In this paper, we report the first examples of trispyrazolylmethane complexes of rare earths. Reaction of LnCl3 with Tpm* (tris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)methane) in THF or acetonitrile gives good yields of the [Ln(Tpm*)Cl3] (Ln = Y, Ce, Nd, Sm, Gd, Yb). Tpm* adducts of the lanthanide triflates [Ln(Tpm*)(OTf)3(THF)] (Ln = Y, Ho, Dy) may also be prepared. The X-ray crystal structures of [Y(Tpm*)Cl3], [Sm(Tpm*)Cl3(THF)], and [Ln(Tpm*)(OTf)3(THF)] (Ln = Y, Ho) are reported. The halide/triflate complexes may be used to prepare the aryloxide complexes [Ln(Tpm*)(OArMe2)3] (Ln = Y, Nd, Sm, Yb; ArMe2 = C6H3-2,6-(CH3)2), which are fluxional in solution as a result of interactions between the Tpm* and the aryloxide groups. The structures of the Nd and Sm complexes have been determined. Finally, the reaction of [Nd(BH4)3(THF)3] with Tpm* in THF results in the displacement of two THF molecules to give [Nd(Tpm*)(BH4)3(THF)]. Infrared spectra are consistent with tridentate borohydride coordination. The X-ray structures of these compounds indicate that the Tpm* ligand is less strongly bound than its anionic trispyrazolylborate analogues.  相似文献

Genuine heteroleptic neodymium and samarium complexes of formula [Cp*'Ln[(p-tol)NN](BH4)] (Cp*' = C5Me4(nPr), (p-tol)NN = (p-tol)NC(Me)CHC(Me)N(p-tol), Ln = Sm: 1a, Ln = Nd: 1b) have been synthesized for the first time. These unprecedented homologues of early lanthanocenes are prepared by a metathetic reaction between their monocyclopentadienylbisborohydrido precursors with the corresponding potassium diketiminate. Both complexes were obtained in good yields and were characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Complex 1 a has an non-solvated dimeric structure, as indicated by its crystallographic data. The chloroneodymium analogue [Cp*'Nd[(p-tol)NN](Cl)] (2b) was only obtained as a part of a mixture. Analysis of crystals of 2b by X-ray diffraction revealed a molecular structure very similar to that of 1a. Preliminary isoprene polymerization experiments were carried out with 1 b in the presence of an alkylmagnesium coactivator. The resulting bimetallic Nd/Mg system behaves as an efficient and highly stereospecific catalyst with the synthesis of trans-1,4-polyisoprene with more than 98% regularity. The control of the polymer structure is related to the steric hindrance around the lanthanide atom.  相似文献

The ability of various rare earth borohydride and chloride complexes/n‐butylethylmagnesium systems to operate styrene chain transfer polymerization in mild conditions has been assessed. Thirteen precatalysts have been considered: the rare earth trisborohydrides Ln(BH4)3(THF)x (x = 3, Ln = Nd (1), La (2), Sm (3), x = 2, Ln = Y (4), Sc (5)), the rare earth chlorides LnCl3(THF)x (x = 3, Ln = Nd (6), La (7), Sm (8), Y (9), x = 2, Ln = Sc (10)), the mixed La(BH4)2Cl(THF)2.6 (11) and the half‐lanthanidocenes Cp*Ln(BH4)2(THF)2 (Ln = Nd (12), La (13)). Six systems were found to be active precatalysts for the polymerization of styrene. 1 , 2 , and 11 led to an efficient transmetalation of the growing polystyrene chain with the simultaneous occurrence of βH elimination, whereas 7 , 12 , and 13 led to catalyzed chain growth behavior. It is noteworthy that the catalyzed chain growth obtained with 12 and 13 occurs with significant stereoselectivity. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Reactions of Ln(BH4)3(THF)n and [Li(Et2O)]SPS(Me)], the lithium salt of an anionic SPS pincer ligand composed of a central hypervalent lambda4-phosphinine ring bearing two ortho-positioned diphenylphosphine sulfide sidearms, led to the monosubstituted compounds [Ln(BH4)2(SPS(Me))(THF)2] [Ln = Ce (1), Nd (2)], while the homoleptic complexes [Ln(SPS(Me))3] [Ln = Ce (3), Nd (4)] were obtained by treatment of LnX3 (X = I, BH4) with [K(Et2O)][SPS(Me)]. The [UX2(SPS(Me))2] complexes [X = Cl (5), BH4 (6)] were isolated from reactions of UX4 and the lithium or potassium salt of the [SPS(Me)]- anion. The X-ray crystal structures of 1.1.5THF, 2.1.5THF, 3.2THF.2Et2O, and 5.4py reveal that the flexible tridentate [SPS(Me)]- anion is bound to the metal as a tertiary phosphine with electronic delocalization within the unsaturated parts of the ligand.  相似文献

Polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) initiated by the rare-earth borohydride complexes [Ln(BH(4))(3)(thf)(3)] (Ln=Nd, Sm) or [Sm(BH(4))(Cp*)(2)(thf)] (Cp*=eta-C(5)Me(5)) proceeds at ambient temperature to give rather syndiotactic poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) with molar masses M(n) higher than expected and quite broad molar mass distributions, which is consistent with a poor initiation efficiency. The polymerization of MMA was investigated by performing density functional theory (DFT) calculations on an eta-C(5)H(5) model metallocene and showed that in the reaction of [Eu(BH(4))(Cp)(2)] with MMA the borate [Eu(Cp)(2){(OBH(3))(OMe)C=C(Me)(2)}] (e-2) complex, which forms via the enolate [Eu(Cp)(2){O(OMe)C=C(Me)(2)}] (e), is calculated to be exergonic and is the most likely of all of the possible products. This product is favored because the reaction that leads to the formation of carboxylate [Eu(Cp)(2){OOC-C(Me)(=CH(2))}] (f) is thermodynamically favorable, but kinetically disfavored, and both of the potential products from a Markovnikov [Eu(Cp)(2){O(OMe)C-CH(Me)(CH(2)BH(3))}] (g) or anti-Markovnikov [Eu(Cp)(2){O(OMe)C-C(Me(2))(BH(3))}] (h) hydroboration reaction are also kinetically inaccessible. Similar computational results were obtained for the reaction of [Eu(BH(4))(3)] and MMA with all of the products showing extra stabilization. The DFT calculations performed by using [Eu(Cp)(2)(H)] to model the mechanism previously reported for the polymerization of MMA initiated by [Sm(Cp*)(2)(H)](2) confirmed the favorable exergonic formation of the intermediate [Eu(Cp)(2){O(OMe)C=C(Me)(2)}] (e') as the kinetic product, this enolate species ultimately leads to the formation of PMMA as experimentally observed. Replacing H by BH(4) thus prevents the 1,4-addition of the [Eu(BH(4))(Cp)(2)] borohydride ligand to the first incoming MMA molecule and instead favors the formation of the borate complex e-2. This intermediate is the somewhat active species in the polymerization of MMA initiated by the borohydride precursors [Ln(BH(4))(3)(thf)(3)] or [Sm(BH(4))(Cp*)(2)(thf)].  相似文献

