149, 151Gd fused in gadolinium metal have been oriented at low temperature. The main results are: ¦ (149Gd,7/2¦=0.97(6)N, ¦(151Gd,7/2¦= 0.77(6)N and I(149Eu,939 keV)=7/2. Some M1/E2 and E2/M3 mixing ratios in Eu daughter nuclei are also established.  相似文献

The zero-field hyperfine splitting frequencies of a series of Au isotopes in Fe and Ni have been determined with nuclear magnetic resonance on oriented nuclei. The results are:. For198Au(2) in Fe the quadrupole splitting could be resolved. The results are ¦gNBHF/h|=259.48 (3) MHz and e2qp/h=–2.08(4) MHz. Our measurements show that most hyperfine splittings published on these isotopes have been incorrect. The quadrupole splitting of198AuFe disagrees in magnitudeand sign from the value reported by single-passage NMR on oriented nuclei. The following nuclear quantities are deduced: (197mAu,11/2)=5.98(9) N; (198mAu, 12)=5.85(9) N; (200mAu, 12)=5.90(9) N; Q(198Au,2)/Q(199Au, 3/2+)=1.37(3). Our measurements show further that the non-contact hyperfine field for Au in Ni is smaller than assumed previously, and that the magnetic hyperfine splitting frequency of197AuFe known from NMR is inconsistent with the magnetic hyperfine splitting frequencies of198, 199AuFe.  相似文献

An interesting static spherically symmetric solution corresponding to Einstein-Maxwell gravity coupled to a dilaton field with negative kinetic term has been obtained. This solution is characterized by the set of two arbitrary parameters, the physical mass 0 and electric chargeQ. It has two horizons on which the metric, scalar curvature and both dilaton and electromagnetic fields are regular. Another feature of this solution is that the physical mass is bounded by the electric charge as 0Q¦ (unlike the Reisner-Nordström solution for which 0>-¦Q¦). The object of the present paper is to study the MHD effects on the laminar flow of a viscous, incompressible and conducting fluid in an annulus with arbitrary time-varying pressure gradient and arbitrary initial velocity in presence of a radial magnetic field. The local magnetic moment and hyperfine fieldB hf at Fe and V sites in hydrogenated iron and iron-vanadium were calculated using the discrete variational method. The variations in andB hf with H occupation of the octahedral (O) site were considered. It was found that when H occupies the O site neighbouring an Fe atom, both local moment and hyperfine field at this atom decrease linearly with increasing number of H atoms. The rate of decrease is larger for Fe in iron as compared to iron in vanadium. On the other hand, when H resides at an O site next neighbouring an Fe atom, whether in iron metal or in iron-vanadium, the Fe magnetic moment increases slowly, while the hyperfine field remains almost constant. The V moment in iron, which is negative (–0.83 B ), becomes less negative (–0.30 B) as H occupies the neighboring O sites, whereas slight changes occur (–0.88 B) when H is at the next neighbouring O site. The net effect of H on Fe in iron is to decrease the average magnetic moment at a rate of 1.2 B per H/Fe for low H content. On the other hand, the average Fe moment in an iron-vanadium alloy increases if H resides at O sites which are immediate neigbours of V and next neighbours of Fe. This may explain the development of a magnetic state on hydrogenation of Fe-V alloys, which is exhibited by the specific heat and susceptibility measurements. The changes in the isomer shift were found to agree with experimental trends.  相似文献

The magnetic moments of the proton drip-line nuclei13O(I = 3/2,T 1/2 = 8.6 ms) and 9C(I = 3/2,T 1/2 = 126 ms) have been determined for the first time through the combined techniques of polarized radioactive nuclear beams and-NMR detection. The observed magnetic moments are ¦(13O)¦ = 1.3891 ±0.0003 N and ¦(9C)¦ = 1.3914 ±0.0005 N. Spin expectation values are deduced to be 0.76 and 1.44 for13O and9C, respectively. While the of13O is consistent with the systematics from isospinT= 1/2 mirror pairs, the of9C is unusually large, even far larger than the single particle value, = 1.  相似文献

