Laser induced excitation spectrum of the Nd3+ ions doped in oxyfluoroborate glass have been recorded. Stark components of different electronic states have been reported. Judd-Ofelt analysis has also been accomplished on the basis of ultraviolet-visible-near-infrared (UV-vis-NIR) absorption spectrum. In this paper, the spectroscopic properties of Nd(3+) doped transparent oxyfluoride glass ceramics containing LaF(3) nano-crystals were systematically studied. The formation and distribution of LaF(3) nano-crystals in the glass matrix were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Based on Judd-Ofelt theory, the intensity parameters Omega(t) (t=2, 4, 6), spontaneous emission probability, radiative lifetime, radiative quantum efficiency, width of the emission line and stimulated emission cross-section of Nd(3+) were evaluated. Particularly, the effect of Nd(3+) doping level on them was discussed. With the increase of Nd(3+) concentration in the glass ceramic, the experimental luminescence lifetime, radiative quantum efficiency and stimulated emission cross-section vary from 353.4 micros, 78.3% and 1.86 x 10(-20)cm(2) to 214.7 micros, 39.9% and 1.52 x 10(-20)cm(2), respectively. The comparative study of Nd(3+) spectroscopic parameters in different hosts suggests that the investigated glass ceramic system is potentially applicable as laser materials for 1.06 microm emission. 相似文献

In order to reveal the effects of rare earth elements on the rheological behavior of silicate melt, the properties of viscosity and thermal expansion of soda-lime-silica glass doped with Gd2O3 and Y2O3 were investigated by the rotating crucible viscometer and dilatometry. The results show that, introduction of Gd2O3 and Y2O3 increases the coefficient of thermal expansion and decreases viscosity of soda-lime-silica glass. When the amount of Gd2O3 and Y2O3 increases from 0 to 1.00 mol%, the coefficient of thermal expansion of soda-lime-silica glass increases firstly from 7.67 to 7.79 and 8.05, and then decreases to 7.78 and 7.66 ( × 10−6 °C−1) respectively. In the case of melting temperature, its value decreases from 1830K to 1714 K, and then elevates to 1727 K as the content of Gd2O3 up to 1.00 mol%, however, as Y2O3 content increases from 0 to 1.00 mol% the melting temperature decreases monotonously from 1830K to 1737 K. The viscosity, melting temperature and coefficient of thermal expansion of soda-lime-silica glasses co-doped with Gd2O3 and Y2O3 are larger, comparing with glasses doped solely with Gd2O3 or Y2O3. The effect of co-doping with Gd2O3 and Y2O3 on thermal expansion and viscosity properties of soda-lime-silica glass, which is similar with the mixed-alkali effect in silicate glasses, is also observed. 相似文献

Nd(3+) doped unconventional sodium leadbismuthate glass is prepared through the melt quenching method. The amorphous nature of the glass is confirmed through the X-ray diffraction study. The differential thermal study was performed to identify the glass transition and approximate glass thermal stability measurements. To identify the local structure of the glass, Fourier transform infrared spectral analysis was also carried out. Ho3+ doped oxyfluoroborate glasses have been prepared with different concentration of holmium. The absorption and the fluorescence spectra have been recorded and used to determine various optical parameters such as oscillator strength, Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters, electric dipole line strengths, transition probability, branching ratio, stimulated emission cross section etc. Lifetime of the 5S2 level has been measured and found to decrease with an increase of the rare earth concentration. Polyaniline/neodymium(III) oxide (PANI/Nd2O3) composites were synthesized by in situ chemical oxidative polymerization method, and the new electrode materials were used for supercapacitor. The composites were characterized physically by scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR) and X‐ray diffraction (XRD). SEM, IR and XRD results showed the existence of interactions between PANI and Nd2O3. The electrochemical capacitance performance of the composites was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge–discharge tests and ac impedance spectroscopy with a three‐electrode system in 6 M KOH solution. Cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge tests proved that the addition of Nd2O3 enhanced the capacitance of the composites. However, the conductivity of the composites decreases with increasing the amount of Nd2O3. Electrochemical impedance tests manifest that the charge‐transfer resistance of the composites is smaller than that of the pure PANI, which indicates the addition of Nd2O3 could lower resistance and facilitate the charge transfer of the active materials. All results support that Nd2O3 has a significant contribution to the performance of PANI and makes the composites have more active sites for faradiac reaction and larger specific capacitance than pure PANI. Optical absorption, fluorescence and photoacoustic spectra of Dy3+ doped in oxyfluoroborate glass has been studied. Lifetime of 4F(9/2) level has been measured for different concentration of Dy3+. Effect of concentration quenching on the lifetime and the fluorescence yield has been observed and the mechanism of energy transfer discussed. A new route for preparing a CdS doped sodium borosilicate glass from a gel formed in an aqueous solution is described. This elaboration process allows the preparation of a gel which starts densifying at 400°C just after the Cd sulphurizing process ensuring the protection of crystallites from oxidation. The densification of the matrix is completed at the fusion temperature (730°C), which is low enough to reduce the coalescence of the crystallites. Microstructural and optical characterization of the CdS doped glasses indicate that the crystallite size depends upon the Cd concentration. A model to calculate the crystallite size from optical absorption spectra is proposed. It indicates that the average sizes of crystallites range from 11 nm for a concentration of 0.03 mol% Cd to 3.7 nm for 0.016 mol% Cd. 相似文献

