Preparation, Properties, and Crystal Structure of RuSn6[(Al1/3–xSi3x/4)O4]2 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1/3) – an Oxide with isolated RuSn6 Octahedra RuSn6[(Al1/3–xSi3x/4)O4]2 is obtained by the solid state reaction of RuO2, SnO2, Sn, and Si in an Al2O3‐crucible at 1273 to 1373 K. The compound is cubic with the space group Fm 3 m (a = 9.941(1) Å, Z = 4, R1 = 0.0277, wR2 = 0.0619), a semiconductor and stable in air. Results of Mößbauer measurements as well as bond length‐bond strength calculations justify the ionic formulation Ru2+Sn62+[(Al1/3–x3+Si3x/44+)O42–]2. The central motif of the crystal structure are separated RuSn6‐octahedrea. These are interconnected by oxygen atoms, arranged tetrahedrely above the surfaces of the RuSn6‐octahedrea and partialy filled with Al and Si, respectively. Because of these features the compound can be considered as a variant of the crystal structure type of pentlandite.  相似文献

Nitrido-Sodalites. II. Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Properties of M(6+(y/2)–x)H2x[P12N24]Zy with M = Fe, Co, Ni, Mn; Z = Cl, Br, I; 0 ≤ x ≤ 4; y ≤ 2 The nitrido sodalites M(6+(y/2)–x)H2x[P12N24]Zy with M = Fe, Co, Ni, Mn; Z = Cl, Br, I; 0 ≤ x ≤ 4; y ≤ 2 are obtained by the reaction of HPN2 or [PN(NH2)2]3 with the metal halogenide MZ2 (T = 700°C). The compounds are isotypic to Zn(7–x)H2x[P12N24]Cl2. An increase of the ionic radii of the cations or anions results in an expansion of the lattice which is caused by an increase of the P? N? P angle. The influence of the cation is more dominant than that of the anion. By reacting [PN(NH2)2]3 with metal halogenide (MZ2) hydrogen free, X-ray amorphous products are obtained. The formation of the chloride-containing P? N-sodalite in this reaction begins at temperatures below 450°C.  相似文献

[PtIn6][GaO4]2 – The First Oxide Containing [PtIn6] Octahedra. Preparation, Characterisation, and Rietveld Refinement – With a Remark to the Solid Solution Series [PtIn6][GaO4]2‐x[InO4]x (0 < x ≤ 1) The novel oxides [PtIn6][GaO4]2–x[InO4]x (0 < x ≤ 1) are formed by heating intimate mixtures of Pt, In, In2O3, and Ga2O3 in the corresponding stoichiometric ratio in corundum crucibles under an atmosphere of argon (1220 K, 70 h). The compounds are black, stable in air at room temperature, reveal a semiconducting behaviour, and decompose only in oxidizing acids. X‐ray powder diffraction patterns can be indexed by assuming a face centered cubic unit cell with lattice parameters ranging from a = 1001.3(1) pm (x = 0) to a = 1009.3(1) pm (x = 1). According to a Rietveld refinement [PtIn6][GaO4]2 crystallizes isotypic to the mineral Pentlandite (Fm3m, Z = 4, R(profile) = 6.11%, R(intensity) = 3.95%). The characteristic building units are isolated [PtIn6]10+ octahedra which are linked via [GaO4]5– tetrahedra to a three dimensional framework. Starting from [PtIn6][GaO4]2 the substitution of Ga3+ ions by larger In3+ ions leads to the formation of a solid solution series according to the general formula [PtIn6][GaO4]2–x[InO4]x and becomes apparent in an increase of the lattice parameter.  相似文献

According to the single‐crystal X‐ray structure solution Ce4(B2N4)N crystallizes in the space group C2/m (Z = 2) with the lattice parameters a = 1238.2(1) pm, b = 357.32(3) pm, c = 905.21(7) pm and β = 129.700(1)°. The anisotropic structure refinement converged at R1 = 0.039 and wR2 = 0.099 for all independent reflections. A structure rational for nitridoborates and nitridoborate nitrides containing B2N4 ions with the general formula Ln3+x(B2N4)Nx with x = 0, 1, 2 is presented.  相似文献

