We have developed a two-week summer lecture and laboratory course that introduces high school students to concepts in nuclear science. The program has operated at the San Jose State University Nuclear Science Facility for two years. Experienced high school science teachers run the summer school, assisted by other science teachers. Students consider the program to be effective. 为了培养学生对高分子科学技术的专业兴趣,激发学习热情,浙江大学从2004年开始面向高分子材料专业本科生开设《高分子近代史》专业选修课。通过让同学们了解高分子科学和高分子工业的建立和发展历程,建立和加深学生对高分子科学和学科知识整体性、结构性的理解。以世界高分子发展和中国高分子发展的两条线索向同学们介绍高分子科学技术发展中的重要历史事件、涌现的著名高分子科学家、产生的具有历史性意义的研究成果与材料,给同学们展现高分子科学与技术发展的波澜壮阔的历史画卷。经过十多年的尝试和努力,《高分子近代史》课程在教学内容、授课方式和考核方式上均形成了自己的教学特色,受到了本科生的欢迎,对激发和培养同学们学习高分子的兴趣和热情,起到了积极的作用。  相似文献

为了适应现代医学和护理科学的发展,培养合格的实践能力强的护理人才,提高护理队伍的素质,满足临床护理的需要,根据学校的实习教学大纲精神,结合本科的实际情况制定了实习教学目标。对2003年7月-2004年3月在广州市第六人民医院内一科实习的共50名中专护生进行了目标教学带教。结果显示,通过将近8个月的临床实践及总结,从学生的出科综合考试成绩中可以体现出有目标计划的教学方式比以往传统的带教方式取得了更好的效果。说明有目标教学使实习目标细致明确,有利于培养护生学习的积极性和主动性;目标教学方式还改变了过去盲目带教的现象,为老师提供了更加详细具体更具可操作性的教学内容及目标,有利于发挥带教老师的指导作用,有利于提高带教的质量,更有利于培养合格的实践能力强的新型实用护理人才。  相似文献

基于化学教学论课程来研究师范生PCK的发展情况。数据主要来源于师范生的教学设计及访谈,使用PCK地图作为分析工具。研究发现,经过课程教学,师范生在教学设计中主动表现出的可被识别的PCK片段数量明显增多。师范生PCK各要素均得到有效发展,但发展不够均衡,教学策略知识发展最好,课程知识和学生知识发展不够完善,教学取向知识和学生评价知识发展相对薄弱。此外,师范生PCK各要素之间的关联基本建立,但关联的稳定性和强度存在一定差异。  相似文献

Why is assessment of student learning important? The National Science Education Standards chapter on Assessment in Science Education states that assessment is “primary feedback” [1]. Assessment of learning supplies instructors with feedback on how well their students are learning course material, and students are provided information about how well they are meeting teachers’ expectations. Assessment of learning is useful for communicating the expectations of an educational program. Communication helps instructors know what to teach, how to teach, and where to find the material to teach. Assessment of student learning can also be used for program planning and improvement. For example, placement tests can be used as advising tools. Student work, in the form of portfolios, might serve as partial evidence of the quality of an undergraduate chemistry program. In summary, assessment of learning can provide information to:
  • Students, about the extent of their learning and possibilities for success in future courses.
  • Faculty, about the extent to which their teaching practices are facilitating student learning, and how they might make modifications to those practices.
  • Administrators and other stakeholders, about course articulation, program effectiveness, and what students are able to do as they complete a program.
  • A comprehensive literature review about assessing learning in K-12 science education has examined assessment of learning techniques as well as policy-related issues [2].

    Advances in science and technology are now at the heart of the global economy, but the number of students earning degrees in the sciences, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields has stalled. According to the National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE), programs have been initiated nationwide to nurture interest in the sciences, including research competitions, co-ops and internships, and K-12 STEM education. Senior thermal analysis scientists are not only researchers, they are role models, mentors and teachers intimately involved in the recruitment and training of young scientists. The authors present guidelines for thermal analysis research project planning for high school students, undergraduate students and master’s and doctoral candidates. Project planning includes developmentally appropriate techniques, methods, instruments, scope and significance. Case studies illustrate examples of short-term, concrete materials analysis projects tailored to younger student researchers, as well as master’s level projects making significant contributions to the state of the science and innovative doctoral research. In addition to designing projects for students at all levels, senior thermal analysis scientists can use specific teaching and training techniques to help young scientists develop their abilities in the lab and at the podium.  相似文献

    为激发青少年科学兴趣、培养青少年化学探究与创新能力和拓展高等院校的社会服务功能,华东师范大学建设了面向社会开放的青少年化学科普基地。科普基地以化学探索工作室、化学实践工作室和化学实验数字化工作室为主体,在空间布局上突出化学特色,具有科技展馆的视觉效果。科普基地开设了系列化学科普讲座、系列趣味化学实验及化学探究课题,构建了"中小学生、在校师范生和中小学教师"三位一体的教学实践模式,在青少年化学知识普及和实践创新能力培养方面取得了较好的实践效果。华东师范大学化学科普基地实现了青少年科普基地与学校常规教学工作的有机结合,有效地解决了高校自身培养目标与服务社会之间的矛盾,希望能为高等院校科普基地的建设提供有益的借鉴。  相似文献

    介绍黎明职业大学高分子材料加工技术专业的核心课程《高分子材料分析与测试》的课程设计和教学改革的做法。课程以实现学生向"准员工"的转变为教学目标。通过对行业企业进行调研,确定该课程的对接岗位为质量检验岗位,工作内容为化验、质检和品管,基于岗位工作内容进行课程设计。采用项目化方式,三个工作内容分别对应以典型方法、典型产品和典型常识为项目进行模块设计。以模块任务为中心,将教师的"讲"与学生的"练"有机结合起来,综合应用提倡学生互教的交互培训法、引导学生自主学习的主题探究法、锻炼学生专业素质的四阶段技能训练法等教学方法。  相似文献

    This article seeks to educate the reader about the role played by the microfluidics teaching lab in the education of science, technology, engineering and mathematics for students of all ages. The discussion is intended to serve as a general guide to educators about the lab philosophy, goals, lab experiments and required equipment and reagents necessary for a successful microfluidics teaching laboratory. We hope that this article will stimulate other groups and companies to describe what they are doing to encourage education in this sector. At LabSmith we have developed a modular approach for teaching and demonstrating microfluidics that allows the end user to tailor the laboratory to course goals without an impact on the package of experimental equipment required and available to them. Thus, it is possible to educate students either in the art of microfluidics or use microfluidics to educate students about fundamental physical, chemical, or biological principles. The laboratory experiments discussed here are for students with educational experience at high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels.  相似文献

    During the years of 2015 to 2018, the inorganic chemistry course in Tianjin University has gradually transited from small private on-line course (SPOC) to flipped classroom. Flipped classroom teaching practices were carried out at more than 30 classes at our university by the sufficient use of on-line course resources. These practices effectively improve the quality of teaching, and greatly solve the problem of poor learning initiative and low participation of the students existing in current traditional teaching model. This article in detail introduces and summarizes the following four aspects, including transition of teaching modes, construction of online resources, online and offline supervising, test scores analysis and teaching thought. The effective ways for flipped classroom mode are discussed to improve students' knowledge and learning ability. And it also provides references for teachers to carry out their classroom teaching reform.  相似文献
