The non-commutative torus C *(n,) is realized as the C*-algebra of sections of a locally trivial C*-algebra bundle over S with fibres isomorphic to C *n/S, 1) for a totally skew multiplier 1 on n/S. D. Poguntke [9] proved that A is stably isomorphic to C(S) C(*( Zn/S, 1) C(S) A Mkl( C) for a simple non-commutative torus A and an integer kl. It is well-known that a stable isomorphism of two separable C*-algebras is equivalent to the existence of equivalence bimodule between them. We construct an A-C(S) A-equivalence bimodule.  相似文献

We consider the approximation by piecewise-constant functions for classes of functions of many variables defined by moduli of continuity of the form (1, ..., n ) = 1(1) + ... + n ( n ), where i ( i ) are ordinary moduli of continuity that depend on one variable. In the case where i ( i ) are convex upward, we obtain exact error estimates in the following cases: (i) in the integral metric L 2 for (1, ..., n ) = 1(1) + ... + n ( n ); (ii) in the integral metric L p (p 1) for (1, ..., n ) = c 11 + ... + c n n ; (iii) in the integral metric L (2, ..., 2, 2r) (r = 2, 3, ...) for (1, ..., n ) = 1(1) + ... + n – 1( n – 1) + c n n .  相似文献

Let H, H L be classes of functionsf(x) whose modulus of continuity (f; t) and, respectively, integral modulus of continuity(f; t)L do not exceed a given modulus of continuity(t), while Hv is a class of functionsf(x) whose variation fdoes not exceed a given number V > 0. Bounds are obtained for the upper limit of the best approximations in the metric of L by Haar-system polynomials on the classes just introduced (on the class H L only when (t)=Kt). These bounds are exact for class HV and, in case(t) is convex, also for the classes H and H L .Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 6, No. 1, pp. 47–54, July, 1969.The author wishes to thank N. We study singularities of foliations given by R. Moussu closely related to a conjecture of R. Thom. We give their analytic classification and prove their topological rigidity.

Let a,b,c () be the number of factorizations of a Gaussian number in the form = 1 a 2 b 3 c , where a, b, and c are natural numbers. In the ring of Gaussian numbers, we construct an asymptotic formula for a summatory function of a,b,c () weighted by the generalized Klosterman function.  相似文献

The cohomology H* (G/,) of the de Rham complex *(G/) of a compact solvmanifold G/ with deformed differential d = d + , where is a closed 1 -form, is studied. Such cohomologies naturally arise in Morse-Novikov theory. It is shown that, for any completely solvable Lie group G containing a cocompact lattice G, the cohomology H*(G/, ) is isomorphic to the cohomology H*( ) of the tangent Lie algebra of the group G with coefficients in the one-dimensional representation : defined by () = (). Moreover, the cohomology H *(G/,) is nontrivial if and only if -[] belongs to a finite subset of H 1(G/,) defined in terms of the Lie algebra .Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, vol. 77, no. 1, 2005, pp. 67–79.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 by D. In Ann. of Math. 121 (1985), 111–168, Coleman defines p-adic Abelian integrals on curves. Given a family of curves X/S, a differential and two sections s and t, one can define a function on S by (P)= s(P) t(P) P . In this paper, we prove that is locally analytic on S.  相似文献

Let w : [0, ) be a weight function on a set R. We assume that the associated extremal measure has density function v(t) with finitely many singularities of logarithmic type. We show that any continuous function f on which vanishes outside the set where v is positive or has a logarithmic singularity, is the uniform limit on of a sequence of weighted polynomials of the form wn Pn, where Pn is of degree n. This extends previous results for continuous densities to densities having logarithmic singularities.  相似文献

Two methods of calculating the scattering amplitude f(, 0) of a wave scattered by the vertex of an arbitrarily shaped cone are justified. It is shown that the approximation f d (, 0,t) obtained by a method similar to the AbelPoisson method of summation converges uniformly in the regularity region for f. Also, the possibility of calculating f(, 0) for N 1( 0) with the help of rapidly convergent integrals is proved. Bibliography: 7 titles.  相似文献

Summary The local homogeneity property is defined as in [Mak]. We show thatL (Q1) and some related logics do not have the local homogeneity property, whereas cofinality logicL (Q cf) has the homogeneity property. Both proofs use forcing and absoluteness arguments.  相似文献

