IR and Raman spectra have been investigated for imidazolate and 4-methylimidazolate including five and three deuterated analogs, respectively. Assignment of the observed IR and Raman bands has been made on the basis of isotopic frequency shifts, Raman polarization properties, and normal coordinate calculations. The calculated normal frequencies are in good agreement with experimental ones: the average error below 1600 cm−1 is 4.5 cm−1 for 104 in-plane vibrations and 3.8 cm−1 for 43 out-of-plane vibrations. The calculated vibrational modes are useful in analyzing the Raman bands of histidine residues in proteins.  相似文献

The i.r. spectra of gaseous trans-1,2-dichlorocyclopropane were measured from 4000 to 400 cm−1 and to 200 cm−1 in the liquid phase. The Raman spectrum of the liquid was obtained from 4000 to 50 cm−1. An assignment of all 21 normal vibrations was proposed on the basis of i.r. vapour phase band contours, Raman depolarization ratios, expected group frequencies and comparison with closely related molecules. There is excellent agreement with the normal modes previously assigned for the cis and trans isomers of the chloro, bromo and iodo analogues. The data indicate little interaction between the two CHCl moieties.  相似文献

Raman and i.r. spectra of tetramethylcyclobutane-1-one-3-thione (TMCBOT) and the fully deuterated derivative TMCBOT-d12 have been recorded. A fairly complete set of vibrational frequencies and assignments are given for the two molecules. The CO stretching mode was observed as a very strong Fermi doublet in the infrared spectrum of TMCBOT at 1811/1782 cm−1. For TMCBOT-d12 a similar doublet was observed at 1808/1775 cm−1. The CS stretching mode was assigned to bands at 1303 cm−1 for TMCBOT and 1307 cm−1 for the deuterated molecule.  相似文献

Raman spectrum of the meso tetraphenylporphine (TPP) deposited onto smooth copper surface as thin film were recorded in the region 200–1700 cm−1. To investigate the effect of meso-phenyl substitution rings on the vibrational spectrum of free base porphyrin, we calculated Raman and infrared (IR) spectra of the meso-tetraphenylporphine (TPP), meso tetramethylporphine (TMP), copper (II)porphine (CuPr) and free base porphine (FBP) at the B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) level of the density functional theory (DFT). The observed Raman spectrum of the TPP is assigned based on the calculated its Raman spectrum in connection with the calculated spectra of the TMP, CuPr and FBP by taking into account of their corresponding vibrational motions of the Raman modes of frequencies. Results of the calculations clearly indicated that the meso tetraphenyl substitution rings are totally responsible for the observed Raman bands at ∼1593, 1234 and 1002 cm−1. The calculated and observed Raman spectra also suggested that the observed Raman band with a medium intense at 962 cm−1 might result from the surface plasmon effect. Furthermore, the observed Raman bands with medium intense at ∼334 and ∼201 cm−1 are as results of the dimerization or aggregation of the TPP or would be that related to intramolecular interaction. We also calculated IR spectra of these molecules at same level of the theory. To investigate the solvent effect on the vibrational spectrum of porphine, the Raman and IR spectra of the TPP and FBP are calculated in solution phase where water used as solvent. The results of these calculation indicated that there is no any significant effect on the vibrational spectrum of the TPP.  相似文献

Low temperature Raman spectroscopy has led to a significant revision in the assignment of the vibrational fundamentals of sulfuryl chloride fluoride (SO2FCl). The fundamentals in cm−1 are: (a′) 1230, 826, 632, 503, 422, 295; (a″) 1469, 476, 303. All are from gas-phase i.r. spectra except 295 cm−1, which is from the liquid-phase Raman spectrum. The revised assignments are consistent with the predictions of Pfeiffer's normal coordinate calculations [Z. phys. chem., Leipzig 240, 380 (1969)].  相似文献

