We report an experimental investigation of the non-steady-state photoelectromotive force in nanostructured GaN within porous glass and polypyrrole within chrysotile asbestos. The samples are illuminated by an oscillating interference pattern created by two coherent light beams and the alternating current is detected as a response of the material. Dependences of the signal amplitude versus temporal and spatial frequencies, light intensity, and temperature are studied for two wavelengths λ=442 and 532 nm. The conductivity of the GaN composite is measured: σ=(1.1–1.6)×10−10 Ω−1 cm−1 (λ=442 nm, I 0=0.045–0.19 W/cm2, T=293 K) and σ=(3.5–4.6)×10−10 Ω−1 cm−1 (λ=532 nm, I 0=2.3 W/cm2, T=249–388 K). The diffusion length of photocarriers in polypyrrole nanowires is also estimated: L D=0.18 μm.  相似文献

Spectral lines of Yb lasing in 1.03–1.05 μm region structured by 50–200 μm spots were found at focusing a pulsed LiF:F2+ color center laser of 0.5–5.0 GW/cm2 intensity on highly doped Yb:YAG or Yb:glass plates in a resonator. Small spots at the spectrograph located ≈ 1 m apart from the resonator indicated a “sub-diffraction” directivity of Yb generation, 1–2 orders better than the diffraction limit 10−3–10−2 rad determined by the pumped volume dimensions. Observed features of Yb emission are explained assuming off-axis oscillations in Yb laser on phase-synchronized photons due to a strong spatial-angular selection of radiation in the resonator. Propagation of near diffraction free beams at angles to the axis built at the spectrograph slit for every 10–15 ns pulse of Yb generation a magnified “image” of a structure of generating channels in the active medium. This image projection brought a corresponding structure of spots in Yb spectra. It was found that channels may be formed due to a high-frequency spatial modulation (micrometers scale) of the refractive index profile in samples caused by the oscillating amplitude of thermoelastic stresses in the pumped medium. Obtained data demonstrate a possibility to study (with high spatial and temporal resolution) non-equilibrium stales of materials in small volumes using laser radiation emerging from these objects. This study results evidence for the novel concept of the spatial distribution of electromagnetic field of a photon: not in the form of a “travelling” wave but in the form of a wave with maxima and nodes located at fixed positions along the photon propagation direction.  相似文献

We have developed a method for detecting acoustic fields in solids irradiated with dense electron beams. The method is based on laser Michelson interferometry. The electron source is a high-current DZhIN electron accelerator. The detection system features a short baseline Michelson interferometer located inside the experimental chamber with the sample, a stabilized initial beam pathlength difference within the interferometer, high temporal resolution, an analog-to-digital converter with output to a personal computer, and a program for reducing the interferometer data. We can measure both long pulses with minimum displacements of 10−10 m and durations of 10−8 sec, and flexure waves with large-amplitude displacements of 10−5 m and oscillation periods of 10−3 sec. We present results from studies of flexure waves in thin plates and rods of copper, silicon, alkali-halide crystals, quartz glasses, and D16T aluminum alloy irradiated by nanosecond high-density electron beams. This paper considers the physical processes associated with the extraction of electrons from the gas discharge plasma in plasma emitters where the emission boundary is stabilized with a fine grid. The ways of improving the uniformity of the emission current density distribution are discussed. Accelerators designed on the basis of plasma emitters are capable of producing pulsed beams of current 10–103 A, current density 0.1–1.0 A/cm2, pulse duration 10−7–10−3 s, and cross-sectional area up to 104 cm2. A simple and sensitive spectrofluorimetric method for determination of trace amount of doxycycline hydrochloride (DC) in pharmaceutical tablets and serum samples was developed. In ammonia buffer solution of pH 8.9 the doxycycline hydrochloride can remarkably enhance the luminescence intensity of the Sm3+ ion in Sm3+- DC complex at λex = 400 nm. The produced luminescence intensity of Sm3+- DC complex in DMSO is in proportion to the concentration of DC and used as optical sensor for its determination. The dynamic range for the determination of DC is 1 × 10−8 – 5 × 10−6 mol L−1 and in case of quantum yield calculations is 7 × 10−9 – 5 × 10−6 mol L−1 with detection limit of 6.5 × 10−10 mol L−1. The enhancement mechanism of the luminescence intensity in the Sm3+- DC system has been also discussed. A comparison with other spectrofluorimetric methods for tetracycline derivatives in which Eu3+ ion is used instead of Sm3+ ion is also studied.  相似文献

