Elastic and charge-exchange K+n differential cross sections have been measured from K+d interactions from 430 to 940 MeV/c using spark chambers and scintillation counters. The data have been compared with existing results and in an accompanying paper have been included with other measurements in a phase-shift analysis.  相似文献

Twenty-eight γ-rays, ten of which are reported for the first time, have been observed in the decay of 235U, and all have been placed in a revised level scheme for 231Th. Three new levels at 390.27, 317.42 and 240.82 keV respectively have been proposed and the data are in accord with he results of coincidence studies. Reduced transition probabilities of inter-band γ-ray transitions are calculated from the data and compared with theory and an estimate of the intrinsic quadrupole moment, QO has been computed.  相似文献

The vibration–rotation spectra of NH have been reinvestigated using laboratory spectra and infrared solar spectra recorded from orbit by the ACE and ATMOS instruments. In addition to identifying the previously unobserved 6–5 vibration–rotation band in the laboratory spectra, many additional high N rotational lines have been observed. By combining the new observations with the previously published data and recent far infrared data, an improved set of molecular constants and term values have been derived for the X3Σ and A3Π states.  相似文献

The elastic scattering of 6Li + 16O at 48 MeV has been measured and fitted with an optical model calculation. Measurements have been made of the 16O(6Li, α)F reaction at 48 MeV populating the 1+ g.s., 3+ 0.927 MeV and 5+ 1.122 MeV states in 18F. The data exhibit cross sections at large angles comparable to those at forward angles, and have been compared with exact finite-range DWBA calculations. Exchange contributions were included for the 1+ g.s. and were unable to account for the large-angle data. Calculated statistical compound nucleus cross sections were approximately a factor of 100 below the data. The same conclusions are reached for previously published data at 34 MeV.  相似文献

High-resolution Fourier transform spectra have been recorded from 15–470 cm–1 for the far-infrared trosion-rotation band of O-18 methanol in the vibrational ground state. So far, 57 subbands have been assigned in the 15–220 cm–1 region for a wide range of rotational and torsional states, and their J-independent origins have been determined to an estimated accuracy of ±0.01 cm–1. The observed origins were found to deviate in many cases by several tenths of a cm–1 from the values calculated with the previous molecular parameters. Together with 4 known microwave origins, the new data have been fitted to a model torsion-rotation Hamiltonian in order to refine the set ofb-type molecular constants for the ground state. With the new parameter set, the experimental subband origins are reproduced with an rms error of ±0.02 cm–1, representing a substantial improvement over the earlier situation. The spectroscopic results have also been of great assistance with our assignments of optically-pumped FIR laser emission in CH3 18OH, in providing FIR data for checking the identification of the IR-pump/FIR-laser transition systems through combination loop relations.  相似文献

In this paper, the elastic scattering angular distributions of 6,7Li on 64Zn have been investigated by using various nuclear potentials. For this, we use the phenomenological Woods-Saxon potential, the real double folding potential with the density-independent M3Y effective interaction supplemented with an imaginary part in Woods-Saxon form and the double folding potentials multiplied with a normalization factor of the real and imaginary parts via the density-independent and CDM3Y6 density-dependent versions of the M3Y effective interaction have been used. The results have been compared with each other as well as with the experimental data. It has been observed that the agreement between the theoretical results and earlier reported data is perfect. Finally, the change of the total reaction cross sections with energy has been investigated.  相似文献

The 144Sm(d, p) reaction has been studied at an incident deuteron energy of 19 MeV using the injector-tandem accelerator and the multichannel magnetic speetrograph of the University of Oxford. Angular distributions have been measured for transitions to levels of 145Sm up to an excitation energy of 3.2 MeV. Theoretical (d, p) distributions have been calculated using the program DWUCK. and orbital angular momentum transfers and spectroscopic factors have been deduced by comparing these calculations with the experimental data. The spectroscopic information derived from this study is more complete than that previously reported and many new assignments have been made. The level scheme of 145Sm has been found to resemble closely the level schemes of the other N = 83 nuclei.  相似文献

The 74Ge(p, p') inelastic scattering has been studied at 22 MeV with an overall resolution of 10 keV using a tandem Van de Graaff and a split-pole magnetic spectrometer. Angular distributions have been obtained for about 40 levels in 74Ge and comparisons with DWBA and CCBA calculations have allowed spin and parity assignments. The presence of an important collective component in the wave functions of many levels is required in order to explain the data. Possible unnatural-parity levels are populated.  相似文献

Based on an α-particle model of 12C, an optical potential for intermediate-energy proton- 12C scattering is presented in the framework of the KMT theory. The parameterized proton- 4He amplitude, the required basic input for constructing the optical potential, is obtained by fitting the proton- 4He scattering data. The differential cross-sections and analyzing powers of the proton- 12C elastic scattering at incident energies ranging from 0.2 to 1.0GeV have been calculated by using the obtained optical potential. The main features of the measured angular distributions of the cross-section and the analyzing power can be satisfactorily described. The proton- 12C total cross-sections have also been calculated, and the results are in good agreement with the experimental data at energies below 0.6GeV but underestimate the data about 6% at higher energies.  相似文献

Relative transition probabilities of 13 transitions between the 3p54s and 3p54p configurations in Ar I have been measured in emission with a wall-stabilized arc. These data have been combined to yield relative lifetimes which are compared with recent direct lifetime measurements. An important consideration in our experiment was to minimize effects of radiation imprisonment since this effect may have played an important role in lifetime measurements by other methods. Our results agree well with most previously published lifetime data and emission measurements.  相似文献

