γ-γ directional correlation experiments were performed on 14 cascades in 182W populated from the β? decay of 182Ta(115 d). Two Ge(Li) detectors were used in a coincidence arrangement, and the 182Ta sources were dissolved in HF acid to minimize extranuclear perturbations. For the 1189keV, 2? → 2+ transition, the measured directional correlation coefficients are consistent only with multipole mixing ratios . These mixing ratios are discussed and compared with the known conversion coefficients for the 1189keV transition. The E2/M1 multipole mixing ratios determined are (energy in keV): δ(66) = 0.15 ± 0.15, δ(85) = 0.31 ± 0.05, δ(114) = 0.31 ± 0.05, 0.56 ≦ δ(179) ≦ 1.36, δ(1121) = 12+2?1, and δ(1231) = ?(32+142?15). The measured M2/E1 mixing ratios are: δ(68) = 0.03 ± 0.02, δ(152) = 0.014 ± 0.013 and δ(156) = ?0.13 ± 0.19. 相似文献

The decay of 131Ba has been investigated by means of a 4π internal source scintillation spectrometer and a Ge(Li) detector. The L/K. and M/L electron capture ratios of the allowed transitions to the 373, 620 and 1048 keV levels in 131Cs have been measured. From these electron capture ratios, the ifQEC value and the exchange and overlap corrections XL/K and XM/L have been derived. 相似文献

Selected cascades in the level scheme of the 194Pt nucleus have been studied by the γ-γ directional correlation method and the spins of the 924, 1513, 1623, 1672 and 1798 keV levels determined to be 3, 2, 2, 2 and 1 respectively. The multipole mixing ratios of the 301, 594, 1184 and 1295 keV γ-transitions have been determined and a number of B(E2) ratios are compared with theory. 相似文献

In order to resolve several discrepancies in spin assignments to levels in 125Sb, directional correlations and polarization-directional correlations have been measured for several γ-γ cascades in 125Sb populated from the decay of 125Sn. Earlier results obtained from using NaI and Ge(Li) and NaI detectors were difficult to interpret due to the complex structure of the decay scheme. To improve the experimental situation, we have used two coaxial Ge(Li) detectors for the angular correlation measurements and a coaxial Ge(Li)-planar Ge(Li) combination for the polarization-directional correlations. Combination of the results of these measurements give unique spin assignments of ?, ?, +, + and + to the 1982 keV, 1890 keV, 1420 keV, 1089 keV and 1067 keV levels, respectively. The determined E2/M1 mixing ratios are : δ(470) = 0.010±0.027, δ(1067) = ?0.86±0.18, and δ(916) = ?0.02±0.01. 相似文献

Radioactive sources of 123, 125, 127, 129Ba obtained in the spallation reaction have been studied with Ge(Li), Si(Li), NaI(Tl) and plastic detectors. On the basis of γ-ray energies, intensities, energy sums and coincidence information, the decay scheme has been proposed for 127Ba. No high-spin isomer of 127Ba has been observed. The lifetimes of + → + transitions in 123, 125, 127, 129Cs have been measured. No evidence for the shape isomerism in 127Cs has been found. 相似文献

The decay of 5.4 min 174Tm has been investigated using Ge(Li) spectrometers in singles and coincidence measurements. A total of 43 γ-ray transitions, 26 of them not reported before, have been observed following the decay of 174Tm. All transitions could be placed in a level scheme comprising 19 excited states of 174Yb. The Nilsson model has been used to interpret the level structure. The mixing of two-quasineutron and two-quasiproton states is studied and the experimental mixing matrix element is compared with the results of theoretical calculations. 相似文献

The 138Ba(d,p) reaction has been studied at an incident deuteron energy of 19 MeV, using the injector-tandem accelerator and the multichannel magnetic spectrograph of the University of Oxford. Deuteron and proton optical model parameters have been obtained from the analysis of elastic scattering experiments on a 138Ba target. The parameters have been used to calculate theoretical (d, p) angular distributions on the basis of the DWBA. From the comparison of experimental and theoretical distributions, orbital angular momentum transfers have been deduced and spectroscopic factors determined for all the levels observed up to an excitation energy of 2.5 MeV in 139Ba. The spectroscopic information thus obtained is more complete than that from previous studies, and is in satisfactory agreement with expected sum rule limits. A notable item of new information is the assignment of an ln = 6 transition to the level at 1.54 MeV in 139Ba. 相似文献

