A simple, rapid method for isolating herbicides from well water was developed using disposable octadecyl (C18) solid-phase extraction columns. Deuterium-labeled internal standards were used to compensate for any losses that may have occurred during sample preparation owing to matrix effects. Detection by capillary gas chromatography-mass spectrometry in the selected ion monitoring mode minimized the frequency of false-positive results. The accuracy of the method was ± 5% at concentrations > 0.20μg l?1 for four of the five herbicides studied. 相似文献

Combined solid-phase extraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry used for determination of chloropropanols in water 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A sensitive and rapid derivatization method for the simultaneous determination of 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol (1,3-DCP) and 3-chloropropane-1,2-diol (3-MCPD) in water samples has been developed. The aim was to research the optimal conditions of the derivatization process for two selected reagents. A central composite design was used to determine the influence of derivatization time, derivatization temperature and reagent volume. A global desirability function was applied for multi-response optimization. The analysis was performed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. During the optimization of the extraction procedure, four different types of solid-phase extraction (SPE) columns were tested. It was demonstrated that the Oasis HLB cartridge produced the best recoveries of the target analytes. The pH value and the salinity were investigated using a Doehlert design. The best results for the SPE of both analytes were obtained with 1.5 g of NaCl and pH 6. The proposed method provides high sensitivity, good linearity (R(2)≥0.999) and repeatability (relative standard deviations % between 2.9 and 3.4%). Limits of detection and quantification were in the range of 1.4-11.2 ng/mL and 4.8-34.5 ng/mL, respectively. Recoveries obtained for water samples were ca. 100% for 1,3-DCP and 3-MCPD. The method has been successfully applied to the analysis of different samples including commercially bottled water, an influent and effluent sewage. 相似文献

A solid phase extraction (SPE) method has been optimized for the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) simultaneous determination of herbicides belonging to the following different families: carbamate (molinate), atrazines (atrazine, propazine, simazine, ametryne, cyanazine, terbutylazine, deethylterbutylazine, deethylatrazine), dinitroaniline (trifluralin, pendimethalin), chloroacetamide (alachlor, metolachlor). Different solid substrates have been compared (C18, cyano, styrene-divinylbenzene, phenyl, graphitic carbon). The type of conditioning and elution solvent, its volume, and the sample flow rate have been considered as variables affecting the recovery yields of the herbicides. The optimized experimental conditions are C18 phase conditioned with 3 mL acetone, loaded with 1 L water sample at 5 mL min−1, and eluted with 3 mL acetone. Good recoveries (included between 79% and 99%) and R.S.D. (included between 2% and 12%) have been obtained for all analytes, except for deethylatrazine whose recovery was 46 ± 7%. The recovery of deethylatrazine increases up to 94 ± 17% if a non-porous graphitic carbon is coupled to the C18 phase, keeping the other parameters constant as optimized. The optimized method has been successfully checked for the identification and quantitation of the selected herbicides in raw and drinking water samples, with quantitation limits as low as 0.01 μg L−1, fully in agreement with the current legislation. The method is easily routinable. After development, the method is currently routinely applied for the analysis of herbicides in waters and, up today, more than one thousand samples have been analysed at the “Laboratorio della Società Metropolitana Acque di Torino” (Laboratory of the Municipal Waterworks of Turin) in charge of the control of drinking water quality in Torino. 相似文献

A semiautomatic method has been proposed for the determination of different types of amines in water samples including anilines, chloroanilines, N-nitrosamines and aliphatic amines. The analytes were retained on a solid-phase extraction sorbent column and after elution, 1 μL of the extract was analysed by gas chromatography coupled with electron impact ionization mass spectrometry. A systematic overview is given of the advantages and disadvantages of several sorbents (LiChrolut EN, Oasis HLB, RP-C18, graphitized carbon black, fullerenes and nanotubes) in the retention of amine compounds and based on sensitivity, selectivity and reliability. The retention efficiency for the studied amines was higher (ca. 100%) with LiChrolut EN and Oasis HLB than it was with RP-C18 and fullerenes (53 and 62%, respectively, on average). Detection limits of 0.5-16 ng L−1 for the 27 amines studied were obtained when using a sorbent column containing 75 mg of LiChrolut EN for 100 mL of sample, the RSD being lower than 6.5%. The method was applied with good accuracy and precision in the determination of amines in various types of water including river, pond, tap, well, drinking, swimming pool and waste. 相似文献