The low-frequency region of the infrared and Raman spectra of nitric acid hydrates is analyzed. Theoretical calculations of the vibrational normal modes of the crystals of nitric acid monohydrate and the β-phases of the dihydrate and trihydrate are carried out, focusing the results in the regions below 175 cm−1 and near the symmetric stretch of the nitrate ion NO3, around 1000–1100 cm−1. A prediction of the corresponding infrared spectra is presented. A joint study is performed of the calculated normal modes, the predicted IR spectra, and the recently published Raman spectra of these compounds, based on symmetry considerations and using the atomic displacements associated to each normal mode as a further source of information. Although most of the modes present a strong mixture of atomic motions, assignments can be proposed for some of the vibrations.  相似文献

A general assignment of the vibrational spectra of terephthalonitrile and terephthalonitrile-15N2 is proposed on the basis of their infrared and Raman spectra. The relevant symmetry is found to be D2h. The force field for the out-of-plane vibrations of these molecules was calculated by refining the general quadratic force field obtained by the semi-empirical MINDO/3 method, starting with a geometry optimized by this method. The refined force field reproduces the observed frequencies of the out-of-plane vibrations to better than ±0.5 cm−1.  相似文献

Two bands appear for each CN stretching and nitro deformation vibration in the infrared and Raman spectra of m-dinitrobenzene and m-dinitrobenzene-d4. The 907 cm?1 bending mode in the vibrational spectra of m-dinitrobenzene undergo 30 cm?1 upward shift upon d4 substitution. A normal coordinate analysis pointed out that the 937 cm?1 bending and 727 cm?1 CN stretching vibrations as well as 18b CD in-plane deformation are mixed to a great extent. The other nitro bending mode undergo also an inverse isotopic effect (2 cm?1 upward shift) due to coupling with the 18a CD in-plane deformation vibration.  相似文献

The results of ab initio SCF-MO calculations performed with a 3-21G(N*) basis set, for fully optimized geometries of five conformations of n-propylamine, are presented. The calculated relative order of total energies for these conformers is TT≈GG′>TG>GT>GG. At 300 K, the Boltzmann distribution of populations is 18, 37, 20, 19 and 7%, respectively.Raman spectra of n-propylamine and n-propylamine-N-d2 in the liquid phase exhibit a number of bands whose temperature-dependent intensities clearly suggest the occurrence of different conformers in simultaneous equilibria. Deuteration of the amine group originates pairs of Raman bands at 428 and 440 cm−1 and at 863 and 885 cm−1. The bands at 428 and 885 cm−1 are favoured by reduction of temperature. Normal coordinate calculations permit the assignment of the Raman and i.r. spectra in good agreement with experimental evidence. Among the five possible conformers of n-propylamine, it is possible to detect the presence of at least three conformations in the liquid phase, corresponding to the skeletal trans (TT and GT) and at least one of the skeletal gauche (TG, GG or GG′) forms. In the solid phase, only the bands ascribed to the TT form were observed. The ab initio results for the isolated molecule show that the all-trans conformation, TT, and the conformation GG′ have the smallest energies. On the other hand, the vibrational results for the liquid and solid phases indicate that the all-trans conformation, TT, is the more populated form. In addition, this conformer presents the highest calculated dipole moment, in good agreement with the liquid phase Raman spectroscopic results which point out that this conformation is favoured by polar solvents. Intermolecular interactions operating in the liquid n-propylamine, possibly of the hydrogen bonding type, are responsible for altering the relative order of conformational stability as predicted by the ab initio SCF-MO results for the isolated molecule.  相似文献

The i.r. and Raman spectra (30–4000 cm−1) of 1-formyl-3-thiosemicarbazide (FTSC) and deuterated ftsc-d4, have been studied. Most of the vibration modes reveal pairs of bands and show strong temperature dependence. A band group {ν(NNH2)} at ∼ 1100 cm−1 exhibits well resolved doublet (1095 and 1112 cm−1) structure below 100 k. The intensity in the 11 12 cm−1 band decreases regularly (band disappears at 150 K) with the rise in temperature. Two new bands at 955 and 1070 cm−1 appear while measured above 400 K. The system eventually exists in several conformers in simultaneous equilibria. Moreover, a few bands {e.g. ν(CO), ν(CS) and ν(CH)} that show strong intensifies in i.r. exhibit weak (or zero) intensifies in the Raman and vice-versa. The features (characteristic of u and g vibration species) could be explained by a C2h pseudo symmetry space group proposed for the system. Both the FTSC and FTSC-d4 represent strong molecular associations. This favours the maximum abundance in the dimer stabilized conformers.  相似文献