Glasses with the composition of (1 - x)TeO2 + (x)WO3, where x = 0.15, 0.25 and 0.3 were prepared and, their thermal and absorption measurements were carried out. Differential thermal analysis (DTA) curves taken in the 23-600 degrees C temperature range with a heating rate of 10 degrees C/min reveal a change in the value of the glass transition temperature, Tg, while crystallization was not observed for the glasses containing a WO3 content of more than 15 mol%. All the glasses were found to be moisture-resistant. The absorption bands corresponding to the absorption of the 1G4, 3F2, 3F3 and 3F4, 3H5 and 3H4 levels from the 3H6 ground level of the Tm3+ ion were observed in the optical absorption spectra. Integrated absorption cross-sections of each band except that of 3H5 level was found to vary with the glass composition. Judd-Ofelt analysis was carried out for the samples doped with 1.0 mol% Tm2O3. The omega2 parameter shows the strongest dependence on the host composition and it increases with the increasing WO3 amount. The value of omega4 increases rather slowly while the value of omega6 is practically independent of the composition. The strong dependence of the parameter omega2 indicates that this parameter is related to the structural change and the symmetry of the local environment of the Tm3+ ions in this glass. 相似文献

Optical absorption and fluorescence spectra of Sm3+ doped calibo glasses and the effects on these on addition of lead oxide have been recorded. The concentration of lead oxide has been varied from 0 to 30 mol%. The Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters Omegalambda (lambda=2, 4, 6) for f-f transitions in Sm3+ ions trapped in these glasses are calculated and their variation with increase in proportion of lead oxide has been discussed. It is observed from the fluorescence spectra that the intensity of fluorescence reaches a maximum when 20% of PbO is present. Stimulated emission cross-section is calculated and compared with its value for other lattices. 相似文献

