Some common fixed point theorems due to Abbas and Khan [M. Abbas, A.R. Khan, Common fixed points of generalized contractive hybrid pairs in symmetric spaces, Fixed Point Theor. Appl. 2009 (2009) 11, Article ID 869407, doi:10.1155/2009/869407], and Abbas and Rhoades [M. Abbas, B.E. Rhoades, Common fixed point theorems for hybrid pairs of occasionally weakly compatible mappings defined on symmetric spaces, Pan. Amer. Math. J. 18 (1) (2008) 55-62] are proved for two new classes of hybrid pair of mappings which contain occasionally weakly compatible hybrid pairs as a proper subclass. Consequently, some results proved by Hussain et al. [N. Hussain, M.A. Khamsi, A. Latif, Common fixed points for JH-operators and occasionally weakly biased pairs under relaxed conditions, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011) 2133-2140], Bhatt et al. [A. Bhatt, et al., Common fixed point theorems for occasionally weakly compatible mappings under relaxed conditions, Nonlinear Anal. 73 (2010) 176-182] and many others are extended to hybrid pair of mappings. Examples are also presented to support the concepts defined in the paper.  相似文献

Brualdi et al. [Codes with a poset metric, Discrete Math. 147 (1995) 57-72] introduced the concept of poset codes, and gave an example of poset structure which admits the extended binary Golay code to be a 4-error-correcting perfect P-code. In this paper we classify all of the poset structures which admit the extended binary Golay code to be a 4-error-correcting perfect P-code, and show that there are no posets which admit the extended binary Golay code to be a 5-error-correcting perfect P-code.  相似文献

In this paper, the geometric meaning of (α,β)-norms is made clear. On this basis, a new class of Finsler metrics called general (α,β)-metrics are introduced, which are defined by a Riemannian metric and a 1-form. These metrics not only generalize (α,β)-metrics naturally, but also include some metrics structured by R. Bryant. The spray coefficients formula of some kinds of general (α,β)-metrics is given and the projective flatness is also discussed.  相似文献

We give the Ramsey number for a disjoint union of some G-good graphs versus a graph G generalizing the results of Stahl (1975) [5] and Baskoro et al. (2006) [1] and the previous result of the author Bielak (2009) [2]. Moreover, a family of G-good graphs with s(G)>1 is presented.  相似文献

The recently introduced atom-bond connectivity (ABC) index has been applied up until now to study the stability of alkanes and the strain energy of cycloalkanes. Furtula et al. (2009) [3] obtained extremal ABC values for chemical trees, and also, it has been shown that the star K1,n−1, has the maximal ABC value of trees. In this paper, we present the lower and upper bounds on ABC index of graphs and trees, and characterize graphs for which these bounds are best possible.  相似文献

We extend the notion of L2-B-discrepancy introduced in [E. Novak, H. Wo?niakowski, L2 discrepancy and multivariate integration, in: W.W.L. Chen, W.T. Gowers, H. Halberstam, W.M. Schmidt, and R.C. Vaughan (Eds.), Analytic Number Theory. Essays in Honour of Klaus Roth, Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, 2009, pp. 359-388] to what we shall call weighted geometric L2-discrepancy. This extension enables us to consider weights in order to moderate the importance of different groups of variables, as well as to consider volume measures different from the Lebesgue measure and classes of test sets different from measurable subsets of Euclidean spaces.We relate the weighted geometric L2-discrepancy to numerical integration defined over weighted reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces and settle in this way an open problem posed by Novak and Wo?niakowski.Furthermore, we prove an upper bound for the numerical integration error for cubature formulas that use admissible sample points. The set of admissible sample points may actually be a subset of the integration domain of measure zero. We illustrate that particularly in infinite-dimensional numerical integration it is crucial to distinguish between the whole integration domain and the set of those sample points that actually can be used by the algorithms.  相似文献

