The problem of reflection and transmission of plane waves incident on the contact surface of an elastic solid and an electro-microstretch generalized thermoelastic solid is discussed. It is found that there exist five reflected waves, i.e., longitudinal displacement (LD) wave, thermal (T) wave, longitudinal microstretch (LM) wave and two coupled transverse displacement and microrotational (CD(I) and CD(II)) waves in the electro-microstretch generalized thermoelastic solid, and two transmitted waves, i.e., longitudinal (P) and transverse (SV) waves in the elastic solid. The amplitude ratios of different reflected and transmitted waves are obtained for an imperfect boundary and deduced for normal force stiffness, transverse force stiffness, and perfect bonding. The variations of amplitude ratios with incidence angles have been depicted graphically for the LD wave and the CD(I) wave. It is noticed that the amplitude ratios of reflected and transmitted waves are affected by the stiffness, electric field, stretch, and thermal properties of the media. Some particular interest cases have been deduced from the present investigations.  相似文献

The present paper is devoted to the study of Rayleigh wave propagation in a homogeneous, transversely isotropic, thermoelastic diffusive half-space, subject to stress free, thermally insulated/isothermal, and chemical potential boundary conditions in the context of the generalized thermoelastic diffusion theory. The Green-Lindsay(GL) theory is used in the study. In this theory, thermodiffusion and thermodiffusion mechanical relaxations are governed by four different time constants. Secular equations for surface wave propagation in the considered media are derived. Anisotropy and diffusion effects on the phase velocity, attenuation coefficient are graphically presented in order to present the analytical results and make comparison. Some special cases of frequency equations are derived from the present investigation.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to develop and present the macroscopic motion equations for the fluid and the solid matrix, in the case of a saturated porous medium, in the form of coupled, nonlinear wave equations for the fluid and solid velocities. The nonlinearity in the equations enables the generation of shock waves. The complete set of equations required for determining phase velocities in the case of a thermoelastic solid matrix, includes also the energy balance equation for the porous medium as a whole, as well as mass balance equations for the two phase. In the special case of a rigid solid matrix, the wave after an abrupt change in pressure propagates only through the fluid.  相似文献

基于弹性动力学的线性理论,建立了涂层材料中广义瑞利波传播的理论分析模型,并 且由波动方程和边界条件推导了波的频散方程.分析了慢层和快层对相速度频散的影响,给 出了不同层厚-波长比和不同涂层-基体密度比情况下广义瑞利波相速度的理论解.算例分 析分别比较了慢层和快层结构中波的相速度、群速度,以及随深度衰减的位移与应力振 幅.另外,相速度曲线和位移振幅曲线与文献中给出的结果吻合,验证了理论模型和分析过 程的正确性.  相似文献

Summary Nonlinear thermoelastic continua with Fourier's type of heat conduction illustrate complex systems composed of internal and reaction-diffusion subsystems. An evolution equation is derived for the observable variable (deformation) when temperature effects are viewed as internal processes. This approach, which pertains to the so-called instantaneous wave analysis, shows that thermal losses accompanying the deformation wave correspond to the low-frequency approximation.  相似文献

The propagation of circularly crested thermoelastic diffusive waves in an infinite homogeneous transversely isotropic plate subjected to stress free, isothermal/insulated and chemical potential conditions is investigated in the framework of different thermo- elastic diffusion theories. A problem concerned with the reflection and refraction of thermoelastic plane waves at an imperfect interface between two generalized thermally conducting cubic crystal solid half-spaces of different elastic and thermal properties with two relaxation times has been investigated. The generalized thermoelastic theory with two relaxation times developed by Green and Lindsay has been used to study the problem. The expressions for the reflection and refraction coefficients which are the ratios of the amplitudes of reflected and refracted waves to the amplitude of incident waves are obtained for an imperfect boundary and deduced for normal stiffness, transverse stiffness, thermal contact conductance, slip and welded boundaries. Amplitude ratios of different reflected and refracted waves for different boundaries with angle of emergence have been compared graphically for different incident waves. It is observed that the amplitude ratios of reflected and refracted waves are affected by the stiffness and thermal properties of the media.  相似文献

