纤维素作为自然界中储量最大的天然高分子,被认为是未来世界能源与化工的主要原料.但由于分子链间存在丰富氢键网络以及高度结晶的聚集态结构特点,天然纤维素不熔化、难溶解,造成纤维素的加工极其困难,纤维素材料的传统生产工艺复杂且污染严重,极大限制了纤维素材料的广泛应用.近年来,人们发现一些特定结构的离子液体能够高效溶解纤维素,为纤维素的加工和功能化提供了新的多用途平台.本文从"溶解纤维素的离子液体、纤维素溶解机理与溶液性质、以离子液体制备再生纤维素材料和以离子液体为介质合成纤维素衍生物"4个方面详细介绍了本课题组在此领域的研究进展.  相似文献

In the view of sustainable development and environmental protection, degradable agricultural films with on-demand thermal insulation properties have attracted growing research interest in the last few decades due to the deteriorating environment and extreme climate on the growth and existence of crops. Here, a general strategy has been developed to fabricate degradable silver nanowires modified cellulose (AgNW/cellulose) hybrid film with controllable thermal insulation and antibacterial properties by using plant cellulose and AgNWs as building blocks, PVA and PEG as film forming solvent, as well as their agriculture application. The results show that the AgNWs are evenly dispersed in the three-dimensional grid of cellulose, that they form a film that can withstand a certain tensile force and have good thermal stability. Due to the excellent electrical conductivity, the AgNW/cellulose hybrid films can provide excellent Joule heating, generating rapid thermal response and uniform electrical heating at a low supply voltage of 3 V. In the antibacterial tests against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, the AgNW/cellulose hybrid films exhibited large diameters of inhibition zones, revealing the high antibacterial activity. Additionally, the AgNW/cellulose hybrid films showed highly stretchable behavior by delivering a breaking strain of 1.5% with a tensile stress of 0.45 MPa owing to the cross-linked structures of cellulose and AgNWs. Based on the above properties, this study not only provides a potential strategy for the fabrication of flexible and biodegradable agricultural films but also may provide new insights for agricultural thermal management.

In this critical review we discuss recent advances in understanding the modes of interaction of metal ions with membrane proteins, including channels, pumps, transporters, ATP-binding cassette proteins, G-protein coupled receptors, kinases and respiratory enzymes. Such knowledge provides a basis for elucidating the mechanism of action of some classes of metallodrugs, and a stimulus for the further exploration of the coordination chemistry of metal ions in membranes. Such research offers promise for the discovery of new drugs with unusual modes of action. Gene therapy research is still in trouble owing to a paucity of acceptable vector systems to deliver nucleic acids to patients for therapy. Viral vectors are efficient but may be too dangerous. Synthetic non-viral vectors are inherently safer but are currently not efficient enough to be clinically viable. The solution for gene therapy lies with improved synthetic non-viral vectors systems. This review is focused on synthetic cationic liposome/micelle-based non-viral vector systems and is a critical review written to illustrate the increasing importance of chemistry in gene therapy research. This review should be of primary interest to synthetic chemists and biomedical researchers keen to appreciate emerging technologies, but also to biological scientists who remain to be convinced about the relevance of chemistry to biology.  相似文献

The biological properties of the lanthanides, based on their similarity to calcium, have stimulated research into their therapeutic application. Historical medical uses of the lanthanides and recent advances and successes will be described in the context of the biological chemistry of lanthanides, including a new metal-based drug, lanthanum carbonate, which has recently been approved as a phosphate binder for the treatment of hyperphosphatemia. The article is a critical review of all aspects of the dissolution of cellulose in NaOH-based aqueous solutions: from the background properties of the solvent itself, to the mechanisms of cellulose fibre swelling and dissolution, solution structure and properties and influence of additives and, finally, to the properties of various materials (fibres, films, aerogels, composites and interpenetrated networks) prepared from these solutions. A historical evolution of the research on this topic is presented. The pros and cons of NaOH-based aqueous solvent for cellulose are summarised and some prospects are suggested.  相似文献

Cellulose has been used as a raw material for the manufacture of membranes and fibers for many years. This review gives the background of the most recent methods of treating or dissolving cellulose, and its derivatives to form polymer films or membranes for a variety of applications. Indeed, some potential applications of bacterial cellulose, nanofibrillar cellulose (NFC) for films showing enhanced barrier characteristics are reviewed as well as the utilization of cellulose nanonocrystals (CNC) for production of highly oriented super strong films or thin films is discussed. Because of the success of the Lyocell process as well as the amine/metal thiocyanate solvent blends of cellulose and other polysaccharides like starch, chitosan, and other natural polymers. Consequently, the use of cellulose (or its derivatives) and another polysaccharide dissolved as a blend is also elaborated. It is our hope that the reader will want to follow up and investigate these new systems and use them to develop end use materials for all sorts of applications, from medical to water filtration, or electrogels for use in batteries.  相似文献

Metal directed self-assembly has yielded a wide array of two- and three-dimensional structures with fascinating new chemical properties. These structures have typically been prepared utilizing transition metals as directing units, owing to the well-defined coordination preferences these metals exhibit. An area of growing research interest involves the preparation of structures containing main group elements as directing units. This tutorial review surveys the wide range of structure types available through this approach, specifically covering unique structure types accessible from the unusual coordination geometries often exhibited by the elements in Groups 12-17 of the periodic table. This review should be of interest to supramolecular and main group chemists, and researchers in the fields of crystal engineering, host-guest chemistry, and molecular recognition.  相似文献

