Fluorescence emission and excitation spectra of single MEH-PPV polymer molecules dispersed in thin PMMA films have been recorded at 1.2 and 20 K. We observe single as well as multichromophore emission in single chain emission spectra, whereby the relative fractions depend on the two different molecular weights (50 and 350 kDa) studied. The molecular weight also affects the distribution of peak emission maxima, which is monomodal (bimodal) for the low (high) molecular weight. The appearance of an additional "red" subpopulation for the high molecular weight sample is attributed to interactions of multiple chromophores from a sufficiently flexible single chain. The comparison of emission spectra appearing in the "blue" as well as "red" subpopulations suggests that these intrachain interactions rather lead to ground-state aggregates than excimers. Independent of the molecular weight, large variations in spectral shape and apparent line width in the emission spectra have been observed. Occasionally, we find very narrow purely electronic zero-phonon lines both in emission and in excitation spectra, with line widths down to the instrumental resolution. In accordance with earlier literature data it is argued that linear electron-phonon coupling should be quite strong for MEH-PPV in PMMA, leading to only a small fraction of chromophores exhibiting zero-phonon lines. In addition, spectral diffusion, which manifests itself by several time-dependent line shifting and broadening phenomena, contributes to the substantial variations of spectral shapes. Excitation experiments with particularly stable chromophores provide an upper limit for the optical line width (approximately 0.1 cm(-1)), which at 1.2 K can actually approach the lifetime-limited homogeneous width. Raising the temperature to 20 K leads to line broadening and typically, to disappearance of zero-phonon lines. The failure to observe zero-phonon lines of chromophores supposedly serving as donors in intramolecular energy transfer is tentatively attributed to fast transfer rates, resulting in strongly broadened lines which escape detection even at 1.2 K.  相似文献

The fluorescence spectra of the mixed crystal system naphthalene in perdeuteronaphthalene at concentrations between 0.1 and 50% have been measured with high spectral resolution. Up to 10% the spectra are superpositions of the spectra of monomers, pairs, trimers and some higher aggregates. The relative intensities of these individual aggregate spectra given evidence for trap to trap energy transfer without thermal excitation into the host exciton band. The monomers as the most abundant traps form a dilute exciton band 50 cm?1 below the host band. By thermal activation into this dilute band energy is transferred between the aggregate states. In the 50% crystal emission from a mixed guest-host exciton band without individual clusters is observed.  相似文献

We report on electronic and vibrational properties of the diradical short-chain reaction intermediates of the low-temperature polymerization reaction in diacetylene single crystals. The positions, shapes and intensities of the zero-phonon lines and of vibronic lines of the polarized optical absorption series are analyzed. Theoretical model calculations concerning the vibrational and excitonic states in the molecular aggregates are performed and applied to the experiments.  相似文献

The infrared spectra of phosphinic acid R2POOH dimers (R=CH3, CH2Cl, C6H5) have been studied in CCl4 and CH2Cl2 solutions (T=300 K). The infrared spectra of deuterated R2POOD dimers (R=CH3, CH2Cl) were also studied in the gas phase (T=400–550 K) and solid state (T=100–300 K). They are compared with previously studied spectra of the light (non-deuterated) dimers in the gas phase, in the solid state and in low-temperature argon matrices (T=12–30 K) in the 4000–400 cm−1 spectral region. It is found that the strong and broad ν(OH) dimer bands have similar shapes, nearly equal values of bandwidth and low-frequency shift, and possess the Hadzi ABC structure irrespective of the type of acid, significant differences of dimerization enthalpies, influence of solvent, the type of H-bonded complexes (cyclic dimers in the gas phase, in solutions, and in inert matrices, and infinite chains in the solid state), and temperature in the range 12–600 K. Isotopic ratio of the first moments of light and deuterated acid bands has been measured. Analysis of the ν(OH/OD) band of hydrogen bonded dimers of phosphinic acids shows that the interaction between the two intermolecular bonds O–HOP in a cyclic complex plays virtually no role in the mechanism of the ν(OH/OD) band formation; the shape of ν(OH/OD) band is controlled mainly by the POOH(D)O fragment; and the band shape of strong hydrogen bonded complexes is formed by a number of vibrational transitions from the ground state to different combination levels in the region 3500–1500 cm−1.  相似文献