The present problem is concerned with the study of deformation of a rotating generalized thermoelastic solid with an overlying infinite thermoelastic fluid due to different forces acting along the interface under the influence of gravity.The components of displacement,force stress,and temperature distribution are first obtained in Laplace and Fourier domains by applying integral transforms,and then obtained in the physical domain by applying a numerical inversion method.Some particular cases are also discussed in the context of the problem.The results are also presented graphically to show the effect of rotation and gravity in the medium.  相似文献

This study discusses wave propagation in perhaps the most general model of a poroelastic medium. The medium is considered as a viscoelastic, anisotropic and porous solid frame such that its pores of anisotropic permeability are filled with a viscous fluid. The anisotropy considered is of general type, and the attenuating waves in the medium are treated as the inhomogeneous waves. The complex slowness vector is resolved to define the phase velocity, homogeneous attenuation, inhomogeneous attenuation, and angle of attenuation for each of the four attenuating waves in the medium. A non-dimensional parameter measures the deviation of an inhomogeneous wave from its homogeneous version. An numerical model of a North-Sea sandstone is used to analyze the effects of the propagation direction, inhomogeneity parameter, frequency regime, anisotropy symmetry, anelasticity of the frame, and viscosity of the pore-fluid on the propagation characteristics of waves in such a medium.  相似文献

The present paper is concerned with the investigation of disturbances in'a homogeneous, isotropic elastic medium with generalized thermoelastic diffusion, when a moving source is acting along one of the co-ordinate axis on the boundary of the medium. Eigen value approach is applied to study the disturbance in Laplace-Fourier transform domain for a two dimensional problem. The analytical expressions for displacement components, stresses, temperature field, concentration and chemical potential are obtained in the physical domain by using a numerical technique for the inversion of Laplace transform based on Fourier expansion techniques. These expressions are calculated numerically for a copper like material and depicted graphically. As special cases, the results in generalized thermoelastic and elastic media are obtained. Effect of presence of diffusion is analyzed theoretically and numerically.  相似文献

It is known that a subsonic surface (Rayleigh) wave exists in an anisotropic elastic half-space x2  0 if the first transonic state is not of Type 1. If the first transonic state is of Type 1 but the limiting wave is not exceptional, a subsonic surface wave exists. If the first transonic state is of Type 1 and the limiting wave is exceptional, a subsonic surface wave exists when . It is shown that an exceptional body wave is necessarily an exceptional transonic wave, and could be an exceptional limiting wave. Only two wave speeds are possible for an exceptional body wave. We present explicit conditions in terms of the reduced elastic compliances for the existence of an exceptional body wave. If an exceptional body wave exists, conditions are given for identifying whether the transonic state is of Type 1. Hence, through the existence of an exceptional body wave we provide explicit conditions for the existence of a subsonic surface wave with the exception when needs to be computed.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the propagation of Rayleigh waves in an elastic half-space with impedance boundary conditions. The half-space is assumed to be orthotropic and monoclinic with the symmetry plane x3=0x3=0. The main aim of the paper is to derive explicit secular equations of the wave. For the orthotropic case, the secular equation is obtained by employing the traditional approach. It is an irrational equation. From this equation, a new version of the secular equation for isotropic materials is derived. For the monoclinic case, the method of polarization vector is used for deriving the secular equation and it is an algebraic equation of eighth-order. When the impedance parameters vanish, this equation coincides with the secular equation of Rayleigh waves with traction-free boundary conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we are interested in the propagation of Rayleigh waves in orthotropic fluid-saturated porous media. This problem was investigated by Liu and Liu (2004). The authors have derived the secular equation of the wave but that secular equation is still in implicit form. The main aim of this paper is to derive explicit secular equation of the wave. By employing the method of polarization vector, the secular equations of Rayleigh waves in explicit form is obtained. This equation recovers the dispersion equation of Rayleigh waves propagating in pure orthotropic elastic half-spaces. Remarkably, the secular equation obtained is not a complex equation as the one derived by Liu and Liu, it is a really real equation.  相似文献

