The use of a vertical radiating antenna array for generation of a wave beam propagating in an underwater sound channel along the reference ray trajectory is discussed. The method for selecting the starting field in the antenna aperture for maximum compression of a beam in the specified vicinity of the reference ray is proposed. The estimates showing up to what distances a beam can propagate while remaining narrow as compared to the range of depths between the rotation horizons have been obtained. The problem concerning the distances from the antenna array at which a beam can still be effectively focused in the vicinity of the selected reference ray point is investigated.  相似文献

Sound at 85 to 450 Hz propagating in approximately 80-m depth water from fixed sources to a joint horizontal/vertical line array (HLA/VLA) is analyzed. The data are from a continental shelf area east of Delaware Bay (USA) populated with tidally generated long- and short-wavelength internal waves. Sound paths are 19 km in the along-shore (along internal-wave crest) direction and 30 km in the cross-shore direction. Spatial statistics of HLA arrivals are computed as functions of beam steering angle and time. These include array gain, horizontally lagged spatial correlation function, and coherent beam power. These quantities vary widely in magnitude, and vary over a broad range of time scales. For example, correlation scale can change rapidly from forty to five wavelengths, and correlation-scale behavior is anisotropic. In addition, the vertical array can be used to predict correlation expected for adiabatic propagation with cylindrical symmetry, forming a benchmark. Observed variations are in concert with internal-wave activity. Temporal variations of three coherence measures, horizontal correlation length, array gain, and ratio of actual correlation length to predicted adiabatic-mode correlation length, are very strong, varying by almost a factor of ten as internal waves pass.  相似文献

In the hydrological conditions of a biaxial sound channel, the cross-correlation between acoustic signals received at points spatially separated (from 10 to 63 km) along the sound propagation track is investigated. The signals are received by a narrow-beam array scanning in the vertical plane. The beam width is ~2° at the mean frequency (1 kHz) of a pseudo-noise signal. It is noted that, as the distance between the points of reception increases, the correlation decreases. This is mainly caused by the effect of the multipath propagation with an incomplete resolution of signals in arrival angles, rather than by changes in the “water” signal spectrum due to the attenuation.  相似文献

提出了一种高精度高空间分辨率球面阵聚焦声源定位方法——虚拟源法。该方法通过球面阵波束扫描获得实际声源的空间聚焦谱,并假定各扫描点为虚拟声源,将实际声源聚焦谱看作是全体虚拟源共同作用的结果,由此得到各虚拟源对声场的贡献量,从而可实现声源精确定位。仿真研究分析了频率,阵列孔径,声场模态阶数,信噪比等参数对声源定位性能的影响,并与常规算法进行对比。结果显示,该方法不受频率和阵列孔径的限制,避免了空间“混淆”,能够进行高精度高分辨率声源定位,并具有良好的背景噪声抑制能力。   相似文献

In this study we propose a simulation model for predicting the nonlinear sound propagation of ultrasound beams over a distance of a few hundred wavelengths, and we estimate the beam profile of a parametric array. Using the finite-difference time-domain method based on the Yee algorithm with operator splitting, axisymmetric nonlinear propagation was simulated on the basis of equations for a compressible viscous fluid. The simulation of harmonic generation agreed with the solutions of the Khokhlov–Zabolotskaya–Kuznetsov equation around the sound axis except near the sound source. As an application of the model, we estimated the profiles of length-limited parametric sound beams, which are generated by a pair of parametric sound sources with controlled amplitudes and phases. The simulation indicated a sound beam with a narrow truncated array length and a width of about one-quarter to half that of regular a parametric beam. This result confirms that the control of sound source conditions changes the shape of a parametric beam and can be used to form a torch like low-frequency sound beam.  相似文献

The paper studies the patterns manifesting themselves in the formation and propagation of caustic and weakly diverging beams using the geometric acoustic approximation and mode theory applied to the simplest model of an underwater sound channel open to the bottom in the form of the bilinear dependence of the square of the refractive index on depth. It is established that when a vertical array emitting a tonal sound signal is located at a certain critical depth, the multimode caustic beam which forms near the reference ray horizontally departing from its center and which predominates in intensity is simultaneously the most weakly diverging beam. It is shown that the reference ray of such a weakly diverging caustic beam corresponds to the smoothest minimum for the dependence of the length of the ray cycle on their angle of departure from the center of the array and to the depth level of revolution at the critical depth characteristic of the given oceanic waveguide.  相似文献