The 48K, 49K and 50K nuclides have been produced in high energy fragmentation and analyzed by mass spectroscopy techniques. Their half-lives have been measured as 6 ± 1 s, 1.1 ± 0.3 s and and 0.7 ± 0.3 s, respectively. The γ-rays from their radioactive decay have been observed and the corresponding γ-intensities measured. The nuclide 50K is shown to be a delayed neutron emitter. The antianalog states in the daughter Ca nuclei with a neutron configuration, preferentially populated in the β-decay, have been located. The corresponding neutron single-particle energy is found to remain approximately constant for these neutron-rich Ca isotopes. 相似文献

The circular polarization P of γ-rays from unpolarized sources of 75Se, 171Er, and 175Yb of strengths ? 500 Ci has been measured with a Compton polarimeter of the radial transmission type. Eight NaI crystals and a four-fold current integration system were used to simultaneously record the data in four independent channels. The results are: P = ?(1.8 ± 6.0) × 10?5 for the 401 keV transition in 75As (the experimental error is ± 1.5 × 10?5, the remaining part is due to the uncertainty in the decay scheme of 75Se), P = (0.8 ± 1.5) × 10?4 for the 296 keV and 308 keV transition in 171Tm, and P = (5.7 ± 0.8) × 10?5 for the 396 keV transition in 175Lu. The last value confirms the parity non-conservation in nuclear forces. The polarimeter was calibrated with bremsstrahlung from 170Tm. The correction for polarized bremsstrahlung was given special attention. Correction factors are derived for 51Cr, 177Lu, and 198Au from a comparison of the measured and calculated bremsstrahlung yields. 相似文献

The radioactivities 25Na, 25Al, and 29Al were produced in the 23Na(t, p)25Na, 24Mg(d, n)25Al, and 27Al(t, p)29Al reactions using a 3.5 MV Van de Graaff. γ-radiations were measured by means of a target-transfer system and a Ge(Li) detector with or without Compton suppression. Decay schemes derived for 25Na and 29Al are in general agreement with earlier results, but with improved accuracy of branching ratios and much sharper limits on the intensities of certain unobserved β- and γ-ray transitions. Precision measurements of the energies of principal γ-rays gave results in keV for the listed decaying bodies as follows: 25Na ? 1611.716(11); 25Al ? 1611.708(11); and 29Al ? 1273.361(9). The energy determinations of the 25Mg 1612 keV γ-transition measured in the decays of 25Na and 25Al differ by 8 ± 9 eV. 相似文献

The quadrupole interaction frequencies in the 5? state of 118Sn have been measured by time differential perturbed angular correlation technique in Sn, Sb and (95% Sn+5% Sb) environments. The ω0 for 116Sn was determined in Sn environment only. With the help of the known electric field gradient 1) of Sn in a Sn lattice the quadrupole moments have been deduced as . These values together with the known2) quadrupole moment of the analogous 5? state in 120Sn are interpreted in terms of the pure single-particle model. The data exhibit the expected strong systematic variation of QI with the number of particles in the h. subshell which is being filled with 1, 3 and 5 neutrons in 116Sn, 118Sn, and 120Sn, respectively. 相似文献

The half-life of 207Bi was obtained from the genetic relation between 207Po and 207Bi, and between 211At and 207Bi. The half-life was found to be 33.4 ± 0.8 y. The half-life of 207Po was determined to be 5.81 ± 0.04 h by following the decay of the characteristic γ-rays from 207Po. The half-life of 211 At was determined tobe 7.23 ± 0.02 h by following the decay of γ-rays and α-particles from 211At and 211Po. The half-lives determined in the present work for 207Po and 211At agree with the literature although the half-life of 207Bi differs considerably from the currently accepted value of 38 y. The branching ratio of 211 At decaying through EC and α-decay modes was determined together with the branching ratios of the three α-particles emitted from 211Po. 相似文献

