We prove that the Gelfand-Shilov spaces S α β are topological algebras under the Moyal *-product if and only if α ≥ β. These spaces of test functions can be used to construct a noncommutative field theory. The star product depends on the noncommutativity parameter continuously in their topology. We propose a variant of the quintessence theory in order to obtain an accelerated expansion of the Friedmann universe in the framework of the relativistic theory of gravity. The scalar field of dark energy creates the substance of quintessence. We show that the function V(Φ) that factors the Lagrangian of the scalar field Φ does not influence the evolution of the universe. We construct the regular expansion at small compressibilities for the theory of fully developed turbulence of an isotropic homogeneous compressible fluid with MSR-type action. The parameter of the expansion is the Mach numberMa. For the inertial range of a compressible fluid, we study the infrared singularities determined by the transverse fields, which are used in the theory of incompressible fluids. These singularities are connected with the composite operators of transverse fields that are investigated by the quantum field renormalization group method. We consider the model of turbulent advection of a passive vector field ϕ by a two-dimensional random velocity field uncorrelated in time and having Gaussian statistics with a powerlike correlator. The renormalization group and operator product expansion methods show that the asymptotic form of the structure functions of the ϕ field in the inertial range is determined by the fluctuations of the energy dissipation rate. The dependence of the asymptotic form on the external turbulence scale is essential and has a powerlike form (anomalous scaling). The corresponding exponents are determined by the spectrum of the anomalous dimension matrices of operator families consisting of gradients of ϕ. We find a basis constructed from powers of the dissipation and enstrophy operators in which these matrices have a triangular form in all orders of the perturbation theory. Using a method of expansion similar to Chapman-Enskog expansion, a new formal perturbation scheme based on high frequency approximation has been constructed. The scheme leads to an eikonal equation in which the leading order amplitude appears. The transport equation for the amplitude has been deduced with an errorO2) where ε is the small parameter appearing in the high frequency approximation. On a length scale over which Choquet-Bruhat’s theory is valid, this theory reduces to the former. The theory is valid on a much larger length scale and the leading order terms give the weakly nonlinear ray theory (WNLRT) of Prasad, which has been very successful in giving physically realistic results and also in showing that the caustic of a linear theory is resolved when nonlinear effects are included. The weak shock ray theory with infinite system of compatibility conditions also follows from this theory.  相似文献

Using the field theory renormalization group, we study the critical behavior of two systems subjected to turbulent mixing. The first system, described by the equilibrium model A, corresponds to the relaxational dynamics of a nonconserved order parameter. The second system is the strongly nonequilibrium reaction-diffusion system, known as the Gribov process or directed percolation process. The turbulent mixing is modeled by the stochastic Navier-Stokes equation with a random stirring force with the correlator ∞ δ(t − t′)p 4−d−y, where p is the wave number, d is the space dimension, and y is an arbitrary exponent. We show that the systems exhibit various types of critical behavior depending on the relation between y and d. In addition to known regimes (original systems without mixing and a passively advected scalar field), we establish the existence of new strongly nonequilibrium universality classes and calculate the corresponding critical dimensions to the first order of the double expansion in y and ɛ = 4 − d (one-loop approximation).  相似文献

We present explicit recursion relations for the four-point superconformal block functions that are essentially particular contributions of the given conformal class to the four-point correlation function. The approach is based on the analytic properties of the superconformal blocks as functions of the conformal dimensions and the central charge of the superconformal algebra. We compare the results with the explicit analytic expressions obtained for special parameter values corresponding to the truncated operator product expansion. We construct a dark energy model with a phantom scalar field, a standard scalar field, and a polynomial potential inspired by string field theory. We find a two-parameter set of exact solutions of the Friedmann equations. We find a potential satisfying the conditions obtained from the string theory and such that at large times, some of the exact solutions correspond to the state parameter wDE > −1 while the others correspond to wDE < −1. We provide an explicit combinatorial expansion for the ground state energy of the massless spin-Boson model as a power series in the coupling parameter. Our method uses the technique of cluster expansion in constructive quantum field theory and takes as a starting point the functional integral representation and its reduction to an Ising model on the real line with long range interactions. We prove the analyticity of our expansion and provide an explicit lower bound on the radius of convergence. We do not need multiscale nor renormalization group analysis. A connection to the loop-erased random walk is indicated.  相似文献

We prove that the Hamiltonian of the model describing a spin which is linearly coupled to a field of relativistic and massless bosons, also known as the spin-boson model, admits a ground state for small values of the coupling constant λ. We show that the ground-state energy is an analytic function of λ and that the corresponding ground state can also be chosen to be an analytic function of λ. No infrared regularization is imposed. Our proof is based on a modified version of the BFS operator theoretic renormalization analysis. Moreover, using a positivity argument we prove that the ground state of the spin-boson model is unique. We show that the expansion coefficients of the ground state and the ground-state energy can be calculated using regular analytic perturbation theory.  相似文献

