The magnetic and electrical properties of nonmagnetic Ga +3 ion substitution for Mn site are investigated in the bilayer manganite La 1.2 Sr 1.8 Mn 2 O 7.When the Mn is substituted by Ga,the ferromagnetic property obviously weakens,the magnetic transition temperature decreases and a spin-glass behaviour occurs at low temperature.Meanwhile,doping causes the resistivity to dramatically increase,the metal-insulator transition temperature to disappear,and a greater magneto-resistance effect to occur at low temperature.These effects result from the fact that Ga substitution dilutes the magnetic active Mn-O-Mn network and weakens the double exchange interaction,and further suppresses ferromagnetic ordering and metallic conduction.  相似文献

In order to check whether superconductivity occurs in the acceptor doped fullerenes C60(MF6)2 (M=As, P, Sb) and to study their magnetic and structural properties, we have carried out magnetic, EPR and NMR measurements of these compounds. Temperature dependences of magnetic susceptibility down to 5 K and field dependences of magnetic moment at 5 K show no ‘bulk’ transition in superconducting state. Some reasons of the absence of superconductivity, such as insufficient charge transfer between C60 and intercalated species and inhomogeneity of the compounds under study, are discussed.  相似文献

X-ray powder diffraction,resistivity and magnetization studies have been performed on polycrystalline Nd(FexMn1-x)2Si2 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) compounds which crystallize in a ThCr2Si2-type structure with the space group I4/mmm.The field-cooled temperature dependence of the magnetization curves shows that,at low temperatures,NdFe2Si2 is antiferromagnetic,while the other compounds show ferromagnetic behaviour.The substitution of Fe for Mn leads to a decrease in lattice parameters a,c and unit-cell volume V .The Curie temperature of the compounds first increases,reaches a maximum around x = 0.7,then decreases with Fe content.However,the saturation magnetization decreases monotonically with increasing Fe content.This Fe concentration dependent magnetization of Nd(FexMn1-x)2Si2 compounds can be well explained by taking into account the complex effect on magnetic properties due to the substitution of Mn by Fe.The temperature’s square dependence on electrical resistivity indicates that the curve of Nd(Fe0.6Mn0.4)2Si2 has a quasi-linear character above its Curie temperature,which is typical of simple metals.  相似文献

The low-Mn-intercalated compounds 2H-MnxTaS2 (x≤0.1) single crystals were successfully grown via the iodine chemical vapor transport technique; the electrical and magnetic properties have been investigated systematically. No signs of charge density wave and superconductivity transitions appear down to 2 K even when x=0.02, while a small resistivity upturn has been observed in the low-temperature region for MnxTaS2 samples. A substantial magnetocrystalline anisotropy is observed and the Mn magnetic moments lie mainly parallel to the ab-plane. The glass behavior was observed in the low-temperature region firstly from the ac susceptibility measurement, the freezing of the glass may contribute to the upturn of the resistivity.  相似文献

The effect of Ba(La)TiO3 doping on the structure and magnetotransport properties of La2/3Sr1/3MnO3(LSMO)/xBa(La)TiO3 (x=0.0, 1.0, 5.0 mol%) have been investigated. The X-ray diffraction patterns and microstructural analysis show that BaTiO3 and LSMO phases exist independently in BaTiO3-doped composites. The metal-insulator transition temperature (TMI) decreases whereas the maximum resistivity increases very quickly by the increase of BaTiO3 doping level. The partial substitution of Ba by La(0.35 mol%) results in a decrease in resistivity of LSMO/xBa(La)TiO3 composites. Magnetoresistance of BaTiO3-doped composites decreases monotonously in the temperature range 200-400 K in a magnetic field of 5 T, which is completely different from that of LSMO compound. The value of MR decreases at low field (H<1 T) and increases at high fields (H>1 T) with increasing the BaTiO3 doping level at low temperatures below 280 K. These investigations reveal that the magnetotransport properties of LSMO/xBa(La)TiO3 composites are dominated by spin-dependent scattering and tunneling effect at the LSMO/BaTiO3/LSMO magnetic tunnel junction.  相似文献

本文报道了对GdBa2Cu3O7-δ单晶正常态电阻率、超导临界温变,以及磁转变的各向异性观测结果,发现ab平面上及c轴方向的电阻率,除Tc附近由于超导涨落引起的明显偏离以外,在正常态都能很好地满足Anderson-Zou关系:ρ=A/T+BT,但两方向的A,B存在显著差异说明其输运电荷是由不同机制产生,它具有显著的二维特征;沿c轴方向的超导电性比沿ab平面的超导电性要弱,Tce⊥比Tce∥低2K;H∥ab平面时的交流屏蔽效应仅是H⊥ab平面时的76%。 关键词:  相似文献