Sm2Si3O3N4 was obtained by the reaction of SrCO3, Si(NH)2, and the respective lanthanoides, for Ln2Si2.5Al0.5O3.5N3.5 (Ln = Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd) additionally AlN was used. The compounds were obtained as coarsely crystalline products. Their crystal structures were refined on the basis of single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction data. Sm2Si3O3N4 (a = 768.89(4), c = 499.60(4) pm) and the isotypic sialons Ce2Si2.5Al0.5O3.5N3.5 (a = 779.20(3), c = 506.94(4) pm), Pr2Si2.5Al0.5O3.5N3.5 (a = 778.26(4), c = 508.56(5) pm), Nd2Si2.5Al0.5O3.5N3.5 (a = 776.15(4), c = 506.7(3) pm), Sm2Si2.5Al0.5O3.5N3.5 (a = 772.63(13), c = 502.80(9) pm), and Gd2Si2.5Al0.5O3.5N3.5 (a = 774.15(5), c = 506.46(4) pm) are new representatives of the N‐containing melilite structure type (space group P 4 21m (no. 113), Z = 2). For the structure analysis specific models were applied, which have been developed by Werner et al. on the basis of powder diffraction data.  相似文献

Nd3Si5AlON10 – Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Properties of a Sialon Isotypic with La3Si6N11 Nd3Si5AlON10 was synthesized by the reaction of silicon diimide, aluminium nitride, aluminium oxide, and neodymium in a pure nitrogen atmosphere at 1650 °C using a radiofrequency furnace. The compound was obtained as a coarsely crystalline solid. According to the single‐crystal structure determination the title compound is isotypic with Ln3Si6N11 (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm). Nd3Si5AlON10 (P4bm, a = 1007.8(1), c = 486.3(1) pm, Z = 2, R1 = 0.016, wR2 = 0.031) is built up by a three‐dimensional network structure of corner sharing SiON3 and (Si/Al)N4 tetrahedra (molar ratio Si : Al = 3 : 1). According to lattice energetic calculations using the MAPLE concept a differentiation of O and N seems to be reasonable. One of the two different sites for the tetrahedral centres is probably occupied by Si (distances: Si–O: 168.4(1), Si–N: 173.6(3)–176.0(4) pm) the second site by Si and Al with the molar ratio 3 : 1 (distances: (Si/Al)–N: 172.0(3)–176.6(2) pm). The Nd3+ ions are located in the voids of the (Si5AlON10)9– framework (distances: Nd–O: 261.07(8), Nd–N: 246.1(2)–286.6(2) pm).  相似文献

IrIn7GeO8 = [IrIn6](GeO4)(InO4) and Compounds of the Solid Solution Series [IrIn6](Ge1+xIn1?4x/3O8) (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.75): First Oxides containing [IrIn6] Octahedra The low valent indiumoxides IrIn7GeO8 = [IrIn6](GeO4)(InO4) and [IrIn6](Ge1+xIn1?4x/3O8) (0 x ≤ 0.75) are formed by heating intimate mixtures of Ir, In, In2O3 and GeO2 in corundum crucibles under an atmosphere of argon (1420 K, 70 h). The compounds are black and semiconducting. X‐ray powder diffraction patterns can be indexed on the basis of a face centered cubic unit cell with lattice parameters ranging from a = 1012.3(1) pm (x = 0) to a = 1007.3(1) pm (x = 0.75). Characteristic building units in [IrIn6](Ge1+xIn1?4x/3O8) are isolated [IrIn6]9+ octahedra with short Ir‐In distances of 253.5 pm, which are linked via [GeO4]4? and [InO4]5? tetrahedra to a three dimensional framework. Starting from IrIn7GeO8 = [IrIn6](GeO4)(InO4), the isoelectronic substitution of 4 In3+ ions by 3 Ge4+ ions and one Ge‐vacancy leads to the formation of a solid solution series [IrIn6](GeO4)1+x(O4)x/3(InO4)1?4x/3, which shows a slight decrease in the cubic lattice parameter with increasing x. According to Rietveld refinements the structure of [IrIn6](GeO4)(InO4) exhibits a statistical distribution of the tetrahedrally coordinated Ge and In atoms ( , R(prof.) = 4.4 %, R(int.) = 2.5 %). The crystal and electronic structures of [IrIn6](GeO4)(InO4) are discussed on the basis of first principles electronic structure calculations.  相似文献

