Zu Abrikosovs Theorie der periodischen Lösungen der GL-Gleichungen für Supraleiter 2. Art

Abrikosov's method to get periodic solutions of the GL-equations for superconductors of type II is reformulated in order to make higher approximations possible. It is shown that instead of the external magnetic field, the average field in the superconductor must be used as fixed quantity in the approximations; then the method can be extended to a general iteration procedure with a fixed period-parallelogram for the solution. In the first approximation every periodic solution is given by a simple product of ?-functions; among those solutions which possess one flux quantum per period-parallelogram only, the hexagonal modification has the lowest free energy as already proposed byKleiner et al.

For theK _α1-lines of the elements Ti, Fe, Cu and Mo the pulse-height distributions at the output of a Na I(Tl)-scintillation detector are recorded with an automatically recording single channel pulse-height analyser. The deviation to be observed in this low-energy region of the most probable from the mean value of these distributions is determined and is compared with the computations ofWright. The results may be described by an empirical formula with the energy dependenceE ^?2, whileWright predicts the dependenceE ^?1.

As was shown byBloch and byBauer andJensen, a “Schrödinger” wave packet, retaining its shape but performing a damped oscillation, may be found for an elastically bound electron when dipole radiation is taken into account. This result is rederived using the principal axis transformation of the Hamiltonian for the above mentioned problem as given byvan Kampen. Moreover the radiative decay of the first and higher excited states of the harmonic oscillator is treated in dipole approximation by the same method. One finds, besides the well-known results, that multiple quantum emission does not occur. No perturbation theory is used in any of the calculations.

The autoradiographic method consists in establishing the “true” location of nuclear radiation sources on the surface being analyzed with the aid of a two-dimensional image of their radiation field shown on the autoradiogram. Some assumptions of the proposed model are discussed and its application is shown by way of example.

Die Arbeiten umfassen methodische Fortschritte bei der Anwendung stabiler Isotope in der Biologie, Untersuchungen zum Eiweiß- und Aminosäurestoffwechsel bei Pflanzen und das Studium der Wirkung von schwerem Wasser auf physiologische und biochemische Reaktionen.

A quantum theoretical perturbation approximation is developed which, in contrast to the usual method, is not restricted to a final time interval. The calculation is applied to n-quantum transitions between the spin-Zeeman levels of protons.
