Using the third law of thermodynamics, we found the enthalpy Δr H o(0) = 71 ± 7 of the reaction Eu+ + H2O ↔ EuOH+ + H and the binding energies D 0(Eu+-OH) = 423 ± 7 and D 0(Eu-OH) = 389 ± 11 (kJ/mol). To determine the latter, we additionally used the ionization potential I 0(EuOH) = 5.32 ± 0.08 eV found using the Stark intramolecular effect.  相似文献

The collision-induced dissociation (CID) mass spectra of protonated cocaine and protonated heroin have been measured using a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer at 50 eV ion/neutral collision energy for protonated molecules prepared by different protonating agents. The CID mass spectra of protonated cocaine using H+(H2O)n, H+(NH3)n and H+((CH3)2NH)n as protonating agents are essentially identical and it is concluded that, regardless of the initial site of protonation, the fragmentation reactions occurring on collisional activation are identical. By contrast, protonated heorin prepared with H+(H2O)n and H+(NH3)n as protonating agents show substantial differences. That formed by reaction of H+(H2O)n shows a much more abundant peak corresponding to loss of CH3CO2H. From a comparison with model compounds, and from a consideration of the three-dimensional structure of heroin, it is concluded that with H+(H2O)n as protonating agent significant protonation occurs at the acetate group attached to the alicyclic ring, leading to acetic acid loss on collisional activation, but that reaction of H+(NH3)n leads to protonation at the nitrogen function. The proton attached to nitrogen cannot interact with the acetate group and, consequently, the probability of loss of acetic acid on collislional activation is greatly reduced.  相似文献

The diaquahydrogenium hexachloroantimonates(V) H5O2+SbCl6-(I) and D5O2+SbCl6-(II) were prepared by the reaction of SbCl5 · 2H2O and SbCl5 · 2D2O with HCl or DCl respectively. The infrared spectra were assigned. In addition ab initio calculations were performed on the system H5O2+, for which frequencies and IR absorbances of three mutually perpendicular modes of the H-bonded proton and D-bonded deuteron were calculated.  相似文献

The processes of H3O+ production from alcohols (ethanol, 2‐propanol, 1‐propanol, 2‐butanol) and ethers (diethyl ether and ethyl methyl ether), and their deuterium‐substituted species, by intense laser fields (800 nm, 100 fs, ~1 × 1014 W/cm) were investigated through time‐of‐flight (TOF) mass spectrometry. H3O+ formation was observed for all these compounds except for ethyl methyl ether. From the analysis of TOF signals of H(3?n)DnO+ (n = 0, 1, 2, and 3) that have expanding tails with increasing flight time, it has been confirmed that the reaction proceeds through metastable dissociation from the intermediate species C2H(5?m)DmO+(m = 0–5). The common shape of the H(3?n)DnO+ signal profiles contains two major distributions in the time constant, i.e., fast and slow components of <50 ns and ~500 ns, respectively. The H(3?n)DnO+ branching ratio is interpreted to be the result of complete scrambling of four hydrogen atoms at the C? C site in C2H4‐OH+, and partial exchange (18–38%) of a hydrogen atom in the OH group with four other hydrogen atoms within 1 ns prior to H(3?n)DnO+ production. Ab initio calculations for the isomers and transition states of C2H5O+ were also performed, and the observed H(3?n)DnO+ production mechanism has been discussed. In addition, a stable isomer having a complex structure and two isomerization pathways were discovered to contribute to the H3O+ formation process. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Analytical gradients for Singer's basis of n‐electron multicenter explicitly correlated Gaussian functions are derived and implemented to variationally optimize the energy and wave function of molecular systems within the Born–Oppenheimer approximation. Wave functions are optimized with respect to (½n(n+1)+3n) nonlinear variational parameters and one linear coefficient per term in the basis set. Preliminary results for the ground states of H3+ and H3 suggest that the method can be more flexible and can achieve lower energies than previously reported calculations. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A series of novel cationic gemini surfactants, p-[C n H2n+1N+(CH3)2CH2CH(OH)CH2O]2C6H4·2Cl? [A(n = 12), B(n = 14) and C(n = 16)], containing a spacer group with two flexible and hydrophilic groups (2-hydroxy-1,3-propylene) on both sides of a rigid and hydrophobic group (1,4-dioxyphenylene) has been synthesized by the reaction of hydroquinone diglycidyl ether with N,N-dimethylalkylamine and N,N-dimethylalkylamine hydrochloride. Their surface-active properties have been investigated by surface tension measurement. The critical micelle concentration (cmc) values of the synthesized cationic gemini surfactants are one order of magnitude lower than those of their corresponding monomeric surfactants (C n H2n + 1N+(CH3)3·Cl?). Both the cmc and surface tension at the cmc (γcmc) of A are lower than those of p-[C12H25N+(CH3)2CH2]2C6H4·2Cl? (D). The novel cationic gemini surfactants A and B also show good foaming properties.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the removal of the vibrational energy of H2 by DCl in H2(1) + DCl(0) has been investigated over the range of 300–3000 K. The energy transfer probability of H2(1) + DCl(0) → H2(0) + DCl(1), where the vibrational energy of H2(1) is removed by both the vibrational and rotational motions of DCl(0), is found to be strongly temperature dependent and increases with temperature closely following the relation log P α T1/3. Over the temperature range it changes by two orders of magnitude. The probability of the near-resonant process H2 (1) + DCl(O) → H2(0) + DCl(2) is very close to that of the former at 300 K, but it increases only slightly as the temperature is raised to 3000 K. The sum of the probabilities of these two processes at 300 K is 3.4 × 10?5, which agrees with the experimental value of 3.95 × 10?5.  相似文献