A series of group 6 transition metal half-sandwich complexes with 1,1-dichalcogenide ligands have been prepared by the reactions of Cp*MCl(4)(Cp* = eta(5)-C(5)Me(5); M = Mo, W) with the potassium salt of 2,2-dicyanoethylene-1,1-dithiolate, (KS)(2)C=C(CN)(2) (K(2)-i-mnt), or the analogous seleno compound, (KSe)(2)C=C(CN)(2) (K(2)-i-mns). The reaction of Cp*MCl(4) with (KS)(2)C=C(CN)(2) in a 1:3 molar ratio in CH(3)CN gave rise to K[Cp*M(S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (M = Mo, 1a, 74%; M = W, 2a, 46%). Under the same conditions, the reaction of Cp*MoCl(4) with 3 equiv of (KSe)(2)C=C(CN)(2) afforded K[Cp*Mo(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (3a) and K[Cp*Mo(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(Se(Se(2))C=C(CN)(2))] (4) in respective yields of 45% and 25%. Cation exchange reactions of 1a, 2a, and 3a with Et(4)NBr resulted in isolation of (Et(4)N)[Cp*Mo(S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (1b), (Et(4)N)[Cp*W(S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (2b), and (Et(4)N)[Cp*Mo(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (3b), respectively. Complex 4 crystallized with one THF and one CH(3)CN molecule as a three-dimensional network structure. Inspection of the reaction of Cp*WCl(4) with (KSe)(2)C=C(CN)(2) by ESI-MS revealed the existence of three species in CH(3)CN, [Cp*W(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)]-, [Cp*W(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(Se(Se(2))C=C(CN)(2))]-, and [Cp*W(Se(Se(2))C=C(CN)(2))(2)]-, of which [Cp*W(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(Se(Se(2))C=C(CN)(2))]-(5) was isolated as the main product. Treatment of 2a with 1/4 equiv of S(8) in refluxing THF resulted in sulfur insertion and gave rise to K[Cp*W(S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(S(S(2))C=C(CN)(2))](6), which crystallized with two THF molecules forming a three-dimensional network structure. 6 can also be prepared by refluxing 2a with 1/4 equiv of S(8) in THF. 3a readily added one Se atom upon treatment with 1 mol of Se powder in THF to give 4 in high yield, while the treatment of 3a or 4 with 2 equiv of Na(2)Se in THF led to formation of a dinuclear complex [(Cp*Mo)(2)(mu-Se)(mu-Se(Se(3))C=C(CN)(2))] (7). The structure of 7 consists of two Cp*Mo units bridged by a Se(2-) and a [Se(Se(3))C=C(CN)(2)](2-) ligand in which the triselenido group is arranged in a nearly linear way (163 degrees). The reaction of 2a with 2 equiv of CuBr in CH(3)CN yielded a trinuclear complex [Cp*WCu(2)(mu-Br)(mu(3)-S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (8), which crystallized with one CH(3)CN and generated a one-dimensional chain polymer through bonding of Cu to the N of the cyano groups.  相似文献

The heterobimetallic peralkylated complexes [Ln(AlR4)2]n (Ln = Sm, Yb; R = Me, Et) were synthesized by a silylamide elimination route from Ln[N(SiMe3)2]2(THF)2 and an excess of AlR3. The solid-state structure of [Sm(AlEt4)2]n is isomorphous to that of the ytterbium derivative. Polymeric [Yb(AlMe4)2]n was examined by 1H and 13C MAS NMR spectroscopy revealing the presence of distinct bridging methyl groups. The reaction of [Yb(AlMe4)2]n and 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen) afforded the monomeric donor adduct Yb(AlMe4)2(Phen), while the protonolysis reaction with 2 equiv. C5Me5H (HCp*) yielded a separated ion pair of composition [Cp*Yb(THF)(4)][AlMe(4)]. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction data are provided for both ytterbium(II) complexes. Solid-state magnetic measurements (SQUID) were performed on [Sm(AlMe4)2]n, [Sm(AlEt4)2]n, SmI2(THF)2 and Sm[N(SiMe3)2]2(THF)2 showing high effective magnetic moments 3.67micro(B) < micro(eff) < 4.43micro(B).  相似文献

Reaction of Na2O2NN' [H2O2NN' = (2-C5H4N)CH2N[2-HO-3,5-C6H2(t)Bu2]2] with M(BH4)3(THF)3 afforded the dimeric, rare-earth borohydride compounds [M(O2NN')(mu-BH4)(THF)n]2 [M = Y(III), n = 0.5 (1-Y); M = NdIII, n = 1 (1-Nd); M = SmIII, n = 0 (1-Sm)]. For comparison the chloride analogues [M(O2NN')(mu-Cl)(THF)n]2 (2-M; M = La(III) or Sm(III), n = 0; M = Nd(III), n = 1) and the corresponding pyridine adducts [M(O2NN')(mu-X)(py)]2 [X = BH4 (3-M) or Cl (4-M); M = La(III), Nd(III), or Sm(III)] were prepared and structurally characterized for 4-La. Compounds 1-M initiated the ring-opening polymerization of epsilon-caprolactone. The best molecular weight control (suppression of chain transfer) for all three monomers was found for the samarium system 1-Sm. The most effective heterotactic enrichment (Pr) in the polymerization of rac-lactide was found for 1-Y (P(r) = 87%). Compound 1-Nd catalyzed the block copolymerization of epsilon-caprolactone and L- and rac-lactide provided that epsilon-caprolactone was added first. Attempted block polymerization by the addition of L-lactide first, or random copolymerization of a ca. 1:1 mixture of epsilon-caprolactone and L-lactide, gave only a poly(L-lactide) homopolymer.  相似文献