The effect of Co, Ni and Zn substitutions for Cu on the phase stability and superconducting properties of (Hg0.7Cr0.3)Sr2CuO4+δ was investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed that both Co and Zn are soluble in the (Hg0.7Cr0.3)Sr2CuO4+δ material up to about 5% of the Cu content, whereas the solubility of Ni is extended up to 10%. Electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements show that the value of the superconducting critical temperature Tc decreases linearly with the impurity content. The depression of Tc indicates that the suppression of the superconductivity in Co- and Ni-substituted samples is much stronger than that in Zn-substituted ones. The residual resistivity scales linearly with the doping level as expected from the impurity scattering due to disorder. Some possible explanations for the stronger suppression of Tc by the Co and Ni substitution than by Zn substitution are provided.  相似文献

研究了钙钛矿型锰氧化物La2/3Ca1/3Mn1-xTixO3(0≤x≤0.3)的结构、磁性和输运性质.发现Ti替代Mn强烈地抑制了La2/3Ca1/3MnO3的铁磁性和金属电导,并很大地提高了磁电阻值.在低掺杂情况下(x≤0.04),1%的Mn被Ti替代,居里温度TC和金属-绝缘体转变温度Tp分别平均下降了31和26.5K.当x=0.06时,铁磁态过渡为团簇玻璃态,并在x=0.20时完全变为自旋玻璃态.指出由于Ti的掺入而引起的磁稀释作用以及局域晶格畸变是产生上述结果的主要原因. 关键词:  相似文献

The Hall resistivity and magnetization have been investigated in the ferromagnetic state of the bilayered manganite La2−2xSr1+2xMn2O7 (x=0.36). The Hall resistivity shows an increase in both the ordinary and anomalous Hall coefficients at low temperatures below 50 K, a region in which experimental evidence for the spin glass state has been found in a low magnetic field of 1 mT. The origin of the anomalous behavior of the Hall resistivity relevant to magnetic states may lie in the intrinsic microscopic inhomogeneity in a quasi-two-dimensional electron system.  相似文献

Modifying the proportion of the base composition by substituting with suitable dopants and improving the preparation conditions is expected to change the performance of ferrites. In the present study, MgxMn1−xFe2O4 series of ferrites were prepared by, the conventional ceramic technique and the hot-pressed ceramic technique. Hot pressing of Mg–Mn ferrites results in an improvement of their magnetic and micro-structural properties as it controls simultaneously grain growth and porosity. Hot pressing of the Mg–Mn ferrites, however, results in a deterioration of their DC resistivity. The cation distribution has been studied by X-ray analysis and magnetisation. The variation of the saturation magnetisation and Curie temperature with increasing concentration of the Mg2+ ions can be explained on the basis of cation distribution and Neel's two sub-lattice models. The observed Mössbauer spectra show two hyperfine split sextets with an absence of magnetic relaxation indicating an absence of domain wall oscillations. The variations of the internal magnetic field have been qualitatively explained by taking into account, the predominant super-transferred hyperfine interactions (STHI).  相似文献

Magnetic susceptibility, heat capacity and electrical resistivity measurements have been carried out on a new ruthenate, La2RuO5 (monoclinic, space group P21/c) which reveal that this compound is a magnetic semiconductor with a high magnetic ordering temperature of 170 K. The entropy associated with the magnetic transition is 8.3 J/mol K close to that expected for the low spin (S=1) state of Ru4+ ions. The low temperatures specific heat coefficient γ is found to be nearly zero consistent with the semiconducting nature of the compound. The magnetic ordering temperature of La2RuO5 is comparable to the highest known Curie temperature of another ruthenate, namely, metallic SrRuO3, and in both these compounds the nominal charge state of Ru is 4+.  相似文献

We have investigated the magnetic and transport properties of a new ternary intermetallic compound Pr2Pd3Si5 which forms in U2Co3Si5-type orthorhombic structure (space group Ibam). At low field (0.01 T) magnetic susceptibility exhibits an abrupt increase below 7 K and peaks at 5 K, revealing a magnetic phase transition. The onset of magnetic order is also confirmed by well defined anomalies in the specific heat and electrical resistivity data. Apart from the sharp λ-type anomaly, magnetic part of specific heat also shows a broad Schottky-type hump due to crystal field effect. Magnetoresistance data as a function of temperature exhibits a pronounced peak in paramagnetic state which could be interpreted in terms of crystal field effect and short-range ferromagnetic correlations.  相似文献

