A locally conformally Kähler (LCK) manifold is a complex manifold covered by a Kähler manifold, with the covering group acting by homotheties. We show that if such a compact manifold \(X\) admits a holomorphic submersion with positive-dimensional fibers at least one of which is of Kähler type, then \(X\) is globally conformally Kähler or biholomorphic, up to finite covers, to a small deformation of a Vaisman manifold (i.e., a mapping torus over a circle, with Sasakian fiber). As a consequence, we show that the product of a compact non-Kähler LCK and a compact Kähler manifold cannot carry a LCK metric.  相似文献

In conformal geometry, the Compactness Conjecture asserts that the set of Yamabe metrics on a smooth, compact, aspherical Riemannian manifold $\left( M,g\right) $ is compact. Established in the locally conformally flat case by Schoen (Lecture Notes in Mathematics, vol. 1365, pp. 120–154. Springer, Berlin 1989, Surveys Pure Application and Mathematics, 52 Longman Science, Technology, pp. 311–320. Harlow 1991) and for $n\le 24$ by Khuri–Marques–Schoen (J Differ Geom 81(1):143–196, 2009), it has revealed to be generally false for $n\ge 25$ as shown by Brendle (J Am Math Soc 21(4):951–979, 2008) and Brendle–Marques (J Differ Geom 81(2):225–250, 2009). A stronger version of it, the compactness under perturbations of the Yamabe equation, is addressed here with respect to the linear geometric potential $\frac{n-2}{4(n-1)} {{\mathrm{Scal}}}_g,\, {{\mathrm{Scal}}}_g$ being the Scalar curvature of $\left( M,g\right) $ . We show that a-priori $L^\infty $ –bounds fail for linear perturbations on all manifolds with $n\ge 4$ as well as a-priori gradient $L^2$ –bounds fail for non-locally conformally flat manifolds with $n\ge 6$ and for locally conformally flat manifolds with $n\ge 7$ . In several situations, the results are optimal. Our proof combines a finite dimensional reduction and the construction of a suitable ansatz for the solutions generated by a family of varying metrics in the conformal class of $g$ .  相似文献

We prove that any n-dimensional complete gradient shrinking Ricci soliton with pinched Weyl curvature is a finite quotient of ${\mathbb{R}^{n}, \mathbb{R}\times \mathbb{S}^{n-1}}$ or ${\mathbb{S}^{n}}$ . In particular, we do not need to assume the metric to be locally conformally flat.  相似文献

A manifold M is locally conformally Kähler (LCK) if it admits a Kähler covering ${\tilde{M}}$ with monodromy acting by holomorphic homotheties. Let M be an LCK manifold admitting a holomorphic conformal flow of diffeomorphisms, lifted to a non-isometric homothetic flow on ${\tilde{M}}$ . We show that M admits an automorphic potential, and the monodromy group of its conformal weight bundle is ${\mathbb{Z}}$ .  相似文献

Biharmonic hypersurfaces in a generic conformally flat space are studied in this paper. The equation of such hypersurfaces is derived and used to determine the conformally flat metric ${f^{-2}\delta_{ij}}$ on the Euclidean space ${\mathbb{R}^{m+1}}$ so that a minimal hypersurface ${M^{m}\longrightarrow (\mathbb{R}^{m+1}, \delta_{ij})}$ in a Euclidean space becomes a biharmonic hypersurface ${M^m\longrightarrow (\mathbb{R}^{m+1}, f^{-2}\delta_{ij})}$ in the conformally flat space. Our examples include all biharmonic hypersurfaces found in Ou (Pac J Math 248(1):217–232, 2010) and Ou and Tang (Mich Math J 61:531–542, 2012) as special cases.  相似文献

It is a classical fact that the cotangent bundle \(T^* {\mathcal {M}}\) of a differentiable manifold \({\mathcal {M}}\) enjoys a canonical symplectic form \(\Omega ^*\) . If \(({\mathcal {M}},\mathrm{J} ,g,\omega )\) is a pseudo-Kähler or para-Kähler \(2n\) -dimensional manifold, we prove that the tangent bundle \(T{\mathcal {M}}\) also enjoys a natural pseudo-Kähler or para-Kähler structure \(({\tilde{\hbox {J}}},\tilde{g},\Omega )\) , where \(\Omega \) is the pull-back by \(g\) of \(\Omega ^*\) and \(\tilde{g}\) is a pseudo-Riemannian metric with neutral signature \((2n,2n)\) . We investigate the curvature properties of the pair \(({\tilde{\hbox {J}}},\tilde{g})\) and prove that: \(\tilde{g}\) is scalar-flat, is not Einstein unless \(g\) is flat, has nonpositive (resp. nonnegative) Ricci curvature if and only if \(g\) has nonpositive (resp. nonnegative) Ricci curvature as well, and is locally conformally flat if and only if \(n=1\) and \(g\) has constant curvature, or \(n>2\) and \(g\) is flat. We also check that (i) the holomorphic sectional curvature of \(({\tilde{\hbox {J}}},\tilde{g})\) is not constant unless \(g\) is flat, and (ii) in \(n=1\) case, that \(\tilde{g}\) is never anti-self-dual, unless conformally flat.  相似文献