Rubidium und Caesium Compounds with the Isopolyanion [Ta6O19]8– – Synthesis, Crystal Structures, Thermogravimetric and Vibrational Spectrocopic Analysis of the Oxotantalates A8[Ta6O19] · n H2O (A = Rb, Cs; n = 0, 4, 14) The compounds A8[Ta6O19] · n H2O (A = Rb, Cs; n = 0, 4, 14) contain the isopoly anion [Ta6O19]8–, which consists of six [TaO6] octahedra connected via corners to form a large octahedron. They transform into each other by reversible hydratation/dehydratation processes, as shown from thermoanalytic measurements (TG/DSC), and show also structural similarities. Cs8[Ta6O19] (tetragonal, I4/m, a = 985.9(1) pm, c = 1403.3(1) pm, Z = 2), the isotypic phases A8[Ta6O19] · 14 H2O (A = Rb/Cs; monoclinic, P21/n, a = 1031.30(6)/1055.4(1) pm, b = 1590.72(9)/1614.9(6) pm, c = 1150.43(6)/1171.4(1) pm, β = 100.060(1)/99.97(2)°, Z = 2) and Rb8[Ta6O19] · 4 H2O (monoclinic, C2/c, a = 1216.9(4) pm, b = 1459.2(5) pm, c = 1414.7(4) pm, β = 90.734(6)°, Z = 4) have been characterised on the basis of single crystal x‐ray data. Furthermore the RAMAN spectra allow a detailled comparison of the hexatantalate ions in the four compounds.  相似文献

Er4F2[Si2O7][SiO4]: The First Rare‐Earth Fluoride Silicate with Two Different Silicate Anions By the reaction of Er2O3 with ErF3 and SiO2 at 700 °C in sealed tantalum capsules using CsCl as flux (molar ratio 5 : 2 : 3 : 20), the compound Er4F2[Si2O7][SiO4] (triclinic, P 1; a = 648.51(5), b = 660.34(5), c = 1324.43(9) pm, α = 87.449(8), β = 85.793(8), γ = 60.816(7)°; Vm = 148.69(1) cm3/mol, Z = 2) is obtained as pale pink platelets or lath‐shaped single crystals. It consists of disilicate anions [Si2O7]6– in eclipsed conformation, ortho‐silicate anions [SiO4]4– and isolated [Er4F2]10+ units comprising two edge‐shared [Er3F] triangles. Er3+ is surrounded by 7 + 1 (Er1) or 7 (Er2–Er4) anionic neighbors, respectively, of which two are F in the case of Er1 and Er4 but only one for Er2 and Er3. The other ligands recruit from oxygen atoms of the different oxosilicate groups. The crystal structure can be described as simple rowing up of the three building groups ([SiO4]4–, [Er4F2]10+, and [Si2O7]6–) along [001]. The necessity of a large excess of fluoride for a successful synthesis of Er4F2[Si2O7][SiO4] will be discussed.  相似文献

Alkali Metal Nitrido Tecto Metallates(VI) with Networks of Six‐membered Rings of Corner‐sharing Tetrahedra [(MNN3/2)6] with M = Mo, W of the Unexpected Composition A9+x[M6N15] with A = Rb, Cs and 0 < x < 1 Reactions of metal powders of Mo and W respectively with amides and azides of Rb and Cs lead to the compounds Rb9+x[W6N15] and Cs9+x[M6N15] with M = Mo, W and 0 < x < 1. The reactions are carried out at 650 °C in autoclaves for salt melts and are finished within 5 d. Crystals of the compounds are embedded in a matrix of the corresponding alkali metal. These metals result from the thermal decomposition of the amides and azides used in high molar ratios. The metals are washed out by liquid ammonia. Besides microcrystalline material of the above mentioned compounds single crystals suitable in size for x‐ray structure determinations were isolated. The compounds crystallize in the space group R3c (No. 167) with Z = 6 and the following lattice constants: Rb9+x[W6N15]: a = 12.743(7) Å, c = 27.794(8) Å, c/a = 2.181 Cs9+x[Mo6N15]: a = 13.104(5) Å, c = 28.430(9) Å, c/a = 2.170 Cs9+x[W6N15]: a = 13.136(5) Å, c = 28.472(6) Å, c/a = 2.167 The metal centres of tetrahedra [MNN3/2] are condensated to cyclohexane analogue six‐membered rings in chair‐form via nitrogen atoms and axial ones connect them to a three‐dimensional network. Nine – as to the formula unit – of the alkali metal atoms are located in vacancies of the anionic partial structure. The residual atoms with 0 < x < 1 centre the six‐membered rings and are coordinated planar hexagonal by N neighbours.  相似文献