A theoretical study was carried out to investigate concentration self-quenching which is nonlinear in intensity in a molecular system caused by nonradiative electronic excitation energy transfer to relatively long-lived acceptors that are formed in a solution and whose function is performed by molecules that have acquired the triplet state. It is shown that at ratios of constants of radiative and nonradiative transitions typical of complex molecules at concentrations of ∼10−3–10−2 mole/liter substantial (2- to 10-fold) fluorescence takes place at intensities of excitation of ∼104–103 of the intensity of saturation for a singlet subsystem. In the paper the dependence of the photorefraction (PhR) in LiNbO3 and LiNbO3−Fe (0.1 wt%, 0.3wt%) crystals on light intensity (within 1016–1023 quanta·cm−2·s−1 at wavelengths 496.5 nm and 600 nm) and temperature (in the region 100–500 K) is studied. For all the crystals the limiting values of PhR are similar and atT=293 K Δn sat lim ≈3·10−3. In LiNbO3 the temperature dependence of PhR in the range 100–500 K requires to take into account at least two trapping centres.  相似文献

Presently, large efforts are conducted toward the development of highly brilliant γ beams via Compton back scattering of photons from a high-brilliance electron beam, either on the basis of a normal-conducting electron linac or a (super-conducting) Energy Recovery Linac (ERL). Particularly, ERLs provide an extremely brilliant electron beam, thus enabling the generation of highest-quality γ beams. A 2.5 MeV γ beam with an envisaged intensity of 1015 photons s−1, as ultimately envisaged for an ERL-based γ-beam facility, narrow band width (10−3), and extremely low emittance (10−4 mm2 mrad2) offers the possibility to produce a high-intensity bright polarized positron beam. Pair production in a face-on irradiated W converter foil (200 μm thick, 10 mm long) would lead to the emission of 2×1013 (fast) positrons per second, which is four orders of magnitude higher compared to strong radioactive 22Na sources conventionally used in the laboratory. Using a stack of converter foils and subsequent positron moderation, a high-intensity low-energy beam of moderated positrons can be produced. Two different source setups are presented: a high-brightness positron beam with a diameter as low as 0.2 mm, and a high-intensity beam of 3×1011 moderated positrons per second. Hence, profiting from an improved moderation efficiency, the envisaged positron intensity would exceed that of present high-intensity positron sources by a factor of 100.  相似文献

It is established that doping of CdS polycrystalline films with alkaline metals (Li, Na, K, Cs) results in an increase of luminescence intensity by 3–5 times compared with pure films. This increase is accounted for by the placement of alkaline-metal ions in V Cd 2− cation vacancies, which are nonradiative recombination centers in these films. From the dependences of the luminsecence intensity of the doped films on the synthesis conditions (deposition temperature, concentration of doping impurities, type of doping metal), the parameters that ensure the maximum luminescence intensity of the films are determined as Tdep ≈ 450°C and CMe = 1·10−5 at %. The luminescence intensity decreases by 1–3% upon exposure of the films to UV light (λmax = 365 nm, I = 1021 quanta·sec·cm−1) for several hours. The results of investigation of the energy and spectral characteristics of a He-Ne laser (λrad=1.52 μm) with transverse microwave discharge are presented. A single-frequency generation mode at a pressure above 6.0 mm Hg was obtained with radiation power 7.0 mW and low level of amplitude noise (10−5 Hz−1/2). Active stabilization of the laser power was carried out, which allows reduction in radiation intensity fluctuations from 1–5 to 0.1 %. A fluorescence enhancement phenomenon in the europium (Eu)–Ofloxacin (OF)–Sodium Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonate (SDBS) fluorescence system was observed when Gd3+ was added. The fluorescence intensity of the systems was measured (λ ex/λ em = 280/612 nm) at pH 7.8. Under optimum conditions, a linear relationship between the enhanced fluorescence intensity and the Eu3+ concentration in the range of 5.0 × 10−10 ∼ 2.0 × 10−7 mol·L−1 was observed. The detection limit of Eu3+ was 1.46 × 10−10 mol·L−1 (S/N = 3). This method was used for the determination of trace amounts of europium in synthetic rare earth samples with satisfactory results. A sensitive and selective method for the trace determination of 3, 3’, 4, 4’-tetrachlorobiphenyl (PCB77) by using bovine serum albumin (BSA) as a fluorescence probe was introduced. Under optimum conditions, the enhanced fluorescence intensity was proportional to the concentration of polychlorinated biphenyls in the range of 8.9 × 10−8–5.0 × 10−6 mol L−1 for PCB77, and 5.0 × 10−7–5.0 × 10−6 mol L−1 for 2, 2’, 5, 5’-tetrachlorbiphenyl (PCB52). The detection limits (S/N = 3) of PCB77 and PCB52 were 2.6 × 10−8 mol L−1 and 2.9 × 10−7 mol L−1, respectively. Furthermore, the fluorescence enhancement mechanism was discussed in detail. Results indicated that fluorescence enhancement of the system originated from the formation of BSA-PCBs complexes. In addition, PCBs were mainly bound to the tyrosine residues in BSA molecules.  相似文献

