We study the linear and nonlinear properties of two-dimensional matter-wave pulses in disk-shaped superfluid Fermi gases.A Kadomtsev-Petviashvili I(KPI) solitary wave has been realized for superfluid Fermi gases in the limited cases of Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer(BCS) regime,Bose-Einstein condensate(BEC) regime,and unitarity regime.Onelump solution as well as one-line soliton solutions for the KPI equation are obtained,and two-line soliton solutions with the same amplitude are also studied in the limited cases.The dependence of the lump propagating velocity and the sound speed of two-dimensional superfluid Fermi gases on the interaction parameter are investigated for the limited cases of BEC and unitarity.  相似文献

We present majority and minority radio frequency spectra of strongly interacting imbalanced Fermi gases of 6Li. We observed a smooth evolution in the nature of pairing correlations from pairing in the superfluid region to polaron binding in the highly polarized normal region. The imbalance induces quasiparticles in the superfluid region even at very low temperature. This leads to a local bimodal spectral response, which allowed us to determine the superfluid gap Delta and the Hartree energy U.  相似文献

We discuss the ground state and the small-amplitude excitations of a degenerate vapour of fermionic atoms placed in two hyperfine states inside a spherical harmonic trap. An equations-of-motion approach is set up to discuss the hydrodynamic dissipation processes from the interactions between the two components of the fluid beyond mean-field theory and to emphasize analogies with spin dynamics and spin diffusion in a homogeneous Fermi liquid. The conditions for the establishment of a collisional regime via scattering against cold-atom impurities are analyzed. The equilibrium density profiles are then calculated for a two-component vapour of 40K atoms: they are little modified by the interactions for presently relevant values of the system parameters, but spatial separation of the two components will spontaneously arise as the number of atoms in the trap is increased. The eigenmodes of collective oscillation in both the total particle number density and the concentration density are evaluated analytically in the special case of a symmetric two-component vapour in the collisional regime. The dispersion relation of the surface modes for the total particle density reduces in this case to that of a one-component Fermi vapour, whereas the frequencies of all other modes are shifted by the interactions.  相似文献

It is found that the character of single-particle excitations of a trapped neutral-atom Fermi gas is strongly influenced by a superfluid phase transition. Below the transition temperature the presence of a spatially inhomogeneous order parameter (gap) shifts the excitation eigenenergies upward and leads to the appearance of in-gap excitations localized in the outer part of the gas sample. The eigenenergies become sensitive to the gas temperature and are no longer multiples of the trap frequencies. These features should manifest themselves in a strong change of the density oscillations induced by modulations of the trap frequencies and can be used for identifying the superfluid phase transition. We consider a superfluid of trapped fermionic atoms and study the single vortex solution in the Ginzburg-Landau regime. We define simple analytical estimates for the main characteristics of the system, such as the vortex core size, temperature regimes for the existence of a vortex, and the effects of rotation and interactions with normal fermions. The parameter dependence of the vortex core size (healing length) is found to be essentially different from that of the healing length in metallic superconductors or in trapped atomic Bose-Einstein condensation in the Thomas-Fermi limit. This is an indication of the importance of the confining geometry for the properties of fermionic superfluids.  相似文献

In quasi-two dimensions (quasi-2D), where excitations are frozen in one direction, the scattering amplitudes exhibit 2D features of the particle motion and a 3D to 2D dimensional crossover emerges in the behavior of scattering. We explore its physical consequences, capitalizing on a hidden connection between the Pitaevskii-Rosch dynamical symmetry and breathing modes. We find broken Pitaevskii-Rosch symmetry by arbitrarily small 2D effects, inducing a frequency shift in breathing modes. The predicted shift rises significantly from the order of 0.5% to more than 5% in transiting from the 3D-scattering to the 2D-scattering regime. Comparisons with other relevant effects suggest our results are observable within current experimental capabilities.  相似文献

We study the effects of dipole interaction on the superfluidity in a homogeneous Fermi gas with population imbalance. We show that the Larkin-Ovchinnikov-Fulde-Ferrell phase is replaced by another nonuniform superfluid phase, in which the order parameter has a nonzero triplet component induced by the dipole interaction.  相似文献

The polarization produced by the relative displacement of the potentials trapping two spin species of a dilute Fermi gas with N=N is calculated at unitarity by assuming phase separation between the superfluid and a polarized phase at zero temperature. Because of the energy cost associated with pair breaking, the dipole polarizability is strongly quenched and exhibits important deviations from the ideal gas behavior even for nonlinear displacements of the order of the size of the atomic cloud. The behavior in the presence of different trapping frequencies (monopole polarization) for the two spin species is also discussed. Our results suggest new experimental perspectives to explore the quantum phases of interacting Fermi gases.  相似文献

