Solvability of Boundary Value Problems for Operator-Differential Equations of Mixed Type: The Degenerate Case

We obtain some results on solvability of boundary value problems for the equation B u _t –L u =f (t(0,)), where B and L are selfadjoint and dissipative operators defined in a Hilbert space E. The kernel of B may be nontrivial and L is uniformly dissipative on a subspace M of finite codimension.     

Boundary Value and Inverse Problems for Some Classes of Nonclassical Operator-Differential Equations

We consider the solvability of boundary valueproblems and some inverse problems for operator-differentialequations of odd order which can be referred to as mixed typeequations since the coefficient of the higher order time derivative can change sign.Studying the general classes of boundary value problems with nonlocal boundary conditions,we establish the existence and uniqueness theorems of regular solutions under some conditions on data.

Strong Solvability of Boundary Value Contact Problems

Strong solvability in Sobolev spaces is proved for a unilateral contact boundary value problem for a class of nonlinear discontinuous operators. The operator is assumed to be of Caratheodory type and to satisfy a suitable ellipticity condition. Only measurability with respect to the independent variable x is required. The main tool of the proof is an estimate for the second derivatives of the functions which satisfy the unilateral boundary conditions, in which it has been possible to prove that the constant is equal to 1.

On the Solvability of a Boundary Value Problem for Model Equations of Linearly Viscous Materials

This paper deals with model equations for linearly viscous materials. Viscosity is allowed to vary with temperature. The global solvability of an initial-boundary value problem for nonlinear equations is proved by continuation of a local solution with the help of a priori estimates. The main attention is paid to the global estimates.     

The Method of Singular Equations in Boundary Value Problems in Kinetic Theory

We develop a new effective method for solving boundary value problems in kinetic theory. The method permits solving boundary value problems for mirror and diffusive boundary conditions with an arbitrary accuracy and is based on the idea of reducing the original problem to two problems of which one has a diffusion boundary condition for the reflection of molecules from the wall and the other has a mirror boundary condition. We illustrate this method with two classical problems in kinetic theory: the Kramers problem (isothermal slip) and the thermal slip problem. 一类非线性泛函边值问题的可解性

本文考虑非线性泛函边值问题，利用Ｂｏｒｓｕｋ定理与Ｌｅｒａｙ－Ｓｃｈａｕｄｅｒ不动点定理，得到了上述边值问题的若干可解性结果。