Multiresidue determination of pesticides in juice by solid-phase extraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A multiresidue method based on solid-phase extraction was developed for the simultaneous determination of 50 pesticides in commercial juices. The extraction procedure was carried out in C18 columns preconditioned with acetonitrile and water. The subsequent elution of pesticides was performed with a mixture of hexane-ethyl acetate (1:1, v/v) prior to the determination by gas chromatography with electron impact mass spectrometric detection in the selected ion monitoring mode (GC-MS-SIM), using one target and two qualifier ions. Standards were prepared spiking blank juice samples to counteract the observed matrix effect. Average recoveries for all the pesticides studied were higher than 91% with relative standard deviations lower than 9% in the concentration range of 0.02-0.1 μg/mL and the detection limits achieved ranged from 0.1 to 4.6 μg/L. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of these compounds in commercial juices and diazinon, ethion and procymidone were the pesticides encountered, although the levels found were very low. 相似文献

Analysis of chloroacetanilide herbicides in water samples by solid-phase microextraction coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A solid-phase microextraction (SPME) method has been developed for the determination of 3 chloroacetanilide herbicides in both fresh and seawater samples. The extracted sample was analyzed by gas chromatography with mass spectrometry detection (GC-MS), and parameters affecting SPME operation including fibre type, sample pH, sample temperature, mixing speed and extraction time have been evaluated and optimized. The amount of dissolved organic matter (DOM) and the salt content both affected SPME extraction efficiency, but the presence of other competitive extractants such as organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in the matrix showed no insignificance interference. The limit of detection (LOD) for acetochlor, metolachlor and butachlor were 1.2, 1.6 and 2.7 ng L−1, respectively. The recoveries for the herbicides ranged from 79 to 102%, and the linear dynamic range was from 10 to 1000 ng L−1. The developed method has been used to monitor herbicides contaminations in coastal water samples collected around Laizhou bay and Jiaozhou bay in Shandong peninsula, China. The concentrations of acetochlor and metolachlor ranged from undetectable to 78.5 ng L−1 and undetectable to 35.6 ng L−1, respectively. Butachlor was not observed but in only one sample and the concentration is lower than the limit of quantification (LOQ). The concentrations of the three herbicides in this study are low compared to most of the other places reported. 相似文献

A reliable method combining solid-phase extraction, derivatization and gas chromatography-chemical ionization mass spectrometry (GC-CI-MS) was developed for the measurement, in river and sewage effluent water, of four select model compounds of dicarboxylic metabolites (dm-CA(5-8)P1EC) and other dicarboxylic metabolites (CA(5-8)P1ECs) of nonylphenol polyethoxylates. These selected isomers were referred as dm-CA(5-8)P1ECs because they have an alpha,alpha-dimethyl configuration (expressed as "dm"), five to eight C atoms and a carboxyl group in the alkyl chain, and an ethoxy acetic acid group. The derivatization of terminal carboxyl groups was successful with (trimethylsilyl)diazomethane. The best extraction conditions were obtained using an Oasis HLB cartridge as a sorbent bed and 4 ml of MTBE/methanol (9:1, v/v) elution mixture. The method detection limits of 0.03-0.07 microg/l for dm-CA(5-8)P1ECs were attained in 500 ml pure water. The recovery was then evaluated for pure water, river and sewage effluent water samples. The high recoveries of typically >89% for each isomer indicated the high performance of the method. Although dm-CA(5-8)P1ECs were not detected in the collected water samples, 21 isomers of CA(5-8)P1ECs were identified by CI-MS and the tentative structures of six out of them were elucidated, mainly limited to the branch at alpha-C atom, by studying the EI-mass spectra. The relative concentrations of individual CA(5-8)P1EC metabolites were calculated based on dm-CA(5-8)P1ECs. The results showed that the main degradation on the nonyl chain occurred via the elimination of two carbon-units and the concentrations in Japan were much lower than those in Taiwan and Italy. 相似文献

