Abstract

Spectrophotometric determination of manganese(VII) at 614 nm after its extraction with N1 -hydroxy-N1,N2-diphenylbenzamidine into amyl alcohol at pH 7–8 is described. Beer's law was obeyed for 0.1–10 μg ml?1 Mn(VII). The effects of experimental variables and of several diverse ions on the determination of manganese(VII) have been studied. The method has been applied to the determination of manganese in steels and in water extracts of a commercial tea and is found to be simple, precise and highly selective.  相似文献

The reaction between titanium(IV) and 2-(2-thiazolylazo)-p-cresol-(TAC) in aqueous methanol media at apparent pH 4.0–5.6 results in a intensely coloured complex that is stable for at least 2 h. The combining ratio is 1 1 cation TAC. Beer's law is obeyed up to 5.0 g/ml titanium(IV) at 580 nm. The apparent molar absorptivity at 580 nm is 9.82.103 l.mole–1.cm–1 and the detection limit obtained was 5 ng/ml titanium (IV). A spectrophotometric method for the simultaneous determination of titanium and iron with TAC is proposed.  相似文献

Titanium(IV) in sulphuric, perchloric and hydrochloric acid media reacts with 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-(4-tolyl)-4-pyridone (HY) to give a complex which is extractable into chloroform. The composition of the extractable complex depends on the acidity of the aqueous phase and on which mineral acid is used. The mixed titanium-perchlorate-HY complex which is formed in the presence of excess of perchlorate is the most suitable for the spectrophotometric determination of titanium. The molar absorptivity of the complex is 1.6×1041·mole–1·cm–1 at 355 nm. The optimum titanium concentration range is 0.5–6,g/ml. The method has been successfully applied to the determination of titanium in samples of bauxite and alumina refractory.  相似文献

Simple, precise, sensitive, and highly selective methods for the separate determination of iron(III) and cobalt(II) and for the simultaneous determination of both metal ions are described. Iron(III) and cobalt(II) react with thiocyanate in the presence ofN-phenylcinnamohydroxamic acid (PCHA) to form pinkish red and blue coloured complexes, respectively. Both the iron(III) and cobalt(II) complexes having stoichiometric composition of 122 (FeSCNPCHA) and 14 (CoSCN), respectively, are quantitatively extractable into ethylacetate from 0.5–1.5 M hydrochloric acid solutions. The spectra of iron(III) and cobalt(II) complexes in the visible region exhibit absorption maxima at 495 and 625 nm, respectively. The coloured systems obey Beer's law in the concentration range of 0.2–4.0g/ml of iron and 2–40g/ml of cobalt. The effects of foreign ions and of various experimental parameters were studied to establish the optimum conditions for the extraction and determination of iron and cobalt. The methods have been applied successfully to the analysis of blood, vitamin B12, and standard steels for iron and cobalt.  相似文献

Chemical depolymerization of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) waste is a possible remedy to huge amount of solid waste generation as it results in degradation products that possess a potential of recyclability. PET bottle waste was depolymerized by aminolysis using diethanolamine. Novel synthesis of N1, N1,N4,N4-tetrakis (2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalamide (THETA) with 73-76% yield and terephthalic acid (TPA) with 78-82% yield was achieved. The purified products were analyzed by FTIR, melting point, DSC, DTG and 1H-NMR. THETA has various applications in the synthesis of rigid polyurethane foam, unsaturated polyester resins and also as a cross linking agent/ hardener for epoxy resins.  相似文献

Mercury is a highly toxic metal, of which even small doses (<200 ng mL−1) can cause serious problems for humans, plants, animals and microorganisms, including marine species and freshwater organisms. Hence, a simple, fast, highly selective and sensitive and accurate method for the detection of mercury in the environmental, clinical or biological samples is necessary. A new, sensitive and selective method for the determination of Hg(II) with 5 % N1-hydroxy-N1,N2-diphenylbenzamidine modified carbon paste electrode has been developed. Hg(II) was accumulated for 210 s on the surface of the modified electrode using 0.1 M CH3COONa of pH 7 at −0.8 V vs Ag/AgCl, followed by electrochemical stripping with SWASV in 0.1 M NH4Cl at pH 4. The linear range is 0.02–10 μM Hg(II) with limit of detection of 1.28 nM. The method has RSDs of 3.7 %. The method was applied for the determination Hg(II) in five types of water samples. The recoveries were in the range 97.8–103 %. The proposed method was found to be highly selective and sensitive and has many attractive features compared to previous reports such as low cost, simplicity of electrode preparation, long term stability, fast response, easy renewable ability, and reasonable short accumulation time.  相似文献

