The meson decay of light hyperfragments
The binding energies of five types of light hyperfragments, i. e. of atomic nuclei of light elements containing one hyperon instead of one neutron, were measured. The hyperfragments originated by means of the interaction of K mesons with the nuclei of light elements, contained in the emulsion.

A theory of the azimuthal bunching of electrons injected into the betatron is presented and compared with the experiments described in [1]. The bunching is treated as a small perturbation of the stationary beam.The stationary injected beam is replaced by the corresponding equilibrium beam of the same perveance so that the angular velocity spread of the injected electrons is proportional to the square root of the injection perveance.Self-consistent wave solutions for the perturbation of the stationary solution are then found. Equations giving the amplification of small density or energy disturbances along the beam are derived. These disturbances are assumed to be introduced by density or velocity modulation of the injected beam. The condition for the spontaneous occurrence of bunching is deduced by assuming that the disturbances do not vanish even when there is no modulation of the injected beam. The resulting expressions for the threshold perveance and the rise-time of the disturbance are in reasonably good agreement with the experiments. Such agreement may be considered as further verification of the statement made in [1] that the amplification of the disturbances is caused by the negative mass instability mechanism.

The process of the propagation of excitation energy in perturbed dielectric crystals with a weak bond between the atoms having zero permanent dipole moment is studied. It is shown that on certain assumptions this process of propagation can be regarded as the motion of a Frenkel exciton in the electrostatic field of the defect. Frenkel's exciton can be characterized in this case as a neutral polarizable particle having induced dipole moment equal to the change in the induced dipole moment of the crystal during the excitation of one of its atoms.

Zusammenfassung Es werden die Ergebnisse der Messungen der Koerzitivkraft von Eisen, Nickel und einiger Fe-Ni-Legierungen in Abhängigkeit von der plastischen Verformung durch Kaltwalzen angegeben. Gemessen wurde in Richtung parallel und senkrecht zur Walzrichtung. Die Ergebnisse werden insbesondere vom Gesichtspunkt des Einflusses der Versetzungen und der einachsigen induzierten Anisotropie diskutiert.

Zusammenfassung Durch künstliche Senkung der Temperatur der Fackelentladung geht diese Entladung in eine Hochfrequenz-Korona über. Wenn die Temperatur der Entladung sinkt, wächst in ihr die elektrische Feldstärke; dadurch werden die Bedingungen des thermodynamischen Gleichgewichts gestört und es beginnt der Übergang von der thermischen zur elektrischen Ionisation. Die Erläuterung wird durch die Spektralanalyse und das Studium der Fackelentladung mittels einer zeitlich zerlegten Photographie ergänzt.

The Gelfand-Levitan equation for the kernelP(r, r) (withrr) is formulated and then applied for determining the scattering potential in the scattering of slow neutrons on protons (for the case when the dependence of the nuclear forces on the spins can be neglected and onlys-scattering need be considered). The potentials obtained are the same as the Bargmann ones, found by a different method.

The room-temperature decomposition of metastable phases in the Al-Zn alloys (from 25 to 50 wt. % Zn) was studied by the transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Metastable phases, i.e. G.-P. zones, R-and -phases, were grown at 200 °C and their decomposition into equilibrium -phase at 20 °C was investigated. Ageing times comprised 1 to 999 days.Both the decomposition mechanism and the rate of decomposition of coherent phases were found to be dependent on the particle sizes and their density reached at 200 °C. The local vacancy supersaturation around the -nucleus in a dense system of G.-P. zones leads to an enhanced growth rate of such nucleus and thus to the formation of one large -precipitate at the expense of several neighbouring G.-P. zones. The elastic stress field around this -particle promotes the further nucleation and growth of -precipitates and leads to their gradual spread throughout the matrix. The decomposition of intermediately sized Rprecipitates results in the development of -precipitates of comparable sizes nucleated on the array of misfit dislocations at the periphery of R-precipitates. The cooperative effect between neighbouring particles does not influence the decomposition of large R-precipitated which split then into several smaller -particles. The rate of G.-P. zones or R to -decomposition increases with the increasing sizes of transition precipitates and with the zinc content of the alloy. The kinetics of to -decomposition was found to be independent both on the annealing time at 200 °C and on the investigated alloy composition. This can be attributed to the constant density of misfit dislocations as nucleation sites for -precipitates along the -matrix interface and to the large mutual separation of -precipitates in all these alloys.In conclusion we would like to express our thanks to Doc. The applicability of Tiller's considerations on the production of dislocations is proved. The density of dislocations appearing during impurity microsegregation increases with increasing rate of growth as a consequence of the corresponding change in the effective distribution coefficient. The real value of C at the microsegregation boundaries is at least twice as great as the average value of the concentration of impurities in the crystal in question.

We simulate the classical diffusion of a particle of massM in an infinite one-dimensional system of hard point particles of massm in equilibrium. Each computer run corresponds to about 108 collisions of the diffusive particle. We find that (t) 1/t fort large enough, and a crossover from an M m regime where=2 to=3 forM=m. The diffusion constant has a sharp maximum atM=m. We study moments x(t)2 and x(t)4, and examine the behavior ofq 2 (t)=x(t)4/3x(t)22. We find thatq(t)1 (consistent with a normal distribution) in theM limit (for all timest) and in the t limit for allM. The microstructure of fiber-like SiC/Si3N4 composite particulate was investigated using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy techniques. The SiC/Si3N4 composite particulate consisted of a-SiC core and a -Si3N4 outer shell. Two kinds of composite particulate were distinguished when the observed orientation of the SiC core was <110>. In one type of the SiC/Si3N4 composite particulate, a crystal relationship of (111)-SiC | (102) -Si3N4 and (111)-SiC (114) -Si3N4 was identified; in the other type of the SiC/Si3N4 composite particulate, a crystal relationship of (111)-SiC (001) -Si3N4, and (111)-SiC (101) -Si3N4 was observed.  相似文献