The two complexes, [RE(Gly)4(Im)(H2O)](ClO4)3(s)(RE = Eu, Sm), have been synthesized and characterized. The standard molar enthalpies of reaction for the following reactions, RECl3·6H2O(s)+4Gly(s)+Im(s)+3NaClO4(s) = =[RE(Gly)4(Im)(H2O)](ClO4)3(s)+3NaCl(s)+5H2O(l), were determined by solution-reaction colorimetry. The standard molar enthalpies of formation of the two complexes at T = 298.15 K were derived as Δf H mΘ {Eu(Gly)4(Im)(H2O)}(ClO4)3(s)} = = −(3396.6±2.3) kJ mol−1 and Δf H mΘ {Sm(Gly)4(Im)(H2O)}(ClO4)3(s)} = −(3472.7±2.3) kJ mol−1, respectively.  相似文献

Ternary clusters (NH3)·(H2SO4)·(H2O)n have been widely studied. However, the structures and binding energies of relatively larger cluster (n > 6) remain unclear, which hinders the study of other interesting properties. Ternary clusters of (NH3)·(H2SO4)·(H2O)n, n = 0-14, were investigated using MD simulations and quantum chemical calculations. For n = 1, a proton was transferred from H2SO4 to NH3. For n = 10, both protons of H2SO4 were transferred to NH3 and H2O, respectively. The NH4+ and HSO4 formed a contact ion-pair [NH4+-HSO4] for n = 1-6 and a solvent separated ion-pair [NH4+-H2O-HSO4] for n = 7-9. Therefore, we observed two obvious transitions from neutral to single protonation (from H2SO4 to NH3) to double protonation (from H2SO4 to NH3 and H2O) with increasing n. In general, the structures with single protonation and solvated ion-pair were higher in entropy than those with double protonation and contact ion-pair of single protonation and were thus preferred at higher temperature. As a result, the inversion between single and double protonated clusters was postponed until n = 12 according to the average binding Gibbs free energy at the normal condition. These results can serve as a good start point for studies of the other properties of these clusters and as a model for the solvation of the [H2SO4-NH3] complex in bulk water.  相似文献

Summary Novel mixed-ligand cyanonitrosyl complexes of chromium(I), [Cr(NO)(CN)2(L)2(H2O)], (where L=2-, 3-, or 4-benzylpyridine, 2-(4-chlorobenzyl)pyridine, 2-, 3-, or 4-benzoylpyridine, 3-(4-methylbenzoyl)pyridine, or 2-, 3-, or 4-acetylpyridine) have been prepared by the interaction of potassium pentacyanonitrosylchromate(I) monohydrate, K3[Cr(NO)(CN)5]·H2O with L. The complexes, characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic measurements, e.s.r. and i.r. spectral studies, contain chromium(I) in a low-spind 5-configuration. An octahedral structure, where CN istrans to CN, L istrans to L, and NO istrans to water is proposed for all the complexesEnemark and Feltham(1) have proposed circumventing the problem of the non-innocent nature of the nitrosyl ligand by considering nitrosyls as containing the {MNO} n group, wheren is the number of electrons of M, plus the number of electrons in the *-orbital of the NO (or more convenientlyn is the number of d-electrons if nitrosyl is regarded as being coordinated as NO+)  相似文献

The reaction Pt5O2(ads)+H+(aq)+e→Pt5–OOH is analyzed on the basis of density functional theory calculations. It is found that the electron transfer process takes place gradually as the hydronium ion gets close to the adsorbed oxygen. At a certain small Oads–H⋯Owater distance, the barrier for proton and electron transfer becomes negligible. The effect of an electric field on the reaction is studied by charging the metal/adsorbate complex, and that of a solvation shell on the proton transfer process is explored by using the H3O+(H2O)2 ion cluster to model the hydrated proton.  相似文献