Fluorescence-detected magnetic resonance of triplets in zero magnetic field (FDMR), fluorescence fading (FF) due to triplet-formation, both at 4.2 K, and prompt fluorescence decay kinetics (FDK) at room temperature have been measured for free pheophorbide- a (f-Pheo) and bound (b-Pheo) to a synthetic polypeptide (L-L ys -L-A la -L-A la )n, dissolved in dimethylformamide (DMF). Fluorescence decay kinetics measurements of f-Pheo in DMF yielded 1-5 ns lifetimes, for b-Pheo in DMF a ~ 50 ps decay-component was found emitting at 730–750 nm. Zero-field splitting parameters |D| and |E| of the lowest triplet state T1 were determined from FDMR spectra as (337 and 24) 10-4 cm-1 for f-Pheo and (359 and 25) 10-4 cm-1 for b-Pheo, both in DMF. Decay rate constants of the three spin levels of T1 of b-Pheo ( K x= 1200 50 s-1, k y= 440 25 s-1, k z= 80 5 s-1) and relative steady-state populations (Nx= 28 2%, Ny= 47 2%, Nz= 26 2%) determined from FF curves predict a fluorescence decrease at the D–E and D + E FDMR transitions, whereas experimentally a fluorescence increase is observed. The FDMR sign-inversion results from singlet-singlet energy transfer from b-Pheo monomers to their aggregates, followed by fast intersystem crossing to T1. These results indicate that aggregates are formed by two or more b-Pheo molecules at different positions on the folded polypeptide chain. This situation resembles that in chlorophyll-proteins, containing low-lying traps, resulting from interaction of chromophores with other chromophores and with the protein environment.  相似文献

The infrared spectra of 3-pentyn-2-ol, CH3CCCH(OH)CH3, have been recorded as a vapour and liquid at ambient temperature, as a solid at 78 K in the 4000–50 cm−1 range and isolated in an argon matrix at ca. 5 K. Infrared spectra of the solid phase at 78 K were obtained before and after annealing to temperatures of 120 and 130 K. The IR spectra of the solid were quite similar to that of the liquid.

Raman spectra of the liquid were recorded at room temperature and at various temperatures between 295 and 153 K. Spectra of an amorphous and annealed solid were recorded at 78 K. In the variable temperature Raman spectra, some bands changed in relative intensity and were interpreted in terms of conformational equilibria between the three possible conformers. Complete assignments were made for all the bands of the most stable conformer in which OH is oriented anti to C1(aMe). From various bands assigned to a second conformer in which OH is oriented anti to Hgem(aH), the conformational enthalpy differences was found to be between 0.4 and 0.8 kJ mol−1. The highest energy conformer with OH anti to C3(aC) was not detected.

Quantum-chemical calculations have been carried out at the MP2 and B3LYP levels with a variety of basis sets. Except for small basis set calculations for which the aH conformer had slightly lower energy, all the calculations revealed that aMe was the low energy conformer. The B3LYP/cc-pVTZ calculations suggested the aMe conformer as more stable by 0.8 and 8.3 kJ mol−1 relative to aH an aC, respectively. Vibrational wavenumbers and infrared and Raman band intensities for two of the three conformers are reported from B3LYP/cc-pVTZ calculations.  相似文献