Incoherent quasi-elastic neutron-scattering spectra have been measured on powder samples of D-BPBAC in its smectic E, B and A phases using the high-resolution backscattering technique. The data have been analysed in terms of translational diffusion and a localized rotational motion. It has been found that the apparent translational diffusion constant has a temperature dependent value of ~1 × 10-6 cm2 s-1 in the smectic A phase but is smaller by at least an order of magnitude in the smectic B and E phases. Comparison of the widths of the rotational components of the spectra with other measurements suggests that simple rotational models are not adequate to explain the experimental data.  相似文献

Yields for the reaction 181Ta(γ, π+)181Hf have been measured by an activation method using bremsstrahlung radiation with end-point energies in the range 150–360 MeV. The data have been unfolded to give cross section results corresponding to bombarding with monoenergetic photons. A comparison is made with respect to previous results and a semiclassical cascade-model calculation.  相似文献

Differential cross sections have been measured for the elastic scattering of 217 MeV 3He particles from 6Li, 9Be, 12C, 28Si, 40Ca, 58Ni, 89Y, 90Zr, 120Sn and 208pb. The data have been analysed with an optical potential. The ambiguities found at lower energies (discrete families of real potential well depths) disappear. An optical potential is also calculated with an effective 3He-N interaction and a matter distribution. The agreement with experiment is good. Some comparisons are made with 166 MeV α-particle elastic scattering data.  相似文献

In the present work angular momenta of the fragments corresponding to132Im,g have been deduced from the radiochemically determined independent isomeric yield ratios and statistical model based analysis in neutron induced fission of235U,239Pu and245Cm and spontaneous fission of252Cf. These data along with similar data on134I, reported earlier from this laboratory, bring out the effects of deformed 66n and spherical 82n shells on fragment angular momentum showing also an inverse correlation of the latter with elemental yields. Quantitative estimates of fragment scission point deformation and the coefficient of change of fragment angular momentum with kinetic/excitation energy have been deduced and are seen to be in good agreement with the expected theoretical estimates.  相似文献

Electron spin resonance spectra of non-Kramers bivalent iron (Fe2+) ions have been detected in synthetic and natural beryl crystals with an iron impurity. The observed ESR spectra have been attributed to resonance transitions of Fe2+ ions from the ground (singlet) state to excited (doublet) levels with the splitting Δ = 12.7 cm–1 between the levels. The experimental angular and frequency dependences of the resonance field of the ESR signal have been described by the spin Hamiltonian with the effective spin S = 1. The analysis of the ESR data and optical absorption spectra indicates that the Fe2+ ions are situated in tetrahedral positions and substitute Be2+ cations in the beryl structure.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of electrons from the ground states of copper for the configuration 3d10 4s and the excitation state 2D with the configuration 3d9 4s2 have been calculated. Local density approximations to the exchange and correlation potentials have been used in these calculations, and it is confirmed that Hara exchange coupled with a Hedin-Lundqvist electron-gas-type correlation potential joined to an adiabatic polarization potential gives good predictions for differential cross sections. A comparison of the calculated results with other experimental and theoretical data are presented and discussed.  相似文献

High-accuracy mass measurements have been performed with the Penning trap mass spectrometer ISOLTRAP at ISOLDE/CERN. The short-lived nuclides 70, 71, 72, 73Se , 72, 73, 74, 75Br , and 98, 99, 100, 101, 103Ag have been measured with an average uncertainty of a few keV. The data are important input for nucleosynthesis calculations of the rp-process beyond Z = 32 .  相似文献

The reaction 13C(6Li, t)16O has been studied in the incident energy range 24–26 MeV. Complete angular distributions have been measured at E6Li, = 25 MeV in the angular range θlab = 8°–172°, with the reaction 6Li(13C, t)6O being used for the backward angle measurements. Cross sections for evaporation residues from the fusion of the 6Li + 13C system have been measured in the incident 6Li energy range 9.2–35.1 MeV. Compound nuclear contributions to the transfer cross sections have been calculated using the Hauser-Feshbach statistical theory with the assumption that the compound-nucleus formation cross section is equal to the measured fusion cross section. By comparison of the compound nuclear calculations with backward angle data it is found that the sharp cutoff approximation commonly used to represent the initial angular momentum distribution of the compound nucleus is not adequate for the 13C(6Li, t)16O reaction. Good fits to the backward angle data can be obtained by using a smooth cutoff approximation. The forward angle cross sections have been compared with exact finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation calculations to extract transferred angular momenta and spectroscopic strengths. The present results differ from those of an earlier study. These differences are due to the inclusion of forward angle data in the present study.  相似文献

The far-infrared laser magnetic resonance spectrum of34S16O in the ground X3Σ? state has been observed using five optically pumped laser lines as sources. The isotopic sulfur monoxide radical was produced by the reaction of oxygen gas with sulfur vaporized from an oven. The construction and design of such an oven have been discussed. A merged least squares fit of the earlier EPR and microwave results, and the present data yield better-determined molecular constants.  相似文献

We report the measurement of the strong interaction shifts and widths of the 3d → 2p transitions in pionic 40,42,43,44,48Ca and 46,48,50Ti. Using these new data in combination with earlier low-Z pionic data (6 ≦ Z ≦ 16), we have studied, in a purely phenomenological way, the pion-nuclear optical potential. Employing nuclear-structure information from Hartree-Fock calculations and measured charge densities, we have fitted the pion-nuclear potential parameters to the pionic atom data. The effect of adding an isovector dependence to the s- and p-wave two-nucleon terms has been investigated. We have also explored the sensitivity of these data to the value of the Lorentz-Lorenz parameter ξ. A small but definite sensitivity to the latter parameter has been observed with the best fit value of ξ being significantly greater than 1. We have used the phenomenological potentials to determine the neutron radii of the Ca and Ti isotopes and, in fact, find reasonable agreement with Hartree-Fock predictions and with the results of other hadronic probes.  相似文献
