The effects of hydrostatic pressure and substitution of Rb+for the ammonium cations on the ferroelectric phase transition temperature in NH4H(ClH2CCOO)2 have been studied by electric permittivity measurements. The transition temperature (Tc) decreases with increasing pressure up to 800 MPa and the pressure coefficient dTc/dp=−1.4×10−2 [K/MPa] has been experimentally determined. The substitution of Rb+ for the ammonium cations has been shown to considerably lower the ferroelectric phase transition temperature Tc. In mixed crystals, additional electric permittivity anomaly has been clearly evidenced. The results are discussed assuming a model, which combines polarizability effects, related to the heavy ion units, with the pseudo-spin tunnelling.  相似文献

The pyroelectric properties of DMACA single crystals have been measured in the range 135–293 K, revealing the existence of ferroelectric second order phase transition at Tc = 243 K. The saturation value of spontaneous polarization Ps along a-axis amounts to 6.8 × 10−3 Cm−2 at about 203 K. Critical exponent β = 0.5 has been found in the region 0.5–10 K away from Tc.  相似文献

The (PO4)3? units in a CsH2PO4 (CDP) crystal were replaced in a small fraction of sites by (CrO4)3? groups and the EPR of the Cr5+ center was investigated. Splitting of the EPR line appears at T1c=245 K, 91 K higher that the ferroelectric transition temperature Tc=154 K. The electronic wave function of Cr5+ (3d1) is identified as dx2?y2. The dx2?y2 function couples with the near protons and the reorientation of this unit in the two possible configurations occurs in the paraelectric phase and breaks the symmetry far above Tc. The observed correlation time 10?9 sec and associated activation energy ΔU=0.215 eV are discussed.  相似文献

Electrical resistivity (?) of FeV alloys containing 0.5, 0.9, 2.7, and 6.1 at% V has been measured as a function of temperature (T) between 78 and 1200 K. The ? vs. T curves exhibit a change in the slope at the ferromagnetic Currie temperature (Tc). The d?/dT vs. T curves in the neibhorhood of Tc are similar to the corresponding plot for pure Fe. Our studies confirm the previously observed anomalous effect of V on Tc of Fe, i.e., that Tc increase with small additions of V to Fe. The critical index λ+ associated with the power law of d?/dT just above Tc has been determined as a function of V concentration.  相似文献

The unusual behavior of the low-frequency (10 Hz–1 MHz) permittivity in single crystals of ferroelectric multiferroic TbMnO3 has been experimentally and theoretically studied in detail in the region of the narrow temperature peak of the permittivity, associated with the ferroelectric phase transition (TC ~ 27.4 K). It has been found that the εc(ω, T) maximum sharply decreases with increasing measured field frequency, while the temperature position of the maximum is independent of frequency. It has been shown that the observed features of the polarization response can be satisfactorily described within the Landau–Khalatnikov polarization relaxation theory.  相似文献

The dielectric properties of the [4-NH2C5H4NH] SbCl4 (abbreviated as 4-APCA) crystal were investigated under hydrostatic pressure up to 300 Mpa. The pressure-temperature phase diagram was given. The paraelectric-ferroelectric phase transition (II→III) temperature (Tc) increases linearly with increasing pressure with a slope dTc/dp=21×10−2 K/MPa. The pressure dependence of Curie-Weiss constants has been evaluated also. In the paraelectric phase (II) the Curie constant (C+) was pressure dependent whereas the C constant over the ferroelectric phase (III) was almost constant. The results are interpreted in terms of improper and displacive type phase transition model with a soft phonon at a zone boundary.  相似文献

Critical behaviour with dimensionality d = 2 has been observed for the 300 K antiferrodistortive phase transition in Al ur6(ClO4)3 and Ga ur6(ClO4)3 by means of the temperature dependence of the ESR parameter D. The systems exhibited d = 2 behaviour in the static critical behaviour for T<Tc?40 K for T>Tc + 40 K. From the ESR data including line width measurements the local order parameter relaxation rate ω1 has been obtained for various temperatures above Tc, with a lowest value of ω1 = 150 MHz at Tc + 15 K  相似文献

Porous magnesium diboride samples have been prepared by the heat treatment of a pressed mixture of Mg and MgB2 powders. It was found that linked superconducting structure is formed down to the minimum normalized density γc=d/d0≅0.16 (percolation threshold), where d is the density of MgB2 averaged over the sample, d0=2.62 g/cm3 is the X-ray density. Lattice parameters and critical temperature of the porous sample decrease with increasing porosity (decreasing γ) and Tc2≅32 K is minimal at γc. The grain boundaries in the porous samples are transparent for the current and Jc∼3×105 A/cm2 in self field at T=20 K in the samples with γ∼0.24.  相似文献

Second-harmonic generation in the ternary layered semiconductor TlInS2 excited with the wavelength λ = 1.06 μm of YAG: Nd3 + laser is investigated in the temperature range corresponding to the low-temperature phase transitions. It is shown that the intensity of the second-harmonic signal corresponding to the non-linear coefficients deff, d21, d22 reveals peculiarities close to the commensurate-incommensurate phase transitions. The temperature hysteresis of the second-harmonic signal in the low-temperature region (below and close to Ti2 = 206K) is explained assuming that an incomplete lock-in transition in TlInS2 takes place at Tc1 =204K within the temperature range between a ferroelectric (Tc2 = 201K) and an incommensurate (Ti2 = 206 K) phases. It is shown that the monoclinic point group symmetry C2 is preserved also at temperatures lower than the phase transition temperature Tc4 = 79K to a weak ferroelectric state.  相似文献