Reaction of two equiv of [2-NCC(6)H(4)HNLi(THF)](n) (1) with Cp(2)LnCl(THF) yields the heterobimetallic complexes Cp(2)Ln[κ(3)-(4-NH[double bond, length as m-dash](C(8)N(2)H(4))(2-NHC(6)H(4))]Li(THF)(3) (Cp = C(5)H(5); Ln = Er (2), Y(3)), indicating an organolanthanide-mediated nucleophilic addition/cyclization of the 2-cyanobenzoamino anion to construct the 4-iminoquinazolinate dianionic ligand.  相似文献

The monoborohydride lanthanide complex [Sm(Cp*)2(BH4)(thf)] (1a) (Cp* = eta-C5Me5), has been successfully used for the controlled ring-opening polymerization of epsilon-caprolactone (epsilon-CL). The organometallic samarium(III) initiator 1 a produces, in quantitative yields, alpha,omega-dihydroxytelechelic poly(epsilon-caprolactone) displaying relatively narrow polydispersity indices (<1.3) within a short period of time (30 min). The polymers have been characterized by 1H and 13C NMR, SEC, and MALDI-TOF MS analyses. Use of the single-site initiator 1 a allows a better understanding of the polymerization mechanism, in particular with the identification of the intermediate compound [Sm(Cp*)2(BH4)(epsilon-CL)] (1b). Indeed, one molecule of epsilon-CL initially displaces the coordinated THF in 1 a to give 1 b. Then, epsilon-CL opening (through cleavage of the cyclic ester oxygen-acyl bond) and insertion into the Sm--HBH3 bond followed by reduction of the carbonyl function by the BH3 end-group ligand, leads to the samarium alkoxyborane derivative [Sm(Cp*)2[O(CH2)6O(BH2)]] (2). This compound subsequently initiates the polymerization of epsilon-CL through a coordination-insertion mechanism. Finally, upon hydrolysis, alpha,omega-dihydroxypoly(epsilon-caprolactone), HO(CH2)5C(O)[O(CH2)5C(O)]nO(CH2)6OH (4) is recovered. The stereoelectronic contribution of the two Cp* ligands appears to slow down the polymerization and to limit transesterification reactions.  相似文献

