The nucleophilic displacement of two nitro groups in 3,4-bis(3-nitrofurazan-4-yl)furoxan with ammonia, primary aliphatic amines
and hydrazine leads to formation of a novel heterocyclic system, 7H-tris[1,2,5]oxadiazolo[3,4-b:3′,4′-d:3″,4″-f]azepine. The
reaction of compound 1 with secondary aliphatic amines proceeds in a typical way for nitrofurazans when the nitro-group in
the starting compound is substituted by RR’N-group.

By the reaction of 2-methyl-furan-3-carboxylic acid hydrazide with isothiocyanates, 1-[(2-methyl-furan-3-yl)carbonyl]-4-substituted
thiosemicarbazides 1 were obtained. Further cyclization with 2% NaOH led to the formation of 3-(2-methyl-furan-3-yl)-4-substituted-Δ2-1,2,4-triazoline-5-thiones 2. The pharmacological effects of 2 on the central nervous system in mice were investigated. Strong antinociceptive properties
of the investigated derivatives were observed in a wide range of doses.

1 with ketonic Mannich bases derived from acetophenones, acetylnaphthalenes, 2-acetylthiophene and 1-tetralone to afford a
series of novel 1-(3-oxopropyl)benzimidazoles. The reduction of these transamination products with NaBH4 in methanol produced the corresponding 1-(3-hydroxypropyl)benzimidazoles in excellent yields.

In this paper the procedure for the preparation of inclusion complexes of amlodipine besylate with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) and
2-hydrohypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HPβ-CD) and their structural characterization was described. Molecular inclusion complexes
of amlodipine besylate are prepared by the coprecipitation method and characterised by the application of spectroscopic methods
FTIR, 1H-NMR and XRD. The photosensitivity of amlodipine besylate in the inclusion complexes was also determined with respect to
uncomplexed agent. DSC curves indicate the loss of the clear peak due to melting of amlodipine besylate at about 200°C, while
on XR diffractograms certain reflections are lost belonging to amlodipine besylate in complexes. This indicates its inclusion
in the vacancies of the host. The inclusion of amlodipine besylate with cyclodextrins increases the stability, i.e. decreases the photosensitivity of amlodipine besylate.

reaction of this ligand with gallium chloride afforded complexes of 1:1 and 2:1 stoichiometry. The results of X-ray diffraction
studies of the ligand and both gallium complexes are reported and compared with the data for a related gallium complex with
a Schiff base obtained from 9-bromo-7,12-dihydroindolo[3,2-d][1]benzazepin-6-ylhydrazine and 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde.

Borneol is a monoterpene that is a part of traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. (−) borneol reacted with methanesulfonyl
chloride in THF/pyridine to afford the new 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl methane sulfonate derivative in excellent
yield. The product is characterized by H1NMR, C13NMR, mass spectroscopy as well as elemental analysis and its structure was identified by X-ray single crystal diffraction.
The packing of 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl methanesulfonate exhibits the non-classical C-H···O hydrogen bonding
in C(4) and R2
2(8) chain and ring motifs as structural determinants. This was also confirmed by the analysis of Hirshfeld surfaces. The 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl
methane sulfonate antimicrobial activity was tested and compared with its parent (−) borneol against three different pathogens.
Particularly, 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl methane sulfonate showed high sensitivity, compared to Chloramphenicol
reference material, against Escherichia coli.

pressure (γcollapse) is smaller, whilst all the molecular area parameters are larger. The limited area (Alimited) and the initial area (Ainitial) of these twin-tailed gemini surfactants change with increasing spacer length s, and the surface pressure decreases with
increasing time. It was also found that the higher the initial surface pressure, the larger the attenuation.

The addition of formylphenylboronic acid derivatives to thiourea and ethyl acetoacetate proceeds in the presence of an additional
Lewis acid catalyst to give the corresponding 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-(thio)ones (Biginelli products) in moderate yield.
Compounds were tested for antifungal activity against pure cultures of Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae but, unfortunately, none showed any appreciable activity.
