In this paper, the block pulse functions (BPFs) and their operational matrix are used to solve two-dimensional Fredholm-Volterra integral equations (F-VIE). This method converts F-VIE to systems of linear equations whose solutions are the coefficients of block pulse expansions of the solutions of F-VIE.Finally some numerical examples are presented to show the efficiency and accuracy of the method.  相似文献

We consider one class of Abel's equation with ill-posed natures. The stable approximate solution is obtained by using the well-known Tikhonov's regularization approach. In this paper, stochastic Volterra equations driven by cylindrical Wiener process in Hilbert space are investigated. Sufficient conditions for existence of strong solutions are given. We prove maximal regularity results of type Lp for abstract parabolic Volterra equations including problems with inhomogeneous boundary data. Our approach is purely operator theoretic. It uses the inversion of the convolution, the Dore-Venni theorem, the Mikhlin theorem in the operator-valued version, and real interpolation. Known results on Lp-regularity of abstract Cauchy problems and abstract parabolic pdes with inhomogeneous boundary conditions are recovered. As an application we consider the heat equation of memory type with inhomogeneous boundary condition.  相似文献

In this survey paper, the author examines nonlinear Volterra integral equations of the second kind with solutions that blow-up or quench. The focus is on analytical results, although a few words about numerical solutions for such equations are provided. The integral equations arise in the mathematical modeling of thermal processes within a reactive–diffusive medium. The scope of this review is on the published literature between 1997 and 2005, serving as an update to a previous review by the same author.  相似文献

We study the blowing-up behavior of solutions of a class of nonlinear integral equations of Volterra type that is connected with parabolic partial differential equations with concentrated nonlinearities. We study a nonlocal diffusion model analogous to heat equation with Neumann boundary conditions. We prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions and a comparison principle. Furthermore, we analyze the asymptotic behavior of the solutions as the temporal variable goes to infinity and the boundary datum depends only on a spacial variable.  相似文献

Given aL1(R) and the generator A of an L1-integrable resolvent family of linear bounded operators defined on a Banach space X, we prove the existence of compact almost automorphic solutions of the semilinear integral equation for each f:R×XX compact almost automorphic in t, for each xX, and satisfying Lipschitz and Hölder type conditions. Hamiltonian Path/Cycle are well known NP-complete problems on general graphs, but their complexity status for permutation graphs has been an open question in algorithmic graph theory for many years. In this paper, we prove that theHamiltonian Path problem is solvable in polynomial time even for the larger class of cocomparability graphs. Our result is based on a nice relationship between Hamiltonian paths and the bump number of partial orders. As another consequence we get a new interpretation of the bump number in terms of path partitions, leading to polynomial time solutions of theHamiltonian Path/Cycle Completion problems in cocomparability graphs.This research was supported in part by ONR for third author and by NSERC under grant number A1798 for fourth author.  相似文献

This paper extends the class of integral equations whose solutions can be generated from a finite number of particular cases to include those of Sturm-Liouville type, including the case where the associated operators are not self-adjoint. An explicit expression for the resolvent operator is generated from two particular solutions, in a form amenable to the use of approximation techniques. A usable estimate of the norm of the inverse operator is obtained even in cases where approximate solutions have to be used.  相似文献
