We prove a theorem about global existence (in time) of the solution to the initial-value problem for a nonliear system of coupled partial differential equations of fourth order describing the thermoelasticity of non-simple materias. We consider such the case of thim system in which some nonlinear coeffcients can depend not only on the temperature and the gradient of displacement and also on the second derivative of displacement. The corresponding global existence theorem has been proved using the L p L q time decay estmates for the solution of the associated linearized problem. Next, we proved the energy estimate in the Sobolev space with constant independent of time. Such an energy estimate allows us to apply the standard continuation argument and to continue the local solution to one desired for all t ∈ (0, ∞)  相似文献

This paper is devoted to some behaviors of solutions of the initial-boundary problem for a singular diffusion equation, namely, localization and large time behavior. After given some special explicit solutions it is proved that solutions of the problem possess the localization property. Next, L2 decay estimate as t→∞ is proved by a rather standard energy method. Finally, by comparison with a special solution the expected L decay estimate is derived.  相似文献

In this paper the global existence of weak solutions for the Vlasov-Poisson-Fokker-Planck equations in three dimensions is proved with an L1Lp initial data. Also, the global existence of weak solutions in four dimensions with small initial data is studied. A convergence of the solutions is obtained to those built by E. Horst and R. Hunze when the Fokker-Planck term vanishes. In order to obtain the a priori necessary estimates a sequence of approximate problems is introduced. This sequence is obtained starting from a non-linear regulation of the problem together with a linearization via a time retarded mollification of the non-linear term. The a priori bounds are reached by means of the control of the kinetic energy in the approximate sequence of problems. Then, the proof is completed obtaining the equicontinuity properties which allow to pass to the limit.  相似文献

We prove the existence of global solutions to the initial-boundary-value problem on the half space R+ for a one-dimensional viscous ideal polytropic gas. Some suitable assumptions are made to guarantee the existence of smooth solutions. Employing the L2- energy estimate, we prove that the impermeable problem has a unique global solutionis.  相似文献

We prove a weighted L estimate for the solution to the linear wave equation with a smooth positive time independent potential. The proof is based on application of generalized Fourier transform for the perturbed Laplace operator and a finite dependence domain argument. We apply this estimate to prove the existence of global small data solution to supercritical semilinear wave equations with potential.  相似文献

This paper aims to present a proof of the existence of the attractor for the one-dimensional viscous Fornberg–Whitham equation. In this paper, the global existence of solution to the viscous Fornberg–Whitham equation in L2 under the periodic boundary conditions is studied. By using the time estimate of the Fornberg–Whitham equation, we get the compact and bounded absorbing set and the existence of the global attractor for the viscous Fornberg–Whitham equation.  相似文献

In this paper, a time‐delayed free boundary problem for tumor growth under the action of external inhibitors is studied. It is assumed that the process of proliferation is delayed compared with apoptosis. By Lp theory of parabolic equations, the Banach fixed point theorem and the continuation theorem, the existence and uniqueness of a global solution is proved. The aim of this paper is to present a new system of equations describing nonlocal model of thermoviscoelastic theory. We used the Papkin and Gurtin approach based on the constitutive relations for stress tensor σ(x), internal energy e(x) and heat flux q(x), with integral terms. Using the modified Cagniard-de Hoop's method we constructed the matrix of fundamental solutions for this system of equations in three-dimensional space. Basing on this matrix we represent in the explicit formula the solution of the Cauchy problem to this system of equations. In this article, based on a second-order backward difference method, a completely discrete scheme is discussed for a Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic fluid flow model with nonzero forcing function, which is either independent of time or in L (L 2). After deriving some a priori bounds for the solution of a semidiscrete Galerkin finite element scheme, a second-order backward difference method is applied for temporal discretization. Then, a priori estimates in Dirichlet norm are derived, which are valid uniformly in time using a combination of discrete Gronwall’s lemma and Stolz-Cesaro’s classical result on sequences. Moreover, an existence of a discrete global attractor for the discrete problem is established. Further, optimal a priori error estimates are obtained, whose bounds may depend exponentially in time. Under uniqueness condition, these estimates are shown to be uniform in time. Finally, several numerical experiments are conducted to confirm our theoretical findings.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an initial boundary value problem for the 3‐dimensional nonhomogeneous incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with density‐dependent viscosity and resistivity coefficients over a bounded smooth domain. Global in time unique strong solution is proved to exist when the L2 norms of initial vorticity and current density are both suitably small with arbitrary large initial density, and the vacuum of initial density is also allowed. Finally, we revisit the Navier‐Stokes model without electromagnetic effect. We find that this initial boundary problem also admits a unique global strong solution under other conditions. In particular, we prove small kinetic‐energy strong solution exists globally in time, which extends the recent result of Huang and Wang.  相似文献

