An interconnected framework of mesoporous graphitic‐C3N4 nanofibers merged with in situ incorporated nitrogen‐rich carbon has been prepared. The unique composition and structure of the nanofibers as well as strong coupling between the components endow them with efficient light‐harvesting properties, improved charged separation, and a multidimensional electron transport path that enhance the performance of hydrogen production. The as‐obtained catalyst exhibits an extremely high hydrogen‐evolution rate of 16885 μmol h?1 g?1, and a remarkable apparent quantum efficiency of 14.3 % at 420 nm without any cocatalysts, which is much higher than most reported g‐C3N4‐based photocatalysts even in the presence of Pt‐based cocatalysts.  相似文献

Highly crystalline graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) with decreased structural imperfections benefits from the suppression of electron–hole recombination, which enhances its hydrogen generation activity. However, producing such g‐C3N4 materials by conventional heating in an electric furnace has proven challenging. Herein, we report on the synthesis of high‐quality g‐C3N4 with reduced structural defects by judiciously combining the implementation of melamine–cyanuric acid (MCA) supramolecular aggregates and microwave‐assisted thermolysis. The g‐C3N4 material produced after optimizing the microwave reaction time can effectively generate H2 under visible‐light irradiation. The highest H2 evolution rate achieved was 40.5 μmol h−1, which is two times higher than that of a g‐C3N4 sample prepared by thermal polycondensation of the same supramolecular aggregates in an electric furnace. The microwave‐assisted thermolysis strategy is simple, rapid, and robust, thereby providing a promising route for the synthesis of high‐efficiency g‐C3N4 photocatalysts.  相似文献

The development of durable, low‐cost, and efficient photo‐/electrolysis for the oxygen and hydrogen evolution reactions (OER and HER) is important to fulfill increasing energy requirements. Herein, highly efficient and active photo‐/electrochemical catalysts, that is, CoMn‐LDH@g‐C3N4 hybrids, have been synthesized successfully through a facile in situ co‐precipitation method at room temperature. The CoMn‐LDH@g‐C3N4 composite exhibits an obvious OER electrocatalytic performance with a current density of 40 mA cm?2 at an overpotential of 350 mV for water oxidation, which is 2.5 times higher than pure CoMn‐LDH nanosheets. For HER, CoMn‐LDH@g‐C3N4 (η50=?448 mV) requires a potential close to Pt/C (η50=?416 mV) to reach a current density of 50 mA cm2. Furthermore, under visible‐light irradiation, the photocurrent density of the CoMn‐LDH@g‐C3N4 composite is 0.227 mA cm?2, which is 2.1 and 3.8 time higher than pristine CoMn‐LDH (0.108 mA cm?2) and g‐C3N4 (0.061 mA cm?2), respectively. The CoMn‐LDH@g‐C3N4 composite delivers a current density of 10 mA cm?2 at 1.56 V and 100 mA cm?2 at 1.82 V for the overall water‐splitting reaction. Therefore, this work establishes the first example of pure CoMn‐LDH and CoMn‐LDH@g‐C3N4 hybrids as electrochemical and photoelectrochemical water‐splitting systems for both OER and HER, which may open a pathway to develop and explore other LDH and g‐C3N4 nanosheets as efficient catalysts for renewable energy applications.  相似文献

In this study, the photocatalytic activity of graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) synthesized via different precursors (urea, thiourea, and dicyandiamide) is investigated in the degradation process of tetracycline. Owing to the efficient charge separation and transfer, prolonged radiative lifetime of charge, large surface area, and nanosheet morphology, the urea‐derived g‐C3N4 exhibits superior photocatalytic activity for tetracycline degradation under visible‐light irradiation. This performance can compare with that of most reported g‐C3N4‐based composite photocatalysts. Through the time‐circle degradation experiment, the urea‐derived g‐C3N4 is found to have an excellent photocatalytic stability. The presence of NO3?, CH3COO?, Cl? and SO42? ions with the concentration of 10 mm inhibits the photocatalytic activity of urea‐derived g‐C3N4, where this inhibitory effect is more obvious for Cl? and SO42? ions. For the coexisting Cu2+, Ca2+, and Zn2+ ions, the Cu2+ ion exhibits a significantly higher inhibitory effect than Ca2+ and Zn2+ ions for tetracycline degradation. However, both the inhibitory and facilitating effects are observed in the presence of Fe3+ ion with different concentration. The h+, .OH and .O2? radicals are confirmed as major oxidation species and a possible photocatalytic mechanism is proposed in a urea‐derived g‐C3N4 reaction system. This study is of important significance to promote the large‐scale application of g‐C3N4 photocatalysts in antibiotic wastewater purification.  相似文献

