In this paper, we consider the problem of the existence of non-negative weak solution u of
having a given closed set S as its singular set. We prove that when and S is a closed subset of Ω, then there are infinite many positive weak solutions with S as their singular set. Applying this method to the conformal scalar curvature equation for n ≥ 9, we construct a weak solution of such that Sn is the singular set of u where L0 is the conformal Laplacian with respect to the standard metric of Sn. When n = 4 or 6, this kind of solution has been constructed by Pacard.  相似文献

We consider the harmonic heat flow for maps u between B3, the unit ball of , and its boundary S2. For a class of possibly singular initial and boundary data we show the existence of a weak solution whose singular set is a fixed discrete set on the vertical axis arbitrarily prescribed. We discuss spaces of Sobolev type which are defined by the operator with singularity: , where and . This operator appears in a one-dimensional harmonic oscillator governed by Wigner's commutation relations. We study smoothness of and continuity of () where is in each space of Sobolev type, and obtain a generalization of the Sobolev embedding theorem. On the basis of a generalization of the Fourier transform, the proof is carried out. We apply the result to the Cauchy problems for partial differential equations with singular coefficients.

This paper is concerned with the well-posedness and large-time behavior of a two-dimensional PDE-ODE hybrid chemotaxis system describing the initiation of tumor angiogenesis. We first transform the system via a Cole-Hopf type transformation into a parabolic-hyperbolic system and then show that the solution to the transformed system converges to a constant equilibrium state as time tends to infinity. Finally we reverse the Cole-Hopf transformation and obtain the relevant results for the pre-transformed PDE-ODE hybrid system.In contrast to the existing related results, where continuous initial data is imposed, we are able to prove the asymptotic stability for discontinuous initial data with large oscillations. The key ingredient in our proof is the use of the so-called "effective viscous flux", which enables us to obtain the desired energy estimates and regularity. The technique of the "effective viscous flux" turns out to be a very useful tool to study chemotaxis systems with initial data having low regularity and was rarely(if not) used in the literature for chemotaxis models.  相似文献

Le soluzioni deboli sono trovate in senso globale come classi di equivalenza in certi spazi di Sobolev. In questo lavoro si dimostra che le soluzioni deboli ammettono delle rappresentanti continue nell'interno del dominio di definizione. Si danno anche delle condizioni di continuità fino alla frontiera.