We study the initial value problem for the generalized Boussinesq equation and prove existence of local and global solutions with singular initial data in weak-Lp spaces. Our class of initial data for global existence is larger than that of Cho and Ozawa (2007) [7]. Long time behavior results are obtained and a scattering theory is proved in that framework. With more structure, we show Sobolev H1 and Lorentz-type L(p,q) regularity properties for the obtained solutions. The approach employed is unified for all dimensions n?1.  相似文献

In this paper we give a proof of the global existence of weak solutions for the semiconductor Boltzmann equation. This equation rules the evolution of the distribution function of carriers in the kinetic model of semiconductors. The main tool for the proof consists of a recent compactness result on velocity averages of solutions of transport equations. This result needs a L2-estimate of the electric field, which is obtained from the energy estimate, using the original regularization procedure of the problem, proposed in this paper.  相似文献

In this paper we are concerned with the initial boundary value problem of the micropolar fluid system in a three dimensional bounded domain. We study the resolvent problem of the linearized equations and prove the generation of analytic semigroup and its time decay estimates. In particular, LpLq type estimates are obtained. By use of the LpLq estimates for the semigroup, we prove the existence theorem of global in time solution to the original nonlinear problem for small initial data. In this paper, we study the large time behavior of the solution to the initial boundary value problem for 2-D viscous conservation laws in the space x ? bt. The global existence and the asymptotic stability of a stationary solution are proved by Kawashima et al. [1]. Here, we investigate the convergence rate of solution toward the boundary layer solution with the non-degenerate case where f′(u+) − b < 0. Based on the estimate in the H2 Sobolev space and via the weighted energy method, we draw the conclusion that the solution converges to the corresponding boundary layer solution with algebraic or exponential rate in time, under the assumption that the initial perturbation decays with algebraic or exponential in the spatial direction.  相似文献

We investigate a model arising from biology, which is a hyperbolic- parabolic coupled system. First, we prove the global existence and asymptotic behavior of smooth solutions to the Cauchy problem without any smallness assumption on the initial data. Second, if the Hs ∩ Ll-norm of initial data is sufficiently small, we also establish decay rates of the global smooth solutions. In particular, the optimal L2 decay rate of the solution and the almost optimal L2 decay rate of the first-order derivatives of the solution are obtained. These results are obtained by constructing a new nonnegative convex entropy and combining spectral analysis with energy methods.  相似文献

For multidimensional equations of flow of thin capillary films with nonlinear diffusion and convection, we prove the existence of a strong nonnegative generalized solution of the Cauchy problem with initial function in the form of a nonnegative Radon measure with compact support. We determine the exact upper estimate (global in time) for the rate of propagation of the support of this solution. The cases where the degeneracy of the equation corresponds to the conditions of “strong” and “weak” slip are analyzed separately. In particular, in the case of “ weak” slip, we establish the exact estimate of decrease in the L 2-norm of the gradient of solution. In this article, we use the weak Galerkin (WG) finite element method to study a class of time fractional generalized Burgers' equation. The existence of numerical solutions and the stability of fully discrete scheme are proved. Meanwhile, by applying the energy method, an optimal order error estimate in discrete L2 norm is established. Numerical experiments are presented to validate the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

This paper is a continuation of our recent paper 8 . We will consider the semi‐linear Cauchy problem for wave models with scale‐invariant time‐dependent mass and dissipation and power non‐linearity. The goal is to study the interplay between the coefficients of the mass and the dissipation term to prove global existence (in time) of small data energy solutions assuming suitable regularity on the L2 scale with additional L1 regularity for the data. In order to deal with this L2 regularity in the non‐linear part, we will develop and employ some tools from Harmonic Analysis.  相似文献

Local existence of solutions of a mixed problem for non-linear Maxwell equations is proved. The solution is so regular that its third derivatives are from L2.