Recently, Barreira and Schmeling (2000) [1] and Chen and Xiong (1999) [2] have shown, that for self-similar measures satisfying the SSC the set of divergence points typically has the same Hausdorff dimension as the support K. It is natural to ask whether we obtain a similar result for self-similar measures satisfying the OSC. However, with only the OSC satisfied, we cannot do most of the work on a symbolic space and then transfer the results to the subsets of Rd, which makes things more difficult. In this paper, by the box-counting principle we show that the set of divergence points has still the same Hausdorff dimension as the support K for self-similar measures satisfying the OSC.  相似文献

The combination of the rough set theory, vague set theory and fuzzy set theory is a novel research direction in dealing with incomplete and imprecise information. This paper mainly concerns the problem of how to construct rough approximations of a vague set in fuzzy approximation space. Firstly, the β-operator and its complement operator are introduced, and some new properties are examined. Secondly, the approximation operators are constructed based on β-(complement) operator. Meantime, λ-lower (upper) approximation is firstly proposed, and then some properties of two types of approximation operators are studied. Afterwards, for two different kinds of approximation operators, we introduce two roughness measure methods of the same vague set and discuss a property. Finally, an example is given to illustrate how to calculate the rough approximations and roughness measure of a vague set using the β-(complement) product between two fuzzy matrixes. The results show that the proposed rough approximations and roughness measure of a vague set in fuzzy environment are reasonable.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that the αm,2-invariant (introduced by Tian (1991) [27] and (1997) [29]) of a smooth cubic surface with Eckardt points is strictly bigger than . This can be used to simplify Tian's original proof of the existence of Kähler-Einstein metrics on such manifolds. We also sketch the computations on cubic surfaces with one ordinary double points, and outline the analytic difficulties to prove the existence of orbifold Kähler-Einstein metrics.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish Ekeland’s variational principle and an equilibrium version of Ekeland’s variational principle for vectorial multivalued mappings in the setting of separated, sequentially complete uniform spaces. Our approaches and results are different from those in Chen et al. (2008), Hamel (2005), and Lin and Chuang (2010) [13], [14] and [15]. As applications of our results, we study vectorial Caristi’s fixed point theorems and Takahashi’s nonconvex minimization theorems for multivalued mappings and their equivalent forms in a separated, sequentially complete uniform space. We also apply our results to study maximal element theorems, which are unified methods of several variational inclusion problems. Our results contain many known results in the literature Fang (1996) [21], and will have many applications in nonlinear analysis.  相似文献

This paper introduces an iteration scheme for viscosity approximation of a zero of accretive operator in a reflexive Banach space with weakly continuous duality mapping. A new iterative sequence is introduced and strong convergence of the algorithm {xn} is proved. The results improve and extend the results of Su [Xiaolong Qin, Yongfu Su, Approximation of a zero point of accretive operator in Banach spaces, J. Math. Anal. In Nicolaescu (2008) [7] the number of non-homologically equivalent excellent Morse functions defined on S2 was obtained in the differentiable setting. We carried out an analogous study in the discrete setting for some kinds of graphs, including S1, in Ayala et al. (2009) [1]. This paper completes this study, counting excellent discrete Morse functions defined on any infinite locally finite graph.  相似文献

Let G=(V,E) be a graph and let r≥1 be an integer. For a set DV, define Nr[x]={yV:d(x,y)≤r} and Dr(x)=Nr[x]∩D, where d(x,y) denotes the number of edges in any shortest path between x and y. D is known as an r-identifying code (r-locating-dominating set, respectively), if for all vertices xV (xV?D, respectively), Dr(x) are all nonempty and different. Roberts and Roberts [D.L. Roberts, F.S. Roberts, Locating sensors in paths and cycles: the case of 2-identifying codes, European Journal of Combinatorics 29 (2008) 72-82] provided complete results for the paths and cycles when r=2. In this paper, we provide results for a remaining open case in cycles and complete results in paths for r-identifying codes; we also give complete results for 2-locating-dominating sets in cycles, which completes the results of Bertrand et al. [N. Bertrand, I. Charon, O. Hudry, A. Lobstein, Identifying and locating-dominating codes on chains and cycles, European Journal of Combinatorics 25 (2004) 969-987].  相似文献

