An information-theoretic measure is introduced for evaluating the dynamical coupling of spatiotemporally chaotic signals produced by extended systems. The measure of the one-way coupled map lattices and the one-dimensional, homogeneous, diffusively coupled map lattices is computed with the symbolic analysis method. The numerical results show that the information measure is applicable to determining the dynamical coupling between two directly coupled or indirectly coupled chaotic signals.  相似文献

We prove the existence of a unique SRB measure for a wide range of multidimensional weakly coupled map lattices. These include piecewise expanding maps with diffusive coupling. For weakly coupled expanding maps on the unit circle, Bricmont and Kupiainen showed that the Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen (SRB) measure exists as a Gibbs state. Via thermodynamic formalism, we prove that this SRB measure is indeed the unique equilibrium state for a Hölder continuous potential function on the infinite dimensional phase space. For a more general class of lattice systems that are small perturbations of the uncoupled map lattice, we present the variational principle, the entropy formula, and the formula for the potential function for the SRB measures. For coupled map lattices with nearest neighbor interactions, we give an explicit formula of the potential function for the SRB measure and consequently, obtain the entropy in terms of coupling parameters.  相似文献

Different chaos synchronization based encryption schemes are reviewed and compared from the practical point of view. As an efficient cryptanalysis tool for chaos encryption, a proposal based on the error function attack is presented systematically and used to evaluate system security. We define a quantitative measure (quality factor) of the effective applicability of a chaos encryption scheme, which takes into account the security, the encryption speed, and the robustness against channel noise. A comparison is made of several encryption schemes and it is found that a scheme based on one-way coupled chaotic map lattices performs outstandingly well, as judged from quality factor.  相似文献

Numerical simulations of coupled map lattices with non-local interactions (i.e., the coupling of a given map occurs with all lattice sites) often involve a large computer time if the lattice size is too large. In order to study dynamical effects which depend on the lattice size we considered the use of small truncated lattices with random inputs at their boundaries chosen from a uniform probability distribution. This emulates a “thermal bath”, where deterministic degrees of freedom exhibiting chaotic behavior are replaced by random perturbations of finite amplitude. We demonstrate the usefulness of this idea to investigate the occurrence of completely synchronized chaotic states as the coupling parameters are varied. We considered one-dimensional lattices of chaotic logistic maps at outer crisis x→4x(1−x).  相似文献

We considered coupled map lattices with long-range interactions to study the spatiotemporal behaviour of spatially extended dynamical systems. Coupled map lattices have been intensively investigated as models to understand many spatiotemporal phenomena observed in extended system, and consequently spatiotemporal chaos. We used the complex order parameter to quantify chaos synchronization for a one-dimensional chain of coupled logistic maps with a coupling strength which varies with the lattice in a power-law fashion. Depending on the range of the interactions, complete chaos synchronization and chaos suppression may be attained. Furthermore, we also calculated the Lyapunov dimension and the transversal distance to the synchronization manifold.  相似文献

在符号动力学的基础上,探讨了基于符号向量序列的局部耦合映像格子求逆问题,证明了相空间IN上任意取值通过基于符号向量序列的逆迭代过程必然收敛至初始向量,提出了基于符号向量动力学的初始向量估计算法,从而建立了耦合映像格子符号序列和实际动力系统相空间的对应关系.实验结果表明,根据该算法可以有效建立符号向量序列和耦合映像格子相空间之间的对应关系,更好地刻画了实际模型的物理过程. 关键词: 耦合映像格子 符号动力学 初始向量估计  相似文献

Systems of strongly coupled chaotic maps generically exhibit collective behavior emerging out of extensive chaos. We show how the well-known renormalization group (RG) of unimodal maps can be extended to the coupled systems, and in particular to coupled map lattices (CMLs) with local diffusive coupling. The RG relation derived for CMLs is nonperturbative, i.e., not restricted to a particular class of configurations nor to some vanishingly small region of parameter space. After defining the strong-coupling limit in which the RG applies to almost all asymptotic solutions, we first present the simple case of coupled tent maps. We then turn to the general case of unimodal maps coupled by diffusive coupling operators satisfying basic properties, extending the formal approach developed by Collet and Eckmann for single maps. We finally discuss and illustrate the general consequences of the RG: CMLs are shown to share universal properties in the space-continuous limit which emerges naturally as the group is iterated. We prove that the scaling properly ties of the local map carry to the coupled systems, with an additional scaling factor of length scales implied by the synchronous updating of these dynamical systems. This explains various scaling laws and self-similar features previously observed numerically.  相似文献

