A new generalized solitary solution of the Jaulent-Miodek equations is obtained using the Exp-function method. By a transformation, the solitary solution can be easily converted into a generalized compacton-like solution. A new solution to the problem of light scattering by multilayered particles possessing axial symmetry is obtained. Two methods are applied for this purpose. One is the separation of variables method with expansion of fields in terms of spherical wave functions, and the other is a novel approach based on the separation of fields into axisymmetric and nonaxisymmetric parts and on the choice of specific scalar potentials for each of them. A specific feature of the new solution is that the dimension of truncated linear algebraic systems used for determining unknown expansion coefficients of fields does not increase with an increasing number of layers. Using double-and three-layer spheroidal and Chebyshev particles of different shape and size as examples, the domain of applicability of the solution presented is compared with that of the solution previously obtained by the extended boundary conditions method. Except for nearly spherical particles, the solution presented is shown to be more favorable than the previously obtained solution. 相似文献

The Planck's formula connecting an energy and frequency of quantum is known more than half-century. However there are obscure appearances and processes defining nature of the electromagnetic field quantum and reducing to this formula. The path to a solution of these problems uncloses a new solution of a problem of the dipole radiation. Hertz obtained the first solution describing of a dipole radiator field. However this solution and all subsequent ones are incomplete and they not give a complete exposition of the dipole field. In this paper we will show a possibility of complete exposition of a dipole radiator field by using both a complete set of the electromagnetic field equations obtained in [1] and also solution for a radiator of a longitudinal electromagnetic wave. The obtained solution is of great importance in understanding of a nature of quantum properties of electromagnetic field. A Lévy type solution is developed for the vibratory response of a simply supported rectangular plate subjected to a harmonic force distributed along the diagonal. The solution is then extended to determine the free vibration response of the same rectangular plate with inelastic lateral support on the diagonal. It is found that there is an excellent agreement between computed eigenvalues obtained here and those obtained by the author in an earlier paper in which a Navier type solution was utilized. The diffusive particle propagation and its pitch angle scattering is studied using kinetic equation of the Fokker-Planck form. The case is considered when charged particles preferable propagate along the strong mean magnetic field direction and undergo the pitch angle scattering with respect to it. The paper deals with solution of the equation for particle distribution function in the second-order approximation in the pitch angle. The exact analytical solution is obtained in an integral form. The well-known solution in the first-order pitch angle approximation can be restored performing the small time limit in the result. Unlike the first-order solution the obtained solution in the second approximation rightly shows that the pitch angle diffusion is closely connected with the particle transport along the mean magnetic field. The expression for particle density for the point instantaneous unidirectional source also has been obtained. 相似文献

From the point of view of approximate symmetry, the modified
Korteweg--de Vries--Burgers (mKdV--Burgers) equation with weak
dissipation is investigated. The symmetry of a system of the
corresponding partial differential equations which approximate the
perturbed mKdV--Burgers equation is constructed and the
corresponding general approximate symmetry reduction is derived;
thereby infinite series solutions and general formulae can be
obtained. The obtained result shows that the zero-order similarity
solution to the mKdV--Burgers equation satisfies the Painlevé II
equation. Also, at the level of travelling wave reduction, the
general solution formulae are given for any travelling wave solution
of an unperturbed mKdV equation. As an illustrative example, when
the zero-order tanh profile solution is chosen as an initial
approximate solution, physically approximate similarity solutions
are obtained recursively under the appropriate choice of parameters

The generalized moment method is applied to average the Ginzburg-Landau equation with quintic nonlinearity in the neighborhood of a soliton solution to the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. A qualitative analysis of the resulting dynamical system is presented. New soliton solutions bifurcating from a known exact soliton solution are obtained. A numerical solution for the two-component Bénard problem is presented, taking into account the contribution of thermal diffusion to the total density gradient. The results are compared with the approximate solution obtained by the variational technique of the local potential introduced some years ago by Glansdorff and Prigogine. The results calculated by the two methods are in agreement when the Soret coefficient is not too large. But when the gradients become important, the exact numerical solution presented here shows a small divergence from the variational method.The critical Rayleigh number is also compared with the one extrapolated from the analytical solution obtained for free boundary conditions. 相似文献

The Wyler-De Witt vacuum equation of quantum cosmology is investigated. Exact solutions are obtained in the closed and open models. It is demonstrated that the operator ordering of De Witt results in nonsingular general solutions in both cases. In the closed model the normalized solution is localized on the Planck scale and can be used as a model of the preinflationary universe. It is also demonstrated that the asymptotics of the solution with matter have the same form as the vacuum solutions. The experimentally found phenomenon of self-focusing of an electric field and the concentration of ions near the poles of an ion-selective granule in an electrolyte solution under the action of an external electric field is theoretically justified. An asymptotic solution of the problem is obtained, and it is shown that the solution found loses stability at high field strengths and, after the corresponding bifurcation, passes into a new solution in which there is a sharp local amplification of the electric field and the ion concentration. 相似文献