Chemiluminescence (CL) of the reaction system tetracycline–H2O2–Fe(II)/(III)–Eu(III) was used for the determination of tetracycline hydrochloride in water, pharmaceutical preparations, and honey. The CL spectrum registered for this system shows emission bands typical of Eu(III) ions, with a maximum at λ ∼ 600 nm, corresponding to the electronic transitions of 5D07F1 and 5D07F2. A strong chemiluminescence intensity characteristic of europium(III) ions in the system tetracycline–H2O2–Fe(II)/(III)–Eu(III), as contrasted to the emission of the system tetracycline–H2O2–Fe(II)/(III) without Eu(III), proves that the Eu(III) ion plays the role of a chemiluminescence sensitizer, accompanying tetracycline oxidation in the Fenton system (H2O2–Fe(II)/(III)). A linear dependence was observed for the integrated CL light intensity on the tetracycline concentration in the range of 2 × 10−7 to 3 × 10−5 mol l−1 with the detection limit of 5 × 10−8 mol l−1 in aqueous solution.  相似文献

It is found that silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) can further enhance the fluorescence intensity of curcumin (CU) - cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) – nucleic acids and improve its anti-photobleaching activity. Under optimum conditions, the enhanced fluorescence intensity is proportion to the concentration of nucleic acids in the range of 2.0 × 10−8–1.0 × 10−6 g mL−1 for fish sperm DNA (fsDNA), 2.0 × 10−8–1.0 × 10−6 g mL−1 for calf thymus DNA (ctDNA), 1.0 × 10−8–1.0 × 10−6 g mL−1 for yeast RNA (yRNA), and their detection limits (S/N = 3) are 8.0 ng mL−1, 10.5 ng mL−1 and 5.8 ng mL−1, respectively. This method is used for determining the concentration of DNA in actual sample with satisfactory results. The interaction mechanism is also studied.  相似文献

We describe equipment and a procedure for measuring inhomogeneities in active regions of solar cells, photoelectric transducers, and multielement photodetectors, based on a computer-controlled dual-beam laser scanner including a Pentium III personal computer, an HP-34401A digital multimeter with RS-232 serial interface;, a platform movable along the Y coordinate with the sample multielement photodetector to be tested and a microprobe device for picking up the photocurrents, an optical head with laser photodiodes in the visible (λ1 = 0.68 μm) and IR (λ2 = 0.82 μm) ranges scanning along the X coordinate, and a control unit for focusing the laser beams λ1, λ2, stabilizing the laser radiation power, and controlling the step motors for the X,Y coordinates. The equipment and procedure enable laser scanning of sample multielement photodetectors, with external dimensions 10 × 10 μm2 to 150 × 150 mm2, along the X, Y coordinates at a maximum rate of 100 mm/sec; minimum radiation power of the laser diodes, 10 mW; range of laser beam diameters, 2–50 μm; range of scanning steps along the X, Y coordinates, 5–100 μm; current sensitivity 1·10−8 A, voltage sensitivity 1·10−7 V; measurement and analysis accuracy at least 0.5%; storage of color plots of the inhomogeneities in the active regions of the multielement photodetectors on the hard disk of the personal computer, with output of analysis results to a monitor and color printer, 32 color gradations. Summary A new Cherenkov imaging telescope SHALON equipped with a very high-definition camera (144 pixels, imaging 7.20×7.20) takes data since 1993 at a mountain altitude of 3338 m. We discuss some results of the observations of the indicated gamma-ray sources and the discrimination methods between gamma-rays and protons. Selection of showers produced by gamma-quanta from a background of showers produced by protons has been made according to the following criteria: 1) alpha<200; 2) length/width>1.6 for γ; 3) Cherenkov light intensity in pixels with max light to the light in the light pixels near around is >0.2 for γ and <0.6 for p; 4) Cherenkov light intensity in pixels with max light to all light in imaging excluding in centre is >0.8 for γ and <0.8 for p; 5) distance for γ is <3.5 pixels.I Crab=(0.95±0.18)·10−12 cm−2c−1.I Mark421=(0.98±0.36)·10−12 cm−2c−1. We present results of observations of 23 compact cores of molecular clouds associated with IRAS “ cold” infrared sources. The observations were performed in the J = 1−0 line of the C18O molecule on a 13.7-meter radio telescope of the Purple Mountain Observatory, China. The C18O (J = 1−0) line was detected in the emission of 21 objects. Column densities of the C18O and H2 molecules towards the maximum of integral intensity of the C18O emission were estimated in the approximation of local thermodynamic equilibrium and amounted to (2.5–10.4) · 1015cm−2 and (1.5–6.1) · 1022 cm−2, respectively. The kinetic temperatures determined for these maxima from the CO lines vary from 14 to 45 K. For six objects, whose mapping has been almost completed, the dimensions of the C18O emission regions are estimated to range from 0.5 to 1.2 pc. The masses of these objects lie in the range of (390–1750) M and are close to the estimates following from the virial theorem. An amplification of the intensity of pump oscillations is observed experimentally at frequencies from 100 Hz to 1 kHz during photoinduced light scattering and holographic-type parametric scattering in photorefractive lithium tantalate and niobate. Possible ways are analyzed for explaining the existence of a photorefractive response in these crystals over times of 10−2–10−3 s, which are five orders of magnitude shorter than the Maxwell time.
