A collective adiabatic approach is used to explore the total and differential cross sections for the reactions d + dp + 3H and d + dn + 3He at incident-deuteron energies of up to 6 MeV. All substantially contributing partial waves of order not higher than that of G waves are taken into account. The experimental value of the difference of the cross sections for the above mirror reactions is reproduced theoretically under the assumption that nuclear forces obey the condition of isotopic invariance. The positions and amplitudes of the maxima in the calculated total cross sections virtually coincide with those of the corresponding experimental values. It is shown that, around the maxima of the cross sections under study, dominant contributions to them come from the P wave. The sensitivity of observables to the parameters of nucleon-nucleon interaction is analyzed.  相似文献

Taking into account the n interaction, a nonrelativistic graphical technique is used to calculate the differential cross section of the reaction d K+ n as a function of photon energy, K+-momentum, and angle of emission of the K+. The spin structure of the nucleon charge-exchange process n + pp + n is investigated. Analysis shows that the spin-dependent part of the differential cross section of the process n + pp + n at zero angle, which is proportional to the differential cross section of the deuteron charge-exchange breakup d + p → (pp) + n in the “forward” direction, plays the predominant role in the wide range of neutron momenta.  相似文献

The energy and angular distributions of deuterons from the D + D → p + n + d reaction are experimentally and theoretically studied. The experiment is conducted on the U-240 cyclotron at the Institute for Nuclear Research in an extracted beam of deuterons with energy E D = 36.9 MeV. A theoretical analysis has been performed using the microscopic diffraction nuclear model, within which the final-state interaction is considered and simple expressions for internal wave functions and approximations that include quasibinary mechanisms are employed.  相似文献

Solar neutrinos from the decay of 8B have been detected at the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) via the charged current (CC) reaction on deuterium and by the elastic scattering (ES) of electrons. The CC reaction is sensitive exclusively to ν e, while the ES reaction also has a small sensitivity to ν μ and ν τ. The flux of ν e from 8B decay measured by the CC reaction rate is φ CC(ν e )=[1.75±0.07(stat.) ?0.11 +0.12 (syst.)×0.05(theor.)]×106cm?2s?1. Assuming no flavor transformation, the flux inferred from the ES reaction rate is φ ES(ν x )=[2.39±0.34(stat.) ?0.14 +0.16 (syst.)]×106cm?2s?1. Comparison of φ CC(ν e) to the Super-Kamiokande collaboration’s precision value of φ ES(ν x) yields a 3.3σ difference, assuming the systematic uncertainties are normally distributed, providing evidence that there is a nonelectron flavor active neutrino component in the solar flux. The total flux of active 8B neutrinos is thus determined to be (5.44±0.99)×106 cm?2 s?1, in close agreement with the predictions of solar models.  相似文献

The radiative capture process n + pd + γ provides clear evidence for meson exchange currents in nuclear physics. We compute this process at low energies using a recently developed power counting for the effective field theory that describes nucleon-nucleon interactions. The leading order contribution to this process comes from the photon coupling to the nucleon magnetic moments. At subleading order there are other contributions. Among these are graphs where the photon couples directly to pions, i.e. meson exchange currents. These diagrams are divergent and require the presence of a local four-nucleon-one-photon counterterm. The coefficient of this operator is determined by the measured cross section, σexpt = 334.2±0.5 mb, for incident neutrons with speed |v| = 2200 m/s.  相似文献

A new mechanism for heating the electron component of plasmas formed upon the application of a superintense ultrashort laser pulse to atomic clusters is proposed. Clusters considered here consist of deuterium atoms. Upon the emission of a large number of electrons, an irradiated cluster, which acquires a positive charge, explodes (Coulomb explosion). Deuterons that are ejected as the result of this possess high kinetic energies, so that collisions between them can result in 3He formation accompanied by neutron emission. The new mechanism of the heating of the electron plasma from clusters is based on the conjecture that, when an ionization electron is reflected from the inner surface of the cluster ion in the presence of a laser field, it predominantly absorbs (rather than emits) laser photons.  相似文献

Experimental values of the differential cross section for the reactionn+dπ 0+t at large angles (θ?50°) in the neutron energy range 460–560 MeV and the known values of the coupling constants \(G_{nn\pi ^O }^2 \) andG tdn 2 are used to predictdσ/dΩ at smaller angles. Polarization effects in the inclusive process e + p e + + X due to the neutral current are studied in the framework of the Weinberg-Salam model. Expressions for the asymmetry parameters and the degree of circular polarization of the photons are obtained in the quark-parton picture. The e + e ? → ω, ρ → π0 e + e ? processes have been investigated in the experiments with Spherical Neutral Detector at the VEPP-2M e + e ? collider. The measurements provide the probability ?(ω → π0 e + e ?) = (0.761 ± 0.053 ± 0.064) × 10?3 of the ω → π0 e + e g- conversion decay and the upper limit ?(ρ → π0 e + e ?) < 1.2 × 10?5 (at 90% CL) for the ρ → π0 e + e ? decay. The reaction e+e → ηπ+π has been studied with the Neutral Detector in the CM energy range 1.05–1.40 GeV at VEPP-2M. At the maximum energy the cross section exceeds the prediction of the vector dominance with one ϱ(770). The following upper limits for the electron width times branching ratio into ηπ+π have been obtained for a resonance with a mass of 1.28 GeV and width of 0.08 GeV observed with the Omega-spectrometer at CERN: Λee·Bηππ < 9 eV, and for a ϱ′(1250) with a mass of 1.26 GeV and width of 0.125 GeV: Λee·Bηππ < 14 eV at 90% confidence level.  相似文献

Using recent BABAR, CMD-3 and SND data, the sum of e + e ? → 3(π+π?), 2(π+π?π0), \(p\bar p\) , \(n\bar n\) cross sections is obtained. Unlike e + e ? 3(π+π?) and e + e ? → 2(π+π?π0) processes, no structures in total cross section are found near the \(N\bar N\) threshold within the limits of measurement errors.  相似文献