Polycrystalline samples of electron-doped Pr1.85Ce0.15CuO4+δ have been prepared under different annealing conditions and investigated by means of X-ray-diffraction, oxygen content analysis, electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility and low temperature specific heat measurements. X-ray-diffraction patterns show that samples contain a single T′ phase. The superconducting transition temperatures Tcm taken with the onset of diamagnetism in magnetic-susceptibility measurements are 20 and 19.5 K for sample annealed in flowing Ar gas and in vacuum (∼10−3 torr), respectively. The data of the samples, which are annealed in flowing Ar gas, show clear evidence for an αT2 term at zero magnetic field in superconducting electronic specific heat, and are consistent with d-wave superconductivity. However, this behavior is not observed in the other sample, which is annealed in vacuum. These results indicate that different heat treatments affect the oxygen content, homogeneity, superconducting transition temperature Tc, superconducting volume fraction, and the superconducting pairing symmetry of Pr1.85Ce0.15CuO4+δ.  相似文献

We report measurements of the temperature and pressure dependence of the electrical resistivity (ρ) of single-crystalline iron-based chalcogenide Cs0.8Fe2Se2. In this material, superconductivity with a transition temperature develops from a normal state with extremely large resistivity. At ambient pressure, a large “hump” in the resistivity is observed around 200 K. Under pressure, the resistivity decreases by two orders of magnitude, concomitant with a sudden Tc suppression around . Even at 9 GPa a metallic resistivity state is not recovered, and the ρ(T) “hump” is still detected. A comparison of the data measured upon increasing and decreasing the external pressure leads us to suggest that the superconductivity is not related to this hump.  相似文献

La0.7Sr0.3Mn1−xCoxO3 (x=0, 0.05, 0.1) nanoparticles, prepared by sol-gel method, were studied by means of X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, resistivity, magnetoresistance, thermal expansion and magnetostriction measurements. Results show that partial substitution of Mn by Co leads to a reduction in lattice parameters, enhancement of resistivity and room temperature magnetoresistance MR, decrease of metal-insulator transition temperature TMI and TC, an increase in thermal expansion coefficient, volume magnetostriction and anisotropic magnetostriction. The latter increases about one order of magnitude with 10% Co substitution. In comparison with Mn ions, the Co ions possess higher anisotropy energy, larger magnetostriction effect, smaller ionic size and spin state transitions with increase in temperature and magnetic field; this suggests that Co substitution leads to double-exchange interaction weakening, resulting in suppression of ferromagnetic long-range order and metallic state and increase of magnetic anisotropy. Furthermore, our samples have a relatively lower TMI and TC, higher resistivity and MR, compared with the reported values for similar compounds with larger particle sizes. This is attributed to the nanometric grain size and spin-polarized tunneling between neighboring grains.  相似文献

We have synthesized underdoped NdBa2Cu3O7−y (NBCO) and NdBa2Cu3−xMnxO7−y (x = 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3) samples. The analysis of the lattice parameters has been done by using the X-ray diffraction (XRD) method. Using the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) the granular nature as well as the intergranular networks has been studied. The Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) and Rutherford Backscattering Spectroscopy (RBS) studies confirm the substitution of Mn in the Cu-sites. The transport measurements in several undoped and Mn-substituted NBCO samples have been carried out. We have observed an indication of the metal to insulator transition as a result of the strong charge localization induced by Mn substitution. The applicability of various conductivity equations has been verified for comparison. Estimations of the activation energy and localization length have been carried out and discussed.  相似文献

We have observed superconductivity in the two-phase samples with nominal compositions (Y 1−xThx)NiC2 (x=0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5). As determined by magnetic, electrical and heat capacity measurements, the superconductivity phase transition temperature Tc increases with Th concentration to . Powder X-ray diffraction data provide the evidence for bulk superconductivity in an orthorhombic CeNiC2-type majority fraction of the sample volume while the minor impurity phase ThC2 has no effect on the superconductivity. The variation of room temperature lattice parameters, a, b, c and v of these substitutional intermetallic samples indicates the systematic substitution of Y 3+ ions by Th4+ ions irrespective of the existence of the 2nd impurity phase.  相似文献

Samples with nominal composition MoSr2HoCu2O8−δ were synthesized and their magnetic and superconducting (SC) properties were investigated. The obtained samples are Mo-deficient. It was established that the magnetic order is of a long-range type. The coincidence of the experimental value of the Curie constant and the theoretical one of MoSr2HoCu2O8−δ shows that the observed magnetic properties of the samples are determined by the highly dominating phase Mo-1212. The two-step resistive SC transition, together with the absence of both diamagnetism and a peak in the specific heat between the two critical temperatures may be associated with the presence of a granular superconductivity. The effect of the Mo-deficiency on the magnetic and SC properties of MoSr2HoCu2O8−δ was discussed.  相似文献