We obtain the complete group of structure equations of a locally conformally almost cosymplectic structure (an lc $ ACy $ -structure in what follows) and compute the components of the Riemannian curvature tensor on the space of the associated G-structure. Normal lc $ ACy $ -structures are studied in more detail. In particular, we prove that the contact analogs of A. Gray’s second and third curvature identities hold on normal lc $ ACy $ -manifolds, while the contact analog of A. Gray’s first identity holds if and only if the manifold is cosymplectic.  相似文献

There is a class of Laplacian like conformally invariant differential operators on differential forms ${L^\ell_k}$ which may be considered as the generalisation to differential forms of the conformally invariant powers of the Laplacian known as the Paneitz and GJMS operators. On conformally Einstein manifolds we give explicit formulae for these as factored polynomials in second-order differential operators. In the case that the manifold is not Ricci flat we use this to provide a direct sum decomposition of the null space of the ${L^\ell_k}$ in terms of the null spaces of mutually commuting second-order factors.  相似文献

Firstly we prove the non-existence of positive radially symmetric solution of the nonlinear elliptic equation $\frac{n-1}{m}\Delta v^m+\alpha v+\beta x\cdot \nabla u=0$ in $\mathbb{R }^{n}$ when $n\ge 3$ , $0<m\le \frac{n-2}{n}$ , $\alpha <0$ and $\beta \le 0$ and prove various properties of the solution of the above elliptic equation for other parameter range of $\alpha $ and $\beta $ . Then these results are applied to prove some results on Yamabe solitons including the exact behaviour of the metric of the Yamabe soliton, its scalar curvature and sectional curvature, at infinity. A new proof of a result of Daskalopoulos and Sesum (The classification of locally conformally flat Yamabe solitons, http://arxiv.org/abs/1104.2242) on the positivity of the sectional curvature of Yamabe solitons is also presented.  相似文献

We consider the pseudo-euclidean space ${(\mathbb{R}^n, g)}$ , with n ≥  3 and ${g_{ij} = \delta_{ij} \varepsilon_i, \varepsilon_i = \pm 1}$ and tensors of the form ${T = \sum \nolimits_i \varepsilon_i f_i (x) dx_i^2}$ . In this paper, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for a diagonal tensor to admit a metric ${\bar{g}}$ , conformal to g, so that ${A_{\bar g}=T}$ , where ${A_{\bar g}}$ is the Schouten Tensor of the metric ${\bar g}$ . The solution to this problem is given explicitly for special cases for the tensor T, including a case where the metric ${\bar g}$ is complete on ${\mathbb{R}^n}$ . Similar problems are considered for locally conformally flat manifolds. As an application of these results we consider the problem of finding metrics ${\bar g}$ , conformal to g, such that ${\sigma_2 ({\bar g })}$ or ${\frac{\sigma_2 ({\bar g })}{\sigma_1 ({\bar g })}}$ is equal to a given function. We prove that for some functions, f 1 and f 2, there exist complete metrics ${\bar{g} = g/{\varphi^2}}$ , such that ${\sigma_2 ({\bar g }) = f_1}$ or ${\frac{\sigma_2 ({\bar g })}{\sigma_1 ({\bar g })} = f_2}$ .  相似文献

Isothermic surfaces in \(S^n\) are characterised by the existence of a pencil \(\nabla ^t\) of flat connections. Such a surface is special of type \(d\) if there is a family \(p(t)\) of \(\nabla ^t\) -parallel sections whose dependence on the spectral parameter \(t\) is polynomial of degree \(d\) . We prove that any isothermic surface admits a family of \(\nabla ^t\) -parallel sections which is a formal Laurent series in \(t\) . As an application, we give conformally invariant conditions for an isothermic surface in \(S^3\) to be special.  相似文献

We study locally homogeneous rigid geometric structures on surfaces. We show that a locally homogeneous projective connection on a compact surface is flat. We also show that a locally homogeneous unimodular affine connection ${\nabla}$ on a two dimensional torus is complete and, up to a finite cover, homogeneous. Let ${\nabla}$ be a unimodular real analytic affine connection on a real analytic compact connected surface M. If ${\nabla}$ is locally homogeneous on a nontrivial open set in M, we prove that ${\nabla}$ is locally homogeneous on all of M.  相似文献

Let $\mathbf{G}$ be a connected split reductive group over a $p$ -adic field. In the first part of the paper we prove, under certain assumptions on $\mathbf{G}$ and the prime $p$ , a localization theorem of Beilinson–Bernstein type for admissible locally analytic representations of principal congruence subgroups in the rational points of $\mathbf{G}$ . In doing so we take up and extend some recent methods and results of Ardakov–Wadsley on completed universal enveloping algebras (Ardakov and Wadsley, Ann. Math., 2013) to a locally analytic setting. As an application we prove, in the second part of the paper, a locally analytic version of Smith’s theorem on the canonical dimension.  相似文献