The development of new promising metal‐free catalysts is of great significance for the electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Herein, a rationally assembled three‐dimensional (3D) architecture of 1D graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) nanoribbons with 2D graphene sheets has been developed by a one‐step hydrothermal method. Because of the multipathway of charge and mass transport, the hierarchically structured g‐C3N4 nanoribbon–graphene hybrids lead to a high electrocatalytic ability for HER with a Tafel slope of 54 mV decade?1, a low onset overpotential of 80 mV and overpotential of 207 mV to approach a current of 10 mA cm?2, superior to those non‐metal materials and well‐developed metallic catalysts reported previously. This work presents a great advance for designing and developing highly efficient metal‐free catalyst for hydrogen evolution.  相似文献

As a metal‐free nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) photocatalyst, g‐C3N4 is available from a scalable synthesis at low cost. Importantly, it can be readily functionalized to enhance photocatalytic activities. However, the use of g‐C3N4‐based photocatalysts for the NRR has been questioned because of the elusive mechanism and the involvement of N defects. This work reports the synthesis of a g‐C3N4 photocatalyst modified with cyano groups and intercalated K+ (mCNN), possessing extended visible‐light harvesting capacity and superior photocatalytic NRR activity (NH3 yield: 3.42 mmol g?1 h?1). Experimental and theoretical studies suggest that the ‐C≡N in mCNN can be regenerated through a pathway analogous to Mars van Krevelen process with the aid of the intercalated K+. The results confirm that the regeneration of the cyano group not only enhances photocatalytic activity and sustains the catalytic cycle, but also stabilizes the photocatalyst.  相似文献

Graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4)‐based photocatalysts have received considerable attention in the field of photocatalysis, especially for photocatalytic H2 evolution. However, the intrinsic disadvantages of g‐C3N4 seriously limit its practical application. Herein, CdS nanospheres with an average diameter of 135 nm prepared using a solvothermal method were used as co‐catalysts to form CdS/g‐C3N4 composites (CSCN) to enhance the photocatalytic activity. Various techniques were employed to characterize the structure, composition and optical properties of the as‐prepared samples. It was found that the CdS nanospheres were relatively uniformly dispersed on the surface of g‐C3N4. Moreover, the photocatalytic H2 generation activity of the samples was evaluated using lactic acid as sacrificial reagent in water under visible light irradiation. When the amount of CdS nanospheres loaded in the hybridized composites was 5 wt%, the optimal H2 evolution rate reached 924 μmol g?1 h?1, which was approximately 1.4 times higher than that (680 μmol g?1 h?1) of Pt/g‐C3N4 (3 wt%). Based on the results of analysis, a possible mechanism for the photocatalytic activity of CSCN is proposed tentatively.  相似文献

Photodeposition has been widely used as a mild and efficient synthetic method to deposit co‐catalysts. It is also worth studying how to synthesize non‐noble metal photocatalysts with uniform dispersion. Different synthetic conditions in photodeposition have a certain influence on particle size distribution and photocatalytic activity. Therefore, we designed experiments to prepare the inexpensive composite photocatalyst Ni(OH)2/g‐C3N4 by photodeposition. The Ni(OH)2 co‐catalysts disperse uniformly with particle sizes of about 10 nm. The photocatalytic hydrogen production rate of Ni(OH)2/g‐C3N4 reached about 19 mmol g?1 h?1, with the Ni(OH)2 deposition amount about 1.57 %. During 16 h stability testing, the rate of hydrogen production did not decrease significantly. The composite catalyst also revealed a good hydrogen production performance under sunlight. The Ni(OH)2 co‐catalyst enhanced the separation ability of photogenerated carriers, which was proved by surface photovoltage and fluorescence analysis.  相似文献

Proton adsorption on metallic catalysts is a prerequisite for efficient hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). However, tuning proton adsorption without perturbing metallicity remains a challenge. A Schottky catalyst based on metal–semiconductor junction principles is presented. With metallic MoB, the introduction of n‐type semiconductive g‐C3N4 induces a vigorous charge transfer across the MoB/g‐C3N4 Schottky junction, and increases the local electron density in MoB surface, confirmed by multiple spectroscopic techniques. This Schottky catalyst exhibits a superior HER activity with a low Tafel slope of 46 mV dec?1 and a high exchange current density of 17 μA cm?2, which is far better than that of pristine MoB. First‐principle calculations reveal that the Schottky contact dramatically lowers the kinetic barriers of both proton adsorption and reduction coordinates, therefore benefiting surface hydrogen generation.  相似文献