A pressure-sensitive device using an optical fiber coupler is proposed, and is integrated into an array system to measure sound field distributions. The optical coupling between two optical fibers is modulated by the applied sound field with the use of a membrane mechanically connected to the coupler. In the array system, a large number of the optical coupler sensors are connected two-dimensionally, and sound pressure at each sensor can be read out by switching the input light sources in turn. A prototype of the basic array system based on this principle was made, and its performance was demonstrated. The signal discrimination between each element was confirmed in a 2x2 array; then, using a four-element linear array, we demonstrated the steering of beam based on the phased array method.  相似文献

针对水下低频声源的方位估计问题,基于基元紧密排列的二维矢量阵,建立了一种超指向性波束形成方法.根据矢量基元差分运算构建各阶多极子模型,获得了几乎与频率无关的模态函数,并经加权计算可在低频条件下实现超指向性波束,以解决阵列孔径对波束性能的限制.同时,结合输出信噪比最大准则所得波束,分析了超指向性波束形成算法的稳定性与波导的影响程度,探索模态阶数与阵列参数的选取原则.通过阵列性能的仿真计算与实际阵列的测量数据表明,该算法可在小尺寸阵列孔径下获得良好的阵列波束,兼具了水下线型超指向性阵和环形超指向性阵的优点,可有效实现水下低频声源的水平方位估计;且波束性能可通过调节模态阶数与基元间距以达到最佳,并受水下声波导多途与频散效应影响有限.  相似文献

Detailed calculated data are presented for the angular, temporal, and energy structures of the sound field at the points of localtion of a horizontal line array of receivers (at 250-m intervals) in a shallow sea. The array is deployed near the bottom of a 200-m-deep waveguide along a sound propagation track, at distances from 20 to 30 km from a source generating a signal in the kilohertz frequency range. The influence of a sand or mud bottom on the intensity of signals arriving along single rays is numerically estimated for winter and summer conditions of sound propagation in a specific region of the Barents Sea.  相似文献

通过实验研究了声束偏转不同角度和声场半径变化时线性相控阵的声场特性,并与基于瞬态波位移解析解的相控阵声场计算方法得到的理论结果进行了对比。首先研究了基于半圆圆弧离面瞬态位移的声场计算方法,并进行了数值计算可靠性的优化。然后建立了一套相控阵瞬态波位移场的测量系统,以半圆形钢板为试件,纵波传感器为接收传感器,测量了偏转角度为-10°,-30°,-50°,-70°,及声场半径为50 mm,75 mm,100 mm和125 mm时线性超声相控阵的声束指向性;同时以基于瞬态波位移解析解的相控阵声场计算方法,计算了相同条件下该相控阵的声束指向性。最后将实验结果与理论结果进行了对比,取得了较好的一致。说明基于瞬态波位移的相控阵声场计算方法可以较好地计算线阵的声场,对于声束偏转较大角度和声场半径变化时也同样有效。   相似文献

A model equation that describes the propagation of sound beams in a fluid is developed using the oblate spheroidal coordinate system. This spheroidal beam equation (SBE) is a parabolic equation and has a specific application to a theoretical prediction on focused, high-frequency beams from a circular aperture. The aperture angle does not have to be small. The theoretical background is basically along the same analytical lines as the composite method (CM) reported previously [B. Ystad and J. Berntsen, Acustica 82, 698-706 (1996)]. Numerical examples are displayed for the amplitudes of sound pressure along and across the beam axis when sinusoidal waves are radiated from the source with uniform amplitude distribution. The primitive approach to linear field analysis is readily extended to the case where harmonic generation in finite-amplitude sound beams becomes significant due to the inherent nonlinearity of the medium. The theory provides the propagation and beam pattern profiles that differ from the CM solution for each harmonic component.  相似文献

 提出了一种大面积连续波高能激光光束参数的在线测量方法——环形光刀扫描测量法。该方法采用偏心安装的斜面环形光刀高速扫描反射,光电探测器阵列沿反射光圆周均匀布置探测,使得绝大部分被测激光沿原光路传播,只有少量取样光被反射到探测器阵列上。通过对采集得到的探测器响应信号进行空间映射计算和图像复原,得到激光束的光强分布参数。该方法可用于光束直径数百mm的高能激光光束测量,测量空间分辨率约2 mm,时间分辨率为30~50 ms。  相似文献

基于光谱光束组合技术,利用光栅的衍射和外腔的反馈,并通过加入光束整形系统,将标准的半导体激光阵列的发光单元锁定在窄线宽的不同波长上,以近似平行光束沿组合方向输出,以实现半导体激光阵列输出光束质量的改善和线宽的压窄。实验中采用发光单元宽度100μm,周期500μm,由19个单元构成的标准阵列,分别对快、慢轴准直后光谱组束、光束整形后光谱组束和线宽压窄外腔组束进行了实验验证,实现了组合光束与单个发光单元近似的光束质量,同时得到了较窄的线宽输出,并对实验结果进行了分析。  相似文献