Judd-Ofelt analysis of Sm(3+) ions doped in a tellurite glass has been accomplished. Fluorescence and life-time measurements have been carried out using Ar(+) laser and excimer laser. Stark splitting has been observed in the upper and lower levels in fluorescence. The life-time of 4G(5/2) level as a function of Sm(3+) concentration has been measured. Polyaniline–Nd2O3:Al2O3 nanocomposites were prepared by in situ oxidative polymerization method using different weight percentages of oxide powders. The prepared nanocomposites were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X‐ray diffraction for molecular and crystal structures. Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy images show the tubular structure of polyaniline nanocomposite with embedded metal oxides. The electrical conductivity of the nanocomposites increases with increase in temperature as well as with concentration of Nd2O3:Al2O3 particles in polyaniline. This is because of the hopping of charge polarons and extended chain length of the nanocomposites as evidenced by the negative thermal coefficient (NTC) characteristic. A high NTC value of 2.67 was found in nanocomposites with 15 wt% of oxide particles. These nanocomposites show low dielectric constant and dielectric loss; the electrical conductivity is higher than 0.3 S/cm as confirmed by Cole–Cole plot that indicates a decrease in both grain resistance and bulk resistance of the nanocomposites. The current–voltage and capacitance–voltage measurements were also carried out. The carrier mobility μ values of pure polyaniline and nanocomposites were found to be 4.27 × 10?3 and 1.45 × 10–2 H.M?1, respectively. 采用溶胶-凝胶法合成SiO2含量为0.05%(w,质量分数)的Ce0.8Nd0.2O1.9(NDC)粉体(NDCSi).分别将0-2.0%(x,摩尔分数)的MgO或FeO1.5添加到NDCSi粉体中,经10MPa压片后于1300°C烧结6h.采用X射线衍射(XRD)、拉曼(Raman)光谱和场发射扫描电子显微镜(FE-SEM)对样品进行结构表征.采用交流(AC)阻抗谱测试样品导电性能.结果表明:所有样品均呈现单一立方萤石结构.MgO或Fe2O3掺杂于NDCSi体系,均可提高材料的致密度,降低烧结温度,提高材料的晶界电导率和总电导率.掺杂MgO或Fe2O3样品的相对密度(>93%)高于NDC或NDCSi(约86%),有效促进了样品致密化.掺杂Fe2O3或MgO的样品(NDCSi+0N.D5FCeSOi样1.5或品总ND电C导Si率+2(.10.M1×g1O0)-具3S有·c最m高-1)电的导5.7率和,525.60倍°C.M时g总O电或导Fe率2O分3掺别杂是于6.N3D×C10S-i3样或品2.对9×晶10界-3电S·导c率m-的1,是影响比晶粒电导率更明显.MgO或Fe2O3掺杂于NDCSi均具有烧结助剂和晶界清除剂的双重作用,但清除杂质SiO2的机制不同. 相似文献

以聚乙烯合丁烯-嵌-聚氧乙烯嵌段共聚物(PHB-PEO)作模板, 采用蒸发诱导自组装方法, 分别制备了Y2O3和Nd2O3介孔薄膜. 用小角、广角X射线衍射和透射电子显微镜对薄膜样品在不同的热处理阶段进行了表征. 结果表明, 所制备的Y2O3和Nd2O3薄膜样品呈现一种大孔径(平均孔径分别约为11.5和12.5 nm)、有序的立方扭曲球形孔排列、稳定于450 ℃并具有部分晶态孔壁结构的介孔薄膜材料. 相似文献

Electrical resistivity and Hall effect measurements at 77–373°K are presented for Zn doped ZnO crystals. The crystals have been doped systematically at 600–1100°C in controlled pressures of Zn. The concentration of electrons at room temperature is in the range nRT = 2.5 × 1016, to 3.6 × 1018, cm?3. The donor level ED and the concentrations of donors ND and acceptors NA have been calculated from a best fit to the experimental relationships log n versus and log μH versus log T. At dilute concentrations of donors, two donor levels have been observed, EDI = 0.043–0.045 eV and a deeper level EIID greater than 0.165 eV. The ZnO was found to behave as a metal at ND ~ 6 × 1018, cm?3.At least two different donors have to be assumed in order to explain the experimental results. It is suggested that interstitial Zn is the electrical active donor at higher doping levels. The nature of the other donor is not clear. Neither 1s1 H-type nor 1s2 He-type donors seem to explain all the observations consistently. 相似文献

Heavy metal based oxide glasses having composition xBi(2)O(3).(0.30 - x)PbO.0.70B(2)O(3) have been prepared (0.00 < or = x < or = 0.15, mol%) containing 2.0mol% of V(2)O(5) by normal melt-quenching technique. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), optical spectra and dc conductivity of these glasses have been studied. Spin Hamiltonian parameters (SHP) of VO(2+) ions, dipolar hyperfine parameter, P and Fermi contact interaction parameter, K, molecular orbital coefficients (alpha(2) and gamma(2)) and optical band gap have been calculated. It is observed that in these glasses, the tetragonal nature of V(4+)O(6) complex increases with Bi(2)O(3) content. Increase in Bi(2)O(3):PbO ratio results in the contraction of 3d(xy) orbit of the unpaired electron in the vanadium ion, and the SHP are dependent on the theoretical optical basicity, Lambda(th). In present glasses, the conductivity (activation energy) first decreases (increases) with increase in mol% of Bi(2)O(3) content upto x = 0.08 and then shows a maxima (minima) at x = 0.10 and then starts decreasing (increasing) upto x < or = 0.15 with mol% of Bi(2)O(3) content. 相似文献