In this work, graphitic C3N4 decorated with a CoP co‐catalyst (g‐C3N4/CoP) is reported for photocatalytic H2 evolution reaction based on two‐step hydrothermal and phosphidation method. The structure of g‐C3N4/CoP is well confirmed by XRD, FTIR, TEM, XPS, and UV/Vis diffuse reflection spectra techniques. When the weight percentage of CoP loading is 3.4 wt % (g‐C3N4/CoP‐3.4 %), the highest H2 evolution amount of 8.4×102 μmol g−1 is obtained, which is 1.1×103 times than that over pure g‐C3N4. This value also is comparable with that of g‐C3N4 loaded by the same amount of Pt. In cycling experiments, g‐C3N4/CoP‐3.4 % shows a stable photocatalytic activity. In addition, g‐C3N4/CoP‐3.4 % is an efficient photocatalyst for H2 evolution under irradiation with natural solar light. Based on comparative photoluminescence emission spectra, photoelectrochemical I –t curves, EIS Nyquist plots, and polarization curves between g‐C3N4/CoP‐3.4 % and pure g‐C3N4, it is concluded that the presence of the CoP co‐catalyst accelerates the separation and transfer of photogenerated electrons of g‐C3N4, thus resulting in improved photocatalytic activity in the H2 evolution reaction.  相似文献

2D graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) nanosheets are a promising negative electrode candidate for sodium‐ion batteries (NIBs) owing to its easy scalability, low cost, chemical stability, and potentially high rate capability. However, intrinsic g‐C3N4 exhibits poor electronic conductivity, low reversible Na‐storage capacity, and insufficient cyclability. DFT calculations suggest that this could be due to a large Na+ ion diffusion barrier in the innate g‐C3N4 nanosheet. A facile one‐pot heating of a mixture of low‐cost urea and asphalt is strategically applied to yield stacked multilayer C/g‐C3N4 composites with improved Na‐storage capacity (about 2 times higher than that of g‐C3N4, up to 254 mAh g?1), rate capability, and cyclability. A C/g‐C3N4 sodium‐ion full cell (in which sodium rhodizonate dibasic is used as the positive electrode) demonstrates high Coulombic efficiency (ca. 99.8 %) and a negligible capacity fading over 14 000 cycles at 1 A g?1.  相似文献

g‐C3N4 membranes were modulated by intercalating molecules with SO3H and benzene moieties between layers. The intercalation molecules break up the tightly stacking structure of g‐C3N4 laminates successfully and accordingly the modified g‐C3N4 membranes give rise to two orders magnitude higher water permeances without sacrificing the separation efficiency. The sulfonated poly(2,6‐dimethyl‐1,4‐phenylene oxide) (SPPO)/g‐C3N4 with a thickness of 350 nm presents an exceptionally high water permeance of 8867 L h?1 m?2 bar?1 and 100 % rejection towards methyl blue, while the original g‐C3N4 membrane with a thickness of 226 nm only exhibits a permeance of 60 L h?1 m?2 bar?1. Simultaneously, SO3H sites firmly anchor nitrogen with base functionality distributing onto g‐C3N4 through acid–base interactions. This enables the nanochannels of g‐C3N4 based membranes to be stabilized in acid, basic, and also high‐pressure environments for long periods.  相似文献

Heterojunctions of g‐C3N4/Al2O3 (g‐C3N4=graphitic carbon nitride) are constructed by an in situ one‐pot hydrothermal route based on the development of photoactive γ‐Al2O3 semiconductor with a mesoporous structure and a high surface area (188 m2g?1) acting as electron acceptor. A structure modification function of g‐C3N4 for Al2O3 in the hydrothermal process is found, which can be attributed to the coordination between unoccupied orbitals of the Al ions and lone‐pair electrons of the N atoms. The as‐synthesized heterojunctions exhibit much higher photocatalytic activity than pure g‐C3N4. The hydrogen generation rate and the reaction rate constant for the degradation of methyl orange over 50 % g‐C3N4/Al2O3 under visible‐light irradiation (λ>420 nm) are 2.5 and 7.3 times, respectively, higher than those over pristine g‐C3N4. The enhanced activity of the heterojunctions is attributed to their large specific surface areas, their close contact, and the high interfacial areas between the components as well as their excellent adsorption performance, and efficient charge transfer ability.  相似文献

Herein, a novel broken case‐like carbon‐doped g‐C3N4 photocatalyst was obtained via a facile one‐pot pyrolysis and cost‐effective method using glyoxal‐modified melamine as a precursor. The obtained carbon/g‐C3N4 photocatalyst showed remarkable enhanced photocatalytic activity in the degradation of gaseous benzene compared with that of pristine g‐C3N4 under visible light. The pseudo‐first‐order rate constant for gaseous benzene degradation on carbon/g‐C3N4 was 0.186 hr?1, 5.81 times as large as that of pristine g‐C3N4. Furthermore, a possible photocatalytic mechanism for the improved photocatalytic performance over carbon/g‐C3N4 nanocomposites was proposed.  相似文献