对于热弹性平面问题,过去广泛集中在直接变量边界元法研究,本文研究间接变量规则化边界元法,建立了间接变量规则化边界积分方程。和直接边界元法相比,间接法具有降低密度函数的连续性要求、位移梯度方程中的热载荷体积分具有较弱奇异性等优点。数值实施中,用精确单元描述边界几何,不连续插值函数逼近边界量。算例表明,本文方法效率高,所得数值结果与精确解相当吻合。  相似文献

The constitutive relations and field equations for anisotropic generalized thermoelastic diffusion are derived and deduced for a particular type of anisotropy, i.e. transverse isotropy. Green and Lindsay (GL) theory, in which, thermodiffusion and thermodiffusion–mechanical relaxations are governed by four different time constants, is selected for study. The propagation of plane harmonic thermoelastic diffusive waves in a homogeneous, transversely isotropic, elastic plate of finite width is studied, in the context of generalized theory of thermoelastic diffusion. According to the characteristic equation, three quasi-longitudinal waves namely, quasi-elastodiffusive (QED-mode), quasi-massdiffusive (QMD-mode) and quasi-thermodiffusive (QTD-mode) can propagate in addition to quasi-transverse waves (QSV-mode) and the purely quasi-transverse motion (QSH-mode), which is not affected by thermal and diffusion vibrations, gets decoupled from the rest of the motion of wave propagation. The secular equations corresponding to the symmetric and skew symmetric modes of the plate are derived. The amplitudes of displacements, temperature change and concentration for symmetric and skew symmetric modes of vibration of plate are computed numerically. Anisotropy and diffusion effects on the phase velocity, attenuation coefficient and amplitudes of wave propagation are presented graphically in order to illustrate and compare the analytically results. Some special cases of frequency equation are also deduced from the existing results.  相似文献

The present paper studies the propagation of plane time harmonic waves in an infinite space filled by a thermoelastic material with microtemperatures. It is found that there are seven basic waves traveling with distinct speeds: (a) two transverse elastic waves uncoupled, undamped in time and traveling independently with the speed that is unaffected by the thermal effects; (b) two transverse thermal standing waves decaying exponentially to zero when time tends to infinity and they are unaffected by the elastic deformations; (c) three dilatational waves that are coupled due to the presence of thermal properties of the material. The set of dilatational waves consists of a quasi-elastic longitudinal wave and two quasi-thermal standing waves. The two transverse elastic waves are not subjected to the dispersion, while the other two transverse thermal standing waves and the dilatational waves present the dispersive character. Explicit expressions for all these seven waves are presented. The Rayleigh surface wave propagation problem is addressed and the secular equation is obtained in an explicit form. Numerical computations are performed for a specific model, and the results obtained are depicted graphically.  相似文献

This study is concerned with the reflection and transmission of plane waves at an imperfectly bonded interface between two orthotropic micropolar elastic half-spaces with different elastic and micropolar properties. There exist three types of coupled waves in xy-plane. The reflection and transmission coefficients of quasi-longitudinal (QLD) wave, quasi-coupled transverse microrotational (QCTM) wave and quasi-coupled transverse displacement (QCTD) wave have been derived for different incidence waves and deduced for normal force stiffness, transverse force stiffness, transverse couple stiffness and perfect bonding. The numerical values of modules of the reflection and transmission coefficients are presented graphically with the angle of incidence for orthotropic micropolar medium (MOS) and isotropic micrpolar medium (MIS).
