We show that the cleaving functors introduced in [Bautista et al., Invent. Math. 81 (1985) 217] as a tool for proving infinite representation type of finite-dimensional algebras can also be used to establish controlled wildness. The main application is that an algebra is controlled wild if there is an indecomposable projective module with a Loewy factor having a homogeneous direct summand which is of length at least 3. As a second application we derive Han's covering criterion.  相似文献

We study self-extensions of modules over symmetric artin algebras. We show that non-projective modules with eventually vanishing self-extensions must lie in AR components of stable type ZAZA. Moreover, the degree of the highest non-vanishing self-extension of these modules is determined by their quasilength. This has implications for the Auslander–Reiten Conjecture and the Extension Conjecture.  相似文献

Let Λ be an order over a Dedekind domain R with quotient field K. An object of , the category of R-projective Λ-modules, is said to be fully decomposable if it admits a decomposition into (finitely generated) Λ-lattices. In a previous article [W. Rump, Large lattices over orders, Proc. London Math. Soc. 91 (2005) 105-128], we give a necessary and sufficient criterion for R-orders Λ in a separable K algebra A with the property that every is fully decomposable. In the present paper, we assume that is separable, but that the p-adic completion Ap is not semisimple for at least one . We show that there exists an , such that KL admits a decomposition KL=M0M1 with finitely generated, where LM1 is fully decomposable, but L itself is not fully decomposable.  相似文献

Using van den Dries’s test and Brüstle, de la Peña and Skowroński’s characterization of tame strongly simply connected algebras we prove that such algebras of fixed dimension form an open Z-scheme. There is also an open Z-scheme of all strongly simply connected algebras.  相似文献

The determinant of the Cartan matrix of a finite dimensional algebra is an invariant of the derived category and can be very helpful for derived equivalence classifications. In this paper we determine the determinants of the Cartan matrices for all gentle algebras. This is a class of algebras of tame representation type which occurs naturally in various places in representation theory. The definition of these algebras is of a purely combinatorial nature, and so are our formulae for the Cartan determinants.Received: 29 October 2004  相似文献

In this article, we discuss the infinite dimensional indecomposable Harish-Chandra representations over ${\cal U}_q(sl(2))$. As an application, we answer a question of Ringel on the annihilator ideals of simple modules.  相似文献

Let B be a block of the group algebra KG of a finite Group G over an algebraically closed field K. We prove that every degeneration of finite dimensional B-modules is given by short exact sequences if and only if B is of finite representation type. Received: 7 July 1997  相似文献

We introduce a notion of Gorenstein R-algebras over a commutative Gorenstein ring R. Then we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for a tilting complex over a Gorenstein R-algebra A to have a Gorenstein R-algebra B as the endomorphism algebra and a construction of such a tilting complex. Furthermore, we provide an example of a tilting complex over a Gorenstein R-algebra A whose endomorphism algebra is not a Gorenstein R-algebra.  相似文献

We describe the dimensions of low Hochschild cohomology spaces of exceptional periodic representation-infinite algebras of polynomial growth. As an application we obtain that an indecomposable non-standard periodic representation-infinite algebra of polynomial growth is not derived equivalent to a standard self-injective algebra.  相似文献

For representations of tame quivers the degenerations are controlled by the dimensions of various homomorphism spaces. Furthermore, there is no proper degeneration to an indecomposable. Therefore, up to common direct summands, any minimal degeneration from M to N is induced by a short exact sequence 0→UMV→0 with indecomposable ends that add up to N. We study these ‘building blocs’ of degenerations and we prove that the codimensions are bounded by two. Therefore, a quiver is Dynkin resp. Euclidean resp. wild iff the codimension of the building blocs is one resp. bounded by two resp. unbounded. We explain also that for tame quivers the complete classification of all the building blocs is a finite problem that can be solved with the help of a computer.  相似文献

By introducing a twisted Hopf algebra we unify several important objects of study. Skew derivations of such an algebra are defined and the corresponding skew differential operator algebras are studied. This generalizes results in the Weyl algebra. Applying this investigation to the twisted Ringel-Hall algebra we get, in particular, a natural realization of the non-positive part of a quantized generalized Kac-Moody algebra, by identifying the canonical generators with some linear, skew differential operators. This also induces some algebras which are quantum-group like.  相似文献