用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)测定了纳米氧化锌试样的粒径, SEM结果表明ZnO试样平均粒径为30 nm. 在83~350 K温区, 用精密低温绝热量热计测定了ZnO的等压摩尔热容, 拟合出其等压摩尔热容与热力学温度的函数关系式: Cp=-3.249+0.2400T-3.413×10-4T 2+4.485×10-7T 3. 根据热容与热力学函数关系, 计算了以298.15 K为基准的纳米ZnO的热力学函数, 并与粗晶ZnO和18 nm ZnO热容文献报导值进行了比较, 从能量角度分析了不同粒径ZnO热容曲线差别产生的原因.  相似文献

The sharp-line absorption spectrum of cis-beta-[CrCl(2)(2,2,3-tet)]ClO(4) (2,2,3-tet: 1,4,7,11-tetraazaundecane) has been measured between 13,000 and 16,000 cm(-1) at 5K. The 77K emission, 298 K infrared and visible spectra have also been measured. The zero-phonon band in the highly resolved absorption spectrum splits into four components. The vibrational intervals of the electronic ground state were determined from the far-infrared and emission spectra. The 10 electronic bands due to spin-allowed and spin-forbidden transitions were assigned. Using the observed transitions, a ligand field analysis has been performed to probe the ligand field properties of coordinated atoms in the title chromium(III) complex. The X-ray crystal structure at low-temperature was determined to help in assigning the sharp-line electronic transitions.  相似文献

Fluorescence quantum yields, Y, front photoselected vibrational states in the S1 manifold of anthracene and of perdeuterated anthracene in planar supersonic jets reveal a large inverse deuterium isotope effect on the non-radiative relaxation from the S1 origin (YH/YD = 5), while for high (1500 cm−1) excess energies above the S1 origin the inverse isotope effect is eroded (YH/YD ≈ 1). Novel information emerges on intermediating states involved in intersystem crossing.  相似文献

A series of new alkene monomers [MS3BDBEn, n=1-3] containing 4-oligo (ethylene oxide) monomethyl ether 4-biphenyl ether carboxyl benzoate as terminal groups were synthesized. These polymers were prepared by grafting these monomers onto the poly (methylhydrosilox-ane) (PMHS) backbone. The transition temperatures, liquid crystalline textures, and thermal stability of the polysiloxane polymers have been determined by thermal data, by optical texture, and by X-ray diffraction patterns. Polymers PS3BDBEn showed smectic or smectic and nematic phases which were not analogous to their precursor nematic monomers. The terminal length of the polymers affects not only the mesophase transition temperatures but also the layer-spacing length (d1) and the side-chain distance (d2). The long- and short-range orders can remain to some extent above the isotropization temperature and below the melting point. The polymer PS3BDBE3 decomposed in air 20°C above the isotropization temperature and lost its short range orders as detected by the X-ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献

Low temperature phosphorescence spectra of pyrene-PMDA (pyromellitic acid dianhydride) imbedded in a naphthalene-PMDA host crystal are reported. The spectra exhibit resolved zero-phonon and multi-phonon structure which is significant since the phosphorescent state is characterized by ≈36% charge-transfer character. Several different phonons contribute to the structure with the dominant phonon having ground and excited state (from hot band analysis) frequencies of 25 and 15 cm?1. The linear electronphonon coupling strength for the 25cm?1 phonon is computed. This phonon is tentatively assigned to rotational motion of the rigid complex. Linewidth data yield a relaxation time of 0.4 ps at 2 K for the 25 cm?1 phonon which is believed to be a pseudolocalized or resonant mode.  相似文献