The synthesis ofo-hydroxybenzenediazoaminoazobenzene (HDAA) is described. Cadmium forms with HDAA in the presence of Triton X-100 a 13 complex, which gives a maximum absorption at 520nm with an apparent molar absorptivity of 1.97 × 1051 · mol–1 · cm–1 in pH 10 borax buffer solution and 1.52 × 1051 · mol–1 · cm–1 in ammoniacal medium. In both media, Beer's law is followed in the range of 0 –10 g of cadmium in 25ml of solution and the coefficients of variation do not exceed 1.5%. A derivative method has been employed to determine cadmium in certain waste water samples without separation.  相似文献

Summary The synthesis and the crystal structure of N2-dibenzyl-N1-butoxycarbonyl hydrazine are reported. The compound was prepared from commercially availablet-butyl carbazate. It crystallizes in the triclinic space group P 1 witha=5.479(1) Å,b=9.559(1) Å,c=9.748(1) Å,a=63.81(1)°, =87.52(1)°, =74.07(1) Å,Z=1,D=1.18 g/cm3. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined toR=0.0329.

A new procedure for the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of Zn(II) and Ni(II) with 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol as chromogenic reagent has been developed. It is based on resolution of the mixed spectrum over the wavelength range 530–590 nm by applying a least-squares fitting program to standard spectra from each component. The spectra are recorded at an apparent pH of 5.0, provided by an acetate buffer in a mixed 6040 v/v 2-ethoxyethanol/water medium. The relative standard deviations for determination of 13.7 g of Ni and 31.0 g of Zn were 1.9 and 1.0%, respectively (8 replications). The method has been applied to the analysis of iron surfaces coated with a Zn-Ni alloy. The results are compared with those obtained by atomic-absorption spectrophotometry.  相似文献

A sensitive spectrophotometric method is developed for the determination of small amounts of molybdenum based on the extraction of molybdenum-thiocyanate-4-acetyl-2-(acetylamino)-5-dimethyl- 2-1,3,4-thiadiazole complex into chloroform from hydrochloric acid medium which is orange red in colour. The complex has an absorption maximum at 470 nm with a molar absorptivity of 2.01×104l·mole–1·cm–1. Beer's law is valid over the concentration range 0.06–2.5 ppm of molybdenum with an optimum concentration range of 0.15–2.2 ppm. The ternary complex is stable for over one week at room temperature. Equilibrium shift method indicates 142 composition for molybdenum-thio-cyanate-4-acetyl-2-(acetylamino)-5-dimethyl- 2-1,3,4-thiadiazole complex. The effects of acidity, reagent concentrations, time, temperature and diverse ions upon the absorbance of the complex are critically assessed. This method has been used successfully for the determination of molybdenum in molybdenum steels.  相似文献

Ternary complexation involving the manganese(II) ion, 2,2’-bipyridine (bipy), and halide (chloride, bromide) or pseudohalide (thiocyanate) ions has been studied by precise titration calorimetry inN,N -dimethylformamide (DMF) at 298K. All the titration curves are explained well in terms of formation of mononuclear complexes of the type [MnXm(bipy)n](2-m) + (X = CI, Br or SCN), and the formation of [MnCl(bipy)]+, [MnCl2(bipy)], [MnCl(bipy)2]+ and [MnCl2(bipy)2] has been established in the chloride system, [MnBr(bipy)]+, [MnBr2(bipy)], [MnBr(bipy)2]+ in the bromide system, and [Mn(NCS)(bipy)]+, [Mn(NCS)2(bipy)], [Mn(NCS)3(bipy)]-, [Mn(NCS)(bipy)2]+, and [Mn(NCS)2(bipy)2] in the thiocyanate system. The data were analyzed on the basis of the thermodynamic parameters for the binary MnlIbipy and MnII-X (X = Cl, Br and SCN) systems, the latter being determined in previous work. The formation constants, reaction enthalpies, and entropies of the ternary complexes were extracted. The thermodynamic parameters thus obtained are discussed in comparison with those of the corresponding systems of other transition metal(II) ions.  相似文献