The electronic structure of the layered 4d transition metal oxide Sr2RhO4 is investigated by angle resolved photoemission. We find well-defined quasiparticle excitations with a highly anisotropic dispersion, suggesting a quasi-two-dimensional Fermi-liquid-like ground state. Markedly different from the isostructural Sr2RuO4, only two bands with dominant Rh 4dxz,zy character contribute to the Fermi surface. A quantitative analysis of the photoemission quasiparticle band structure is in excellent agreement with bulk data. In contrast, it is found that state-of-the-art density functional calculations in the local density approximation differ significantly from the experimental findings.  相似文献

在平均场近似下,通过对相平面和不动点的分析, 研究了非线性两能级系统中费米超流气体的Landau-Zener 隧穿现象. 研究发现,费米子间的相互作用能够显著地影响量子隧穿. 当相互作用参数c小于临界值c*时,在绝热极限下隧穿仍然满足量子绝热定理, 而大于这一临界值时,量子绝热定理不再满足. 最后通过和线性情况比较,得到了c*时隧穿率与扫描速率间满足的指数关系.  相似文献

以非线性Rosen-Zener隧穿理论为基础, 用平均场近似的方法, 通过考虑高阶非线性项的影响, 研究了非线性两能级系统中费米超流气体的Rosen-Zener隧穿现象. 研究发现粒子间的非线性相互作用能够显著地影响量子隧穿. 分别在快扫描极限和绝热极限的条件下, 解释了Rosen-Zener隧穿现象, 并给出了矩形振荡周期与非线性参数之间的依赖关系. 这为更深入认识费米气体的基本属性提供了理论基础.  相似文献

我们利用解析和数值的方法,研究从Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer(BCS)超流到玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚(BEC)渡越的过程里超流费米气体中两维(2D)孤子的形成和演化.基于超流流体力学方程,在准二维和长波近似下,推导描述弱非线性激发带正色散项的Kadomtsev-Petviashvili方程;给出整个BCS-BEC渡越的2D孤子解,以及数值求解孤子在囚禁势中的演化.数值结果显示由于Snake(横向)不稳定性,大振幅的暗孤子会衰变为大量涡旋-反涡旋对,并且这个不稳定性在不同超流区域不同.  相似文献

We theoretically study the collective excitations of an ideal gas confined in an isotropic harmonic trap. We give an exact solution to the Boltzmann-Vlasov equation; as expected for a single-component system, the associated mode frequencies are integer multiples of the trapping frequency. We show that the expressions found by the scaling ansatz method are a special case of our solution. Our findings are most useful in case the trap contains more than one phase: we demonstrate how to obtain the oscillation frequencies in case an interface is present between the ideal gas and a different phase.  相似文献

研究了非谐振势中超流Fermi气体的集体激发. 基于一维超流流体动力学模型, 采用变分法获得了体系从分子Bose-Einstein凝聚端渡越到Cooper对凝聚端时系统的两个低能激发模, 即偶极模和呼吸模. 分析发现: 在整个跨越区偶极模和呼吸模都发生了频移现象, 且在BCS端频移更加显著. 进一步研究发现在不同驱动振幅激发下超流Fermi气体质量中心和宽度变化呈现出了复杂动力学特性, 由于非谐振势的贡献,超流Fermi气体两低能模发生耦合, 使宽度变化产生量子拍频现象, 且拍频频率随着驱动振幅的增加而增大. 这种非线性耦合对外部驱动的响应在幺正区尤其显著. 关键词: 超流Fermi气体 非谐振势 集体激发  相似文献

Using quantum hydrodynamic approaches, we study the quantum pressure correction to the collective excitation spectrum of the interacting trapped superfluid Fermi gases in the BEC-BCS crossover. Based on a phenomenological equation of state, we derive hydrodynamic equations of the system in the whole BEC-BCS crossover regime. Beyond the Thomas--Fermi approximation, expressions of the frequency corrections of collective modes for both spherical and axial symmetric traps excited in the BEC-BCS crossover are given explicitly. The corrections of the eigenfrequencies due to the quantum pressure and their dependence on the inverse interaction strength, anisotropic parameter and particle numbers of the condensate are discussed in detail.  相似文献

We consider the BCS-BEC (Bose-Einstein-condensate) crossover for a system of trapped Fermi atoms at finite temperature, both below and above the superfluid critical temperature, by including fluctuations beyond mean field. We determine the superfluid critical temperature and the pair-breaking temperature as functions of the attractive interaction between Fermi atoms, from the weak- to the strong-coupling limit (where bosonic molecules form as bound-fermion pairs). Density profiles in the trap are also obtained for all temperatures and couplings.  相似文献
