We discuss how a dominant tetraquark component of the lightest scalar mesons may emerge in AdS/QCD gravity duals. In particular, we show that the exceptionally strong binding required to render the tetraquark ground state lighter than the lowest-lying scalar quark–antiquark nonet can be holographically encoded into bulk-mass corrections for the tetraquark's dual mode. The latter are argued to originate from the anomalous dimension of the corresponding four-quark interpolator. To provide a concrete example, we implement this mechanism into the dilaton soft-wall dual for holographic QCD. Preventing the lowest-lying dual mode from collapsing into the AdS boundary then establishes a rather generic lower bound on the tetraquark mass (which may be overcome in the presence of additional background fields). We further demonstrate that the higher tetraquark excitations can become heavier than their quark–antiquark counterparts and are thus likely to dissolve into the multiparticle continuum.  相似文献

In this paper we present a short overview on the dynamical holographic QCD (DhQCD) method for hadron physics and QCD matter. The five-dimensional DhQCD model is constructed in the graviton-dilaton-scalar framework with the dilaton background field Φ and the scalar field X dual to the gluon condensate and the chiral condensate operator thus can represent the gluodynamics (linear confinement) and chiral dynamics (chiral symmetry breaking), respectively. The dilaton background field and the scalar field are a function of the 5th dimension, which plays the role of the energy scale, in this way, the DhQCD model can resemble the renormalization group from ultraviolet (UV) to infrared (IR). By solving the Einstein equation, the metric structure at IR is automatically deformed by the nonperturbative gluon condensation and chiral condensation in the vacuum. We review the results on the hadron spectra including the glueball spectra, the light/heavy meson spectra, as well as on QCD phase transitions, and thermodynamical as well as transport properties in the framework of the DhQCD model.  相似文献

We analyze the finite temperature behavior of the Sakai-Sugimoto model, which is a holographic dual of a theory which spontaneously breaks a U(Nf)L × U(Nf)R chiral flavor symmetry at zero temperature. The theory involved is a 4 + 1 dimensional supersymmetric SU(Nc) gauge theory compactified on a circle of radius R with anti-periodic boundary conditions for fermions, coupled to Nf left-handed quarks and Nf right-handed quarks which are localized at different points on the compact circle (separated by a distance L). In the supergravity limit which we analyze (corresponding in particular to the large Nc limit of the gauge theory), the theory undergoes a deconfinement phase transition at a temperature Td = 1/2πR. For quark separations obeying L > Lc ? 0.97 ∗ R the chiral symmetry is restored at this temperature, but for L < Lc ? 0.97 ∗ R there is an intermediate phase which is deconfined with broken chiral symmetry, and the chiral symmetry is restored at TχSB ? 0.154/L. All of these phase transitions are of first order.  相似文献

We investigate the AdS/QCD duality for the two-point correlation functions of the lowest dimension scalar meson and scalar glueball operators,in the case of the Soft Wall holographic model of QCD.Masses and decay constants as well as gluon condensates are compared to their QCD estimates. In particular, the role of the boundary conditions for the bulk-to-boundary propagators is emphasized.  相似文献

We improve upon recent holographic predictions for the nucleon and delta resonance spectra and show how they emerge from a straightforward extension of the “metric soft wall” AdS/QCD dual. The resulting mass formula depends on a single adjustable parameter, characterizing confinement-induced IR deformations of the anti-de Sitter metric, and on the fraction of “good” (i.e. maximally attractive) diquarks in the baryon's quark model wave function. Despite their manifest simplicity, the predicted spectra describe the masses of all 48 observed light-quark baryon states and the underlying, linear trajectory structure with unprecedented accuracy.  相似文献

In the bottom-up approach to AdS/QCD based on a five-dimensional gravity dilaton action the exponential of the dilaton field is usually identified as the strong or 't Hooft coupling. There is currently no model known which fits the measurements of the running coupling and lattice results for pressure at the same time. With a one parametric toy model we demonstrate the effect of fitting the pressure on the coupling and vice versa.  相似文献

Light-front holography leads to a rigorous connection between hadronic amplitudes in a higher dimensional anti-de Sitter(AdS) space and frame-independent light-front wavefunctions of hadrons in(3 + 1)-dimensional physical space-time,thus providing a compelling physical interpretation of the AdS/CFT correspondence principle and AdS/QCD,a useful framework which describes the correspondence between theories in a modified AdS 5 background and confining field theories in physical space-time.To a first semiclassical approximation, where quantum loops and quark masses are not included, this approach leads to a single-variable light-front Schro¨dinger equation which determines the eigenspectrum and the light-front wavefunctions of hadrons for general spin and orbital angular momentum. The coordinate z in AdS space is uniquely identified with a Lorentz-invariant coordinate ζ which measures the separation of the constituents within a hadron at equal light-front time. The internal structure of hadrons is explicitly introduced and the angular momentum of the constituents plays a key role.We give an overview of the light-front holographic approach to strongly coupled QCD.In particular,we study the photon-to-meson transition form factors(TFFs) FMγ(Q 2) for γ→ M using light-front holographic methods. The results for the TFFs for the η and η ' mesons are also presented. Some novel features of QCD are discussed, including the consequences of confinement for quark and gluon condensates.A method for computing the hadronization of quark and gluon jets at the amplitude level is outlined.  相似文献

Calculation of disconnected quark loops in lattice QCD is very time consuming. Stochastic noise methods are generally used to estimate these loops. However, stochastic estimation gives large errors in the calculations of disconnected diagrams. We use the symmetric multi-probing source(SMP) method to estimate the disconnected quark loops, and compare the results with the Z(2) noise method and the spin-color explicit(SCE) method on a quenched lattice QCD ensemble with lattice volume 12~3× 24 and lattice spacing a ≈ 0.1 fm.. The results show that the SMP method is very suitable for the calculation of pseudoscalar disconnected quark loops. However, the SMP and SCE methods do not have an obvious advantage over the Z(2) noise method in the evaluation of the scalar disconnected loops.  相似文献

We build holographic p-wave conductor(insulator)/superconductor models via the numerical method with a new form of Weyl coupling in five-dimensional Lifshitz gravity, and then investigate how the Weyl coupling parameter γ and the Lifshitz scaling parameter z affect the superconductor models. In the conductor/superconductor model, an increase in the Weyl correction(Lifshitz scaling)enhances(inhibits) the superconductor phase transition. Meanwhile, both the Weyl correction(when the Lifshitz parameter is large enough and fixed) and the Lifshitz scaling suppress the growth of the real part of the conductivity. The Weyl correction used here(CB~2) shows weaker effects on the critical value than the previous Weyl correction(CF~2). In the insulator/superconductor model, larger vaules of the Weyl parameter hinder the formation of condensate. However, in increase in the Lifshitz scaling enhances the appearance of condensate. In addition, the calculation suggests that a competitive relation may exist between the Weyl correction and the Lifshitz scaling.  相似文献

The heavy quarkonium spectrum of Two Color QCD (QC2D) at non-zero quark chemical potential μ and temperature T   with μ/T?1μ/T?1 has been calculated in both S- and P-wave channels using a lattice non-relativistic formulation of QC2D. As μ is varied, the quarkonium spectra reveal three separate regions, corroborating previous findings that there are three distinct physical regimes of QC2D at low temperature and high baryon density: hadronic matter, quark/quarkyonic matter, and deconfined matter. The results are interpreted in terms of the formation of heavy-light Qq states in the two-color baryonic medium.  相似文献