Synthesis and Constitution of Fluorothalenite‐Type (Y3F[Si3O10]) Fluoride catena‐ Trisilicates M3F[Si3O10] with the Lanthanides (M = Dy, Ho, Er) By the reaction of the sesquioxides M2O3 with the corresponding trifluorides MF3 (M = Dy, Ho, Er), SiO2 and CsCl as flux (molar ratio: 1 : 1 : 3 : 6; 700 °C, 7 d) in evacuated silica tubes and gastight sealed metal capsules made of platinum, niobium or tantalum, respectively, single crystals of the fluoride silicates M3F[Si3O10] (monoclinic, P21/n; Z = 4; M = Dy: a = 734.06(6), b = 1116.55(9), c = 1040.62(8) pm, β = 97.281(7)°; M = Ho: a = 730.91(6), b = 1111.68(9), c = 1037.83(8) pm, β = 97.238(7)°; M = Er: a = 727.89(6), b = 1107.02(9), c = 1035.21(8) pm, β = 97.209(7)°) were obtained. The most important building groups in the crystal structures of the thalenite type are “isolated” [FM3]8+ triangles and catena‐trisilicate anions [Si3O10]8–, which contain three [SiO4] tetrahedra linked to a chain fragment via common corners. This has the shape of a horseshoe where both the terminal tetrahedra show different conformations (eclipsed and staggered) relative to the central unit. Therefore a chelatizing coordination on the same M3+ cation via oxygen atoms of both terminal [SiO4] groups is possible. The narrow area of existence of these fluoride silicates within the lanthanide series will be discussed and structural comparisons with other catena‐trisilicates are presented.  相似文献

The oxonitridoaluminosilicate chloride Pr10[Si10?xAlxO9+xN17?x]Cl was obtained by the reaction of praseodymium metal, the respective chloride, AlN and Al(OH)3 with “Si(NH)2” in a radiofrequency furnace at temperatures around 1900 °C. The crystal structure was determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (Pbam, no. 55, Z = 2,a = 10.5973(8) Å, b = 11.1687(6) Å, c = 11.6179(7) Å, R1 = 0.0337). The sialon crystallizes isotypically to the oxonitridosilicate halides Ce10[Si10O9N17]Br, Nd10[Si10O9N17]Br and Nd10[Si10O9N17]Cl, which represent a new layered structure type. The structure refinement was performed utilizing an O/N‐distribution model according to Paulings rules, i.e. nitrogen was positioned on all bridging sites and mixed O/Noccupation was assumed on the terminal sites resulting in charge neutrality of the compounds. The Si and Al atoms were refined equally distributed on their three crystallographic sites, due to their poor distinguishability by X‐ray analysis. The tetrahedra layers of the structure consist of condensed [(Si,Al)N2(O,N)2] and [(Si,Al)N3(O,N)] tetrahedra of Q2 and Q3 type. The chemical composition of the compound was derived from electron probe micro analyses (EPMA).  相似文献