A reliable multi-residue method which was based on solid-phase extraction (SPE) with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as adsorbent was developed for determination and quantitation of 12 pesticides (carbofuran, iprobenfos, parathion-methyl, prometryn, fenitrothion, parathion-ethyl, isocarbofos, phenthoate, methidathion, endrin, ethion, methoxychlor) in surface water by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Parameters that might influence the extraction efficiency such as the eluent volume, the sample flow rate and the sample loading volume were optimized. The experimental results showed the excellent linearity of 12 pesticides (R(2)>0.99) over the range of 0.04-4 microg L(-1), and the precisions (RSD) were 3.1-15.1% under the optimal conditions. The detection limits of proposed method could reach 0.01-0.03 microg L(-1) based on the ratio of chromatographic signal to base line noise (S/N=3). Good recoveries achieved with spiked water samples were in the range of 82.0-103.7%. The results indicated that MWCNTs have good adsorbability to the 12 pesticides tested in this study. With less cost, less analytical time and less solvent-consuming, the developed multi-residue method could be used to determine multi-class pesticides in water simultaneously. 相似文献

Domestic and office dust samples (n=37) were analyzed for hexabromocyclododecanes (HBCDs) using gas chromatography-electron-capture negative ionization-mass spectrometry (GC-ECNI/MS) and liquid chromatography-electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI/MS/MS). To determine the best method to quantify HBCDs using GC-ECNI/MS, BDE 128 was used as internal standard (I.S.) in all samples, while 13C-labeled alpha-HBCD was used as I.S. in some samples. Total HBCD concentrations (sum of alpha-, beta-, and gamma-HBCD diastereomers) were calculated using response factors (RFs) for alpha- and gamma-HBCD as individual diastereomers and using an average RF for both diastereomers. Statistical comparison showed that concentrations obtained via GC-ECNI/MS were statistically indistinguishable (p>0.05) from those obtained using LC-ESI/MS/MS. The closest match between the two techniques was obtained using [13C]alpha-HBCD as I.S. and the average RF for alpha- and gamma-HBCDs. Excellent linear correlations (Pearson coefficient values r>0.9) were obtained between the GC-ECNI/MS and LC-ESI/MS/MS results, with slopes ranging from 0.76 to 1.36. Pentabromocyclododecenes (four isomers) and tetrabromocyclododecadienes (two isomers) were detected in the studied samples and were identified as degradation products of HBCDs after separation from the parent compound on the basis of both retention time and mass spectrum. This finding suggests that the elimination of HBr is the major degradation pathway for HBCDs in dust. 相似文献

An efficient method for the simultaneous determination of the degradation products of nonylphenol polyethoxylates (NPnEOs, n = number of ethoxy units), i.e., nonylphenol (NP), NPnEOs (n = 1-3), nonylphenoxy carboxylic acids (NPnECs, n = 1-2, number of ethoxy units plus an acetate) and their halogenated derivatives (XNP, XNP1EO and XNP1EC; X = Br or Cl), in water samples were developed. After trimethylsilylation with N,O-bis(trimethysilyl)acetamide, all the analytes were determined by gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS-MS) with electron ionization (EI). The ion peaks of [M - 85]+ of the derivatives were selected as precursor ions and their product ions showing the highest intensities were used for the quantitative analysis. The instrumental detection limits were in the range from 2.1 to 11 pg. The recoveries of the analytes from the water samples were optimized by using solid-phase extraction (SPE). The deuterated reagents of octylphenol, octylphenol monoethoxylate and octylphenoxyacetic acid were used as the surrogates. The method detection limits (500 ml water sample) using C18 SPE were from 2.5 to 18 ng/l. The recoveries from spiked pure water and the environmental water samples were greater than 78%. The method was successfully applied to environmental samples. Remarkably, the concentrations of the halogenated compounds (CINP, CINP1EO and BrNP1EO) were detected at the hundreds of ng/l levels in the Neya river. 相似文献

