Boundary behaviour of invariant functions on planar domains

Precise behaviour of the Carathéodory, Kobayashi and Bergman metrics and distances near smooth boundary points of planar domains is found under various assumptions of regularity.     

On the Bergman metric of pseudoconvex domains in a complex projective space

We prove a localization principle of the Bergman kernel form and metric for pseudoconvex domains in the complex projective space. An estimate of the Bergman distance is also given.

     

The eigen functions of the complex projective space

In the complexn-dimensional projective spaceCP ⁿ , let λ _p (=4p(p+n)) be the eigen value of the Laplace-Beltrami operator andH _p be the space of all eigen functions of eigen value λ _p . The reproducing kernelh _p (z, w) ofH _p is constructed explicitly in this paper, and a system of complete orthogohal functions ofH _p is constructed fromh _p (z,w)(p=1,2, …). Vafa-Witten bound on the complex projective space

We prove that the largest first eigenvalue of the Dirac operator among all Hermitian metrics on the complex projective space of odd dimension m, larger than the Fubini-Study metric is bounded by (2m(m+1))^1/2. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000): 53C27, 58J50, 58J60.     

Real hypersurfaces in complex projective space with recurrent structure Jacobi operator

We classify real hypersurfaces of complex projective space , m3, with -recurrent structure Jacobi operator and apply this result to prove the non-existence of such hypersurfaces with recurrent structure Jacobi operator.     

A Cubic Decomposition of Sequences of Orthogonal Polynomials on the Unit Circle

In this paper we will discuss the problem of generation of sequences of orthogonal polynomials with respect to measures supported on the unit circle from a given sequence of orthogonal polynomials using a perturbation of a cubic sieved process. The basic tools are the Szeg? forward recurrence relation as well as the fact of the coprimality of orthogonal polynomials on the unit circle and their corresponding reverse polynomials. We also give the connection between the associated orthogonality measures. Finally, some examples of this cubic decomposition are shown.     

A Banach space with a countable infinite number of complex structures

We give examples of real Banach spaces with exactly infinite countably many complex structures and with _ω1${\omega }_1$ many complex structures.     

Estimates of the Carathéodory metric on the symmetrized polydisc

Estimates for the Carathéodory metric on the symmetrized polydisc are obtained. It is also shown that the Carathéodory and Kobayashi distances of the symmetrized three-disc do not coincide.     

Convex structures induced by Chebyshev systems

Recent developments have clarified that some tools of Convex Geometry are closely related to separation theorems obtained in the field of Functional Inequalities. This phenomenon has motivated the investigation of convex structures induced by Chebyshev systems. The present note characterizes such a possible structure, completely describing its combinatorial invariants.     

The Magic Functions and Automorphisms of a Domain

We introduce the notion of magic functions of a general domain in and show that the set of magic functions of a given domain is an intrinsic complex-geometric object. We determine the set of magic functions of the symmetrised bidisc G and thereby find all automorphisms of G and a formula for the Carathéodory distance on G. Submitted: August 31, 2007. Existence of global invariant jet differentials on projective hypersurfaces of high degree

Let be a smooth complex projective hypersurface. In this paper we show that, if the degree of X is large enough, then there exist global sections of the bundle of invariant jet differentials of order n on X, vanishing on an ample divisor. We also prove a logarithmic version, effective in low dimension, for the log-pair , where D is a smooth irreducible divisor of high degree. Moreover, these result are sharp, i.e. one cannot have such jet differentials of order less than n.     

Classification of smooth structures on a homotopy complex projective space

We classify, up to diffeomorphism, all closed smooth manifolds homeomorphic to the complex projective n-space \(\mathbb {C}\textbf {P}^{n}\), where n=3 and 4. Let M²ⁿ be a closed smooth 2n-manifold homotopy equivalent to \(\mathbb {C}\textbf {P}^{n}\). We show that, up to diffeomorphism, M⁶ has a unique differentiable structure and M⁸ has at most two distinct differentiable structures. We also show that, up to concordance, there exist at least two distinct differentiable structures on a finite sheeted cover N²ⁿ of \(\mathbb {C}\textbf {P}^{n}\) for n=4,7 or 8 and six distinct differentiable structures on N¹⁰.     

Some remarks on pseudo-umbilical totally real submanifolds in a complex projective space

This paper studies the relationship between the pseudo-umbilical totally real submanifolds and the minimal totally real submanifolds in a complex projective space. Two theo- rems which claim that some types of pseudo-umbilical totally real submanifolds must be minimal submanifolds are proved.     

第三类超Cartan域上的比较定理

本文给出了第三类超Cartan域上不变Kalher度量下的全纯截曲率的表达式.利用其Bergman度量的完备性,构造了一个不比Bergman度量小的完备的不变Kalher度量,证明了在此Kalher度量下的全纯截曲率有一个负上界,从而证明了第三类超Cartan域的Bergman度量与Kobayashi度量的比较定理.