A series of sulfido-bridged tungsten-ruthenium dinuclear complexes Cp*W(mu-S)(3)RuX(PPh(3))(2) (4a; X = Cl, 4b; X = H), Cp*W(O)(mu-S)(2)RuX(PPh(3))(2) (5a; X = Cl, 5b; X = H), and Cp*W(NPh)(mu-S)(2)RuX(PPh(3))(2) (6a; X = Cl, 6b; X = H) have been synthesized by the reactions of (PPh(4))[Cp*W(S)(3)] (1), (PPh(4))[Cp*W(O)(S)(2)] (2), and (PPh(4))[Cp*W(NPh)(S)(2)] (3), with RuClX(PPh(3))(3) (X = Cl, H). The heterolytic cleavage of H(2) was found to proceed at room temperature upon treating 5a and 6a with NaBAr(F)(4) (Ar(F) = 3, 5-C(6)H(3)(CF(3))(2)) under atmospheric pressure of H(2), which gave rise to [Cp*W(OH)(mu-S)(2)RuH(PPh(3))(2)](BAr(F)(4)) (7a) and [Cp*W(NHPh)(mu-S)(2)RuH(PPh(3))(2)](BAr(F)(4)) (8), respectively. When Cp*W(O)(mu-S)(2)Ru(PPh(3))(2)H (5b) was treated with a Br?nstead acid, [H(OEt(2))(2)](BAr(F)(4)) or HOTf, protonation occurred exclusively at the terminal oxide to give [Cp*W(OH)(mu-S)(2)RuH(PPh(3))(2)](X) (7a; X = BAr(F)(4), 7b; X = OTf), while the hydride remained intact. The analogous reaction of Cp+W(mu-S)(3)Ru(PPh(3))(2)H (4b) led to immediate evolution of H(2). Selective deprotonation of the hydroxyl group of 7a or 7b was induced by NEt(3) and 4b, generating Cp*W(O)(mu-S)(2)Ru(PPh(3))(2)H (5b). Evolution of H(2) was also observed for the reactions of 7a or 7b with CH(3)CN to give [Cp*W(O)(mu-S)(2)Ru(CH(3)CN)(PPh(3))(2)](X) (11a; X = BAr(F)(4), 11b; X = OTf). We examined the H/D exchange reactions of 4b, 5b, and 7a with D(2) and CH(3)OD, and found that facile H/D scrambling over the W-OH and Ru-H sites occurred for 7a. Based on these experimental results, the mechanism of the heterolytic H(2) activation and the reverse H(2) evolution reactions are discussed.  相似文献

We report structure analysis of a new family of rare-earth hydroxides Ln(2)(OH)(4)SO(4)·2H(2)O (Ln = Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb) from synchrotron X-ray and electron diffraction data. Rietveld profile analysis revealed that all members were isostructural and crystallized in a face-centered monoclinic system A2/m (No. 12), in which the monoclinic angles were approximately equal to the right angle, varying from 90.387(1)° for Pr sample to 90.0718(3)° for Tb sample. The structure consisted of LnO(9) polyhedra connected by μ(3)-hydroxyl groups and μ(2)-water molecules, forming a corrugated two-dimensional layer, which was pillared by bidentated sulfate ions. This series of compounds had a supercell a' = 2a, b' = 2b because of the local orientation ordering of SO(4)(2-). Structural features along the series, such as unit-cell parameters and average Ln-O distances, represented a progressive contraction associated with the shrinking radius of the lanthanide cations from Pr to Tb.  相似文献

Reactions of [Tp*Rh(coe)(MeCN)](; Tp*= HB(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)(3); coe = cyclooctene) with one equiv. of the organic disulfides, PhSSPh, TolSSTol (Tol = 4-MeC(6)H(4)), PySSPy (Py = 2-pyridyl), and tetraethylthiuram disulfide in THF at room temperature afforded the mononuclear Rh(III) complexes [Tp*Rh(SPh)(2)(MeCN)](3a), [Tp*Rh(STol)(2)(MeCN)](3b), [Tp*Rh(eta(2)-SPy)(eta(1)-SPy)](6), and [Tp*Rh(eta(2)-S(2)CNEt(2))(eta(1)-S(2)CNEt(2))](7), respectively, via the oxidative addition of the organic disulfides to the Rh(I) center in 1. For the Tp analogue [TpRh(coe)(MeCN)](2, Tp = HB(pyrazol-1-yl)(3)), the reaction with TolSSTol proceeded similarly to give the bis(thiolato) complex [TpRh(STol)(2)(MeCN)](4) as a major product but the dinuclear complex [[TpRh(STol)](2)(micro-STol)(2)](5) was also obtained in low yield. Complex 3 was treated further with the Rh(III) or Ir(III) complexes [(Cp*MCl)(2)(micro-Cl)(2)](Cp*=eta(5)-C(5)Me(5)) in THF at room temperature, yielding the thiolato-bridged dinuclear complexes [Tp*RhCl(micro-SPh)(2)MCp*Cl](8a: M = Rh, 8b: M = Ir). Dirhodium complex [TpRhCl(micro-STol)(2)RhCp*Cl](9) was obtained similarly from 4 and [(Cp*RhCl)(2)(micro-Cl)(2)]. Anion metathesis of 8a proceeds only at the Rh atom with the Cp* ligand to yield [Tp*RhCl(micro-SPh)(2)RhCp*(MeCN)][PF(6)](10), when treated with excess KPF(6) in CH(2)Cl(2)-MeCN. The X-ray analyses have been undertaken to determine the detailed structures of 3b, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8a, 9, and 10.  相似文献