We consider a model of a nonlinear optical system with distributed field rotation described by a functional-differential diffusion equation. An existence theorem is proved for periodical spatially nonhomogeneous traveling-wave solutions, which are generated from a spatially homogeneous stationary solution by an Andronov-Hopf (cycle-generating) bifurcation. A series expansion of the solution in powers of a small parameter is obtained and a stability condition is given. Simulation results are used to discuss the properties of the model. We investigate the effects of a Heaviside cutoff on the dynamics of traveling fronts in a family of scalar reaction-diffusion equations with degenerate polynomial potential that includes the classical Zeldovich equation. We prove the existence and uniqueness of front solutions in the presence of the cutoff, and we derive the leading-order asymptotics of the corresponding propagation speed in terms of the cutoff parameter. For the Zeldovich equation, an explicit solution to the equation without cutoff is known, which allows us to calculate higher-order terms in the resulting expansion for the front speed; in particular, we prove the occurrence of logarithmic (switchback) terms in that case. Our analysis relies on geometric methods from dynamical systems theory and, in particular, on the desingularization technique known as ‘blow-up.’  相似文献

We discuss a method of approximate computation of the noncontact magneto-acoustic heating of nonmagnetic viscoelastic matter, based on the asymptotic separation of the initial equations of the theory of magnetoelasticity and the expansion of the solutions of the resulting sequence of problems in a series of eigenfunctions of the classical problems of electrodynamics and the dynamic theory of elasticity. The asymptotic parameter ε<1 for the problem was taken to be the criterion ε=Co. Rm forRm≤1 and ε=Co forRm≥1. We generalize key aspects of gr-qc/1010.5367 (and also gr-qc/1010.5327) to the case of massless lf2n{\lambda \phi^{2n}} quantum field theory on deSitter spacetime. As in that paper, our key objective is to derive a suitable “Mellin-Barnes-type” representation of deSitter correlation functions in a deSitter-invariant state, which holds to arbitrary orders in perturbation theory, and which incorporates renormalization. The representation is suitable for the study of large distance/time properties of correlation functions. It is arrived at via an analytic continuation from the corresponding objects on the sphere, and, as in the massive case, relies on the use of graph-polynomials and their properties, as well as other tools. However, the perturbation expansion is organized somewhat differently in the massless case, due to the well-known subtleties associated with the “zero-mode” of the quantum field. In particular, the correlation functions do not possess a well-defined limit as the self-coupling constant of the field goes to zero, reflecting the well-known non-existence of a deSitter invariant state in the free massless scalar theory. We establish that generic correlation functions cannot grow more than polynomially in proper time for large time-like separations of the points. Our results thus leave open the possibility of quantum-induced IR-instabilities of deSitter spacetime on very large time-scales.  相似文献

We study a plane stationary convective Stefan problem in the case where convection is caused by the presence of a given rotation of intensity μ. We propose a method for the investigation of this problem. This method is based on the expansion of a solution in a power series in the small parameter μ. The null term of the expansion is determined by the Ritz method. We study the variational convergence of a family of twodimensional Ginzburg-Landau functionals arising in the study of superfluidity or thin-film superconductivity as the Ginzburg-Landau parameter ε tends to 0. In this regime and for large enough applied rotations (for superfluids) or magnetic fields (for superconductors), the minimizers acquire quantized point singularities (vortices). We focus on situations in which an unbounded number of vortices accumulate along a prescribed Jordan curve or a simple arc in the domain. This is known to occur in a circular annulus under uniform rotation, or in a simply connected domain with an appropriately chosen rotational vector field. We prove that if suitably normalized, the energy functionals Γ-converge to a classical energy from potential theory. Applied to global minimizers, our results describe the limiting distribution of vortices along the curve in terms of Green equilibrium measures.  相似文献

We study the strong-coupling limit of the AdS/CFT correspondence in the framework of a recently proposed fermionic formulation of the Bethe ansatz equations governing the gauge theory anomalous dimensions. We give examples of states that do not follow the Gubser-Klebanov-Polyakov law at a large ’t Hooft coupling λ, in contrast to recent results on the quantum string Bethe equations that are valid in that regime. This result indicates that the fermionic construction cannot be trusted at large λ, although it remains an efficient tool for computing the weak-coupling expansion of anomalous dimensions. We explore the vacuum structure in the bosonic open string field theory expanded near an identity-based solution parameterized by a (≥ −1/2). Analyzing the expanded theory using the level-truncation approximation up to the level 20, we find that the theory has the tachyon vacuum solution for a ≥ −1/2. We also find that at a = −1/2, there exists an unstable vacuum solution in the expanded theory and the solution is expected to be the perturbative open string vacuum. These results reasonably support the hypothesis that the identity-based solution is a trivial pure gauge configuration for a > −1/2, but it can be regarded as the tachyon vacuum solution at a = −1/2.  相似文献
