The process of complex formation of maleic acid (H2L) with the ions Zn2+, Ni2+, Co2+, Cu2+ was studied by potentiometric titration in a wide range of concentration ratios at 298 K and I = 0.1 mol/l (NaNO3). The moieties ZnL, CoL, NiL, NiL 2 2? , CuL, and CuL 2 2? were detected and their stability constants were determined.  相似文献

We have investigated the presence of foreign ions into the bulk structure and the external surfaces of aragonite using periodic ab-initio methods. Four cations isovalent to Ca2+ were studied: Mg2+, Sr2+, Ba2+ and Zn2+. The calculations were performed at structures (bulk, surface) that contain four and eight CaCO3 units. Our results, at the Hartree-Fock level, show that the incorporation of those ions into aragonite depends strongly on their size. Mg2+ and Zn2+, due to their smaller size, can substitute Ca2+ ions in the crystal lattice while the incorporation of Sr2+ and Ba2+ into aragonite is energetically less favoured. Examination of the [011], [110] and [001] surfaces of aragonite revealed that the surface incorporation reduces the energetic cost for the larger ions. These systems provide challenging examples for most shape analysis methods applied in Mathematical Chemistry.  相似文献

Isothermal titration calorimetry has been used to determine the stoichiometry, formation constants and thermodynamic parameters (ΔG o, ΔH, ΔS) for the formation of the citrate complexes with the Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+ and Zn2+ ions. The measurements were run in Cacodylate, Pipes and Mes buffer solutions with a pH of 6, at 298.15 K. A constant ionic strength of 100 mM was maintained with NaClO4. The influence of a metal ion on its interaction energy with the citrate ions and the stability of the resulting complexes have been discussed.  相似文献

The imidazol side group of histidine has two nitrogen atoms capable of being protonated or participating in metal binding. Hence, histidine can take on various metal-bound and protonated forms in proteins. Because of its variable structural state, histidine often functions as a key amino acid residue in enzymatic reactions. Ab initio (HF and MP2) calculations were done in modeling the cation (H+, Li+, Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+) interaction with side chain of histidine. The region selectivity of metal ion complexation is controlled by the affinity of the side of attack. In the imidazol unite of histidine the ring nitrogen has much higher metal ion (as well as proton) affinity. The complexation energies with the model systems decrease in the following order: Mg2+ > Ca2+ > Li+ > Na+ > K+. The variation of the bond lengths and the extent of charge transfer upon complexation correlate well with the computed interaction energies.  相似文献

A new insoluble solid functionalized ligand system bearing chelating ligand group of the general formula P-(CH2)3-N[CH2CONH(C6H4)NH2]2, where P represents [Si–O] n polysiloxane network, was prepared by the reaction of the immobilized diethyliminodiacetate polysiloxane ligand system, P-(CH2)3N(CH2CO2Et)2 with 1,2-diaminobenzene in toluene. 13C CP-MAS NMR, XPS and FTIR results showed that most ethylacetate groups (–COOEt) were converted into the amide groups (–N–C=O). The new functionalized ligand system exhibits high capacity for extraction and removal of the metal ions (Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ and Zn2+) with efficiency of 95–97% after recovery from its primary metal complexes. This functionalized ligand system formed 1:1 metal to ligand complexes.  相似文献

The standard real and chemical thermodynamic characteristics of transfer of the K+, Ca2+, Cd2+, and Br? ions from water into water-acetone solvents of various compositions were analyzed to study the rules governing the solvation of these ions in mixed solvents and its special features. All calculations were performed within the framework of the vertical jet method at 298.15 K. The energy of resolvation as a function of ion charges and crystallographic radii was found to increase in the series K+ < Ca2+ < Cd2+ < Al3+  相似文献

The equilibrium constants and thermodynamic parameters for complex formation of 18-Crown-6 (18C6) with Tl+, Pb2+, Hg2+, and Zn2+ metal cations have been determined by conductivity measurements in methanol (MeOH)-water (H2O) binary solutions. 18-Crown-6 forms 1:1 complexes with Hg2+ and Zn2+ cations, but in the case of Tl+ and Pb2+ cations, in addition to 1:1 stoichiometry, 1:2 (ML2) complexes are formed in some binary solvents. The thermodynamic parameters (ΔH c0 and ΔS c0), which were obtained from the temperature dependences of equilibrium constants, show that in most cases the complexes are enthalpy destabilized but entropy stabilized. Non-linear behavior is observed between the equilibrium constants (log K f ) of complexes and the composition of the mixed solvent. The selectivity of the ligand for these metal cations is sensitive to the solvent composition, and, in some cases, the selectivity order is reversed in certain compositions of the mixed solvent. The results also show that the mechanism of complexation reactions and the stoichiometry of complexes of some metal cations change with the nature and even with the composition of the mixed solvent. The binding of cations Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+, Ag+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Co2+, NH4 + (group I), H+, Mg2+, Al3+, Ga3+ (group II), and Ca2+, Pb2+ (group III) by 21,31-diphenyl-l 2,42-dioxo- 7,10,13-trioxa-l,4(3,1)-diquinoxalina-2(2,3),3(3,2)-diindolizinacyclopentadecaphane (1), which contains two indolizine and two quinoxaline fragments and 3,6,9-trioxaundecanes spacer, and by its acyclic analog (2) was studied using cyclic voltammetry in MeCN/0.1 M Bu4NBF4. It was concluded that the ions of group I are not bound by these compounds, the ions of group II exhibit the reversible redox-switched binding by the carbamoyl groups of the quinoxaline fragments, whereas the ions of group III are bound not only by the initial compounds and radical cations 1 and 2, but also by dication 1. This binding of the Ca2+ and Pb2+ ions stabilizes dication 1.  相似文献