Benzeneacetaldehyde-4-hydroxy-α-oxo-aldoxime is proposed as a new sensitive and selective reagent for the spectrophotometric determination of cobalt. The reagent reacts with cobalt in the pH range 8.6–9.4 to form a yellow colored 1:3 chelate which is very well extracted in chloroform. Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 0.05–1.3 μg ml−1 cobalt. The molar absorptivity of the extracted species is 2.746×104 l mol−1 cm−1 at 390 nm. The proposed method is highly sensitive, selective, simple, rapid, accurate and has been satisfactorily applied for the determination of cobalt in synthetic mixtures, pharmaceutical samples, biological samples and alloys.  相似文献

Reactions ofN,N-bis(chloromethyl)amides withN,N′-diacyl derivatives of ethylenediamine (oro-phenylenediamine) result in formation of the corresponding 1,3,5-triacylated perhydro-1,3,5-triazepines (or their benzoanalogs) or 1,3-diacylated imidazolidines (or their benzoanalogs). Reactions ofN,N-bis(chloromethyl)amides withN,N′-ditosylated trimethylenediamine occur in a similar way. Extraction of titanium(IV) gallate species into tri-iso-octylamine (TIOA) has been studied to develop a spectrophotometric method for the determination of titanium. The behaviour of common ions, under the conditions for quantitative extraction of titanium, is reported. The characteristics of the mixed-ligand titanium(IV)-fluoride-alizarin complex, including the optimum conditions of formation and extraction into methyl isobutyl ketone, are described. A simple and sensitive procedure for spectrophotometric determination of titanium has been developed. At pH 9.5-10.3 titanium reacts with alizarin in the presence of fluoride to form a red-violet complex that is completely extractable into methyl isobutyl ketone, and has its absorption maximum at 513 nm. The molar absorptivity at 513 nm is 7.0 x 10(4)l.mole(-1).cm(-1). Beer's law is obeyed up to 22 mug of titanium in 30 ml of solution. 研究新型萃取剂从硝酸盐介质中萃取分离稀土元素对于后处理工艺具有重要意义。本文报道以甲苯为稀释剂,N,N,N′,N′-四丁基丙二酰胺(TBMA)从硝酸盐介质中萃取铈(Ⅲ)、镝(Ⅲ)、铒(Ⅲ)、镨(Ⅲ)、钐(Ⅲ)、铽(Ⅲ)、铥(Ⅲ)、镱(Ⅲ)的机理。考察了硝酸浓度、TBMA浓度、盐析剂浓度以及温度对上述三价镧系离子分配比的影响。得出萃合物的组成主要是三配体配合物M(NO3)3·3TBMA;计算出萃取反应的条件平衡常数、萃取平衡常数。温度效应研究表明萃取反应主要是焓驱动的。对萃取分离系数以及TBMA萃取三价镧系离子的规律进行了初步研究。  相似文献

A sensitive flotation-spectrophotometric method, based on the complex formed between Ag(I) and 4-(p-nitrophenylazo)-2-amino-3-pyridinol is described. The complex precipitates when the aqueous solution is shaken with benzene, and the solid formed is then dissolved in dimethylformamide. The molar absorptivity of the resulting solution is 10.7×104l·mole–1·cm–1 at 605 nm. Beer's law is obeyed between 0.08 and 1 ppm of silver. The molar ratio of Agreagent in the separated complex is 12. The effect of foreign ions has been determined and the proposed method can be applied to determination of silver in an exhausted photographic developing solution.  相似文献

A new method for quantification of the relative distribution of deuterium in molecules is proposed. The technique is based on the lineshape analysis in the 2H NMR spectra obtained at the natural abundance level of deuterium with allowance for inhomogeneity of the magnetic field. The equilibrium thermodynamic H/D isotope effects for hindered rotation about the C—N bond in the N,N-dimethylformamide molecule and for prototropic exchange in the cyclopentadiene molecule were determined. The results obtained agree with those of DFT calculations of the vibrational energies.  相似文献

Abstract

Mixtures of Lead(II) and Ca(II) form with purpurin (P; 1,2,4-Trihydroxyanthraquinone) the mixed-metal-complex PbCaP3, which is extracted with isobutyl methyl ketone (IBMK) at pH 7.8. The molar absorptivity of the complex is 2.8 × 104 l.mol?1.cm?1 at 575 nm and its conditional extraction constant 2.5 × 1017 14.mole?4. The use of this complex for the spectrophotometric determination of lead up to 40 μg has been investigated. The proposed procedure has been successfully applied to the analysis of this metal in different samples.  相似文献
