In this paper, Lie symmetry method is performed for the Hirota–Ramani (H–R) equation. We will find the symmetry group and optimal systems of Lie subalgebras. Furthermore, preliminary classification of its group invariant solutions, symmetry reduction and nonclassical symmetries are investigated. We show that the Benjamin–Bona–Mahoney (BBM) equation with power law nonlinearity can be transformed by a point transformation to the combined KdV–mKdV equation, that is also known as the Gardner equation. We then study the combined KdV–mKdV equation from the Lie group-theoretic point of view. The Lie point symmetry generators of the combined KdV–mKdV equation are derived. We obtain symmetry reduction and a number of exact group-invariant solutions for the underlying equation using the Lie point symmetries of the equation. The conserved densities are also calculated for the BBM equation with dual nonlinearity by using the multiplier approach. Finally, the conserved quantities are computed using the one-soliton solution.  相似文献

We consider the Riemann problem for a class of 2?×?2 systems of conservation laws which do not satisfy the strictly hyperbolicity condition. Our main assumption is that the product of non-diagonal elements within the F?echet derivative (Jacobian) of the flux is nonnegative. E \right|_{\partial \Omega } = 0, \Omega \subset R^2 , \partial \Omega \in C^2 .$ We investigate the behavior of the solution of problem (1)–(2) as β→0 and its closeness to the solution of the degenerate equation (β=0). Given the consistency conditionq(β)=p+εln(1/β), 00, we establish boundedness of the norm $\left\| E \right\|_{C([0,z_0 ]):H_0^1 (\Omega ))} + \left\| {\partial _z E} \right\|_{C([0,z_0 ]);L^2 (\Omega ))} $ for every finitez 0>0 as β→0. We study the asymptotics and existence of nonzero bounded solutions of the Schrödinger equation on the half-line with potential that implicitly depends on the wave function via a nonlinear second-order ordinary differential equation. We consider the problem on nonzero solutions of the Schrödinger equation on the half-line with potential that implicitly depends on the wave function via a nonlinear ordinary differential equation of the second order under zero boundary conditions for the wave function and the condition that the potential is zero at the beginning of the interval and its derivative is zero at infinity. The problem is reduced to the analysis and investigation of solutions of the Cauchy problem for a system of two nonlinear second-order ordinary differential equations with initial conditions depending on two parameters. We show that if the solution of the Cauchy problem for some parameter values can be extended to the entire half-line, then there exists a nonzero solution of the original problem with finitely many zeros.  相似文献

Recent generalizations of the Camassa–Holm equation are studied from the point of view of existence of global solutions, criteria for wave breaking phenomena and integrability. We provide conditions, based on lower bounds for the first spatial derivative of local solutions, for global well-posedness in Sobolev spaces for the family under consideration. Moreover, we prove that wave breaking phenomena occurs under certain mild hypothesis. Based on the machinery developed by Dubrovin [Commun. Math. Phys. 267, 117–139 (2006)] regarding bi-Hamiltonian deformations, we introduce the notion of quasi-integrability and prove that there exists a unique bi-Hamiltonian structure for the equation only when it is reduced to the Dullin–Gotwald–Holm equation. Our results suggest that a recent shallow water model incorporating Coriollis effects is integrable only in specific situations. Finally, to finish the scheme of geometric integrability of the family of equations initiated in a previous work, we prove that the Dullin–Gotwald–Holm equation describes pseudo-spherical surfaces.  相似文献

Under investigation in this paper is a generalized (2+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation, which can be used to describe the water wave interaction. By using Bell polynomials, a lucid and systematic approach is proposed to systematically study the integrability of the equation, including its bilinear representation, soliton solutions, periodic wave solutions, Bäcklund transformation and Lax pairs, respectively. Furthermore, by virtue of its Lax equations, the infinite conservation laws of the equation are also derived with the recursion formulas. Finally, the asymptotic behavior of periodic wave solutions is shown with a limiting procedure.  相似文献

The extended homogeneous balance method is used to construct exact traveling wave solutions of the Boussinesq–Burgers equation, in which the homogeneous balance method is applied to solve the Riccati equation and the reduced nonlinear ordinary differential equation. We study the periodic traveling wave solutions of the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation (DNLS). It is known that DNLS has two types of solitons on the whole line; one has exponential decay and the other has algebraic decay. The latter corresponds to the soliton for the massless case. In the new global results recently obtained by Fukaya, Hayashi and Inui [15], the properties of two-parameter of the solitons are essentially used in the proof, and especially the soliton for the massless case plays an important role. To investigate further properties of the solitons, we construct exact periodic traveling wave solutions which yield the solitons on the whole line including the massless case in the long-period limit. Moreover, we study the regularity of the convergence of these exact solutions in the long-period limit. Throughout the paper, the theory of elliptic functions and elliptic integrals is used in the calculation.  相似文献
