We re-evaluate the non-perturbative contribution to the thrust distribution in e + e → hadrons, in the light of the latest experimental data and the recent NNLO perturbative calculation of this quantity. By extending the calculation to NNLO+NLL accuracy, we perform the most detailed study to date of the effects of non-perturbative physics on this observable. In particular, we investigate how well a model based on a low-scale QCD effective coupling can account for such effects. We find that the difference between the improved perturbative distribution and the experimental data is consistent with a 1/Q-dependent non-perturbative shift in the distribution, as predicted by the effective coupling model. Best fit values of α s (91.2 GeV)=0.1164−0.0026+0.0028 and α 0(2 GeV)=0.59±0.03 are obtained with χ 2/d.o.f.=1.09. This is consistent with NLO+NLL results but the quality of fit is improved. The agreement in α 0 is non-trivial because a part of the 1/Q-dependent contribution (the infrared renormalon) is included in the NNLO perturbative correction. Two kinds of general consequences of the ΔS=0 weak hadron neutral current independent of a gauge model are presented. Firstly are results which depend on the quark parton model. These involve bounds among neutrino inclusive cross-section and a bound onQ(Z, N) in terms of these inclusive cross-sections. Secondly are results which are independent of the quark-parton model and depend only on the SU(3) structure of the most general ΔS=0 neutral current. These tests of isopin and speciallyU-spin properties of the current are given forv+Nv+hadron+anything,v+Nv+baryon+meson ande + e →baryon+anti-baryon. In addition some conjectures are made with regard to the semi-inclusive neutrino-reactions using the quark parton model.  相似文献

The two-neutrino double beta decay of96Zr isotope for 0+ → 2+ transition has been studied in the PHFB model. In our earlier work, the reliability of the intrinsic wave functions of96Zr and96Mo isotopes has been established by obtaining an overall agreement between a number of theoretically calculated spectroscopic properties as well as half-lives of 2vββ decay for 0+ → 0+ transition and the available experimental data. In the present work, the half-life of 2vββ decay for 0+ ar 2+ transition T 1 2/2v (0+2+) has been calculated using the same set of intrinsic wave functions.  相似文献

The signs of the experimental values of the multipole-mixture parameters δ are compared with the signs of = Σa i μ i for (2+02−2+01) and (2+03−2+01) transitions and with the signs of = Σa i [(μ i + μ ) or (μ − 1/2)] for (2+21−2+01) transitions in nonspherical even-even nuclei, where a i is the contribution of the ith pair of quasiparticles to the wave function for 2+02, 2+03, and 2+21 single-phonon states according to the quasiparticle-phonon model and μ is the magnetic moment for the corresponding Nilsson state. We investigate the reaction ppda 0 + at COSY and SIS energies together with accompanying background reactions and inclusive particle yields. The a 0 + is considered as a usual u quark model state with two decay channels a 0 +K + and a 0 +↦π+η. Calculated cross-sections for a 0 + production as well as for the corresponding non-resonant channels ppdK + and ppdπ+η are compared. Especially, in case of the final channel dπ+η, high statistics measurements are necessary to extract the a 0 + signal from the high non-resonant background. Within the standard model, we investigate the semi-leptonic weak decays of J/ψ. The various form factors of J/ψ making the transition to a single charmed meson (D(*) (d,s)) are studied in the framework of QCD sum rules. These form factors fully determine the rates of the weak semi-leptonic decays of J/ψ and provide valuable information on non-perturbative QCD effects. Our results indicate that the decay rate of the semi-leptonic weak decay mode J/ψ→D(*)- s+e+e is at the order of 10-10. PACS 13.20.Gd; 13.25.Gv; 11.55.Hx  相似文献

In the QCD sum rule approach we predict the Λ (1405) mass by choosing the π0Σ0 multiquark interpolating field. It is found that the mass is about 1.419 GeV from Π1 (q 2) sum rule which is more reliable than Πq (q 2) sum rule, where Πq (q 2) and Π1 (q 2) are two invariant functions of the correlator Π (q 2). We also present the sum rules for the K + p and the π+Σ+ multiquark states, and compare to those for the π0Σ0 multiquark state. The mass of the Λ (1600) can be also reproduced in our approach. In a model-independent approach the data on ππ → ππ, K $ \bar K $ \bar K , ηη, ηη′ in the I G J PC = 0+0++ channel and on the Kπ scattering in the $ I\left( {J^P } \right) = \frac{1} {2}\left( {0^ + } \right) $ I\left( {J^P } \right) = \frac{1} {2}\left( {0^ + } \right) channel are analyzed jointly for studying the status and QCD nature of the f 0- and the K*0-mesons. It is shown that in the 1500-MeV region, there are two states, wide (interpreted as a glueball) and narrow (q $ \bar q $ \bar q ). In the Kπ-scattering data analysis, the proof for the K*0(900) is given.  相似文献

