Quantum entanglement in bipartite systems is approached with the help of pseudo Bell operators, a relaxed form of Bell operators. Their connection to optimal witness operators is established. A method to construct pseudo Bell operators for pairs of qudits, based on multiple two-dimensional local measuring settings, is presented. Each of them provide two optimal (multi-setting) witness operators. They are rigorously proved to fulfill the conditions in the definition. We explain how to approximate the set of separable states and the set of entangled states. A class of Werner-like entangled states is identified. The spectral resolution of all multi-setting pseudo Bell operators is carried out in full.  相似文献

We provide bounds on correlations of locally orthogonal observables in two-qubit separable states. These bounds strengthen the Bell inequality and improve upon some alternative entanglement criteria. They provide necessary and sufficient criteria for separability of pure states and test the correlations allowed by local hidden variable models against those allowed by separable quantum states.  相似文献

We study time dependence of exchange symmetry properties of Bell states when two-qubits interact with local baths having identical parameters. In case of classical noise, we consider a decoherence Hamiltonian which is invariant under swapping the first and second qubits. We find that as the system evolves in time, two of the three symmetric Bell states preserve their qubit exchange symmetry with unit probability, whereas the symmetry of the remaining state survives with a maximum probability of 0.5 at the asymptotic limit. Next, we examine the exchange symmetry properties of the same states under local, quantum mechanical noise which is modeled by two identical spin baths. Results turn out to be very similar to the classical case. We identify decoherence as the main mechanism leading to breaking of qubit exchange symmetry.  相似文献

The Lindblad generators of the master equation define which kind of decoherence happens in an open quantum system. We are working with a two qubit system and choose the generators to be projection operators on the eigenstates of the system and unitary bilocal rotations of them. The resulting decoherence modes are studied in detail. Besides the general solutions we investigate the special case of maximally entangled states—the Bell singlet states. The results are depicted in the so-called spin geometry picture which allows to illustrate the evolution of the (nonlocal) correlations stored in a certain state. The question for which conditions the path traced out in the geometric picture depends only on the relative angle between the bilocal rotations is addressed.  相似文献

Using NMR techniques, we implemented the simulation of the violations of two Bell-type inequalities: Mermin-Ardehali-Belinskii-Klyshko (MABK) inequality and Chen's inequality, for the 3-qubit generalized GHZ states. The experimental results are in good agreement with the quantum predictions and show that Chen's inequality is more efficient than MABK inequality in the case of the generalized GHZ entangled states.  相似文献

Taking the decoherence effect due to population relaxation into account, we investigate the entanglement properties for two qubits in the Heisenberg XY interaction and subject to an external magnetic field. It is found that the phenomenon of entanglement sudden death (ESD) as well as sudden birth (ESB) appear during the evolution process for particular initial states. The influence of the external magnetic field and the spin environment on ESD and ESB are addressed in detail. It is shown that the concurrence, a measure of entanglement, can be controlled by tuning the parameters of the spin chain, such as the anisotropic parameter, external magnetic field, and the coupling strength with their environment. In particular, we find that a critical anisotropy constant exists, above which ESB vanishes while ESD appears. It is also notable that stable entanglement, which is independent of different initial states of the qubits, occurs even in the presence of decoherence.  相似文献

We propose a physical realization of symmetric telecloning machine for spin quantum states. The concept of area average fidelity is introduced to describe the telecloning quality. It is indicated that for certain input states this quantity may come to an enough high level to satisfy the need of quantum information processing. We also study the properties of entanglement distribution via the spin chain for arbitrary two-qubit entangled pure states as inputs and find that the decay ratio of entanglement for the output states is only determined by the parameters of spin chain and waiting time, independent of the initial input states.  相似文献

We investigate the entanglement dynamics and decoherence of a three-qubit system under a quantum spin environment at a finite temperature in the thermodynamics limit. For the case under study, we find the evolution of pairwise entanglement depends not only on the initial states but also on the parameters related to the system and the spin environment. In addition, an undesirable entanglement sudden death occurs in the process of entanglement evolution, and this effect can be controlled by the coupling constant between two qubits, external magnetic field, and the interaction between the system and the environment.  相似文献

We investigate the entanglement dynamics and Bell violation of three-qubit quantum states under an environment consisting of an XY spin chain with Dzyaloshinski–Moriya (DM) interaction. From the results, we find that the entanglement dynamics depends not only on the DM interaction, the magnetic field, and the anisotropy parameter but also on the number of the freedom degrees of the environment. The decoherence-free subspaces of our model have been identified and the Bell violation of quantum states is also discussed.  相似文献