Nitrido-silicates. III [1] High-Temperature Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Magnetic Properties of Ce3[Si6N11] Pure Ce3[Si6N11] was obtained as transparent yellow crystals by reaction of metallic cerium with silicon diimide (Ce:Si = 1:2) under nitrogen atmosphere in a specially developed high-frequency furnace at 1660°C. Ce3[Si6N11] (P4bm, a = 1013.7(3), c = 483.9(5) pm, Z = 2, R = 0.034, wR = 0.024) contains Ce3+ ions as well as a three-dimensional covalent anionic network structure of corner-sharing SiN4 tetrahedra. Measurements of the magnetic susceptibility gave no indications for magnetic ordering phenomena in the temperature range between 2 and 300 K. Above 100 K pure Curie-Weiss behaviour (μeff = 2,10 μB, determined at room temperature) was observed.  相似文献

Based on the molecular parameters of the X‐ray determinations the vibrational spectra are assigned by normal coordinate analysis. The average valence force constants are fd(PtCl) = 1.93, fd(PtNα) = 2.38 and fd(NαNβ, NβNγ) = 12.39 mdyn/Å. In the 195Pt NMR spectrum of [Pt(N3)nCl6–n]2–, n = 0–6 downfield shifts with the increasing number of azido ligands are observed in the range 4766–5067 ppm. The 15N NMR spectrum of (n‐Bu4N)2[Pt(15NN2)n(N215N)6–n], n = 0–6 exhibits by 15N–195Pt coupling a pseudotriplett at –307.5 ppm. Due to the isotopomeres n = 0–5 for terminal 15N six well‐resolved signals with distances of 0.03 ppm are observed in the low field region at –201 to –199 ppm.  相似文献

Gehlenite, Ca2Al[AlSiO7], has melilite‐type structure with space group . It contains two topologically distinct positions coordinated tetrahedrally by oxygen. One is completely occupied by Al3+, whereas the other one contains Al3+ and Si4+. Normally, the Al3+ molar fraction in the second tetrahedrally coordinated position does not exceed xAl = 0.5, i.e. the so‐called Loewenstein‐rule is obeyed. In this contribution the structural variations in the melilite‐type compounds of the compositions LaxCa2?xAl[Al1+xSi1?xO7], EuxCa2?xAl[Al1+xSi1?xO7] and ErxCa2?xAl[Al1+xSi1?xO7] are discussed. All members of the solid solution except the end‐members violate Loewenstein's rule. Rietveld refinements against X‐ray powder diffraction patterns confirm that the compounds have space group , without changes in the Wyckoff‐positions of the ions compared to gehlenite.  相似文献

Syntheses, Crystal Structures, and Thermal Behavior of Er2(SO4)3 · 8 H2O and Er2(SO4)3 · 4 H2O Evaporation of aqueous solutions of Er2(SO4)3 yields light pink single crystals of Er2(SO4)3 · 8 H2O. X-ray single crystal investigations show that the compound crystallizes monoclinically (C2/c, Z = 8, a = 1346.1(3), b = 667.21(1), c = 1816.2(6) pm, β = 101.90(3)°, Rall = 0.0169) with eightfold coordination of Er3+, according to Er(SO4)4(H2O)4. DSC- and temperature dependent X-ray powder investigations show that the decomposition of the hydrate follows a two step mechanism, firstly yielding Er2(SO4)3 · 3 H2O and finally Er2(SO4)3. Attempts to synthesize Er2(SO4)3 · 3 H2O led to another hydrate, Er2(SO4)3 · 4 H2O. There are two crystallographically different Er3+ ions in the triclinic structure (P 1, Z = 2, a = 663.5(2), b = 905.5(2), c = 1046.5(2) pm, α = 93.59(3)°, β = 107.18(2)°, γ = 99.12(3)°, Rall = 0.0248). Er(1)3+ is coordinated by five SO42– groups and three H2O molecules, Er(2)3+ is surrounded by six SO42– groups and one H2O molecule. The thermal decomposition of the tetrahydrate yields Er2(SO4)3 in a one step process. In both cases the dehydration produces the anhydrous sulfate in a modification different from the one known so far.  相似文献