The reaction between 1.5 equiv of elemental iodine and rare earth metals in powder form in THF at room temperature gives the rare earth triiodides LnI(3)(THF)(n)() in good yields. Purification by Soxhlet extraction of the crude solids with THF reliably gives the THF adducts LnI(3)(THF)(4) [Ln = La, Pr] and LnI(3)(THF)(3.5) [Ln = Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Er, Tm, Y] as microcrystalline solids. X-ray crystallography reveals that the early, larger lanthanide iodide PrI(3)(THF)(4) crystallizes as discrete molecules having a pentagonal bipyramidal structure, whereas the later, smaller lanthanide iodides LnI(3)(THF)(3.5) [Ln = Nd, Gd, Y] crystallize as solvent-separated ion pairs [LnI(2)(THF)(5)][LnI(4)(THF)(2)] in which the cations adopt a pentagonal bipyramidal geometry and the anions adopt an octahedral geometry in the solid state.  相似文献

From the reactions of Cp*ZrCl(3) with 3 equiv. of LiBH(3)R (R = CH(3), Ph), the organotrihydroborate complexes, Cp*Zr(BH(3)CH(3))(3), 1, and Cp*Zr(BH(3)Ph)(3), 2, were isolated. One of the Zr-H-B bonding interactions in 2 could be described as an intermediate case between the bidentate and tridentate modes. Reactions of and Cp*Zr(BH(4))(3), 3, with Lewis acid B(C(6)F(5))(3) in diethyl ether produced the novel 14-electron ionic compounds [(micro(3)-O)(micro(2)-OC(2)H(5))(3){(Cp*Zr(OC(2)H(5)))(2)(BCH(3))}][HB(C(6)F(5))(3)], 4, and [(micro(3)-O)(micro(2)-OC(2)H(5))(3){(Cp*Zr(OC(2)H(5)))(2)(BOC(2)H(5))}][HB(C(6)F(5))(3)], 5, respectively. These two unique compounds resulted from a sequential cleavage of Zr-H-B bonds of 1 and 3 and C-O bonds of ether followed by the formation of O-B bonds. The solid state single crystal X-ray analyses revealed that both compounds have similar structures. A micro(3)-oxygen bridges two zirconiums and a boron atom. The latter three atoms are further connected by three micro(2)-bridging ethoxy groups giving rise to three four-membered metallacycles within the structure of each cation.  相似文献