We consider a theoretical scheme for entanglement transfer between a two-mode squeezed vacuum field and two initially separable atoms through intensity-dependent couplings. We find that the entanglement transfer between the field and the atoms has an exact period for any given squeezing. We also find that the maximum achievable entanglement of the atomic subsystem is a simple increasing function of r.For sufficiently large squeezing parameter r, it is possible for the atoms to be entangled into a Bell state at half the periodic time points.  相似文献

We numerically demonstrate that 'mode-entangled states' based on the transverse modes of classical optical fields in multimode waveguides violate Bell's inequality. Numerically simulating the correlation measurement scheme of Bell's inequality, we obtain the normalized correlation functions of the intensity fluctuations for the two entangled classical fields. By using the correlation functions, the maximum violations of Bell's inequality are obtained. This implies that the two classical fields in the mode-entangled states, although spatially separated, present a nonlocal correlation.  相似文献

We investigate the concurrence and Bell violation of the standard Werner state or Werner-like states in the presence of collective dephasing. It is shown that the standard Werner state and certain kinds of Werner-like states are robust against the collective dephasing, and some kinds of Werner-like states is fragile and becomes completely disentangled in a finite-time. The threshold time of complete disentanglement of the fragile Werner-like states is given. The influence of external driving field on the finite-time disentanglement of the standard Werner state or Werner-like states is discussed. Furthermore, we present a simple method to control the stationary state entanglement and Bell violation of two qubits. Finally, we show that the theoretical calculations of fidelity based on the initial Werner state assumption well agree with previous experimental results.  相似文献

Enlightened by the work of Yeo and Chua [Phys. Rev. Lett. 96 (2006) 060502] for teleportation and dense coding with genuine multipartite entanglement, we present an explicit protocol for faithful remote state preparation in a real coefficient case by using the same four-particle entangled state which is not reducible to pair of Bell states. It is shown that any complex coefficient case can be changed to a real coefficient case. With this protocol, the state can play an analogous role to Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pairs in the theory of multipartite entanglement.  相似文献

A protocol for quantum key distribution by comparing Bell states [G. Gao, Opt. Commun. 281 (2008) 876] is recently proposed by Gan Gao. Gan Gao claimed that his protocol has the advantage of high total efficiency and its total efficiency is 50%. In this paper, by giving a little modification to the original one, we introduce an improved version of Gao’s protocol, which can make the total efficiency of the communication come up to 100%.  相似文献

We study the time evolution of two electron spin states in a double quantum-dot system, which includes a nearby quantum point contact (QPC) as a measurement device. We find that the QPC measurement induced decoherence is in the microsecond timescale. We also find that the enhanced QPC measurement will trap the system in its initial spin states, which is consistent with the quantum Zeno effect.  相似文献

We study quantum communication through an anisotropic Heisenberg XY chain in a transverse magnetic field. We find that for some time t and anisotropy parameter γ, one can transfer a state with a relatively high fidelity. In the strong-field regime, the anisotropy does not significantly affect the fidelity while in the weak-field regime the affect is quite pronounced. The most interesting case is the intermediate regime where the oscillation of the fidelity with time is low and the high-fidelity peaks are relatively broad. This would, in principle, allow for quantum communication in realistic circumstances. Moreover, we calculate the purity, or tangle, as a measure of the entanglement between one spin and all the other spins in the chain and find that the stronger the anisotropy and exchange interaction, the more entanglement will be generated for a given time.  相似文献

The tripartite nonlocality is measured by the extent of violation of multipartite Bell inequality in Tavis-Cummings model with cavity loss. The effect of Bell-nonlocality sudden death is demonstrated. The effect of Dzialoshiski-Moriya (DM) interaction on the violation of Bell inequality for thermal states of interacting qubits via a two-qubit XXZ spin chain is investigated.Our results imply that the DM interaction and anisotropy taking a large positive value can enhance the Bell violation and improve the threshold temperatures of it.By the comparison between the Bell violation and thermal entanglement,we find that the threshold temperatures of thermal entanglement are higher than those of the Bell violation.This implies that some states are entangled but the Bell inequality is not violated.  相似文献

Stochastic and bistochastic matrices providing positive maps for spin states (for qudits) are shown to form semigroups with dense intersection with the Lie groups IGL(n,R) and GL(n,R) respectively. The density matrix of a qudit state is shown to be described by a spin tomogram determined by an orbit of the bistochastic semigroup acting on a simplex. A class of positive maps acting transitively on quantum states is introduced by relating stochastic and quantum stochastic maps in the tomographic setting. Finally, the entangled states of two qubits and Bell inequalities are given in the framework of the tomographic probability representation using the stochastic semigroup properties.  相似文献