Resonance Raman spectra have been obtained in the region 400–1700 cm−1 for several indolinium steryl dyes under various experimental conditions. The changes in vibrational frequencies have been correlated with changes in the UV—vis absorption maxima observed previously and which are due to solvent polarity variations, the complexation of the dye molecules containing a crown ether ring with Mg2+, and the variations in molecular structure. Preliminary assignments of the observed bands to particular vibrations are made.  相似文献

High-resolution vibrational spectra of nucleic acid components adsorbed on a silver electrode were obtained using a spectroelectrochemical method based on the large-intensity enhancement for Raman scattering at electrode surfaces. The laser surface Raman spectra of purine, adenine, adenosine, deoxyadenosine, adenine mononucleotides, adenylyl-3′, 5′-adenosine and polyriboadenylic acid were recorded in the range of 150–3500 cm?1. The intensities of the vibrational bands were highly dependent upon the electrochemical preparation of the electrode, the applied potential and the nature of the adsorbate species. High-intensity spectra in rather dilute bulk solutions were obtained. The phosphate derivatives of adenosine exhibited strongly enhanced Raman scattering. Spectral band frequencies corresponded closely with normal Raman spectra of these molecules in solution. The adenine ring breathing mode at 740 cm?1 and the adenine ring skeletal vibration at 1335 cm?1 produced prominent Raman scattering. A strong band at about 240 cm?1 for the adenine mononucleotides was attributed to silver/adsorbed phosphate group vibrations.  相似文献

The Raman spectra (3200–10 cm−1) of ethyl methyl selenide in the gas, liquid and solid phases and the infrared spectra (3200–30 cm−1) of the gas and solid have been recorded. Qualitative depolarization ratios have been obtained for the lines in the Raman spectrum of the liquid. By a variable temperature Raman study of the liquid, it has been determined that the gauche conformer is more stable than the trans rotamer by 158±16 cm−1 (452±46 cal mol−1), and the gauche conformer is the rotamer present in the solid. A complete vibrational assignment for the gauche conformer is presented. All of these data are compared to the corresponding quantities obtained from ab initio Hartree—Fock gradient calculations employing the STO-3G* and 4–31G*/MIDI-4* basis sets. Complete equilibrium geometries have been calculated for both rotamers and the results are discussed and compared with the corresponding quantities for some similar molecules.  相似文献

The surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy of 2,6-dibromopyridine and 2,5-dibromopyridine in silver hydrosol has been studied. A satisfactory correlation has been observed between the normal Raman spectra in aqueous solution and their surface-enhanced Raman (SER) spectra in silver hydrosol. The prominent features in the SER spectra of the compounds are the strongly enhanced peaks at 1175 and 1369 cm−1 due to (py)CBr and (CC,CN)(py) stretching vibrational modes respectively in 2,6-dibromopyridine and almost no enhancement of intensities in those vibrations in 2,5-dibromopyridine.  相似文献

The f.t.i.r. and Raman spectra of triphenylphosphine, triphenylarsine, triphenylstibine, and dibenzylsulphide in the solid state at ca 80 K have been recorded over the ranges 3500-40 cm−1 (infra-red, 1 cm−1 resolution) and 1650-30 cm−1 (Raman, 2 cm−1 resolution). The data, particularly those in the low wavenumber region, are more extensive, more complete, and of higher quality than those obtained in previous studies. Detailed band assignments are given.  相似文献

The gas-phase i.r. spectrum of CH3Br has been studied up to 14 000 cm−1. Some 32 new vibration levels are located accurately, involving up to 5 quanta (V= 5) of excitation in CH stretching. Reproduction of a total of 72 vibration levels is achieved through a joint treatment of CH stretching vibrations in a local mode basis, other vibrations in a normal mode basis, and with the inclusion of two Fermi resonances. The local mode approach satisfactorily accounts for the effects of the large Darling—Dennison vibrational interactions which occur between CH stretching modes. Fermi resonances between CH stretching and overtones of both methyl group deformation vibrations (ν2 and ν5) are treated explicitly. Interacting levels become quasi-degenerate at V = 3 in the case of 2ν5, and at V = 5 in the case of 2ν2. The analysis permits the determination of a complete set of 27 physically representative anharmonicity constants for CH3Br, four of which are interrelated through the local mode model. Data reproduction between 600 and 14 000 cm−1 is achieved with an r.m.s. error of 2.55 cm−1.  相似文献

