This paper applies the minimum variance V1 criterion to
monitor the evolution of signal and idler modes of a composite
non-degenerate optical parametric amplification (NOPA) system. The analytics
and numerical calculation show the influence of the transition time,
the vacuum fluctuations, and the thermal noise level on the EPR
entanglement of the composite NOPA system. It finds that the
entanglement and the squeezing degrade as the minimum variance V1

This paper introduces the mid-span spectral inversion by four-wave
mixing in a commercially available semiconductor optical amplifier
(SOA) with a length of about 1.5~mm to optical label switching
network based on combined frequency shift keying (FSK)-intensiy
modulation (IM)/optical label-packet modulation to overcome the
dispersion limitation of fiber. The 155~Mb/s--10~Gb/s combined
FSK/IM signal is experimentally transmitted over a 100~km standard
single mode fiber. 10-10 and 109 BER (bit error ratio),
or even better, is achieved for the FSK label and IM packet, respectively.
The -19~dB power conversion efficiency is obtained for -1~nm

Usually the quantum fluctuation characteristic of the non-degenerate optical parametric amplifier is analysed under the assumption of monochromatic pumping. However, in experiments, the driving beam with finite bandwidth is used to obtain the non-degenerate signal and idler beam amplifications. On account of that, we derive an analytical solution for the non-degenerate optical parametric amplification system with finite bandwidth laser pumping, and evaluate the associated quantum fluctuation. equation of non-degenerate optical parametric amplification is
used to deduce the condition demonstrating the
Einstein--Podolsky--Rosen (EPR) paradox. The analytics and
numerical calculation show the influence of pump depletion on
the error in the measurement of continuous variables. The
optimum realization of EPR paradox can be achieved by adjusting
the parameter of squeezing. This result is of practical
importance when the realistic experimental conditions are taken

A scheme to generate entanglement in a cavity optomechanical system filled with an optical parametric amplifier is proposed. With the help of the optical parametric amplifier, the stationary macroscopic entanglement between the movable mirror and the cavity field can be notably enhanced, and the entanglement increases when the parametric gain increases.Moreover, for a given parametric gain, the degree of entanglement of the cavity optomechanical system increases with increasing input laser power. 相似文献

Three-colour continuous-variable (CV) entanglement can be directly generated by an injection-seeded nondegenerate optical parametric oscillator (INOPO). The quantum correlations among the pump, signal, and idler beams are calculated and discussed by applying sufficient inseparability criteria for CV entanglement. The results clearly show that strong three-colour CV entanglement can be produced by operating the pump above the oscillation threshold. The INOPO is easier to realize experimentally and more steady in comparison to that without an injected signal since the injected signal can increase the nonlinear conversion efficiency and the stability, as well as allow a large degree of tunability. This scheme can be very useful for the applications in quantum communication and computation networks. 相似文献