The reaction pp + η has been measured at a beam energy of T p = 2.65 GeV (p p = 3.46 GeV/c) using the ANKE spectrometer at COSY-Julich. The missing-mass distribution of the detected + pairs exhibits a peak around the η mass on top of a strong background of multipion pp +() events. The differential cross section d 4 σ/dΩd dΩ π + dp d dp π + for the reaction pp + η has been determined model independently for two regions of phase space. Employing a dynamical model for the a 0 + production allows one then to deduce a total cross section of σ(ppda 0 + + η) = 1.1 ± 0.3stat ± 0.7syst μb for the production of π + η via the scalar a 0 + (980) resonance and σ(pp + η) = 3.5 ± 0.3stat ± 1.0syst μb for the nonresonant production. Using the same model as for the interpretation of recent results from ANKE for the reaction , the ratio of the total cross sections is , which is in agreement with branching ratios in the literature. Diffractive photoproduction of D(2010) mesons was measured with the ZEUS detector at the ep collider HERA, using an integrated luminosity of 78.6 pb-1. The D* mesons were reconstructed in the kinematic range: transverse momentum pT(D*) > 1.9 GeV and pseudorapidity |η(D*)|<1.6, using the decay D*+→D0π+ s followed by D0→K-π+(+c.c.). Diffractive events were identified by a large gap in pseudorapidity between the produced hadronic state and the outgoing proton. Cross sections are reported for photon–proton centre-of-mass energies in the range 130 < W < 300 GeV and for photon virtualities Q2 < 1 GeV2, in two ranges of the Pomeron fractional momentum xIP<0.035 and xIP<0.01. The relative contribution of diffractive events to the inclusive D(2010) photoproduction cross section is about 6%. The data are in agreement with perturbative QCD calculations based on various parameterisations of diffractive parton distribution functions. The results are consistent with diffractive QCD factorisation.  相似文献

Two-and three-channel analyses of experimental data on the coupled processes ππ → ππ, k, ηη in the channel with I G J PC = 0+0++ are carried out and discussed. In a model-independent approach, confirmation of the σ-meson below 1GeV and definite indications of the QCD nature of other f0 resonances are obtained. An assignment of the scalar mesons below 1.9 GeV to lower nonets is proposed.  相似文献

We discuss applications of the perturbative QCD approach in the exclusive non-leptonic two-bodyB-meson decays. We briefly review its ingredients and some important theoretical issues on the factorization approach. PQCD results are compatible with present experimental data for charmless B-meson decays. We predict the possibility of large direct CP asymmetry in B0 → π+π (23 +7%) and B0K +π (− 17 ± 5%). We also investigate the branching ratios, CP asymmetry and isospin symmetry breaking in radiativeB(K*/ρ)γ decays.  相似文献

The structure of Be and C isotopes are investigated based on the molecular-orbit (MO) model. The low-lying states are characterized by several configurations of valence neutrons, which are constructed as combinations of basic orbits. In 10Be, all of the observed positive-parity bands and the negative-parity bands are described within the model. The second 0+ state of 10Be has a large α-α cluster structure, and this is characterized by a (1/2+ σ)2 configuration. An enlargement of the α-α distance due to two-valence neutrons along the α-α axis makes their wave function smooth and reduces the kinetic energy drastically. Furthermore, the contribution of the spin-orbit interaction due to coupling between the S z = 0 and the S z = 1 configurations, is important. In the ground state of 12Be, the calculated energy exhibits similar characteristics, that the remarkable α clustering and the contribution of the spin-orbit interaction make the binding of the state with (3/2- π)2(1/2+ σ)2 configuration properly stronger in comparison with the closed p-shell (3/2- π)2(1/2- π)2 configuration. This is related to the breaking of the N = 8 (closed p-shell) neutron magic number. Also, the molecule-like structure of the C isotopes is investigated using a microscopic α+α+α+n+n+ . . . model. The combination of the valence neutrons in the π- and the σ-orbit is promising to stabilize the linear-chain state against the breathing and bending modes, and it is found that the excited states of 16C are the most promising candidates for such structure. Measurements of inclusive production of the Λ, Ξ- and Ξ*(1530) baryons in two-photon collisions with the L3 detector at LEP are presented. The inclusive differential cross sections for Λ and Ξ- are measured as a function of the baryon transverse momentum, pt, and pseudo-rapidity, η. The mean number of Λ, Ξ- and Ξ*(1530) baryons per hadronic two-photon event is determined in the kinematic range 0.4 GeV<pt<2.5 GeV, |η|<1.2. Overall agreement with the theoretical models and Monte Carlo predictions is observed. A search for inclusive production of the pentaquark θ+(1540) in two-photon collisions through the decay θ+→pK0 S is also presented. No evidence for production of this state is found.  相似文献