Using the OSIRIS on-line isotope separator facility, the decays of 130Sn and 130, 132Sb have been studied. On the basis of singles γ and γ-γ coincidence Ge(Li) spectra and conversion electron Si(Li) measurements, level schemes for 130Sb, 130Te and 132Te have been constructed. The corresponding half-lives have been measured using multiscaling technique. The 3.8 min ground state of 130Sn populates only positive parity states in the πν?3 nucleus 130Sb: the energetically lowest 5+ state with the configuration assignment; the state at 70.0 keV; the 2+ state at 262.5 keV; the (0, 1)+ state at 697.2 keV; the 3+ state at 813.1 keV and the 1+ state at 1042.3 keV excitation energy. A 1.7 min isomeric state in 130Sn, with the tentative spin assignment (7?), populates several odd parity levels in 130Sb. These arise from the and/or configurations and are located 84.7 keV (6?), 144.9 keV (7?), 688.5 keV and 1044.0 keV above the 40 min 8? β- decaying state. No transitions between odd and even parity states have been observed. The most important excited states in 130Te found in the β? decay of the 6.6 min 130Sb 5+ state are: 839.4 keV, 2+; 1632.8 keV, 4+; 1815.1 keV, 6+; 2100.8 keV, 5?.Levels in the π2ν?2 nucleus 132Te were observed in the β? decays of the 2.8 min 132Sb (4+) and the 4.2 min 132Sb (8?) states. Unique spin and parity assignments have been given to the following states: 973.9 keV, 2+; 1670.7 keV, 4+; 1774.1 keV, 6+; 1924.7 keV, 7?; 2053.0 keV, 5?. 相似文献

The γ-ray decay spectrum of 82 s 59Cu produced by the 58Ni(p, γ) 59Cu reaction has been studied with a 40 cm3 Ge(Li) detector. The number of γ-rays now known for this decay has more than doubled. Additional direct β+ branches to the 1679.7(), 2414.8() and 2681 keV states of 59Ni have been identified with log ft values of 5.5, 5.5 and 6.0, respectively. A major change is the reassignment of the 1340.4 keV γ-ray to a 1679.7 → 339.3 keV transition. A limit of log is given for the direct feeding of the 1337() keV state, together with limits for direct population of other energetically available states. The new weak γ-ray branches found for the 878.0, 1301.5 and 1679.7 keV levels are in excellent agreement with the recent theoretical calculations of Glaudemans et al. 相似文献

Gamma rays observed in19O(β?)19F have been studied with Ge(Li) spectroscopy utilizing activity created via the 18O(d, p) 19O reaction. Precision measurements of γ-ray energies and intensities, in conjunction with previous work, define the following excitation energies (in keV) and β-branching ratios (in %) for states of 19F: 109.894(5), 0.055(13/38); 197.143(4), 45.4(1.5); 1345.67(13), 0.017(2); 1554.038(9), 54.4(1.2); 2779.849(34), < 0.002; 3908.17(20), 0.0081(5); 4377.700(42), 0.0984(30). The corresponding values of logft are 8.34(30/10); 5.384(14); 8.25(5); 4.625(10); > 8.17; 6.133(27); and 3.859(17), respectively. The β-branches to the 1346 and 3908 keV states had not been observed previously. The β-branch for the 4378 keV state is in significantly better accord with theoretical expectations than the previous value of 0.160(12) %. 相似文献

Two new β-delayed proton precursors, 97,99Cd, have been identified at the ISOLDE on-line isotope separator. The proton branching ratio for 99Cd is (1.7+1.1?0.5) × 10?3. The 99Cd proton spectrum is discussed in terms of the statistical model with Porter-Thomas fluctuations. The half-life of 99Cd was determined to be 16±3 sec. A search for 98Cd was also performed and it was found to be a pure β-emitter with a probable half-life of ≈ 8 sec. 相似文献

The level structure of 190Os has been investigated by the techniques of radioactive decay and neutron transfer reaction spectroscopy. The existence of 3.3 h 190mRe has been confirmed; it decays ≈ 49% by isomeric transitions and ≈ 51% by β? decay to levels in 190Os with spins . In a re-investigation of the 12 d 190Ir decay, a virtually complete decay scheme has been established and discrepancies between the Iπ values assigned to several 190Os levels by earlier workers have been resolved. The reaction 189Os(d, p)190Os has been studied and information about the locations of two-quasiparticle states involving the orbital and about the microscopic compositions of collective excitations has been derived. Various aspects of the 190Os level structure are discussed in the light of the combined radioactivity and transfer reaction results. 相似文献
