowed to increase by a small fraction s above values given by LS-averaged Dirac-Fock calculations. The quantities ?, βε, s and the effective polarization P of the neutron beam used are treated as adjustable parameters subject to β ? 1, and a fifth partially adjustable parameter subject to a constraint due to input information is introduced. A good fit to the results for eighteen scattering wave vectors q for which (q)>5nm?1 is obtained with ε=(10+4?2)°, βε=(9±1)° and s=(0.018 ± 0.003).  相似文献

Considering certain interesting features in the previously reported 166Er Mössbauer effect, and neutron diffraction data on the polycrystalline form of ErPd2Si2 crystallizing in the ThCr2Si2-type tetragonal structure, we have carried out magnetic measurements (1.8–300 K) on the single crystalline form of this compound. We observe significant anisotropy in the absolute values of magnetization (indicating that the easy axis is c-axis) as well as in features due to magnetic ordering in the plot of magnetic susceptibility χ versus temperature T at low temperatures. The χ(T) data reveal that there is a pseudo-low-dimensional magnetic order setting in at 4.8 K, with a three-dimensional antiferromagnetic order setting in at a lower temperature (3.8 K). A new finding in the χ(T) data is that, for H∥〈1 1 0〉 but not for H∥〈0 0 1〉, there is a broad shoulder in the range 8–20 K, indicative of the existence of magnetic correlations above 5 K as well, which could be related to the previously reported slow-relaxation-dominated Mössbauer spectra. Interestingly, the temperature coefficient of electrical resistivity is found to be isotropic; no feature due to magnetic ordering could be detected in the electrical resistivity data at low temperatures, which is attributed to magnetic Brillioun-zone boundary gap effects. The results reveal the complex nature of magnetism of this compound.  相似文献

We present a Monte Carlo program for event simulation of Quantum Chromodynamics ine +e? annihilation, which includes multi-emission of quanta treated in the leading-logarithm approximation. Some difficulties of currentO s ) phenomenology, associated with the treatment of divergences, are eliminated, without essentially altering the results of the analysis of the data from PETRA. At the same time a direct extension is provided of current QCD phenomenology to LEP energies, where multi-emission effects cannot be ignored. Detailed predictions for hadrons within the LEP energy interval are reported. With respect to conventionalO s ) calculations, some new predicted features are: i) an average hadron multiplicity rising faster than logW, whereW is the c.m. energy, ii) a slower increase of the average hadron transverse momentum, 〈p T 2 〉∝αα s (W 2)W instead of the ∝α s (W 2)W 2 behaviour expected in theOα s ) approximation. Implications for detector design and pattern recognition at LEP are also discussed.  相似文献

Measurements of the inclusive pion electroproduction reaction e?+p → e?+π±+X made at the Wilson Synchrotron Laboratory are reported. Data were taken at points with nominal (Q2, W) values of (0.6, 2.67), (1.2, 2.67), (2.0, 2.67) and (1.2, 2.15) in (GeV2, GeV). A more complete angular distribution was taken at (1.2, 2.67). The virtual photoproduction cross section for π+ + missing mass is studied as a function of missing mass, Feynman scaling variables, Q2 and W. The invariant cross section show a simple behavior as a function of Q2 and W. Its dependenc on P2, x′ and φ is determined.  相似文献

It is shown thatBrenig's method of deriving the basic equations of the Independent-Pair Model can also be understood from a variational principle applied to the pseudoexpectation value 〈п¦H¦Ψ〉 (п=model wave function,Ψ=true wave function). Deviations from a vanishing first and second variation of 〈п¦H¦Ψ〉 with respect to the model wave functionп are shown to be due only to the independent-pair approximation, and thus permit us to make a qualitative estimate of the accuracy of this method.  相似文献

The total (p, n) reaction cross section for51V has been measured as a function of proton energy in the energy range 1·56 to 5·53 MeV with thick and thin targets. The fluctuations in the fine resolution excitation functions were analysed, to extract 〈Γ〉, the coherence width. The thick target excitation function suitably averaged over appropriate energy intervals has been compared with the optical model, Hauser-Feshbach and Hauser-Feshbach-Moldauer calculations. The strong isobaric analog resonance atE p ~ 2·340 has been shape analysed to extract the proton width Γ p , the spreading withW and the spectroscopic factor.  相似文献