Summary From extraction experiments andg-activity measurements, the extraction constant corresponding to the 2Na+(aq)+SrL(nb)?2NaL+(nb)+Sr2+(aq) equilibrium taking place in the two-phase water-nitrobenzene system (L=benzo-15-crown-5; aq=aqueous phase, nb=nitrobenzene phase) was evaluated as log Kex(2Na+,SrL)=1.0±0.1. Further, the stability constant of the benzo-15-crown-5-sodium complex in nitrobenzene saturated with water was calculated for a temperature of 25 °C: log bnb(NaL+)=7.8±0.1.  相似文献

The product from reaction of lanthanum chloride heptahydrate with salicylic acid and thioproline, [La(Hsal)2•(tch)]•2H2O, was synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, molar conductance, thermogravimatric analysis and chemistry analysis. The standard molar enthalpies of solution of LaCl3•7H2O (s), [2C7H6O3 (s)], C4H7NO2S (s) and [La(Hsal)2•(tch)]•2H2O (s) in a mixed solvent of absolute ethyl alcohol, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and 3 mol•L-1 HCl were determined by calorimetry to be [LaCl3•7H2O (s), 298.15 K]=(-102.36±0.66) kJ•mol-1, [2C7H6O3 (s), 298.15 K]=(26.65±0.22) kJ•mol-1, [C4H7NO2S (s), 298.15 K]=(-21.79±0.35) kJ•mol-1 and {[La(Hsal)2•(tch)]•2H2O (s), 298.15 K}=(-41.10±0.32) kJ•mol-1. The enthalpy change of the reaction LaCl3•7H2O (s)+2C7H6O3 (s)+C4H7NO2S (s)=[La(Hsal)2•(tch)]•2H2O (s)+3HCl (g)+5H2O (l) (Eq. 1) was determined to be =(41.02±0.85) kJ•mol-1. From date in the literature, through Hess’ law, the standard molar enthalpy of formation of [La(Hsal)2•(tch)]•2H2O (s) was estimated to be {[La(Hsal)2•(tch)]•2H2O (s), 298.15 K}=(-3017.0±3.7) kJ•mol-1.  相似文献

The Crystal Structures of [Cu2Cl2(AA · H+)2](NO3)2 and [AA · H+]Picr? (AA · H+ = Allylammonium; Picr? = Picrat) By an alternating current electro synthesis the crystal-line π-complex [Cu2Cl2(AA · H+)2](NO3)2 has been obtained from CuCl2 · 2H2O, allylamine (AA), and HNO3 in ethanolic solution. X-ray structure analysis revealed that the compound crystallized in the monoclinic system, space group P21/a, a = 7.229(3), b = 7.824(3), c = 26.098(6) Å, γ = 94.46(5)°, Z = 4, R = 0.025 for 2 023 reflections. The crystal structure is built up of CunCln chains which are connected by π-bonding bidentate AA · H+ …? ON(O)O …? H+ · AA units. For comparision with the above complex the structure of [AA · H+]Picr? (Picr? = picrate anion) is also reported.  相似文献

[CnH2n?3]+ and [CnH2n?4]+·(n = 7, 8) ions have been generated in the mass spectrometer from CnH2n?3 Br (n = 7, 8) precursors and from two steroids. The relative abundances of competing ‘metastable transitionss’ indicate (partial) isomerization to a common structure (or mixture of structures) prior to decomposition in most examples of all four types of ions. In contrast, [C8H10O]+· and [C8H12O]+· ions, generated from different sources as molecular ions and by fragmentation of steroids, do not decompose through common-intermediates.  相似文献

Cluster ions from fast atom bombardment of liquid alcohols and nitriles were examined using a continuous-flow technique. Protonated molecular MnH+ species are the dominant cluster ions observed in molecules of formula M. The abundances of the MnH+ cluster ions decrease monotonically with increasing n, and within a homologous series the MnH+ abundance diminishes more rapidly for higher molecular mass compounds. Reaction products (ROH)n(H2O)H+ and (ROH)n(ROR)H+ are observed also in the case of alcohols, and the ion abundances decrease with increasing n. Radiation damage yields fragment ions and ionic alkyl reaction products which are captured in solvent clusters. Semi-empirical molecular orbital methods were used to examine the energetics of cluster ion formation and decomposition pathways. Metastable decomposition processes exhibit only evaporative loss of monomers, with the probability of loss increasing sharply with n. The evaporative ensemble model of Klots was used to predict the cluster size-dependent trends of metastable dissociation processes observed for alcohol and nitrile cluster ions.  相似文献

Electronically excited states of magnesium-water cluster ions, Mg+(H2O) n ,n=1–5, are studied by photodissociation after mass selection. The observed photodissociation spectra are assigned to the2P–2S type transitions localized on the Mg+ ion with the aid of ab initio CI calculations. In addition to evaporation of water molecules, photoinduced intracluster reaction to produce MgOH+(H2O) n is found to occur efficiently, with pronounced size dependence. The intriguing features observed in the mass spectrum of nascent cluster ions are discussed in relation to the stepwise solvation of this reaction.  相似文献