针对焊缝内相控阵声场聚焦问题,建立焊缝结构中多高斯声束法的相控阵声场计算模型,分别用直接聚焦和底面反射聚焦两种方式对焊缝内部的相控阵声场进行数值模拟,分析不同方式下的相控阵聚焦声场特性,讨论不同区域适用的聚焦方式,分析了界面倾斜角度对聚焦效果的影响。结果表明,在相同焊缝结构条件下直接聚焦的方式更适合对厚壁焊缝的中下部进行聚焦扫描,在焊缝上表面附近,当声束偏转角大于80°时,直接聚焦方式无法有效聚焦;反射聚焦的方式更适合对焊缝上表面附近区域进行聚焦扫描,随着焦点深度增加,反射聚焦的声束偏转角增大,当声束偏转角大于55°时,反射聚焦无法形成明显焦点;两种聚焦扫描方式可形成有效的互补。当设置的焦点固定时,直接聚焦的实际焦点随界面倾斜角度增大向预设点远处偏移,而反射聚焦的效果基本不受倾斜角的影响,实际焦点始终在预设焦点附近。  相似文献

By exploiting a case regarded as trivial, this paper presents global active noise control using a parametric beam focusing source (PBFS). As with a dipole model, one is used for a primary sound source and the other for a control sound source, the control effect for minimizing a total acoustic power depends on the distance between the two. When the distance becomes zero, the total acoustic power becomes null, hence nothing less than a trivial case. Because of the constraints in practice, there exist difficulties in placing a control source close enough to a primary source. However, by projecting a sound beam of a parametric array loudspeaker onto the target sound source (primary source), a virtual sound source may be created on the target sound source, thereby enabling the collocation of the sources. In order to further ensure feasibility of the trivial case, a PBFS is then introduced in an effort to meet the size of the two sources. Reflected sound wave of the PBFS, which is tantamount to the virtual sound source output, aims to suppress the primary sound. Finally, a numerical analysis as well as an experiment is conducted, verifying the validity of the proposed methodology.  相似文献

Despite its introduction more than a decade ago, a two-dimensional ultrasonic array remains a luxury in nondestructive evaluation because of the complexity and cost associated with its fabrication and operation. This paper describes the construction and performance of a two-dimensional virtual array that solves these problems. The virtual array consists of only two transducers (one each for transmit and receive) and an aluminum chaotic cavity, augmented by a 10 × 10 matrix array of rectangular rods. Each rod, serving as an elastic waveguide, is calibrated to emit a collimated pulsed sound beam centered at 2.5 MHz using the reciprocal time reversal. The resulting virtual array is capable of pulse-echo interrogation of a solid sample in direct contact along 10 × 10 scan lines. Three-dimensional imaging of an aluminum test piece, the nominal thickness of which is in the order of 1 cm, is successfully carried out using the virtual array.  相似文献

The propagation of phase-locked circular dark hollow beams array in a turbulent atmosphere is studied. An analytical expression for the average intensity distribution at the receiving plane is obtained based on the extended Huygens-Fresnel principle. The effects of turbulence, dark parameter and beam order of the beams array on the intensity pattern are studied and analyzed. It is found that the intensity pattern of the phase-locked circular dark hollow beams array will evolve from a multiple-spot-pattern into a Gaussian beam spot under the isotropic influence of the turbulence. The intensity pattern of beam array with a larger dark parameter and beam order evolves into the Gaussian-shape faster with increasing propagation distance.  相似文献

A prototype 3 x 3 planar cymbal transducer array was built and tested. The array has a radiating area of 5.5 cm x 5.5 cm and a thickness of less than 8 mm. The measured transmitting voltage response was above 134 dB re 1 microPa/V @ 1 m and flat over the frequency range of 16 and 100 kHz. Array interaction was analyzed using an equivalent circuit model. The array interaction leads to variations in radiation resistance and velocity of the transducers in the array according to their surroundings in the array. The effect is enhanced overall efficiency and a flat response.  相似文献

A new controllable laser beam shaping technique is demonstrated, where a magnetic fluid-based liquid deformable mirror is proposed to redistribute the laser phase profile and thus change the propagation property of the beam. The mirror is driven by an inner miniature actuator array along with a large outer actuator. The inner actuator array is used for deforming the magnetic fluid surface, while the outer actuator is used to linearize the fluid surface response and amplify the magnitude of the deflection. In comparison to other laser beam shaping techniques, this technique offers the advantages such as simplicity, low cost, large shape deformation, and high adaptability. Based on a fabricated prototype of the liquid deformable mirror, an experimental AO system was set up to produce a desired conical surface shape that shaped the incident beam into a Bessel beam. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed technique for laser beam shaping.  相似文献