The stationary states of electrovac fields for which the geodesic eigenrays of both the Maxwell and gravitational field coincide are investigated. The fact that the Kerr-Newman solutions belong to this class lends physical interest to the fields considered here. Particular attention is devoted to fields with shearing eigenrays since principal null congruences do not coincide with eigenrays in this case, and so earlier approaches to the problem fail. By the generalisation of a theorem on the corresponding vacuum case, it is proven that no spherical solutions exist in the shearing class, with the exception of the fields with 2¦GO¦2-¦HO¦2=O.The metrics with O, admitted by the theorem, can either be calculated from the corresponding vacuum solutions by a relatively simple procedure, or, if not, we list them explicitly in this paper.  相似文献

On the basis of an arbitrary (V, A) structure of the neutral weak ¯ee and LL currents (L=, M0) a study is made of the processes of production in colliding electron-positron beams of pairs of heavy leptons with subsequent decays in accordance with the schemes e+evµv) + +( anything) and e+eM0e+ve) + M0( anything). Quasistationary states with energies < exist in the vicinity of a Schwarzchild black hole. The process of filling of these states by massive spinor particles is examined. The analysis is conducted in the Pauli approximation for small black holes M 1. We study the integrated density of statesH( 2) of a chain of harmonic oscillators with a binary random distribution of the masses. We show in particular that there is a dense set of values of the squared frequency for which the differenceH( 2+)-H( 2) has a singularity of the type ¦¦2, multiplied by a periodic function of ln ¦¦, where the exponent and the period depend continuously on 2. In the region where < 1/2,H is not differentiate on a dense set of points. The same type of singularities is also present in the Lyapunov coefficient.  相似文献

We study theE-dependence of the Lyapounov exponent <(E)> of an electron with energyE in the one dimensional Anderson model with off diagonal disorder. In the neighbourhood of the band centre we find for nonzero disorder E)>log–1 E0 forE0, but all even moments of Re(E) diverge logarithmically. As the probability of Re (E)=0 decreases to zero forE0 we conclude that the electron is always exponentially localised.  相似文献

The stability of the three-dimensional multiple-charged soliton solutions to the nonlinear field equations is studied by Lyapunov's method. It is proved that an absolutely stable soliton solution can not exist in any field model. By imposing the subsidiary condition pQi=0 (fixation of charges) we find a sufficient condition for stability of the stationary soliton which includes the inequality k i (Q i / k <0. 4S3/24I9/2 (1.663m) and4I11/24I13/2 (2.731m) laser transitions in YAPEr were studied using a material containing Fe, hydroxil impurities and other codopants. Iron impurity causes luminescence quenching of both the4S3/2 and4I11/2 levels whereas OH ions enlarge losses, particularly at 2.731m. The effect of iron and hydroxil impurities may be easily diminished by adding Mg2+ ions, whereas the admixture of Ce3+ or Zr4+ brings no positive effects.  相似文献

Closed form expressions for all partial waves of the pure Coulomb off-shell T-matrix p¦ Tc,l.(k 2) ¦p are obtained. All singularities appear through simple special functions, which makes it possible to study the analytic properties of p¦ Tc,l(k2) ¦p as a function not only of one of the momentap, p but even of both of them. With use of the renormalization procedure found by Zorbas the transition to half-and on-shell values is performed reproducing known expressions. By the same method simple expressions for the partial waves of the Coulomb wave function in the momentum representation are found.  相似文献

124I has been implanted into iron foils using the recoil technique with the123Sb(,3n) reaction. The temperature dependence of the anisotropies was followed down to 16 mK. Using the lattice site occupations known from mass separator implanted IFe sources a magnetic moment ¦¦=1.14±0.08 nm was derived for the 2 ground state of124I. This value can be understood if the three g7/2 protons above Z=50 are coupled to spin 9/2, and the odd neutron is in the h11/2 shell.Anisotropies of 18 transitions in124Te were determined, resulting in 5 new unique spin assignments; multipole mixing ratios were extracted. Of these (E2/M1;723)=–2.0±0.4 conflicts with the value adopted from angular correlation experiments. By comparison of () and NO anisotropies, a better choice between the solutions for (E2/M1;1489) could be made. Low temperature nuclear orientation experiments down to 2 mK on147GdFe,149GdFe,149GdGd and153GdGd have yielded the magnetic hyperfine interaction strength. Bhf as 31.0(1.6) NT, 28.3(2.0) NT, 33.8(4.7) NT and 13.3(2.1) NT respectively. From these values the respective ground state magnetic moments ¦¦ of147Gd,149Gd and159Gd were deduced as 1.12(20) N, 1.01(16) N and 0.40(8) N.  相似文献