Infrared and Raman spectra of the BaF(HF2) crystal and its 10 and 50% deuterated derivatives at 300 and 90 K have been investigated in the 4000 to 20 cm−1 range. An assignment of internal and lattice vibrations has been proposed. Vibrational spectra are consistent with a centrosymmetric P21/m space group and Z=2. They show that the (FHF) ion is not centrosymmetrical, in spite of a short F…F distance; a force field calculation has been performed in order to determine the F---H and H…F distances, which are equal to 1.08 and 1.20 Å, respectively, in agreement with the 1H and 19F NMR data. The ν3(H)/ν3(D) isotope frequency ratio indicates a negative or zero isotope effect on the F…F distance, which is observed for the first time for a strong asymmetric hydrogen bond.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of N-[(dichlorophenyl)thio]-2,4,6-triarylphenylaminyl radical crystals are reported. The three stable thioaminyls show ferromagnetic behaviors described using the one-dimensional Heisenberg model with the large ferromagnetic interaction of 2J/kB = 28.0, 11.4, and 3.6 K. The other two radicals show the antiferromagnetic alternating chain behaviors with 2J/kB = −16.8 K, = 0.55 and 2J/kB = −128.8 K, = 0.90. The low-temperature susceptibility and heat capacity measurements of the crystal showing 2J/kB = 28.0 K reveal a magnetic phase transition at 0.4 K. The ordered phase shows spin-flop transition which reveals an antiferromagnetic long range order.  相似文献

We report a hot luminescence study of the vibrational relaxation in the S1 state of anthracene and perylene in various solid matrices at 4.2 K. A set of relaxational data is evaluated and presented. The need of an external thermal bath at the initial stage of relaxation of these molecules is discussed. Some problems of distinction of resonant secondary emission components are illustrated by the mixed crystal spectra. A novel approach to the separation of scattering and hot luminescence in strongly inhomogeneous spectra at resonant excitation is introduced.  相似文献

以碱金属和碱土金属为模板, 在溶剂热条件下合成了两种具有深紫外吸收特性的硼酸盐Na2Ba· [B5O8(OH)]2·2H2O(1)和KSr[B5O8(OH)2](2), 并利用单晶X射线衍射(SCXRD)、 粉末X射线衍射(PXRD)、 傅里叶变换红外(FTIR)光谱、 紫外-可见吸收光谱(UV-Vis)和热重分析(TG)等手段对化合物的结构和性能进行了研究. 结果表明, 化合物1可归属于单斜晶系P2/c空间群, 结构中四连接的B5O10(OH)簇单元通过共氧连接形成含有两种9-元环窗口的二维层; 化合物2结晶于单斜晶系C2/c空间群, 结构中四连接的B5O10(OH)2簇单元则通过共氧交替连接构筑了罕见的含有8-/12-元环孔道的二维褶皱层. 两种基于B5On(n=11, 12)簇单元构筑的化合物均具有低于200 nm的深紫外吸收边, 在紫外/深紫外区具有潜在的应用价值.  相似文献

The population relaxation of the OH-stretching vibration of HOD diluted in D2O is studied by time-resolved infrared (IR) pump-probe spectroscopy for temperatures of up to 700 K in the density range 12 1 OH stretching transition with a 200 fs laser pulse centered at approximately 3500 cm(-1). Above 400 K these spectra show no indication of spectral diffusion after pump-probe delays of 0.3 ps. Over nearly the entire density range and for sufficiently high temperatures (T > 360 K), the vibrational relaxation rate constant, kr, is strictly proportional to the dielectric constant, epsilon, of water. Together with existing molecular dynamics simulations, this result suggests a simple linear dependence of kr on the number of hydrogen-bonded D2O molecules. It is shown that, for a given temperature, an isolated binary collision model is able to adequately describe the density dependence of vibrational energy relaxation even in hydrogen-bonded fluids. However, dynamic hydrogen bond breakage and formation is a source of spectral diffusion and affects the nature of the measured kr. For sufficiently high temperatures when spectral diffusion is much faster than energy transfer, the experimentally observed decays correspond to ensemble averaged population relaxation rates. In contrast, when spectral diffusion and vibrational relaxation occur on similar time scales, as is the case for ambient conditions, deviations from the linear kr(epsilon) relation occur because the long time decay of the v = 1 population is biased to slower relaxing HOD molecules that are only weakly connected to the hydrogen bond network.  相似文献