The spin valve effect for the superconducting current based on the superconductor/ferromagnet proximity effect has been studied for a CoO x /Fe1/Cu/Fe2/Cu/Pb multilayer. The magnitude of the effect ΔT c = T c AP ? T c P , where T c P and T c AP are the superconducting transition temperatures for the parallel (P) and antiparallel (AP) orientation of magnetizations, respectively, has been measured for different thicknesses of the Fe1 layer d Fe1. The obtained dependence of the effect on d Fe1 reveals that ΔT c can be increased in comparison with the case of a half-infinite Fe1 layer considered by the previous theory. A maximum of the spin valve effect occurs at d Fe1d Fe2. At the optimal value of d Fe1 almost full switching from the normal to the superconducting state when changing the mutual orientation of magnetizations of the iron layers Fe1 and Fe2 from P to AP is demonstrated.  相似文献

In order to elucidate the anisotropic pressure effect on superconductivity in an iron-based superconductor, magnetization measurements have been performed in Ba(Fe0.92Co0.08)2As2 single crystals under uniaxial pressures applied along the c-axis. Gigantic Tc suppression, dTc/dP//c = −15 K/GPa, was observed when the anisotropic deformation with the a-expansion and c-compression was induced by the c-pressure, which should be compared with dTc/dP < +1 K/GPa in the isotropic pressure case. This suggests that the a-axis (c-axis) compression has a positive (negative) contribution to Tc.  相似文献

Low-frequency Raman spectra of a LiTaO3 ferroelectric crystal are studied in the temperature range 300–1273 K. The central peak associated with the relaxation susceptibility of the crystal lattice is recorded throughout the temperature range covered, including the temperatures both substantially lower and considerably higher than the Curie point (T c = 900 K). The critical slowing down of the relaxation response time predicted by the Ginzburg-Landau-Devonshire theory is observed in the temperature range from 0.9T c to 1.1T c . In contrast to the critical slowing down, the width of the central peak γR increases below 0.9T c and decreases above 1.1T c with increasing temperature.  相似文献

The ferroelectric phase transition in RbHSeO4 has been examined by precise measurements of the temperature dependence of the unit-cell parameters using the Bond technique. The transition, at Tc = 370.6 K, is of first order and the triclinic unit cell of the ferroelectric phase transforms to an equitranslational monoclinic cell in the paraelectric phase. In a temperature region of several K below Tc reflections belonging to both phases have been observed.  相似文献

The effect of pressure on Tc was studied on 110 K class Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O (1:1:1:2) compounds. Tc was varied with current in I3/2 , and defined at the value extrapolated to zero current. dTc /dP = + 0.18 K/kbar was obtained up to 10.9 kbars.  相似文献

Raman spectra of the SrTiO3 crystal have been measured in wide temperature (22?C316 K) and frequency (2?C1020 cm?1) ranges. It has been shown that a central peak appears in low-frequency Raman spectra at temperatures above 70 K. In the spectral geometry with polarization rotation near the temperature T c = 106 K of the cubic-to-tetragonal phase transition, the central peak exhibits properties of the order-disorder phase transition. Such a behavior of the central peak has been explained by the interaction of the low-frequency soft mode E g with the relaxation mode near T c .  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the elastic coefficients of T1InS2 has been investigated by Brillouin scattering measurements. For longitudinal phonons propagating in the (001) plane the variation of ΔC∼(TcT) was found below the ferroelectric transition point (Tc=189 K). For propagation perpendicular to the (001) plane (C33 mode) clear anomalies were observed at T=213 K and T=195 K. Between these temperatures the Brillouin peaks show broadening, which is attibuted to a coupling between the acoustic mode and an overdamped mode.  相似文献

Temperature dependences of the forced volume magnetostriction dω/dH and the saturation magnetization σs for (CoTm)90Zr10 (Tm = Cr, Mo) amorphous alloys have recently been measured by the 3-terminal capacitance method and a vibrating sample magnetometer and magnetic balance at temperatures from 77 K to the Curie temperature Tc or the crystallization temperature. The pressure coefficient of σs0 at 0 K, d ln σs0/dp, is estimated from (dω/dH)0 extrapolated to 0 K using the thermodynamical relation. The values of d ln σs0/dp increase in negative value with increasing Tm concentration. The relation between d ln σs0/dp and the pressure coefficient of Tc, d ln Tc/dp, estimated indirectly from dω/dH is discussed.  相似文献

The pressure derivatives of the elastic constants cij of orthorhombic Li2Ge7O15 have been determined at 293 K by the method of pressure-induced shifts of resonance frequencies of thick plates at ca. 15 MHz in the range between 0 and 1500 bar. Approaching the transition at ca. 630 bar, all Pij = dcij/dp (i, j = 1, 2, 3; p pressure) develop strongly negative values. At higher pressures a similar behaviour with reversed sign is observed. The pressure derivatives of the pure “shear resistances” c44, c55, and c66 depend only slightly on pressure even in the vicinity of the transition. The main interactions driving the transition are of the totally symmetric type. The values dK?1/dp (K volume compressibility) deviate strongly from the quasi-invariant value of ca. 5 observed in almost all stable crystals (dK?1/dp = ? 1750 at 620 bar and 1380 at 700 bar). The anomalous piezoelastic behaviour reflects the anomalous thermoelastic behaviour: negative Pij in the low pressure (high temperature) phase correspond to positive Tij = d log cij/dT (T temperature) and vice versa.  相似文献