A porous graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4)/graphene composite was prepared by a simple hydrothermal method and explored as the counter electrode of dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSCs). The obtained g‐C3N4/graphene composite was characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, FTIR spectroscopy, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results show that incorporating graphene nanosheets into g‐C3N4 forms a three‐dimensional architecture with a high surface area, porous structure, efficient electron‐transport network, and fast charge‐transfer kinetics at the g‐C3N4/graphene interfaces. These properties result in more electrocatalytic active sites and facilitate electrolyte diffusion and electron transport in the porous framework. As a result, the as‐prepared porous g‐C3N4/graphene composite exhibits an excellent electrocatalytic activity. In I?/I3? redox electrolyte, the charge‐transfer resistance of the porous g‐C3N4/graphene composite electrode is 1.8 Ω cm2, which is much lower than those of individual g‐C3N4 (70.1 Ω cm2) and graphene (32.4 Ω cm2) electrodes. This enhanced electrocatalytic performance is beneficial for improving the photovoltaic performance of DSCs. By employing the porous g‐C3N4/graphene composite as the counter electrode, the DSC achieves a conversion efficiency of 7.13 %. This efficiency is comparable to 7.37 % for a cell with a platinum counter electrode.  相似文献

Graphite carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) is a promising candidate for photocatalytic hydrogen production, but only shows moderate activity owing to sluggish photocarrier transfer and insufficient light absorption. Herein, carbon quantum dots (CQDs) implanted in the surface plane of g‐C3N4 nanotubes were synthesized by thermal polymerization of freeze‐dried urea and CQDs precursor. The CQD‐implanted g‐C3N4 nanotubes (CCTs) could simultaneously facilitate photoelectron transport and suppress charge recombination through their specially coupled heterogeneous interface. The electronic structure and morphology were optimized in the CCTs, contributing to greater visible light absorption and a weakened barrier of the photocarrier transfer. As a result, the CCTs exhibited efficient photocatalytic performance under light irradiation with a high H2 production rate of 3538.3 μmol g?1 h?1 and a notable quantum yield of 10.94 % at 420 nm.  相似文献

A stable noble‐metal‐free hydrogen evolution photocatalyst based on graphite carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) was developed by a molecular‐level design strategy. Surface functionalization was successfully conducted to introduce a single nickel active site onto the surface of the semiconducting g‐C3N4. This catalyst family (with less than 0.1 wt % of Ni) has been found to produce hydrogen with a rate near to the value obtained by using 3 wt % platinum as co‐catalyst. This new catalyst also exhibits very good stability under hydrogen evolution conditions, without any evidence of deactivation after 24 h.  相似文献

Graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) has been widely used in fields related to energy and materials science. However, nanostructured g‐C3N4 photocatalysts synthesized by traditional thermal polycondensation methods have the disadvantage of small specific surface areas and wide band gaps; these limit the catalytic activity and application range of g‐C3N4. Based on the unique nanostructure of g‐C3N4, it is a feasible method to modify g‐C3N4 with metals to design novel metal–semiconductor composites. Metals alter the photochemical properties of g‐C3N4, in particular, narrow the band gap and expand photoabsorption into the visible range, which improves the photocatalytic performance. This review covers recent progress in metal/g‐C3N4 nanocomposites for photocatalysts, organic systems, biosensors, and so on. The aim is to summarize the synthetic methods, nanostructures, and applications of metal/g‐C3N4 nanocomposite materials, as well as discuss future research directions in these areas.  相似文献

In this work, g‐C3N4, CuO and g‐C3N4/CuO?X (where × can be 3, 6, or 9) were synthesized through hydrothermal and calcination methods and used to fabricate photoelectrochemical (PEC) aptasensor for detection of bisphenol A (BPA). CuO nanoparticles covered with g‐C3N4 were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The aptasensor based on g‐C3N4/CuO‐6 possessed high PEC activity due to its good conductivity and low electron recombination rate. PEC experiments demonstrate that the aptasensor based on g‐C3N4/CuO‐6 exhibits a broad linear range towards BPA from 0.02–10 ng L?1 and 50–1200 ng L?1 and reveals superior stability, selectivity and repeatability. Thus, g‐C3N4/CuO‐6 composite is a promising material for the determination of BPA in PEC field and has commercially viable.  相似文献