We introduce a notion of Gorenstein algebras of codimension c and demonstrate that Serre duality theory plays an essential role in the theory of derived equivalences for Gorenstein algebras.  相似文献

Throughout the paper k denotes a fixed field. All vector spaces and linear maps are k-vector spaces and k-linear maps, respectively. By Z, N, and N+, we denote the sets of integers, nonnegative integers, and positive integers, respectively. For i,jZ, [i,j]:={lZilj} (in particular, [i,j]=∅ if i>j).  相似文献

In this paper, the cellularity of twisted semigroup algebras over an integral domain is investigated by introducing the concept of cellular twisted semigroup algebras of type JH. Partition algebras, Brauer algebras and Temperley-Lieb algebras all are examples of cellular twisted semigroup algebras of type JH. Our main result shows that the twisted semigroup algebra of a regular semigroup is cellular of type JH with respect to an involution on the twisted semigroup algebra if and only if the twisted group algebras of certain maximal subgroups are cellular algebras. Here we do not assume that the involution of the twisted semigroup algebra induces an involution of the semigroup itself. Moreover, for a twisted semigroup algebra, we do not require that the twisting decomposes essentially into a constant part and an invertible part, or takes values in the group of units in the ground ring. Note that trivially twisted semigroup algebras are the usual semigroup algebras. So, our results extend not only a recent result of East, but also some results of Wilcox.  相似文献

We show how the treatment of cellularity in families of algebras arising from diagram calculi, such as Jones’ Temperley-Lieb wreaths, variants on Brauer’s centralizer algebras, and the contour algebras of Cox et al. (of which many algebras are special cases), may be unified using the theory of tabular algebras. This improves an earlier result of the first author (whose hypotheses covered only the Brauer algebra from among these families).  相似文献

We show that certain tiled R-orders $\Lambda$ have periodic projective resolutions and hence we determine the Hochschild cohomology ring of $\Lambda$. This generalises, reproves and connects several results in the literature.Received: 23 October 2002  相似文献

For an algebraically closed field K, we investigate a class of noncommutative K-algebras called connected quantized Weyl algebras. Such an algebra has a PBW basis for a set of generators {x1,,xn} such that each pair satisfies a relation of the form xixj=qijxjxi+rij, where qijK? and rijK, with, in some sense, sufficiently many pairs for which rij0. For such an algebra it turns out that there is a single parameter q such that each qij=q±1. Assuming that q±1, we classify connected quantized Weyl algebras, showing that there are two types linear and cyclic. When q is not a root of unity we determine the prime spectra for each type. The linear case is the easier, although the result depends on the parity of n, and all prime ideals are completely prime. In the cyclic case, which can only occur if n is odd, there are prime ideals for which the factors have arbitrarily large Goldie rank.We apply connected quantized Weyl algebras to obtain presentations of two classes of quantum cluster algebras. Let n3 be an odd integer. We present the quantum cluster algebra of a Dynkin quiver of type An?1 as a factor of a linear connected quantized Weyl algebra by an ideal generated by a central element. We also consider the quiver Pn+1(1) identified by Fordy and Marsh in their analysis of periodic quiver mutation. When n is odd, we show that the quantum cluster algebra of this quiver is generated by a cyclic connected quantized Weyl algebra in n variables and one further generator. We also present it as the factor of an iterated skew polynomial algebra in n+2 variables by an ideal generated by a central element. For both classes, the quantum cluster algebras are simple noetherian. We establish Poisson analogues of the results on prime ideals and quantum cluster algebras. We determine the Poisson prime spectra for the semiclassical limits of the linear and cyclic connected quantized Weyl algebras and show that, when n is odd, the cluster algebras of An?1 and Pn+1(1) are simple Poisson algebras that can each be presented as a Poisson factor of a polynomial algebra, with an appropriate Poisson bracket, by a principal ideal generated by a Poisson central element.  相似文献