The observation of the surface-enhanced vibrational Raman spectra of vapor-deposited C60 and C70 on rough silver films is reported. Both near-monolayer and multilayer films of pure C60 and of C60/C70 mixtures are studied. The films are obtained by evaporating fullerene samples at temperatures of 683–875 K in ultra-high vacuum. Mixed fullerene samples were greatly enriched in C70 by making use of the slightly different vapor pressures of the two major components at the low end of this temperature range. The spectra contain all the lines of the normal Raman spectra as well as several additional lines caused by a reduction in the stringency of the normal Raman selection rules. These results demonstrate the potential of this technique for detecting small quantities of fullerenes and obtaining their vibrational spectra.  相似文献

通过PVA(聚乙烯醇)包覆工艺利用固相法合成了镁离子掺杂的LiFePO4/C.材料的高温电导率特征曲线和电阻率与掺杂含量变化的曲线表明,材料中由于Mg离子的掺杂,使得其导电机制由n型半导体向p型半导体转换.在镁离子掺杂原子百分含量为0.3%(x)下,研究了材料的结晶性能随烧成温度的变化.973 K下合成材料具有良好的微观结构,材料的亚微米颗粒和PVA裂解产生的碳黑形成了粒径在10 μm左右的团簇体.在循环伏安特性曲线中,存在两个小的肩峰,表明在循环过程中,锂离子可以通过由掺杂产生的锂空位进行插入和脱出.材料在0.1 C的充放电速率下,首次充放电曲线具有平稳的电压平台和较大的充放电容量.当充放电速率为0.5 C时,材料仍然具有大于120 mA•h•g-1的充放电容量;经过100次循环后,基本上没有发现材料的循环容量衰减的情况.  相似文献

In these experiments, a few bilayers of D(2)O were vapor-deposited on a pure crystalline H(2)O ice film or an ice film doped with a small amount of HCl. Upon deposition, H/D isotopic exchange quickly converted the D(2)O layer into an HDO-rich mixture layer. Infrared absorption spectroscopy followed the changes of the HDO from the initial HDO mixture layer to HDO isolated in the H(2)O ice film. This was possible because isolated HDO in H(2)O ice has a unique, sharp peak in the O-D stretch region that can be distinguished from the broad peak due to the initial HDO mixture layer. The absorbance of isolated HDO displayed first-order kinetics and was attributed to diffusion of HDO from the HDO-rich mixture layer into the underlying H(2)O ice film. While negligible diffusion was observed for pure ice films and for ice films with HCl concentrations up to 1 x 10(-4) mole fraction, diffusion of HDO occurred for higher concentrations of (2-20) x 10(-4) mole fraction HCl with a concentration-independent rate constant. The diffusion under these conditions followed Arrhenius behavior for T = 135-145 K yielding E(a) = 25 +/- 5 kJ/mol. The mechanism for the HDO diffusion involves either (i) molecular self-diffusion or (ii) long-range H/D diffusion by a series of multiple proton hop and orientational turn steps. While these spectroscopic results compare favorably with recent studies of molecular self-diffusion in low-temperature ice films, the diffusion results from all the ice film studies at low temperatures (ca. T < 170 K) differ from earlier bulk ice studies at higher temperatures (ca. T > 220 K). A comparison and discussion of the various diffusion studies are included in this report.  相似文献

Physico-chemical properties of the binary system NaHSO4–KHSO4 were studied by calorimetry and conductivity. The enthalpy of mixing has been measured at 505 K in the full composition range and the phase diagram calculated. The phase diagram has also been constructed from phase transition temperatures obtained by conductivity for 10 different compositions and by differential thermal analysis. The phase diagram is of the simple eutectic type, where the eutectic is found to have the composition X(KHSO4) = 0.44 (melting point ≈ 406 K). The conductivities in the liquid region have been fitted to polynomials of the form κ(X) = A(X) + B(X)(T − Tm) + C(X)(T − Tm)2, where Tm is the intermediate temperature of the measured temperature range and X, the mole fraction of KHSO4. The possible role of this binary system as a catalyst solvent is also discussed.  相似文献