This tutorial review provides an overview of bio-directed synthesis of nanomaterials, starting with the foundation of biomineralization research--how organisms are able to biomineralize materials in vivo--and progressing to studies of biomineralization in vitro. This research is of interest to biologists, chemists and materials scientists alike, especially in light of efforts to find 'greener' methods of inorganic material synthesis. The adsorption of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), one of the most important cellulose derivatives, is crucial for many scientific investigations and industrial applications. Especially for surface modifications and functionalization of materials, the polymer is of interest. The adsorption properties of CMC are dependent not only on the solutions state, which can be influenced by the pH, temperature, and electrolyte concentration, but also on the chemical composition of the adsorbents. We therefore performed basic investigation studies on the interaction of CMC with a variety of polymer films. Thin films of cellulose, cellulose acetate, deacetylated cellulose acetate, polyethylene terephthalate, and cyclo olefin polymer were therefore prepared on sensors of a QCM-D (quartz crystal microbalance) and on silicon substrates. The films were characterized with respect to the thickness, wettability, and chemical composition. Subsequently, the interaction and deposition of CMC in a range of pH values without additional electrolyte were measured with the QCM-D method. A comparison of the QCM-D results showed that CMC is favorably deposited on pure cellulose films and deacetylated cellulose acetate at low pH values. Other hydrophilic surfaces such as silicon dioxide or polyvinyl alcohol coated surfaces did not adsorb CMC to a significant extent. Atomic force microcopy confirmed that the morphology of the adsorbed CMC layers differed depending on the substrate. On hydrophobic polymer films, CMC was deposited in the form of larger particles in lower amounts whereas hydrophilic cellulose substrates were to a high extent uniformly covered by adsorbed CMC. The chemical similarity of the CMC backbone seems to favor the irreversible adsorption of CMC when the molecule is almost uncharged at low pH values. A selectivity of the cellulose CMC interaction can therefore be assumed. All CMC treated polymer films exhibited an increased hydrophilicity, which confirmed their modification with the functional molecule.  相似文献

The use of cellulose and starch derivatives that bear amino or quaternary ammonium moieties is steadily increasing, and the applications in industry are continuing to grow. These promising products are routinely used in cosmetic and paper‐making industries. This article provides an overview of strategies available to chemists for designing the syntheses of such compounds. The review provides a brief historical perspective on synthesis and describes recent developments that have enabled chemists to enhance their synthesis productivity. However, the graft polymerization techniques are far from the scope of this paper and will be noted in a few words only. In addition to the structural and synthetic aspects, applications of these derivatives are discussed in brief. We have divided this article in two parts mainly because of the vastness of the subject and limited space available. The first part of which reviews the advances in the synthesis of basic and cationic cellulose derivatives having amino or quaternary ammonium moieties and the second part of which considers starch ones. The de novo synthesis of small organic heterocyclic molecules has benefited from recent protocols for copper-facilitated additions of heteroatoms to alkenes, alkynes and arenes. This tutorial review summarizes a number of these recent contributions. Copper salts can facilitate bond formations due to their ability to serve as Lewis acids, oxidizing agents and transition metal catalysts. The current understanding of the mechanisms of these reactions is presented. While the use of pi-deficient azine halides in palladium catalyzed cross-coupling reactions is common, the use of pi-electron deficient azine organometallics has been less intensively examined. In recent years, important advances have been made that are beginning to address this deficiency and need. The purpose of this tutorial review is to highlight and discuss the innovations that facilitate the synthesis of azine-containing biaryls with a focus on the pyridine structural motif. Given the number of important compounds which exhibit azine-heterobiaryls and the wide use of cross-coupling methods in their synthesis, this review should be of interest among synthetic organic chemists and organometallic chemists alike.  相似文献

Fluorine chemistry has represented a hot topic in drug research over the last decade. Because of their pharmaceutical potential, fluorine-containing amino acids and related derivatives have acquired high importance among medicinal chemists. Hair is a proteinaceous fibre with a strongly hierarchical organization of subunits, from the alpha-keratin chains, via intermediate filaments, to the fibre. The chemistry of the different morphological compartments results in exciting physical properties, including the hydrophilic/hydrophobic paradox. The main objective of this survey is to provide a comprehensive review of recent achievements related to the phosphonation processes, applying alkyl phosphites and different electrophiles (C?X, X: O, N, or C). The review discusses the important reactions of trialkyl and dialkyl phosphite reagents with a variety of aldehydes, ketones, aldimines, ketimines, hydrazones, oximes, diazo compounds, thio- and isocyanates as well as activated olefins as a convenient methodology for the synthesis of biologically important α-hydroxy- and α-aminophosphonates as well as heterocycles containing phosphorus and substituted heterocyclic phosphor esters. We are herein concentrating only on reactions that lead to phosphorylated products as they represent a vast and important research area of interest for academic, as well as for industrial, pharmaceutical and phytopharmaceutical chemists.