CaAl2O4:Eu2+, Nd3+@TiO2 composite powders were synthesized by a sol–gel method under mild conditions (i.e. low temperature and ambient pressure). The as-prepared powders were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The photocatalytic behavior of the TiO2-base surfaces was evaluated by the degradation of nitrogen monoxide gas. It suggested that CaAl2O4:Eu2+, Nd3+@TiO2 composite powders were composed of anatase titania and that CaAl2O4:Eu2+, Nd3+. TiO2 particles were deposited on the surface of CaAl2O4:Eu2+, Nd3+ to form uniform film. CaAl2O4:Eu2+, Nd3+@TiO2 composite powders exhibited higher photocatalytic activity compared with pure TiO2 under visible light. And the result also clearly indicated that the long afterglow phosphor absorbed and stored lights for the TiO2 to remain photocatalytic activity in the dark.  相似文献

The ion-exchange equilibrium in network polymers obtained from cis-2,8,14,20-tetraphenyl-4,6,10,12,16,18,22,24-octahydroxycalix[4]arene by template synthesis on cations Na+, K+, and Ba2+ as matrices was studied. The selectivity coefficients of ion exchanges Ba2+-H+, Na+-H+, K+-H+, Na+-K+, and Na+-NH4 + were determined. Summary This paper reports the radiochemical study of the ion-exchange of Cs+, Na+, Sr2+ and Eu3+ ions with H+ by chromium hexacyanoferrate(II) which was prepared in a granular form using a gel method. The slow steps which determine the rate of exchange of these ions are directly proportional to the particle diameter and this is confirmed from the linearity test of Bt vs. t plots at different particle diameters. Boyed’s equation and Reichenberg’s tables were used for evaluating all the kinetic parameters. The results reveal that the effective particle radii are unchanged for both chromium hexacyanoferrate(II) dried at 60 and 120 °C. The obtained data were analyzed using McKay plots and Arrhenius equation and the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters, e.g., effective diffusion coefficient, activation energies and entropies of activation have been evaluated. The mobility of these ions inside the particles of chromium hexacyanoferrate(II) decrease in the order of Eu3+>Sr2+>Na+⊃Cs+.  相似文献

The effect of temperature on the sorption behavior of a synthesized gel structurally close to the fluorine mica mineral, sodium potassium fluorophologopite, was studied for the heavy metal ions Cd2+, Hg2+, and Pb2+. The synthesized gel was characterized by X-ray powder pattern, energy dispersive spectrometry, infrared spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis and was found to have the composition Na0.5K0.5Mg(AlSi3O10)F2·6H2O. The effect of temperature on sorption was studied with respect to varying concentrations of metal ions. The overall sorption capacity of the synthesized gel was found to depend on the number of ion active groups per unit weight of the material. The data were expressed in terms of distribution coefficients (K d). Sorption data followed Freundlich adsorption isotherms. Studies showed that sorption decreased as the concentration of metal ions increased and increased as the temperature grew, which was evidence that the process was endothermic. The volta potential difference method at 298.15 K was used to determine the real primary medium effect for magnesium, calcium, cadmium, and copper ions, and also the real Gibbs transfer energy of these ions from water into a mixed water ethanol (EtOH) solution. The surface potential value at the nonaqueous solution/gas phase interface $ \Delta \chi _{H_2 O}^{EtOH} $ \Delta \chi _{H_2 O}^{EtOH} was obtained. With account for this value, chemical thermodynamic characteristics of the studied ions in the water-ethanol solvent were calculated and the effect of composition and nature of the mixed solvent on the values obtained was analyzed. The dependence of variation in the thermodynamic characteristics of cation resolvation was established on their crystallographic radius that corresponds to the following sequence: Ca2+ < Cd2+ < Cu2+ < Mg2+.  相似文献