The two-neutrino double-beta decay of 124, 126Xe , 128, 130Te , 130, 132Ba and 150Nd isotopes is studied in the Projected Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (PHFB) model. Theoretical 2ν β-β- half-lives of 128, 130Te , and 150Nd isotopes, and 2ν β+β+ , 2ν β+ EC and 2ν ECEC for 124, 126Xe and 130, 132Ba nuclei are presented. Calculated quadrupolar transition probabilities B(E2 : 0+ → 2+) , static quadrupole moments and g -factors in the parent and daughter nuclei reproduce the experimental information, validating the reliability of the model wave functions. The anticorrelation between nuclear deformation and the nuclear transition matrix element M is confirmed.  相似文献

We study the production of meson resonance atpT≥2 GeV/c inπ Be interactions at two beam energies (150 and 300 GeV/c). The motivation is to look for the higher twist (HT) production mechanism, expected to exist besides standard hadron production through the fragmentation process of scattered quarks and gluons, the so-called leading twist (LT) mechanism. We show that the φ, K*0 (892) andK*0 (892) are found free from HT effects with a good accuracy, as expected from HT estimates and QCD sum rules. The magnitudes of thef 2(1270) andρ 0 mesons signals are found larger than expected from the standard Lund (LT) Monte Carlo and from information provided bye + e annihilation experiments. The possible connection of these excesses with HT physics is discussed. We also report the first evidence for the production off 0(975) mesons in hadronic experiments at largep T.  相似文献

The experimental data from the 2-m propane bubble chamber have been analyzed for pC → Λ(K s 0 )X reactions at 10 GeV/c. The estimation of experimental inclusive cross sections for Λ and K s 0 production in the p 12C collision is equal to σΛ = (13.3 ± 1.7) mb and σ K s 0 = (4.6 ± 0.6) mb, respectively. The measured 〈Λ〉/〈π+〉 ratio from pC reaction is equal to (5.3 ± 0.8) × 10−2, and it is approximately two times larger than the 〈Λ〉/〈π+〉 ratio simulated by the FRITIOF model and than that of experimental pp reactions at the same energy. The partial capture rates for the process,μ +16O (g·s) →16N (2, 1, 0, 3) +v μ have been calculated using the particle-hole wavefunctions obtained using self-consistent procedure. In deriving these wavefunctions, the effectiveN-N interaction has been constructed from the bare Hamada-Johnston interaction. The terms in the muon capture Hamiltonian that depend on the momentum of the capturing proton have been included and their importance in 0+ → 0 transition is exhibited. The agreement with the available experimental data is good. The need to incorporate meson exchange effects in 0+ → 0 transition is pointed out.  相似文献

The nuclear reaction dynamics leading to the formation of recently discovered resonance in the mutual-02 + channel of the 12C+12C inelastic scattering around E c.m.≃ 32 MeV is studied in terms of the dynamic polarization potential (DPP) induced by the channel coupling among various excited states in 12C. The microscopic 3α cluster-model wave functions are used to generate the 12C−12C diagonal and coupling potentials in the double-folding model. It is found that DPP for the 02 ++ 02 + channel is an unusually strong attractive potential which even exceeds the zeroth-order folding-model potential of this channel around the nuclear surface region and that the strong coupling between the 02 + and 22 + states is predominantly responsible for the unusual DPP in this channel. The effective potential, the sum of the original folding-model potential and the attractive DPP, is found to generates resonance states in the same energy region as that of the resonance states generated by the original folding-model potential but the former states are found to be higher-nodal states having four additional radial nodes. Similar but more moderate property of DPP is also found in the entrance (elastic) channel. These results suggest that the reaction dynamics of generating the resonance in the 12C(02 +) +12C(02 +) channel may rather differ from that of the simple crossing of the zeroth-order molecular band generated by the potentials in the entrance and exit channels suggested by the standard band-crossing model.
