本文首先在K-L变换中用相关矩阵作为特征判据进行特征压缩,然后用综合判别函数法制备空间综合匹配滤波器,可以有效地压缩特征图像数目.用这种滤波器实现了平移、旋转、尺度三重不变光学图像识别,且有较高的信噪比. 相似文献

To suppress crosstalk caused by matched filtering in label recognition based on optical correlation, we propose the novel design method of a label recognition filter to improve the discrimination performance. Assuming the assistance of optical time-gating, the label recognition filter is designed by a technique of a multiple-object discriminant filter (MODF) so that the crosstalk can be suppressed only at the center of correlation signals. This method can reduce the requirement for the performance of an optical thresholder. Simulation results show that the designed label recognition filter can successfully suppress the crosstalk. 相似文献

We propose a novel communication technique which utilizes a set of mutually distinguishable optical patterns instead of convergent facula to transmit information. The communication capacity is increased by exploiting the optical spatial bandwidth resources. An optimum detector for this communication is proposed based on maximum-likelihood decision. The fundamental rule of designing signal spatial pattern is formulated from analysis of the probability of error decision. An image-encrypted joint transform correlator for pattern recognition is proposed and evaluated. The correlator performs twofold correlation for recognizing the primary image and cipher, and the encrypting cipher acts to enhance or inhibit the correlation peak if the cipher is correctly input. By incorporating the original image with an appropriate cipher, the correlator achieves better pattern discrimination and is robust against distortion. Simulation results show that the pixel number and the cell size of cipher affect the characteristics of the correlator. 相似文献

The existence problem of optical correlation based pattern recognition, namely its range of validity and its limitation, is
discussed in this paper conjointly with the function approximation theory of neural networks. The conclusion is that only
if the sets to be recognized are linearly separable (which is rare) or the subsets, in which a segmental sample of the targets
is involved, are linearly separable, can the classical 4f optical correlation system carry out the task of recognition inerrably.
The recognition principle of a joint transform correlator is the same as that of a 4f system, and so is its range of validities.

为使光学相关器更好地应用于自动目标识别领域,保证在较高识别速度下,具备良好的识别效果,介绍了应用于自动目标识别领域的联合变换相关器和匹配滤波相关器.针对匹配滤波相关器实现过程中的两项关键技术,在滤波器编码技术上提出了构造等相关峰综合鉴别函数以解决畸变不变识别问题.在相关峰识别技术上,针对阈值法存在的不足,提出利用BP神经网络对相关平面相关峰进行识别,采用划分感兴趣区域的方法减少了输入层神经元数目,简化了神经网络结构.借助搭建的光学相关器系统验证了该方法可对相关信号和噪声进行有效分类,提高了光学相关器的识别效果. 相似文献

Optical header recognition is one key function that enables ultrafast optical routing in photonic packet-switched networks. Especially, optical header recognition based on optical correlation processing has attracted much attention. Header signals using optical codes are decoded using optical correlation processing. We improve the decoding method for Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) header signals in order to suppress crosstalk caused by matched filtering in the header recognition unit. We design a header recognition filter using the technique of a multiple-object discriminant filter (MODF). Results of preliminary experiments show that the designed header recognition filter can suppress crosstalk. The intensity ratio of correlation signals of a target header signal to non-target ones is higher than 1.95 : 1 in case of 4-bits BPSK header signals. 相似文献

提出了一种基于光学子波变换的综合判别函数匹配滤波器(WFSDF),将光学子波变换和综合判别函数相结合,只用一个简单的4f系统就能实现输入图像和SDF子波变换的相关运算。采用计算全息的方法制作复数匹配滤波器。计算机模拟仿真结果表明,与传统的SDF匹配滤波器相比,WFSDF匹配滤波器,锐化了相关峰,提高了识别率,同时简化了光路,能够实现多目标的畸不变识别。 相似文献

The need for increasingly high-speed digital optical systems and optical processors demands ultra-fast all-optical logic and arithmetic units. In this paper, we combine the attractive and powerful parallelism property of the modified signed-digit (MSD) number representation with the ultra-fast all-optical switching property of the semiconductor optical amplifier and Mach-Zehnder interferometer (SOA-MZI) to design and implement all-optical MSD adder/subtracter circuits. Non-minimized and minimized techniques are presented to design and realize efficient circuits to perform arithmetic operations. Several all-optical circuits’ designs are proposed with the objective to minimize the number of the SOA-MZI switches, the time delay units in the adders, and other optical elements. To use the switching property of the SOA-MZI structure, two bits per digit binary encoding for each of the trinary MSD digits are used. The proposed optical circuits will be very helpful in developing hardware modules for optical digital computing processors. 相似文献

This paper proposes a novel pattern recognition system for invariance to noise and distortions. The technique first generates a synthetic discriminant function of the target image from its different distorted versions. It then takes four different phase-shifted versions of the reference image, which are individually joint transform correlated with the given input scene. Thus the proposed algorithm produces a single cross-correlation signal corresponding to each potential target. Also a fringe-adjusted filter is designed to generate a delta-like correlation peak with high discrimination between the signal and the noise. The pattern recognition system is also designed for the identification of multiple targets belonging to multiple reference objects simultaneously in a given input scene. An adaptive frequency domain equalizer (A-FDE) in quadrature phase shift keying-coherent optical-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (QPSK-CO-OFDM) system is proposed in this paper. A-FDE uses steepest descent method to search the optimal equalization parameters. And through applying the adaptive control factor (ACF) to monitor the state of A-FDE, the interference from phase noise (PN) and chromatic dispersion (CD) can be mitigated. The numerical simulation shows that the performance of A-FDE has a remarkable improvement on combating PN and CD comparing with the conventional decision-directed equalizer (DDE). And the A-FDE can achieve the forward-error-correction (FEC) threshold in noisier scenario. Furthermore, because the calculation of ACF only bases on valid data instead of pilot symbols (PSs), A-FDE has low PS overhead merit. 相似文献

This paper presents, in the form of a review, some of the results of our study addressing the advantages and disadvantages of the nonlinear effects in optical fibers for their use in high-speed, high capacity, all-optical telecommunication applications. Nonlinear effects that we cover include: self-phase modulation (SPM), cross-phase modulation (CPM), stimulated Raman scattering (SRS), and stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS). We have found that nonlinear effects can play useful and important roles in enhancing the fiber performances and creating new functions by way of fiber lasers, amplifiers, switches, logic devices, demultiplexers, signal format conversion and wavelength conversion devices. But we also have found that they can play degenerative roles limiting the performances of optical fiber communication. Trade-off between the advantages and the disadvantages of the nonlinear effects should be carefully examined in order to utilize their effects to the fullest extent. 相似文献

This paper presents the parameter design and performance analysis of a 160 Gb/s all-optical XOR gate based on cross-gain modulation (XGM) in a nonlinear Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) with quantum dot semiconductor optical amplifiers (QD-SOAs). Detailed numerical simulations of the QD-SOA parameters and optical signal parameters are performed to elevate the gate performance. With the optimized parameters, a Q factor over 8 dB is obtained. The possibility of operating at higher speed of the XOR gate is demonstrated as well. The results will be helpful for the design and performance analysis of practical quantum dot devices. 相似文献