Considered first is the cross sectiond σ(J′←J)/ for the rotational transitionJ′←J of a linear rotator in collisions. The set of cross sections for a givenJ and for allJ′ defines a discrete spectral distribution as a function of the transition energy ΔE=E(J′)?E(J). In both the classical and the quantum mechanical sudden approximations the moments \(S(\mu ;J) = \sum\limits_{J'} {(\Delta {\rm E}} )^\mu d\sigma (J' \leftarrow J)/d\omega \) of ordersμ=2n andμ=2n+1 (n=0,1,...) are polynomials of degreen in the rotational energyE(J). The special cases forn=0 indicate thatS(0;J) andS(1;J) are independent ofJ. This is a theorem proved elsewhere. Explicit expressions forS(μ; J) of low orders are presented. They are derived on the assumption of equal relative velocitiesv andv′ before and after the collision. Correction onS(μ;J) for the difference betweenv andv′ is made to the lowest order in terms ofS(μ+1;J) forv=v′. The quantum mechanical results for linear rotators are extended to spherical-top and symmetric-top rotators. These results apply not only to the collision cross section but also to a physical quantity expressible in the form ¦〈Γ′¦F¦Γ〉¦2 of a transition probability withany F that is independent of the initial and final rotational states ¦Γ〉 and ¦Γ′〉.  相似文献

The magnetization σ and the longitudinal (λ) and transverse (λ) magnetostrictions of the NiFe0.5Cr1.5O4 ferrite containing the tetrahedral ions Ni2+ with the triplet orbital ground state have been investigated for the first time at a temperature of 4.2 K in fields up to 55 kOe. It is revealed that the NiFe0.5Cr1.5O4 ferrite exhibits an anomalously large magnetic anisotropy (H c=12.5 kOe) and magnetostrictions (λ≈?870×10?6 and λ≈800×10?6). In strong fields, the magnetostrictions λ and λ are found to be anisotropic in character; i.e., the susceptibility Δλ∥p and Δλ⊥p. The conclusion is drawn that the studied compound is characterized by two paraprocesses: one paraprocess in the B sublattice has an exchange nature, and the second process in the A sublattice is due to the spin-orbit interaction of Ni A 2+ ions.  相似文献

The reaction γ pJp has been studied in ep interactions using the ZEUS detector at HERA. The cross section for elastic J/ψ photoproduction has been measured as a function of the photon-proton centre of mass energy W in the range 40 < W < 140 GeV at a median photon virtuality Q 2 of 5 × 10?5 GeV2. The photoproduction cross section, σγp→ J/ψp, is observed to rise steeply with W. A fit to the data presented in this paper to determine the parameter δ in the form σγp→ J/ψp α W δ yields the value δ = 0.92±0.14±0.10. The differential cross section dσ/d ¦t¦is presented over the range ¦t¦< 1.0 GeV2 where t is the square of the four-momentum exchanged at the proton vertex. dσ/d ¦t¦falls exponentially with a slope parameter of $4.6pm 0.4_{-0.6}^{+0.4} {? GeV}^{-2}$. The measured decay angular distributions are consistent with s-channel helicity conservation.  相似文献

Inclusive ρ0 production in neutrino-proton charged-current interactions is studied, using a sample of 7831 events obtained in BEBC filled with hydrogen and exposed to the CERN wideband neutrino beam. An average multiplicity of 0.14±0.02 ρ0 per event is found, corresponding to a ratio 〈ρ0〉/〈π?〉=0.13±0.02. The ρ0 production characteristics are determined as functions of leptonic variables (W, Q2, χB) and hadronic variables (χF, z, pt2) and are found to be similar to those determined for hadron- and other lepton-induced reactions.  相似文献

The thermal variation of the magnetic susceptibility of (V2-yWy)O5 solid solutions is analysed between 2.5 and 220°K. We determine the number of paramagnetic V4+ centers induced by the presence of W6+ ions. The ratio between the number of V4+ and W6+ ions is a function of the composition, decreasing with y.