In theoretical biology, robustness refers to the ability of a biological system to function properly even under perturbation of basic parameters (e.g., temperature or pH), which in mathematical models is reflected in not needing to fine-tune basic parameter constants; flexibility refers to the ability of a system to switch functions or behaviors easily and effortlessly. While there are extensive explorations of the concept of robustness and what it requires mathematically, understanding flexibility has proven more elusive, as well as also elucidating the apparent opposition between what is required mathematically for models to implement either. In this paper we address a number of arguments in theoretical neuroscience showing that both robustness and flexibility can be attained by systems that poise themselves at the onset of a large number of dynamical bifurcations, or dynamical criticality, and how such poising can have a profound influence on integration of information processing and function. Finally, we examine critical map lattices, which are coupled map lattices where the coupling is dynamically critical in the sense of having purely imaginary eigenvalues. We show that these map lattices provide an explicit connection between dynamical criticality in the sense we have used and “edge of chaos” criticality.  相似文献

The dynamics of a globally coupled, logistic map lattice is explored over a parameter plane consisting of the coupling strength, varepsilon, and the map parameter, a. By considering simple periodic orbits of relatively small lattices, and then an extensive set of initial-value calculations, the phenomenology of solutions over the parameter plane is broadly classified. The lattice possesses many stable solutions, except for sufficiently large coupling strengths, where the lattice elements always synchronize, and for small map parameter, where only simple fixed points are found. For smaller varepsilon and larger a, there is a portion of the parameter plane in which chaotic, asynchronous lattices are found. Over much of the parameter plane, lattices converge to states in which the maps are partitioned into a number of synchronized families. 耦合映象格子用于信号处理研究时,从中恢复出初始条件是一个非常重要的问题.提出一种粗略恢复格点初值的方法,数值实验表明,动力学函数使用Logistic映射时,在映象过程不存在噪声的情况下,恢复的整个格子初始信号平均值等于给定信号分布的真实平均值,而恢复信号的方差小于给定信号的真实方差.将耦合看作是对独立映射的一种变换,对此作了初步解释,同时发现Logistic映射不同参数下的符号序列排序存在一些有趣的规律.对耦合格子映射研究、非线性耦合则量等是非常有启发意义的. 关键词: 耦合映射格子 信号恢复的统计特性  相似文献

A spatial extension of the logistic map-termed spatial logistic map-is found to display the same basic universality classes as the commonly studied diffusively coupled logistic lattice despite being vastly simpler. By analyzing the escape rates and the Lyapunov spectra it is shown that the main attractors of the spatial logistic map are stable and hence that it is a good candidate for serving as a prototype for the class of coupled map lattices which it is a part of. The spatial logistic map is then employed to provide an analytical derivation for the recently discovered linear scaling of the wavelength under increasing coupling ranges.  相似文献

研究了一个时间混沌系统驱动多个时空混沌系统的并行同步问题.以单模激光Lorenz系统和一维耦合映像格子为例,在单模激光Lorenz系统中提取一个混沌序列,通过与一维耦合映像格子中的状态变量耦合使单模激光Lorenz系统和多个同结构一维耦合映像格子同时达到广义同步,并且多个一维耦合映像格子之间实现完全并行同步.通过计算条件Lyapunov指数,可以得到并行同步所需反馈系数的取值范围.数值模拟证明了此方法的可行性和有效性.  相似文献

基于耦合映射格子模型, 用符号分析法研究了时空混沌信号的相互关系. 数值计算结果表明, 两个直接耦合的格子之间或两个未直接耦合但邻近的格子之间的条件熵存在一个尖锐的极小值, 而两个距离比较远的格子之间的条件熵则没有尖锐的极小值. 因此, 耦合映射格子系统产生的时空混沌信号之间的相互关系可以通过符号分析的方法显示出来.  相似文献

从耦合映像格子中,恢复系统初始条件是耦合系统求逆问题,也是信号处理研究中的一个关键性问题.本文在符号动力学方法的基础上,对映像系数进行修正,针对耦合单峰Logistic映射,提出一种基于时变映像系数恢复信号初值的新方法.在映像过程无噪或受到高斯白噪声污染时,本文方法都能够较好地恢复信号初值的统计特性,而且具有较小的偏差和均方误差,并与原信号之间具有较强的相关性,从而能够更好和更加合理地刻画实际信号的物理过程,对系统初值做出更优的估计. 关键词: 耦合映像格子 恢复初值的统计特性 时变映像系数  相似文献

The dynamics of globally coupled map lattices can be described in terms of a nonlinear Frobenius-Perron equation in the limit of large system size. This approach allows for an analytical computation of stationary states and their stability. The bifurcation behavior of coupled tent maps near the chaotic band merging point is presented. Furthermore, the time-independent states of coupled logistic equations are analyzed. The bifurcation diagram of the uncoupled map carries over to the map lattice.