Let WrH w be the subclass of those functions of Cr[a, b], for which (f (r),)(), where () is a given modulus of continuity, and Pn be the space of algebraic polynomials of degree at most n and n(f) be the polynomial of best approximation for f(x) on [a, b]. A topological space X whose topology is the order topology of some linear ordering on X, is called an interval space. A space in which every closed subspace is homeomorphic to a clopen subspace, is called a CO space. We regard linear orderings as topological spaces, by equipping them with their order topology. If L and K are linear orderings, then L *, L+K, L·K denote respectively the reverse orderings of L, the ordered sum of L and K and the lexicographic order on L×K (so ·2=+ and 2·=). Ordinals are considered as linear orderings, and cardinals are initial ordinals. For cardinals , 0, let L(, )= + 1 + * . Main theorem. Let X be a compact interval space. Then X is a CO space if and only if X is homeomorphic to a space of the form + 1 + i L( i , i ), where is any ordinal, n, for every ii, i are regular cardinals and i i, and if n>0, then max({ i: i}) · . This first part is devoted to show the following result. Theorem: If X is a compact interval CO space, then X is a scattered space (that means that every subspace of X has an isolated point).Supported by the Université Claude-Bernard (Lyon-1), the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, and the C.N.R.S.: UPR 9016Supported by the City of Lyon  相似文献

We study the cardinalities of countably compact, locally countableT 3 spaces. For alln(<), there exists one of cardinality n . IfV=L, then there exists one of cardinalityx iffx= orx =x. MA implies that there exists one of cardinality>2.  相似文献

For a Rees matrix semigroupS with normalized sandwich matrix and C(S), the congruence lattice ofS, we consider the lattice generated by {itpTl, pK, pTr, ptl, pk, ptr}. HerepT 1 andpt l are the upper and lower ends of the interval which makes up the i -class of , i being the left trace relation onC(S). The remaining symbols have the analogous meaning relative to the kernel and the right trace relations. We also consider the lattice generated by {T l, K, Tr, tl, k, tr} where and are the equality and the universal relations onS, respectively. In both cases, we find lattices freest relative to these lattices and represent them as distributive lattices with generators and relations. With 3 Figures  相似文献

This considers the question of the best one-sided approximation of certain classes of continuous periodic functions by means of trigonometric polynomials of order n-1 in the metric L 2 p (1p<). Precise upper bounds are obtained for the best one-sided approximation of classes of 2/n-periodic functions H,n [having arbitrary prescribed modulus of continuity (t)] in the metric L 2 p , as well as of classes of 2-periodic functions H [having prescribed modulus of continuity (t) with definite limits] in the metric L 2 1 .Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 10, No. 6, pp. 615–626, December, 1971.The author warmly thanks N. For fixed step-sizeh the Störmer method is stable for the standard test equationÿ= 2 y,>0, if and only ifh<2. We show that for variable step sizeh n there does not exist a (positive) limit onh which ensures stability. Nor can we guarantee stability if, in addition, we limit the step size ratioh n/h n–1.This work was supported in part by National Science Foundation Grant DMS 90 15533.  相似文献

Summary Let (,H, P) be an abstract Wiener space and define a shift on byT()=+F() whereF is anH-valued random variable. We study the absolute continuity of the measuresPºT –1and ( F PT 1 with respect toP using the techniques of the degree theory of Wiener maps, where F =det2(1+F) × Exp{–F–1/2|F|2}.The work of the second author was supported by the fund for promotion of research at the Technion  相似文献

Summary LetT()=+F() be a transformation from the Wiener space to itself with the range ofF() assumed to be in the Cameron-Martin space. The absolute continuity and the density function associated withT is considered;T is assumed to be embedded in or defined through a parameterizationT t =+F t () andF t is assumed to be differentiable int. The paper deals first with the case where the range of thet-derivative ofF t () is also in the Cameron-Martin space and new representations for the Radon-Nikodym derivative and the Carleman-Fredholm determinant are derived. The case where thet-derivative ofF t is not in the Cameron-Martin space is considered next and results on the absolute continuity and the density function, under conditions which are considerably weaker than previously known conditions, are presented. The work of the second author was supported by the fund for promotion of research at the Technion  相似文献