Chromium Hexacyano Complexes: The Crystal Structures of the Cyano Elpasolites (NMe4)2ACr(CN)6 (A = K, Cs) and of the Cubic Barium Compound Ba3[Cr(CN)6]2 · 20 H2O The crystal structures of the cyano elpasolites (NMe4)2KCr(CN)6 (a = 1527.3(1), b = 888.1(1), c = 1539.0(1) pm, β = 109.92(1)°; C2/c, Z = 4) and (NMe4)2CsCr(CN)6 (a = 1278.9(1) pm; Fm3m, Z = 4), as well as of the cubic compound Ba3[Cr(CN)6]2 · 20 H2O (a = 1631.0(1) pm; Im3m, Z = 4) were determined by X‐ray methods with single crystals. Reasons for the enlarged distances within the [Cr(CN)6]3–‐octahedron of the K compound (Cr–C: 209.3 pm) compared to the observations within both cubic complexes (206.1 resp. 206.9 pm) are discussed in context with the tolerance factors of cyano elpasolites. As is the case there concerning the cyano bridges Cr–CN–A towards the alkali ions the novel structure type of the barium compound, too, exhibits nearly linear bridging towards Ba. It contributes, however, only four N ligands to the ninefold [BaN4O5] coordination; part of the aqua ligands show disorder (Ba–N: 287.5, Ba–O: 281/293 pm).  相似文献

A novel tetramethylammonium aluminosilicate hydrate with the approximate composition [NMe4]6[AlxSi8?xO18?x(OH)2+x] · 44H2O (x = 3–4) has been identified by powder X-ray diffraction as a component in a polyphasic solid mixture which crystallized at room temperature from an aqueous NMe4OH? Al2O3? SiO2 solution. Large crystals of the novel hydrate phase could be mechanically selected from that mixture. The crystal structure has been determined from 1 196 unique MoKα diffraction data measured at 180 K: Tetragonal crystal system, cell constants a = 16.181(4) and c = 17.450(4) Å, space group P4/mnc with Z = 2 formula units per unit cell, R = 0.072. The host-guest compound is of polyhedral clathrate type with a mixed three-dimensional, (mainly) four-connected network composed of oligomeric aluminosilicate anions [AlxSi8?xO18?x(OH)2+x]6? and H2O molecules linked via hydrogen bonds O? H …? O. The aluminosilicate anions possess a cube-shaped (double four-ring) structure. Orientationally disordered cationic guest species NMe4+ are enclosed in the large [4668] and [4151067] polyhedral voids of the host framework; the small [46] cages (i.e. the double four-ring anions) and [4356] cages are empty. The hydrate is a further member in a recently discovered series of clathrates with mixed tetrahedral networks, which provides a structure-chemical link between zeolite- and clathrate hydrate-type host-guest compounds.  相似文献

Structural Chemistry and Magnetic Properties of Ho3+‐β″‐Al2O3(Ho0, 5Mg0, 5Al10, 5O17) The crystal structure of Ho3+‐β″‐Al2O3(Ho0, 5Mg0, 5Al10, 5O17) was determined by single crystal X‐ray diffraction methods at room temperature (trigonal, R3¯m, Z = 3, a = 561.43(12) pm, c = 3353.7(11) pm). The structural chemical results are correlated with magnetic measurements, where ligand field calculations applying the angular overlap model have been taken into account.  相似文献

A novel borophosphate‐hydrate, (Ni3–xMgx)[B3P3O12(OH)6] · 6 H2O (x ≈ 1.5), has been prepared by hydrothermal synthesis (T = 170 °C) from a mixture of NiCl2 · 6 H2O, Mg(OH)2, B2O3 and H3PO4. The crystal structure was determined at 293 K from single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction data (trigonal, R3c (no. 167), a = 14.957(10) Å, c = 13.812(6) Å, V = 2676(2) Å3, Z = 6, R1 = 0.0276, wR2 = 0.0714 for 779 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I)). The crystal structure contains unbranched six‐membered rings [B3P3O12(OH)6]6– of alternating corner linked borate and phosphate tetrahedra, which are stacked along [001] and connected via MIIO2(OH)2(H2O)2 coordination polyhedra. Hydrogen bonding between the tetrahedral six‐membered rings and MIIO2(OH)2(H2O)2 octahedra leads to a further cross‐linking. With respect to the arrangement of isolated six‐membered tetrahedral rings the crystal structure of this borophosphate‐hydrate is closely related to the cyclo‐hexasilicate dioptase, Cu6[Si6O18] · 6 H2O.  相似文献
