A recently derived approach to the tensor reduction of 5-point one-loop Feynman integrals expresses the tensor coefficients by scalar 1-point to 4-point Feynman integrals completely algebraically. In this Letter we derive extremely compact algebraic expressions for the contractions of the tensor integrals with external momenta. This is based on sums over signed minors weighted with scalar products of the external momenta. With these contractions one can construct the invariant amplitudes of the matrix elements under consideration, and the evaluation of one-loop contributions to massless and massive multi-particle production at high energy colliders like LHC and ILC is expected to be performed very efficiently. 相似文献

We reduce all the most complicated Feynman integrals in two-loop five-light-parton scattering amplitudes to basic master integrals, while other integrals can be reduced even easier. Our results are expressed as systems of linear relations in the block-triangular form, very efficient for numerical calculations. Our results are crucial for complete next-to-next-to-leading order quantum chromodynamics calculations for three-jet, photon, and/or hadron production at hadron colliders. To determine the block-triangular relations, we develop an efficient and general method, which may provide a practical solution to the bottleneck problem of reducing multiloop multiscale integrals. 相似文献

At 2-loop order, Feynman integrals in the Coulomb gauge are divergent over the internal energy variables. Nevertheless, it is known how to calculate the effective action, provided that the external gluon fields are all transverse. We show that, for the two-gluon Greens function as an example, the method can be extended to include longitudinal external fields. The longitudinal Greens functions appear in the BRST identities. As an intermediate step, we use a flow gauge, which interpolates between the Feynman and Coulomb gauges. 相似文献

We evaluate a Laurent expansion in dimensional regularization parameter ?=(4−d)/2 of all the master integrals for four-loop massless propagators up to weight twelve, using a recently developed method of one of the present coauthors (R.L.) and extending thereby results by Baikov and Chetyrkin obtained at weight seven. We observe only multiple zeta values in our results. Therefore, we conclude that all the four-loop massless propagator integrals, with any integer powers of numerators and propagators, have only multiple zeta values in their epsilon expansions up to weight twelve. 相似文献

We present the analytic calculation of two-loop master integrals that are relevant for tW production at hadron colliders. We focus on the integral families with only one massive propagator. After selecting a canonical basis, the differential equations for the master integrals can be transformed into the d ln form. The boundaries are determined by simple direct integrations or regularity conditions at kinematic points without physical singularities. The analytical results in this work are expressed in terms of multiple polylogarithms, and have been checked via numerical computations. 相似文献

The chessboard model is reviewed and reformulated as a four-state process. In this formulation both the Dirac propagator of the chessboard model and the partition function of the associated Ising chain are observed to be projections of a single matrix of partition functions onto two orthogonal eigenspaces. We use the holonomic character of Feynman integrals to describe their singularity structure explicitly in some simple cases. The results in §1 show that under moderate conditions Feynman amplitudes can be locally expressed essentially in terms of Legendre functions near the points where two positive- Landau-Nakanishi surfaces meet. Related topics such as hierarchical principle in perturbation theory are also discussed in terms of holonomic systems involved. with it. The history of superconductivity can be traced back to Michael Faraday and the first liquefaction of a gas in 1823.
It is a heroic tale of triumph over cold and resistance, and once the phenomenon was actually discovered in 1911, it would
take almost 50 years more before a satisfactory explanation emerged. Although Richard Feynman only authored one published
paper on the subject, he worked prodigiously on the problem through much of the 1950s, and his competitors, particularly Bardeen,

Based on the recently found closed-form expressions of the Boltzmann collision integrals in a rigid-sphere gas for multi-Maxwellian distributions, a few typical sets of contour surfaces of the integrals in the space of molecular velocities are presented. We review the double asymptotic scaling phenomenon for the structure functions of the deepinelastic scattering process. We
present an analytical parameterization of the contributions from the twist-two operators of the Wilson operator product expansion
and power suppressed terms. Higher twist corrections to F
2 at small x are studied for the case of a flat initial condition for the twist-two QCD evolution in the next-to-leading order approximation.
Higher twist terms are estimated using two different approaches: one motivated by BFKL and the other motivated by the renormalon
formalism. The results of the latter approach are in very good agreement with deep inelastic scattering data from HERA.
