Call a semigroup S left unipotent if eachℒ-class of S contains exactly one idempotent. A structure theorem for bisimple left unipotent semigroups is given which reduces
to that of N. R. Reilly [8] for bisimple inverse semigroups. A structure theorem, alternative to one given by R. J. Warne
[13], is given for the case when the band ES of idempotents of S is an ω-chain of right zero semigroups, and two applications of it are made.

Weakly simplistic orthodox transversals are introduced in this paper and some characterizations associated with them are obtained. An example is given to demonstrate that weakly simplistic orthodox transversals are proper generalisations of left simplistic orthodox transversals. The related results of Blyth and Almeida Santos on left simplistic inverse transversals obtained in 1996 and Kong and Luo on left simplistic orthodox transversals obtained in 2011 are generalised and amplified. A structure theorem of regular semigroups with weakly simplistic orthodox transversals is also established. 相似文献

[xyx=yx]. Bisimple left [right] inverse semigroups have been studied by Venkatesan [6]. In this paper, we clarify the structure
of general left [right] inverse semigroups. Further, we also investigate the structure of orthodox semigroups whose idempotents
satisfy the identity xyxzx=xyzx. In particular, it is shown that the set of idempotents of an orthodox semigroup S satisfies

A semigroup is tight if each of its congruences is uniquely determined by each
of the congruence classes. Bisimple inverse semigroups are tight, and tight
semigroups are either simple or congruence-free with zero. Although congruence-free
semigroups are tight, they are not necessarily bisimple. We construct
tight inverse semigroups and tight inverse monoids that are neither bisimple

If all the Siμ are bisimple regular semigroups, then S is a bisimple regular semigroup. We study a class of special strongly rpp semigroups, namely, the class of super rpp semigroups. These super rpp semigroups
are generalizations of both superabundant semigroups and Clifford semigroups within the class of rpp semigroups. In particular,
we prove that a super rpp semigroup is a semilattice of D
(l)-simple strongly rpp semigroups. Our result not only generalizes a well-known theorem of Clifford in the class of completely
regular semigroups but also strengthens some structure theorems obtained by Ren-Shum for superabundant semigroups which are

The investigation of U-ample ω-semigroups is initiated. After obtaining some properties of such semigroups, a structure of U-ample ω-semigroups is established. It is proved that a semigroup is a U-ample ω-semigroup if and only if it can be expressed by WBR(T, 0), namely, the weakly Bruck-Reilly extensions of a monoid T. This result not only extends and amplifies the structure theorem of bisimple inverse ω-semigroups given by N. R. Reilly, but also generalizes the structure theorem of ,-bisimple type A ω-semigroups given by U. Asibong-Ibe in 1985. 相似文献

Uniform semilattices can be characterized as the semilattices of bisimple inverse semigroups [4,5]. This motivates the study
of such semilattices. In particular, we may consider ways of forming uniform semilattices by combining together known ones.
In this paper, we give a construction which, given two suitable semilattices, produces another semilattice, their so-called
link product. The construction may be used to obtain uniform semilattices and, in particular, yields a family of pairwise
non-isomorphic uniform semilattices M(r), indexed by the non-negative integer r.
It is our intention to discuss in a further paper the structure of bisimple inverse semigroups with semilattice isomorphic

本文在正则半群上引入弱中间幂等元和拟中间幂等元,着重探讨了这两类幂等元的性质特征.构造了若干具有弱(拟)中间幂等元的正则半群,确定了弱中间幂等元和拟中间幂等元之间的关系,给出了弱中间幂等元和拟中间幂等元各自的等价判定,利用拟中间幂等元刻画了纯正半群.最后,得到了构造具有拟中间幂等元的正则半群的一般途径,并在此基础上进一步给出了判定正则半群是否具有乘逆断面的方法. 相似文献