The paper encompasses a complete study of the weak-star extensibility of subspaces of Banach spaces introduced by B.S. Mordukhovich and B. Wang when studying the restrictive metric regularity in variational analysis. Many useful properties are presented; in particular, a new point of view and formulation of the property in the framework of Banach space theory is established. We also propose the concept of weak-star extensible Banach spaces that has interesting applications, and is fairly broad in that it contains many important classes of Banach spaces. Some further applications of this extensibility to the theory of linear operators between Banach spaces are also explored.  相似文献

(2011) [15] and Savas and Das (2011) [19] we apply the notion of ideals to strong matrix summability, and in this note, we introduce the notion of strong AI-summability with respect to an Orlicz function. [E. Steingrímsson, Statistics on ordered partitions of sets, arXiv: math.CO/0605670] introduced several hard statistics on ordered set partitions and conjectured that their generating functions are related to the q-Stirling numbers of the second kind. In a previous paper, half of these conjectures have been proved by Ishikawa, Kasraoui and Zeng using the transfer-matrix method. In this paper, we shall give bijective proofs of all the conjectures of Steingrímsson. Our basic idea is to encode ordered set partitions by a kind of path diagrams and explore the rich combinatorial properties of the latter structure. As a bonus of our approach, we derive two new σ-partition interpretations of the p,q-Stirling numbers of the second kind introduced by Wachs and White. We also discuss the connections with MacMahon's theorem on the equidistribution of the inversion number and major index on words and give a partition version of his result.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the study of a new special function, which is called, according to the symbol used to represent this function, as an Aleph function. This function is an extension of the I-function, which itself is a generalization of the well-known and familiar G- and H-functions in one variable. In this paper, a notation and complete definition of the Aleph function will be presented. Fractional integration of the Aleph functions, in which the argument of the Aleph function contains a factor tλ(1 − t)μ, λ, μ > 0, will be investigated. The results derived are of most general character and include many results given earlier by various authors including Kilbas [10], Kilbas and Saigo [11] and Galué [6] and others. The results obtained form the key formulae for the results on various potentially useful special functions of physical and biological sciences and technology available in the literature.  相似文献

Proposing them as a general framework, Liu and Yu (2001) [6] introduced (n,k,d)-graphs to unify the concepts of deficiency of matchings, n-factor-criticality and k-extendability. Let G be a graph and let n,k and d be non-negative integers such that n+2k+d+2?|V(G)| and |V(G)|−nd is even. If on deleting any n vertices from G the remaining subgraph H of G contains a k-matching and each k-matching can be extended to a defect-d matching in H, then G is called an (n,k,d)-graph. In this paper, we obtain more properties of (n,k,d)-graphs, in particular the recursive relations of (n,k,d)-graphs for distinct parameters n,k and d. Moreover, we provide a characterization for maximal non-(n,k,d)-graphs.  相似文献

The zeroth-order general Randi? index 0Rα(G) of the graph G is defined as ∑uV(G)d(u)α, where the summation goes over all vertices of G and α is an arbitrary real number. In this paper we correct the proof of the main Theorem 3.5 of the paper by Hu et al. [Y. Hu, X. Li, Y. Shi, T. Xu, Connected (n,m)-graphs with minimum and maximum zeroth-order general Randi? index, Discrete Appl. Math. 155 (8) (2007) 1044-1054] and give a more general Theorem. We finally characterize 1 for α<0 the connected G(n,m)-graphs with maximum value 0Rα(G(n,m)), where G(n,m) is a simple connected graph with n vertices and m edges.  相似文献

Part II: De Rham homology and noncommutative algebra, Publ. Math. Inst. Hautes Études Sci. 62 (1985) 257-360; A. Connes, Cyclic cohomology and the transverse fundamental class of a foliation, in: H. Araki, G. Effros (Eds.), Geometric Methods in Operator Algebras, Pitman Res. Notes Math. Ser., vol. 123, Longman, Harlow, 1986, pp. 52-144] between cyclic cohomology and K-theory, we then evaluate this cocycle on a suitable K-theory class and obtain a nontrivial result, for foliations of the 3-torus by slope components.  相似文献