A sensitive analytical method to concentrate and determine extensively used UV filters in cosmetic products at (ultra)trace levels in water samples is presented. The method is based on a sample treatment using dispersive solid-phase extraction (dSPE) with laboratory-made chemisorbed oleic acid-coated cobalt ferrite (CoFe(2)O(4)@oleic acid) magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) as optimized sorbent for the target analytes. The variables involved in dSPE were studied and optimized in terms of sensitivity, and the optimum conditions were: mass of sorbent, 100mg; donor phase volume, 75 mL; pH, 3; and sodium chloride concentration, 30% (w/v). After dSPE, the MNPs were eluted twice with 1.5 mL of hexane, and then the eluates were evaporated to dryness and reconstituted with 50 μL of N,O-bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide (BSTFA) for the injection into the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Under the optimized experimental conditions the method provided good levels of repeatability with relative standard deviations below 16% (n=5, at 100 ng L(-1) level). Limit of detection values ranged between 0.2 and 6.0 ng L(-1), due to the high enrichment factors achieved (i.e., 453-748). Finally, the proposed method was applied to the analysis of water samples of different origin (tap, river and sea). Recovery values showed that the matrices under consideration do not significantly affect the extraction process. 相似文献

The synthesis and determination of persistent dicarboxylic metabolites of alkylphenol polyethoxylates (NPEOs), carboxyalkyl phenoxy ethoxy carboxylates (CAPECs), are investigated. The synthesized CAPECs have three and four carbon atoms and a carboxyl group in the alkyl chain side, and a carboxymethoxy acid group in its para-position (expressed as CA(3)P1EC and CA(4)P1EC in their abbreviation). The synthesis was successfully accomplished via a four-step reaction sequence that started from 4-fluoroanisole. After propylation by a propanol/acetyl chloride procedure, the derivatives of synthesized CA(3)P1EC and CA(4)P1EC were separated and identified by GC-MS with electron impact ionization (EI). The most abundant characteristic ions were produced by benzylic cleavages of carboxyalkyl chain to yield [M-87](+), corresponding to ions of m/z 235 for CA(3)P1EC and m/z 249 for CA(4)P1EC. Recoveries of synthesized CA(3)P1EC and CA(4)P1EC in various spiked water samples ranged from 82 to 92% with relative standard deviations (RSD) lesser than 7%. The limits of quantitation (LOQ) of CA(3)P1EC and CA(4)P1EC were estimated to be 0.005 and 0.01 microg/l in 100ml of water samples, respectively. The concentrations of CA(4)P1EC residues were detected in the aquatic environment ranging from n.d. to 3.24 microg/l. The results show that the synthesized CA(4)P1EC has been successfully applied to more accurately determine the concentrations of CA(4)P1EC residues in water samples. 相似文献

Trace-level determination of polar flavour compounds in butter by solid-phase extraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1

Volatile compounds are responsible for the aromas of butter. A simple technique for the determination of these components is described which is based on solid-phase extraction (SPE) after melting of the butter and separation of the aqueous phase from the fat. Volatile flavours present in the water fraction are collected by off-line SPE on cartidges packed with a copolymer sorbent. After desorption with 500 microliters of methyl acetate, 1-microliter aliquots are quantified and/or identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The procedure was tested with respect to recovery, linearity and limit of detection in real-life samples using five polar model analytes. It allows the characterisation of polar flavour compounds in butter prior to and after heat treatment at 170 degrees C. From the five model compounds, vanillin, traces of diacetyl and maltol were found to be present in the butter samples. After heat treatment 500-1000-fold increased concentration of maltol, and substantial amounts of furaneol were detected. 相似文献

Mequitazine has been found to be extractable from human plasma samples using MonoTip C18 tips, inside which C18-bonded monolithic silica gel was fixed. Human plasma (0.1 mL) containing mequitazine and cyproheptadine as an internal standard (IS) was mixed with 0.4 mL of distilled water and 25 μL of 1 M potassium phosphate buffer (pH 8.0). After centrifugation of the mixture, the supernatant fraction was extracted to the C18 phase of the tip by 25 repeated aspirating/dispensing cycles using a manual micropipettor. The analytes retained on the C18 phase were then eluted with methanol by five repeated aspirating/dispensing cycles. Without evaporation and reconstitution, the eluate was injected into a gas chromatograph injector and detected by a mass spectrometer with selected ion monitoring in the positive-ion electron impact mode. The separation of mequitazine and the IS from each other and from impurities was generally satisfactory using a DB-1MS capillary column (30 m × 0.32 mm i.d., film thickness 0.25 μm). The recoveries of mequitazine and the IS spiked into plasma were more than 90.0%. The regression equation for mequitazine showed excellent linearity in the range of 0.2-200 ng 0.1 mL−1, and the detection limit was 0.05 ng 0.1 mL−1of plasma. The intra-day and inter-day coefficients of variation for mequitazine in human plasma were not greater than 8.16 and 9.24%, respectively. Accuracy for the drug was in the range of 90.0-97.4%. The data obtained from determination of mequitazine in human plasma after oral administration of the drug are also presented. 相似文献