From extraction experiments and γ-activity measurements, the exchange extraction constants corresponding to the general equilibrium M2+(aq)+SrL2+(nb)⇔ML2+(nb)+Sr2+(aq) taking place in the two-phase water-nitrobenzene system (M2+ = Ba2+, Pb2+, Cd2+; L = tetramethyl p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene tetraketone; aq = aqueous phase, nb = nitrobenzene phase) were evaluated. Moreover, the stability constants of the ML2+ complexes in water saturated nitrobenzene were calculated; they were found to increase in the order Ba2+<Cd2+<Pb2+.  相似文献

The details of the mechanism of persistent luminescence were probed by investigating the trap level structure of Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,R3+ materials (R: Y, La-Lu, excluding Pm and Eu) with thermoluminescence (TL) measurements and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. The TL results indicated that the shallowest traps for each Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,R3+ material above room temperature were always ca. 0.7 eV corresponding to a strong TL maximum at ca. 90 °C. This main trap energy was only slightly modified by the different co-dopants, which, in contrast, had a significant effect on the depths of the deeper traps. The combined results of the trap level energies obtained from the experimental data and DFT calculations suggest that the main trap responsible for the persistent luminescence of the Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,R3+ materials is created by charge compensation lattice defects, identified tentatively as oxygen vacancies, induced by the R3+ co-dopants.  相似文献

Synthesis of water-soluble potassium salts of carboxymethyl derivatives of calix[4]pyrogallols and dodeca(carboxylatomethyl)tetramethylcalix[4]pyrogallol (L) complexes with transition metal ions (Cu2+, Fe3+, La3+) is described. Their structures in the solid state and in solution were characterized by NMR spectroscopy, ESR, and IR spectroscopy. Calix[4]pyrogallol dodecacarboxylates exist in the rccc-configuration. Calix[4]pyrogallol with methyl substituents at the lower rim in a wide range concentrations exists in water predominantly in the dimeric form. The obtained polynuclear transition metal complexes possess less symmetric structure than potassium salt of calix[4]pyrogallol (K12L). All studied complexes contain water molecules bound by rather strong hydrogen bonds. At room temperature the Fe4L complex is characterized by the environment of the Fe3+ ions close to octahedral. The absence of signals in the ESR spectrum of the Cu6L complex indicates the strong antiferromagnetic interaction Cu2+-Cu2+.  相似文献

The performance of recently proposed 5f-in-core pseudopotentials for the trivalent actinides was investigated in calculations for model complexes An3+L n for three selected actinides (An3+ = Ac3+, Cm3+, Lr3+) and eight simple ligands with atoms from the first three periods of the table of elements (L n = F, Cl, OH, SH, CO, NH2, H2O, H2S, NH3). Results of Hartree-Fock and Coupled Cluster with singles, doubles and perturbative triples calculations using basis sets of quadruple-zeta quality are compared to corresponding reference data obtained with scalar-relativistic energy-adjusted 5f-in-valence small-core pseudopotentials. The inclusion of core-polarization potentials in the 5f-in-core pseudopotential calculations and corrections of the basis set superposition error by the counterpoise correction leads to very good agreement between the 5f-in-valence and 5f-in-core pseudopotential results for bond lengths, bond angles and binding energies. Results from 5f-in-core pseudopotential calculations using different density functionals also show reasonable agreement with the more rigorous Coupled Cluster results. It is argued that the An 5f rather than the An f population is a useful criterion for the applicability of a specific An 5f-in-core pseudopotential.  相似文献

Facilely synthesized zinc hydroxide nanoparticles by electro-dissolution of zinc sacrificial anodes were investigated for the adsorption of thorium (Th4+), uranium (U4+) and cerium (Ce4+) from aqueous solution. Various operating parameters such as effect of pH, current density, temperature, electrode configuration, and electrode spacing on the adsorption efficiency of Th4+, U4+ and Ce4+ were studied. The results showed that the maximum removal efficiency was achieved for Th4+, U4+ and Ce4+ with zinc as anode and stainless steel as cathode at a current density of 0.2 A/dm2 and pH of 7.0. First- and second-order rate equations were applied to study the adsorption kinetics. The adsorption process follows second order kinetics model with good correlation. The Langmuir, Freundlich adsorption models were applied to describe the equilibrium isotherms and the isotherm constants were determined. The experimental adsorption data were fitted to the Langmuir adsorption model. Thermodynamic parameters such as free energy (Δ), enthalpy (Δ), and entropy changes (ΔS°) for the adsorption of Th4+, U4+ and Ce4+ were computed to predict the nature of adsorption process. Temperature studies showed that the adsorption was endothermic and spontaneous in nature.  相似文献