This paper reports the organolanthanide-catalyzed intramolecular hydroamination/cyclization of amine-tethered unactivated 1,2-disubstituted alkenes to afford the corresponding mono- and disubstituted pyrrolidines and piperidines using coordinatively unsaturated complexes of the type (eta(5)-Me(5)C(5))(2)LnCH(TMS)(2) (Ln = La, Sm), [Me(2)Si(eta(5)-Me(4)C(5))(2)]SmCH(TMS)(2), and [Me(2)Si(eta(5)-Me(4)C(5))((t)BuN)]LnE(TMS)(2) (Ln = Sm, Y, Yb, Lu; E = N, CH) as precatalysts. [Me(2)Si(eta(5)-Me(4)C(5))((t)BuN)]LnE(TMS)(2) mediates intramolecular hydroamination/cyclization of sterically demanding amino-olefins to afford disubstituted pyrrolidines in high diastereoselectivity (trans/cis = 16/1) and good to excellent yield. In addition, chiral C(1)-symmetric organolanthanide catalysts of the type [Me(2)Si(OHF)(CpR*)]LnN(TMS)(2) (OHF = eta(5)-octahydrofluorenyl; Cp = eta(5)-C(5)H(3); R* = (-)-menthyl; Ln = Sm, Y), and [Me(2)Si(eta(5)-Me(4)C(5))(CpR*)]SmN(TMS)(2) (Cp = eta(5)-H(3)C(5); R* = (-)-menthyl) mediate asymmetric intramolecular hydroamination/cyclization of amines bearing internal olefins and afford chiral 2-substituted piperidine and pyrrolidine in enantioselectivities as high as 84:16 er at 60 degrees C. The substrate of the structure NH(2)CH(2)CMe(2)CH(2)CH=CH(CH(2))(2)CH=CH(2) is regiospecifically bicyclized by [Me(2)Si(eta(5)-Me(4)C(5))((t)BuN)]LnE(TMS)(2) to the corresponding indolizidine skeleton in good yield and high diastereoselectivity. Thermolysis of (eta(5)-Me(5)C(5))(2)LaCH(TMS)(2) in cyclohexane-d(12) at 120 degrees C rapidly releases CH(2)(SiMe(3))(2) and leads to possible formation of fulvene (eta(6)-Me(4)C(5)CH(2)-) species. The thermolysis product readily reverts to active catalysts upon protonolysis by substrate and exhibits the same catalytic activity as the (eta(5),eta(1)-Me(5)C(5))(2)LaCH(TMS)(2) precatalyst at 120 degrees C in the cyclization of cis-2,2-dimethylhept-5-enylamine. Catalytically-active lanthanide-amido complexes (eta(5)-Me(5)C(5))(2)La(NHR)(NH(2)R)(n) and [Me(2)Si(eta(5)-Me(4)C(5))((t)BuN)]Sm(NHR)(NH(2)R)(n) are shown to be thermally robust species.  相似文献

The reactivity of [Cp(2)Ln(mu-OH)(THF)]2 (Ln = Y (1), Er (2), Yb (3)) toward PhEtCCO, PhNCO, Cp3Ln, [Cp2Ln(mu-CH3)]2, and the LiCl adduct of Cp2Ln(n)Bu(THF)x was examined. In all cases, OH-centered reactivity is observed: complexes 1-3 react with PhEtCCO to form the O-H addition products [Cp2Ln(mu-eta1:eta2-O2CCHEtPh)]2 (Ln = Yb (5), Er (6), Y (7), respectively, for 1-3), whereas treatment of 1 with PhNCO affords the addition/CpH-elimination/rearrangement product [{Cp2Y(THF)}2(mu-eta2:eta2-O2CNPh)] (8), which contains an unusual PhNCO(2) dianionic ligand. Analogous compound [Cp2Ln(THF)]2(mu-eta2:eta2-O2CNPh) (Ln = Yb (9), Er (10)) and 8 can be obtained in a higher yield by treatment of [Cp2Ln(mu-OH)(THF)]2 with PhNCO followed by reaction with the corresponding Cp3Ln. However, attempts to prepare the corresponding heterobimetallic complex by reacting stoichiometric amounts of [Cp2Y(mu-OH)(THF)]2 with PhNCO followed by treating it with Cp3Yb are unsuccessful. Instead, only rearrangement products 8 and 9 are obtained. Furthermore, the reaction of 3 with [Cp2Yb(mu-CH3)]2 or Cp3Yb forms oxo-bridged compound [Cp2Yb(THF)]2(mu-O) (11), whereas the reaction of [Cp2ErCl]2 with Li(n)Bu followed by treatment with 2 affords unexpected mu-oxo lanthanocene cluster (Cp2Er)3(mu-OH)(mu3-O)(mu-Cl)Li(THF)4 (12). In contrast to 1 and 2, 3 shows a strong tendency to undergo the intermolecular elimination of CpH at room temperature, giving trinuclear species [Cp2Yb(mu-OH)]2[CpYb(THF)](mu3-O) (4). The single-crystal X-ray diffraction structures of 1, 2, and 4-12 are described. All the results offer an interesting contrast to transition- and main-metal hydroxide complexes.  相似文献