The Raman spectrum of amorphous biosynthetic human growth hormone, somatotropin, has been measured at high signal-to-noise ratios, using a CW argon ion laser and single channel detection. The rms signal-to-noise ratio varies from 1800:1 in the Amide I region near 1650 cm−1 region, to 500:1 in the disulfide stretch region near 500 cm−1.Component Raman bands have been extracted from the entire spectral envelope from 1800-400 cm−1, by an interactive process involving both partial deconvolution and band-fitting. Interconsistency of all bands has been achieved by multiple overlapping of adjacent regions that had been isolated for the band-fitting programs. The resulting areas of the Raman component bands have been interpreted to show the ratios of peptide conformations in the hormone: 64% α-helix, 24% β-sheet, 8% β-turns and 4% γ-turns. Analysis of the tyrosine region, usually described as a Fermi resonance doublet near ∼830–850 cm−1, shows four bands, at 825, 833, 853, and 859 cm−1 in this macromolecule. Integrated intensities of these bands (2:2:2:2) are interpreted to show that only half of the eight tyrosine residues function as hydrogen-bond bridges via the acceptance of protons. Both disulfide bridges fall within the frequency ranges for normal, unstressed SS bonds: The 511 and 529 cm−1 bands are indicative of the gauche-gauche-gauche and trans-gauche-gauche conformations, respectively.  相似文献

Laser Raman and IR spectra in the region 50–3000 cm−1 for trichloronitromethane and trichloroacetate ions were recorded. All observed vibrational bands have been assigned to normal modes. Normal coordinate analyses of these molecules have been carried out in the valence force-field approximation. A set of force constants was obtained leading to good agreement between observed and calculated frequencies. The relative displacements of the atoms resulting from normal coordinate calculations were used to compute the IR band intensity of each mode by the CNDO/2-MO procedure. The intensity calculations confirmed the assignments and supported the calculated force constants.  相似文献

The infrared (3200-30 cm−1) and Raman (3200-10 cm−1) spectra of gaseous and solid methylisocyanate, CH3NCO, have been recorded. Additionally, the Raman spectrum of the liquid has been obtained and qualitative depolarization ratios have been measured. The CNC bend has been observed in the far infrared and low frequency Raman spectra of the gas at approximately 172 cm−1. An additional far infrared band at ≈50 cm−1 has tentatively been assigned as the methyl torsional mode, although it could be due to the Δν = 1, Δl = ± 1 transitions of the CNC bending mode. A complete assignment of the vibrational fundamentals is proposed. The structural parameters, force constants, and vibrational frequencies have been determined from ab initio Hartree—Fock gradient calculations using the 6-31G* basis set. Additionally, structural parameters have been obtained with the 6-311 + + G** basis set with electron correlation at the MP2 level which are compared to those obtained from the microwave data and electron diffraction study. These results are compared with the corresponding quantities obtained for similar molecules.  相似文献

The IR spectra of gaseous and solid hexamethyldisilane between 4000 and 25 cm−1 and the far-IR spectrum of the liquids from 450 to 25 cm−1 have been recorded. The Raman spectra have been recorded from 3500 to 10 cm−1 for all three physical phases. Assisted by ab initio calculations, the vibrational spectrum of hexamethyldisilane has been assigned under D3d symmetry and the results of a normal coordinate analysis are discussed. No spectral features indicative of free internal rotation have been observed. Gradient ab initio calculations have been carried out for the disilane and hexamethyldisilane molecules using different types of basis sets. The structural parameters, rotational constants, unscaled and scaled frequencies and harmonic force constants have been reported for both disilane and hexamethyldisilane.  相似文献