We establish the proportionality principle between the Riemannian volume and locally finite simplicial volume for $\mathbb Q $ -rank 1 locally symmetric spaces covered by products of hyperbolic spaces, giving the first examples for manifolds whose cusp groups are not necessarily amenable. Also, we give a simple direct proof of the proportionality principle for the locally finite simplicial volume and the relative simplicial volume of $\mathbb Q $ -rank $1$ locally symmetric spaces with amenable cusp groups established by Löh and Sauer [26].  相似文献

We prove longtime existence and estimates for smooth solutions to a fully nonlinear Lagrangian parabolic equation with locally $C^{1,1}$ initial data $u_0$ satisfying either (1) $-(1+\eta ) I_n\le D^2u_0 \le (1+\eta )I_n$ for some positive dimensional constant $\eta $ , (2) $u_0$ is weakly convex everywhere, or (3) $u_0$ verifies a large supercritical Lagrangian phase condition.  相似文献

Let \(G\) be a locally compact, Hausdorff, étale groupoid whose unit space is totally disconnected. We show that the collection \(A(G)\) of locally-constant, compactly supported complex-valued functions on \(G\) is a dense \(*\) -subalgebra of \(C_c(G)\) and that it is universal for algebraic representations of the collection of compact open bisections of \(G\) . We also show that if \(G\) is the groupoid associated to a row-finite graph or \(k\) -graph with no sources, then \(A(G)\) is isomorphic to the associated Leavitt path algebra or Kumjian–Pask algebra. We prove versions of the Cuntz–Krieger and graded uniqueness theorems for \(A(G)\) .  相似文献

We analyse sequences of discs conformally immersed in $ \mathbb{R }^ n$ with energy $ \int _{ D} |A_k |^ 2 \le \gamma _n$ , where $ \gamma _n = 8\pi $ if $ n=3$ and $ \gamma _n = 4 \pi $ when $n\ge 4$ . We show that if such sequences do not weakly converge to a conformal immersion, then by a sequence of dilations we obtain a complete minimal surface with bounded total curvature, either Enneper’s minimal surface if $ n=3$ or Chen’s minimal graph if $ n \ge 4$ . In the papers, (Kuwert and Li, Comm Anal Geom 20(2), 313–340, 2012; Rivière, Adv Calculus Variations 6(1), 1–31, 2013) it was shown that if a sequence of immersed tori diverges in moduli space then $\liminf _ {k\rightarrow \infty } \mathcal W ( f_k )\ge 8\pi $ . We apply the above analysis to show that in $ \mathbb{R }^3$ if the sequence diverges so that $ \lim _{ k \rightarrow \infty } \mathcal W (f_k) =8\pi $ then there exists a sequence of Möbius transforms $ \sigma _{k}$ such that $ \sigma _k\circ f _k$ converges weakly to a catenoid.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a Hodge decomposition for the \(L_p\) -space of some parabolic first-order partial differential operators with non-constant coefficients. This is done over different types of domains in Euclidean space \(\mathbb{R }^n\) and on some conformally flat cylinders and the \(n\) -torus associated with different spinor bundles. Initially, we apply a regularization procedure in order to control the non-removable singularities over the hyperplane \(t=0\) . Using the setting of Clifford algebras combined with a Witt basis, we introduce some specific integral and projection operators. We present an \(L_p\) -decomposition where one of the components is the kernel of the regularized parabolic Dirac operator with non-constant coefficients. After that, we study the behavior of the solutions and the validity of our results when the regularization parameter tends to zero. To round off, we give some analytic solution formulas for the special context of domains on cylinders and \(n\) -tori.  相似文献

It is shown that locally conformally flat weakly-Einstein manifolds are either locally symmetric, and hence a product \(N_1^m(c)\times N_2^m(-c)\), or otherwise they are locally homothetic to some specific warped product metrics \({\mathcal {I}}\times _fN(c)\). As an application we classify weakly-Einstein hypersurfaces in the Euclidean space.  相似文献

We study cohomological induction for a pair $ {\left( {\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{k}} \right)} $ , $ \mathfrak{g} $ being an infinitedimensional locally reductive Lie algebra and $ \mathfrak{k} \subset \mathfrak{g} $ being of the form $ \mathfrak{k}_{0} \subset C_{\mathfrak{g}} {\left( {\mathfrak{k}_{0} } \right)} $ , where $ \mathfrak{k}_{0} \subset \mathfrak{g} $ is a finite-dimensional reductive in $ \mathfrak{g} $ subalgebra and $ C_{\mathfrak{g}} {\left( {\mathfrak{k}_{0} } \right)} $ is the centralizer of $ \mathfrak{k}_{0} $ in $ \mathfrak{g} $ . We prove a general nonvanishing and $ \mathfrak{k} $ -finiteness theorem for the output. This yields, in particular, simple $ {\left( {\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{k}} \right)} $ -modules of finite type over k which are analogs of the fundamental series of generalized Harish-Chandra modules constructed in [PZ1] and [PZ2]. We study explicit versions of the construction when $ \mathfrak{g} $ is a root-reductive or diagonal locally simple Lie algebra.  相似文献
