We wish to report the observation of O 1s level soft X-ray appearance potential spectra for O adsorbed on clean polycrystalline surfaces of Ti, Cr, Fe and Ni. The spectra are detectable in the chemisorption regime and are then characterized by one single peak at the threshold. The peak is thought to be related to an enhanced local density of unfilled valence states on the oxygen atoms. These simple spectra are in sharp contrast to the multipeaked O 1s level spectra observed from the surface oxides grown after prolonged oxygen exposures. 相似文献

According to a new electron screening theory,we discuss the beta decay rates of nuclide 56Fe,56Co,56Ni,56Mn,56Cr and 56V with and without strong electron screening (SES).The results show that SES has only a slight effect on the beta decay rates for ρ/μe 108 g/cm3.However the beta decay rates would be influenced greatly for ρ/μe 108 g/cm3.Due to SES,the maximum values of the C-factor (in %) on beta decay rates of 56Fe,56Co,56Ni,56Mn,56Cr and 56V is of the order of 95.03%,35.02%,98.05%,80.33%,98.30% and 98.71% at T9 = 4.0 and 98.83%,98.89%,99.65%,10.32%,4.10% and 40.21% at T9 = 7.0,respectively. 相似文献

57Fe and 119Sn CEMS, XRD and electrochemical measurements were used to investigate the effect of the preparation parameters and the components
on the structure and phase composition of electrodeposited Fe-Ni-Cr alloys in connection with their corrosion behavior. XRD
of the electrodeposits reflect an amorphous-like character. 57Fe CEM spectra of Fe-Ni-Cr electrodeposited samples, prepared in a continuous flow plating plastic circulation cell with variation
of current density, electrolyte velocity and temperature, can be evaluated as a doublet associated with a highly disordered
paramagnetic solid solution phase. This phase was identified earlier in Fe-Ni-Cr electrodeposits that were prepared by another
plating method and contained both ferromagnetic and paramagnetic metastable phases [1]. This is the first time that we have
succeeded to prepare Fe-Ni-Cr alloys containing only the metastable paramagnetic phase. The effect of the plating parameters
on the structure is also analysed by the quadrupole splitting distribution method. 119Sn CEM spectra of all Sn-containing plated alloys show a broad line envelop which can be decomposed at least into two components.
One can be associated with β-tin. The other one can be assigned to an alloy phase. The structure and distribution of microenvironments
of these phases depends on the plating parameters especially on the parameters of the reverse pulse applied.

The interaction of oxygen with the surface of evaporated films of Ti, Cr, Fe and Ni has been studied with appearance potential spectroscopy (APS). Both oxygen Is and metal 2p spectra were recorded. Two adsorption regimes were clearly distinguishable: (i) a chemisorption regime characterized by a single peak in the oxygen 1s spectra and unchanged metal 2p spectra, (ii) an oxide regime with pronounced multipeaked structures in the oxygen 1s spectra and appreciable changes in the metal 2p spectra. The technique allows the determination of the exposure at which an oxide starts to grow on the surface. 相似文献

Seven 271Ds decay chains were identified in the bombardment of 208Pb targets with 311.5 and 314.3 MeV 64Ni projectiles using the Berkeley Gas-filled Separator. These data, combined with previous results, provide an excitation function for this reaction. From these results, an optimum energy of 321 MeV was estimated for the production of (272)111 in the new reaction 208Pb(65Cu,n). One decay chain was observed, resulting in a cross section of 1.7(+3.9)(-1.4) pb. This experiment confirms the discovery of element 111 by the Darmstadt Group who used the 209Bi(64Ni,n)(272)111 reaction. 相似文献

In 3D-TDHF calculations of heavy asymmetric nuclear collisions we find four classes of reactions. At low impact parameters the system captures, whereas at large impact parameters deep inelastic collisions occur. For differentE Lab,L in and mass asymmetries this leads to(i) strong drift to symmetry with later fragmentation,(ii) formation of long-lived very-heavy nuclear molecules or(iii) fusion and slow drift to sphericity. The calculated capture cross-sections vs.E Lab are consistent with recent data. 相似文献

All-electron scalar relativistic calculations on Au5X (X = Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn) clusters have been performed by using density functional theory with the
generalized gradient approximation. Our calculation results indicate that all the lowest energy geometries of Au5X clusters have planar structures; the doped X atoms prefer to occupy the fourfold coordination site. Except Au5Fe, Au5Co and Au5Zn, for other clusters including pure Au6 cluster, the HOMO are delocalized obviously with a contribution from all atoms in the cluster. On the contrary, the electron
localization in Au5Zn is very strong resulting in the least stability of this cluster. Au5Cu cluster with six delocalized electrons being defined as magic number for two-dimensional system has the largest VIP and
deepest HOMO energy level. With the substitution Au for X atoms, the metallicity of all Au5X clusters is reinforced. 相似文献

用电子冷却存储环(CSR)提供的能量为165 MeV/u的高能C6+脉冲束分别与Ti、V、Fe、Ni和Zn靶表面相互作用,测量了各靶辐射的K壳层X射线。结果表明,实验探测到各靶的K和K X射线均向高能区发生了不同程度的移动。经分析,X射线发生频移是由靶原子外壳层发生多电离引起的。通过计算各靶K壳层X射线的产生截面,发现该截面随原子序数的增加而减小。将各靶K-X射线产生截面的实验值分别与两体碰撞近似、平面波恩近似和ECPSSR理论值比较,发现现有理论与实验值存在偏差,要准确描述实验结果需要进一步修正。 相似文献