The protonolysis reaction of [Ln(AlMe(4))(3)] with various substituted cyclopentadienyl derivatives HCp(R) gives access to a series of half-sandwich complexes [Ln(AlMe(4))(2)(Cp(R))]. Whereas bis(tetramethylaluminate) complexes with [1,3-(Me(3)Si)(2)C(5)H(3)] and [C(5)Me(4)SiMe(3)] ancillary ligands form easily at ambient temperature for the entire Ln(III) cation size range (Ln=Lu, Y, Sm, Nd, La), exchange with the less reactive [1,2,4-(Me(3)C)(3)C(5)H(3)] was only obtained at elevated temperatures and for the larger metal centers Sm, Nd, and La. X-ray structure analyses of seven representative complexes of the type [Ln(AlMe(4))(2)(Cp(R))] reveal a similar distinct [AlMe(4)] coordination (one eta(2), one bent eta(2)). Treatment with Me(2)AlCl leads to [AlMe(4)] --> [Cl] exchange and, depending on the Al/Ln ratio and the Cp(R) ligand, varying amounts of partially and fully exchanged products [{Ln(AlMe(4))(mu-Cl)(Cp(R))}(2)] and [{Ln(mu-Cl)(2)(Cp(R))}(n)], respectively, have been identified. Complexes [{Y(AlMe(4))(mu-Cl)(C(5)Me(4)SiMe(3))}(2)] and [{Nd(AlMe(4))(mu-Cl){1,2,4-(Me(3)C)(3)C(5)H(2)}}(2)] have been characterized by X-ray structure analysis. All of the chlorinated half-sandwich complexes are inactive in isoprene polymerization. However, activation of the complexes [Ln(AlMe(4))(2)(Cp(R))] with boron-containing cocatalysts, such as [Ph(3)C][B(C(6)F(5))(4)], [PhNMe(2)H][B(C(6)F(5))(4)], or B(C(6)F(5))(3), produces initiators for the fabrication of trans-1,4-polyisoprene. The choice of rare-earth metal cation size, Cp(R) ancillary ligand, and type of boron cocatalyst crucially affects the polymerization performance, including activity, catalyst efficiency, living character, and polymer stereoregularity. The highest stereoselectivities were observed for the precatalyst/cocatalyst systems [La(AlMe(4))(2)(C(5)Me(4)SiMe(3))]/B(C(6)F(5))(3) (trans-1,4 content: 95.6 %, M(w)/M(n)=1.26) and [La(AlMe(4))(2)(C(5)Me(5))]/B(C(6)F(5))(3) (trans-1,4 content: 99.5 %, M(w)/M(n)=1.18).  相似文献

From reaction of [(Cp*Ir)2HxCl(4-x)] (x=1, 0) and LiBH4, arachno-[[Cp*IrH2]B3H7](1) is produced in moderate yield concurrently with [Cp*IrH4]. In contrast, reaction of [(Cp*Ir)2H2Cl2] with LiBH4 results in arachno-[[Cp*IrH]2(mu-H)B2H5] (3) in high yield at room temperature but a mixture of 1 and [[Cp*IrH]2(mu-H)BH4] (2) at 0 degrees C. BH3 x THF converts 1 to arachno-[(Cp*IrHB4H9] (4) and 2 to 3 with 1 as a minor product. Further, reaction of 3 with excess of BH3 x THF results in formation of nido-[[Cp*Ir]2-(mu-H)B4H7] (6) formed by loss of H2 from the intermediate arachno-[[Cp*IrH]2B4H8] (5). Reaction of 1 with [Co2(CO)8] permits the isolation of two metallaboranes, arachno-[[Cp*Ir(CO)]-B3H7] (7) and nido-[1-[Cp*Ir]-2,3-Co2-(CO)4(mu-CO)B3H7] (8). Treatment of 4 with [Co2(CO)8] gives only one single mixed-metal metallaborane nido-[1-[Cp*Ir]-2-Co(CO)3B4H7 (9) in high yield. Finally, pyrolysis of 8 results in loss of hydrogen and formation of pileo-[1-[Cp*Ir]-2,3-Co2(CO)5B3H5] (10) with a BH-capped square-pyramidal structure. With kinetic control rational synthesis of a variety metallaboranes has been achieved by varying the number of chlorides in the monocyclopentadienylmetal halide dimer, reaction temperature, types of monoborane, and metal fragment sources.  相似文献
