The renormalization of supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories with soft supersymmetry breaking is presented using spurion fields for introducing the breaking terms. It is proven that renormalization of the fields and parameters in the classical action yields precisely the correct counterterms to cancel all divergences. In the course of the construction of higher orders additional independent parameters appear, but they can be shown to be irrelevant in physics respects. Thus, the only parameters with influence on physical amplitudes are the supersymmetric and the well-known soft breaking parameters. The component representation of superfields over non-Archimedean (and, in particular, p-adic) superalgebras with an infinite number of anticommuting generators is investigated. It is shown that supersmooth fields, nonpolynomial in anticommuting variables, exist in the non-Archimedean case (as opposed to the real or complex case). The superfield representation for the algebra of non-Archimedean supersymmetries is analyzed in the p-adic case (p 3 mod 4). We investigate the classical N = 1 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories and pay special attention to the search for the most general action fulfilling the Slavnov identity used to define the theory. It turns out that the well-known action of Ferrara, Zumino and Salam, Strathdee represents a special case, our general solution being equivalent to it through a redefinition of the gauge-fixing condition.  相似文献

The contour integral formulae of the twistor theory are generalized to the supertwistor case. The N = 4 Yang-Mills theory is truncated to an N = 3 Yang-Mills theory and to an N = 2 Yang-Mills theory coupled to an N = 2 Wess-Zumino field. The whole procedure is performed in the light-cone gauge. It is then shown that these theories are unique even if we only insist on N = 3 or N = 2 supersymmetry respectively. Finally we show in detail how the introduction of the fermionic Wess-Zumino field renders the one-loop self-energy finite.  相似文献

A scheme for describing superfields by weight diagrams is proposed. The weights in such diagram are just the conventional boson and fermion fields contained in a supermultiplet. As in the case of SU(3), the weight diagrams produce no new results, but they afford an easy visualization of the standard operations of supersymmetry, such as infinitesimal transformations, chiral reductions, and decomposition of products.  相似文献