Optimisation of derivatisation for the analysis of estrogenic compounds in water by solid-phase extraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
An optimisation of derivatisation methods for the simultaneous determination of endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in water by solid-phase extraction (SPE) gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was developed in this study. Seven highly potent EDCs including 17β-estradiol (E2), estrone (E1), 16α-hydroxyestrone, 17α-ethynylestradiol (EE2), bisphenol A, 4-nonylphenol and 4-tert-octylphenol were selected as the target compounds. The SPE technique, followed by the derivatisation with N,O-bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide (BSTFA) was used for the extraction recoveries of compounds from water and effluent samples. The stability of the silylation derivatives under different reaction conditions was investigated. The combined use of BSTFA and pyridine as derivatisation reagents, together with the use of hexane as the final solvent, was preferred in order to generate more stable derivatives of EDCs. The relative response factor (RRF) of all derivatives except that of EE2 was stable 120 h after derivatisation. The addition of pyridine as derivatisation reagent with BSTFA can prevent the conversion of EE2 to other products during the reaction. Several parameters that may affect the recovery of EDCs, such as the SPE flow rate, and water properties including aquatic colloid content and surfactant concentration were tested. The results showed that the flow rate (1-25 mL min−1), colloid concentration (0-50 mg L−1) and surfactants concentration (0-10 μg L−1) did not cause significant decrease in the EDCs recovery. 相似文献

A method is described for simultaneous determination of semivolatile organic compounds (SVOCs) in indoor air by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The selected 73 SVOCs were collected using combined adsorbents (quartz fiber filter disk and Empore disk) for 24 h at a 5.0 l/min flow rate. The SVOCs collected were extracted with acetone, concentrated, then analyzed by an internal standard method. Forty compounds (19 plasticizers and flame retardants; 19 insecticides; 1 synergist; and 1 fungicide) among the target SVOCs were determined accurately and precisely. The method of detection limits for these compounds were approximately 0.5 ng/m3 for most of the SVOCs. The collected SVOC samples could be stored for up to 1 month at 4 C in the refrigerator. 相似文献

Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) is an antioxidant utilized as additive in foods and packaging plastic. Its presence in drinking water is possible if it is used as an antioxidant in the packaging plastic because it may migrate into the package's contents. A method for the determination of BHT in water by means of solid-phase microextraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry has been developed and evaluated with respect to the time of fiber exposure, limits of detection and quantitation, linearity and precision. Finally, the method was applied to evaluate the presence of this substance in samples of mineral and mineralized bottled drinking water, and it appeared to be present in seven out of a total of fifteen commercial brands. 相似文献

An analytical method has been developed for measuring 24 chlorinated pesticides in fish tissue samples. Extraction of chlorinated pesticides was carried out by ultrasonication using an acetone-n-hexane (5:2, v/v) mixture. Most of the lipids in the extract were eliminated by freezing-lipid filtration, prior to solid-phase extraction (SPE) cleanup. During freezing-lipid filtration, about 90% of the lipids extracted from the fish samples were easily removed without any significant losses of chlorinated pesticides. For purification, SPE using Florisil was shown to be more effective than silica. Quantification was performed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry in the selected ion monitoring mode. Spiking experiments were carried out to determine the recovery, precision, and limits of detection (LODs) of the method. The overall recovery was above 80% in the spiked fish tissue sample at 100 ng/g level. The detection limits for chlorinated pesticides were ranged from 0.5 to 5 ppb, except for endosulfan I and II which was 20 ppb. The newly developed method is demonstrated to give efficient recoveries and LODs for detecting chlorinated pesticides spiked into fish tissue with high lipid content. 相似文献
